To kickstart the non-debate:

Arthur and Mera do agree to speak with the child king at a later date, set a time and place in atlantis to discuss things and the child king is visibly relieved and asks if its okay if he calls on his mentors in the Infinite Realm and his Legal Guardian (Clockwork) as he is the main contact point for earth and trying to keep his citizens contained and minimize the damage so he’s antsy about leaving the portal unattended…

Arthur and Mera agree easily enough and have sussed out the following: child king is New to this, Untrained and a combatant not a politician. He is also in grave danger on the regular and trying to keep his rowdy citizens safe and be respectful of the Mortal Plane residents… and is also new to being dead and a child who died. A dead child is fighting for his afterlife and that of his citizens because of the US government and a portal made by US citizens that the government refuses to close/turn off.

So Arthur makes the grand decision to harass the JL Dark for more info and work out how badly the US government has fucked over earth and the possibly the mortal plane in multiple provocations for a war the child king is reluctant to declare as said childking is dealing with A Lot and being New to being a ghost and clearly got the throne through immensely convoluted means.

A childking who just wants his citizens to stay in the infinite realm as the portal is a danger and his people dont get how squishy mortals are and their Required Care.
