A/N: this is short and terrible but I love natasha

Her hair felt like silk through your finger tips, even the part at the end that was still dyed a bleach blonde from years ago. Itd only been 6 years but jesus it felt like a century ago that you two had come back from wakanda, dirty and battered and, in your case, beaten half to death.

You’d almost lost her, and she’d almost lost you. Too many times to count.

But she was here. And her heart was beating steadily against your fingertips. You could feel the rise and fall of her chest and her soft breath on your cheek.

“Why are you crying?” she asked, startling you out of your daze. You hadn’t even realized she was awake. Concern painted her gorgeous features as her hand came up to brush a tear from your cheek.

“I’m just so glad you’re here. It’s amazing natasha, that you exist, and you’re here with me. Every day that i get to spend with you I’m forever thankful for” you let out a shakey breath, feeling like you were going to sob for some reason. “I just- I don’t know how to explain it but just being here with you, it makes me happier than anything in the world”

Before you could ramble further, she kissed you for a fleeting moment. She didn’t need to say anything, her eyes spoke louder than anything she could verbalize. They said:

I know. I feel the same way. My mind longs for you, my lungs need you to breathe, my heart beat is synched with yours. I love you.

She kissed you again, this time longer and softer and in that second she didn’t feel like the black widow, she felt like she always had to you. Home
