EP14 Horse Ranch Glove Texture Hotfix

Just a tiny default replacement. Loving playing with the new pack for the most part, but of course EA is going to EA. Noticed straight away that the texture for the gloves that came with the new pack glitches with (at least) 2 of the tops that also came with the pack. (Maybe more, these are just the only 2 I happened to try pairing with the gloves.)

This is a default replacement for the gloves so their texture doesn't conflict with tops anymore.

Sooo, recently I've found a way to fix (in my opinion) "unfinished", alpha custom content made for TS4. First I tried to remodel a high-poly shirt and copy the UV map from the original to the low-poly one. With this method I was able to decrease the polycount from 19k to 1,8k in 2-3 hours.

After that I tried to figure out a faster method and found an open source auto remesher addon/plugin for Blender which cut the work time in half, 1 hour! Tried this plugin out with another shirt and I was able to cut down ~8k polies AND keep the quality that the original shirt had!

Then another one!

I honestly don't know what to say. I am convinced now that most TS4 CC creators only make their work to fill their pockets and wallets. I know they say that they do this out of a hobby, but PLEASE, if you put your work behind a paywall, at least make sure it's optimized.

👹 EAxis somehow managed to break 18 Deformer Maps that control the shape of all of our bodies back in July with Update 7/23/2024. Since then, we've had NINE (9) updates, TWO (2) new Kits, ONE (1) new FOMO Event, ONE (1) new Expansion Pack, and TWO (2) freshly minted "Creator Kits", BUT THEY STILL HAVEN'T FIXED OUR BODIES! I've now gone the extra mile and listed all 18 Instance identifiers for the 18 Deformer Maps in my most recent comment on the Bug Report following the release of Update 9/18/2024: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Spine-distortion-on-male-Sims-with-female-frame/m-p/14053376/highlight/true#M293677

🌺 "KEEP READING" TO UNDERSTAND HOW THIS AFFECTS EVERYONE AND NOT JUST MALE SIMS WITH FEMININE FRAMES.

All sims aged TEEN through ELDER are affected by this but you will only see it under certain circumstances:

The distortion will not occur when wearing frame-appropriate clothing.

Cisframe sims will see it when wearing clothing that was made for the opposite Physical Frame. As a cisframe simmer, you might still ask yourself how this affects you, to which I will say, for the last 10 years EAxis has done and continues to do a horrible job at their own Restrict Opposite PartFlags despite numerous bug reports. There are numerous clothing made for one or the other that is improperly flagged for the opposite, eg. there are MANY Lower Body pants available for Female sims that appear under Feminine Fashion that was made for Male sims and cause distortions on Female bodies. They were NOT remade for Female sims. The Male item was flagged for both Fashion Choices.

Transframe sims will see it when nude or wearing "default" underwear and also when wearing clothing that was made for the opposite Physical Frame. The above applies, but if you've got a transframe sim, you've already encountered that issue even before this "bug" was introduced. Fixing these incompetent Restrict Opposite PartFlags is the core concept behind my CAS Overrides.

Male sims with Feminine Frames will see a raised "spine" from neck to butt while Female sims with Masculine Frames will see a sunken "spine".

Female sims with Feminine Frames wearing Male clothing will see a raised "spine" from neck to butt, and Male sims with Masculine Frames wearing Female clothing will see a sunken "spine".

Here's your friendly warning to backup all your CC, Saves, Tray Files… well, your entire Electronics Arts folder really. The update coming tomorrow will be big.

Seriously, with how bad For Rent was in terms of corrupting saves and lots that people have been building for years, I just wouldn't play your most important saves with the new patch for a few weeks until the community confirms what's broken. This goes for people playing without CC too. The last few updates have caused bugs that affect the game at its core, and simply removing your CC will not fix it.

Body Hair (FIX for Full color skins)

Studying the ways to make my full color skin Ostap (not Overlay, Overlay works perfectly with any body hair;D) compatible with Body Hair by Luumia ans Simdulgence, I came to conclusion that I have to fix my favorite body hair to work with my skin and many more other Full Color skins by other creators I adore so much. I made this fix for myself. I do not claim this files as my own, all credits belong to their authors. If you're the author of this Body Hair and you don't want me to share this fix or/and you already have/gonna have your own fix - please, contact me!

Fix for LUUMIA BodyHairV5PLUS:

+ I moved all hairs to the Front Torso in Body Hair section (Hairs are no longer Tattoos, yay!) + I changed the Sort Layer level to fit Full Color skins 

For Simdulgence BodyHair:

+ I changed the Sort Layer level to fit Full Color skins

Installation:

You'll have to replace your body hair files with this one! Make sure you don't keep them both (Original and FIX), cos they gonna conflict with each other. They're identical to the original, but gonna work for both Overlay and Full Color skins.
