I'm all for remixing a song and trying something new with it! But sometimes. Sometimes. You just have to accept that you can't turn a song into something that it just isn't

#case in point: people trying to turn The Storm by TheFatRat into a dark edgy piece (or lo-fi mix. what)#honey that. that just doesn't work. neither the melody nor the lyrics lend themselves to that #I'm sorry for anyone that tries I know you're doing your best #but sweetie please. just accept your defeat #the song is intrinsically hopeful and happy and upbeat. it's in its DNA. there's nothing you can do about that #trying to make it anything other than that is not gonna work
