Ever wondered why Sydney will write an excerpt from The Book of Ruth in her letter to Maggie when she is Jewish? (can’t get this thought out of my head so here��s the qn for you)

I've always heard the Book of Ruth was important to Jewish people? Frankly, I've only ever associated it with them... Let's see. Okay, Wikipedia says:

The Book of Ruth (abbreviated Rth) (Hebrew: מגילת רות‎, Megilath Ruth, "the Scroll of Ruth", one of the Five Megillot) is included in the third division, or the Writings (Ketuvim), of the Hebrew Bible. ... The book is held in esteem by Jews who fall under the category of Jews-by-choice, as is evidenced by the considerable presence of Boaz in rabbinic literature. The Book of Ruth also functions liturgically, as it is read during the Jewish holiday of Shavuot ("Weeks").

I guess there are both some Christians and Jewish people who consider it important?
