As we do each week, here is a reminder of the important info about the letters seen in lesson # 5, I'll include some additional details so that it's clearer. I have three important reminders / points that I'd like to draw your attention to.

1-The different forms of the letter هـ

Note : one of the final forms of ه looks a lot like تَاء مَرْبوطَة (the tied taa'), the only difference is that the ه doesn't have dots while the ة does.

Here's a small cheat sheet :

2-The letter alif as a consonant

This is a small cheat sheet for the letter alif with the hamza, since it can be confusing.

Form wise, it's the most challenging letter to master. It's kind of like the drama queen of Arabic. This is why I didn't want to start with it.

The good news is, that each variation is read the same way. Look at the first purple line for example .

The hamza (the top part of the alif) can either be written alone on the line (row #1); it could be written on ا (row #2) which is the most commonly seen form; it could be written on a و (row # 3) or on top of a dotless ي (row #4). There are also cases where the consonant ا is written alone without hamza as well.

All the letters in the purple column are pronounced the same way, the exact same way which is the sound you find [here]. It's basically the sound of alif + sukoon

All the letters in the green column are pronounced the same way, you can find the sound [here]. This is the letter alif + fatḥa

All the letters in blue column are pronounced the same way, the audio is [here]. This is the letter alif + ḍamma

Finally, the letters in the red column are pronounced the same way. [audio]. This is the letter alif + kasra

For the time being, we will not study the grammatical rule on when to use each form, I'd just like you to know that there are multiple forms and how to read them.

3- The letter أ + long vowels

This is an example of the letter ا (consonant) along with the vowels, the first row is the consonant alif + the vowel alif. Both forms are the same آ and ءا are the exact same things but different writings.

The second row is the consonant ا + the vowel و

Think of the semi-consonant as a sofa bed, it can be used as a sofa (the consonant) or as a bed (the vowel), depending on the situation (the word itself).

Let's try to find tips and tricks to help us memorize them!

ئ vs ى vs ي ــئـ vs ـيـ ـئ vs ـى vs ـي

The row in pink is a form of the letter alif (consonant) , you can tell because there is a hamza. The hamza + dotless yaa' always means that it's an alif

The part in green (the dotless yaa') is a form of alif (the vowel), this one is only found at the end of the word, this is why it doesn't have a middle form.

Finally in orange, our old friend, the letter ي, as long as it has dots, it's either the consonant yaa' or the vowel yaa'. Check the end of lesson #2 for how to distinguish the vowel yaa' vs the consonant yaa'

Skin care lengkap adalah hal yang paling langka buatku wkwkw (tapi ini belum yang lengkap banget sih)

Katanya skin care menjadi lambang seorang perempuan yang mencintai dirinya sendiri. Dengan memakai skin care merupakan salah satu bentuk rasa syukur merawat pemberian Allah. Beruntungnya saat ini tujuan orang tampil cantik + menjadi pede ya untuk dirinya sendiri, bukan untuk orang lain “Siapa sih yg ga seneng kalau lihat mukanya glowing”

Tapi sayangnya aku bukan orang yang rajin pakai skin care, bahkan sudah 3 bulan lebih aku nggak double cleanser (sebelumnya juga jarang banget). Bahkan kalau kalian tahu, 4 bulanan ini aku nggak pakek serum 🤣, apply sunscreen hanya pagi saja. Paling rutin cuman handbody, tapi kalau keburu kerja yaa telapak tangan aja yang ku olesi. Bedakkan juga tipis-tipis ditambah sedikit liptint tanpa warna.

Sebenarnya bukan karena tidak punya uang atau ngirit, tapii apa yaaa aku juga bingung. Kadang aku mikir asal wajahku baik-baik aja ga perlu neko-neko.

Kalau udah kesambet (Eitss bukan karena cowok ya) karena kemauan hatii yang tiba tiba rajin pakai semuanya. Maskeran rutin, sering ngaca, pakai liptint pink wkwk, terus skin carenya di bawa di tas kayak ciwi ciwi pada umumnya.🤣 Syukur alhamdulillah di balik semua itu, skin careku jadi awet alias 3-4 bulan baru habis. Artinya dalam setahun aku beli skin care hanya 3-4x aja, artinya juga aku bisa mengalokasi uangku buat kebutuhan lain.

Nahh jadi keinget pernah bercanda sama temen pas akhir 2021 (pas habis lulus susah nyari kerja :v) yang kira-kira begini “Ya Allah cocokkan lah aku dengan skin care yang murah-murah aja, biar uangku bisa buat amal kebaikan yang lain”

Heu, ternyata ucapan itu tidak sekedar ajang bercanda, melainkan bisa jadi di ijabah-Nya :”)

— Good question to begin with. Well, well, well... Valentine actually has two significant partners in her lore so far. Yes, two! It's not just Garreth.

(1) First Love: They dated during her 5th year. As you might've already guessed, their relationship was innocent, sweet, and fun-loving.

(2) Garreth Weasley: They started to date during their 7th year, and man, their journey was more of a slow burn. They both find a lot of fun in their relationship but also a good balance of depth, which Val loves.

IN THEIR GROUP OF FRIENDS, WHAT ROLE DO THEY PLAY IN THEIR LIVES? IF NOT APPLICABLE, IN GENERAL WHAT ROLE DO THEY PLAY AROUND OTHERS?

— Val is definitely that one super chill, but also really fun to hang out with friend. She's that one very supportive friend and will shower you with love type. Want to do something fun and spontaneous? Let's do it. Want to rant and cry? I'll listen and comfort you. You did something embarrassing? C'mon, let's be idiots together. You committed a crime and don't know what to do about it? Come here, let's work it out. This kid is sometimes even loyal to a fault, but she'll always have your back. She won't also hesitate to fight for you. Plus, you can share even your most deemed unlovable parts of yourself to her, and she would love you, anyway. No judgment, only love and constant care ♡

WHAT'S YOUR MCs BACKSTORY?

— Val is the only child of a dark witch and wizard who constantly traversed the globe to do their illegal business. At some point, this business of theirs led to their untimely end. Then their now orphaned daughter was only four years old when it happened. Even though she was very young and can barely understand what occurred, this actually affected her deeply. Her parent's death caused a change in her appearance. Her pink hair become black, and her pink eyes became green.

Val was then taken in by her Uncle Phineas and Aunt Ursula. She lived with them in London alongside her two cousins at that time.

Growing up wasn't a particularly pleasant experience for Val. For instance, she would always get blamed or punished for things she didn't do. She doesn't get equal treatment like her cousins. Her uncle begrudgingly took her only because Val's father is his favorite sibling. And her extended family are just really something else (in a bad way).

Despite that, this kid created her own little world where she found solace, and that is her reading books and secretly attempting to follow some basic potion recipes. It feels illegal and sneaky for the young Val, but it gave her the chance to feel control of her life.

On the contrary, she eventually became her uncle and aunt's favorite when they noticed that the kid is brilliant and undeniably creative. But then, this was where the cousin rivalry started.

This became even worse when she didn't receive any acceptance letter from Hogwarts while her cousins did. For this reason itself, Val almost got disowned by her uncle, but was persuaded by her aunt to send her to a boarding school instead.

After she was successful sent there, it didn't go any better. Val had a hard time not feeling like a failure Squib. Other than that, she find it difficult to make friends, cope up with societal norms, carry the burden of family expectations, deal with adolescence, and worst, tragic loss of a friend.

After years of living in a constant state of darkness, she got into an accident that she unknowingly caused that time that would change the course of her life forever.

WHAT IS YOUR MC LIKE DRUNK?

— A PARTY ANIMAL/LIFE OF THE PARTY!

I mean, sure, she's usually chill and all that, BUT when she's drunk, this gal be bustin' some sick moves! and the vibes? IMMACULATE. But sometimes, she just gets sleepy.

IN MODERN DAY, WHAT WOULD YOUR MC BE LIKE?

— Val would be that one charismatic/cool but very grounded person you'd meet. This kid probably doesn't use her social media (just for communication with friends only). She'd probably be an entrepreneur and/or pursue something in the arts. Her aesthetic would mainly be grunge/rock but also wears some classic pieces and something comfortable ! Also, I feel like this kid would have those cool cars (since she has like a lot of brooms). Another is, I think that she'd enjoy doing makeup, too! Probably, a philantropist as well. And most importantly, someone who wants to leave a good mark in the world.

WHAT IS YOUR MCs BIGGEST HEARTBREAK?

— When her first best friend took her life. This took a huge toll on Val. She'd get nightmares about it and sometimes blame herself for not doing enough to save her friend's life.

Another is her breakup with her first love. She loved him so much, but she knows that if they stay together, it's gonna hurt them. Choosing the right decisions isn't the easiest one to do. But in the grand scheme of things, it's for the best.
