Happy Spooky Times! We decorated our house for Halloween a week ago, so here are a couple of pictures showcasing what's out front. :) Mostly plastic tablecloth ghosts, as you can see -- and if you're wondering what the white stuff on the porch is, it's cheesecloth torn up a bit to look like spiderweb! We got inspired by our trip to Southwick Zoo a couple weeks ago, where they'd done a similar thing around the park to decorate for the season. Both easier to clean up and safer for the local wildlife than the traditional sticky stretchy stuff! :)
#happy halloween#decorations#ghosts#bats#tombstones#you will probably recognize the ghosts as the ones we made last year#two of them have lights inside their head so we can light them up at night if we want#the third doesn't but that's the one hanging on the lamppost#so it'll be lit up by the light from that#the witch ghosts we got from the dollar store ages ago and have held up nicely#along with the plastic bats#and yeah I rather like our cheesecloth spiderwebs#I've been hearing a lot about how the traditional stuff you get in the store is actually really dangerous for wildlife#and Mom was sick of trying to clean it up#so we were just gonna skip it this year#and then we went to Southwick and saw what they did with the cheesecloth and went 'hey!'#so that'll probably be our new go-to :)#but yeah I think it looks pretty cool don't you?
