Hi!!! I just wanted to talk about how Dan and Phil as a brand is so relatable to neurodivergents in the way that they've been treated recently. So DnP built their careers off of being "weird" and "quirky" and socially awkward. That was Their Thing. Dan spoke for years about being violently bullied (quotes such as "being punched in the head by dickheads" stand out as a pre-BIG example of just how violent it got at times), Phil had the Why I Was a Weird Kid series, they both were frequently talked about as being "weird" and "awkward" by other YouTubers - they WERE the "weird" ones of the vlog group. The ones that awkward teens could relate to. Unfortunately, this got the attention of the #imsoquirky crowd who talks like they're experiencing all of these things while also being the same people who would mock me for my autism.

And that's the crowd now saying Dan is too old to be posting catboy photos or saying that the two of them "give the ick now, idk why." And I just can't help but notice how much I relate to that as an autistic and ADHD person. So many times over the years, I've made "friends" who were slightly into my interests, but then got weirded out by how hard I went into them. I think what we're seeing is the same thing happening to Dan and Phil. Drawing cat whiskers on your face to answer questions? Well that's "so cute and quirky"!! (/s). But actually playing as Catboys in JRPGs, dressing up in cat ears, making animal noises (which the two of them always did but ig this group overlooked), etc? Well that's "too far" and "so weird."

I think Dan especially got hit with this because he has more subscribers. When he talks about being bullied, most people can relate to that. But then when he goes and honks a horn in a game repeatedly (which tbh I've done before myself, very ADHD coded of him) or talks about hiding behind vending machines to avoid talking to people, that is suddenly "too annoying/weird" for some of the audience that got into him for his "relatably weird" content.

Sorry this is such a long ramble, but basically Dan and Phil have accidentally become the perfect examples of how kids with autism/ADHD/social pragmatic disorder/nvld/dyspraxia *insert other neurodivergencies that can cause atypical socialization* are treated. People might find your initial "quirkiness" relatable because everyone feels awkward or socially anxious at times, but it's when they see that you are Actually Just Like That and it's not to be #relatable that they turn on you and start saying that you're "too much" and "too weird."

Dan and Phil were the "weird" ones of the British vlog scene, and those of us who tuned into the younows or watched their older videos knew this, but someone who only subbed after watching a meme review or the two of them playing undertale might have assumed that they were the "right" kind of quirky/weird.

Have they ever gotten collared by Riddle? For what? How long? How often does it happen?

Locket's definitely gotten collared at least once for eating an apple tart that was supposed to be Riddle's. ((Kinda mentioned this once before in a previous post)) But it was only for a few minute as Locket quickly apologized and offered to make him a brand new one with Trey's help of course.

What's the worst thing they've gotten away with? What's something they do exclusively in the rose maze in hopes nobody finds out, if anything?

Giving Mitsuka a room to stay in at Ramshackle when she's not even a student at NRC! Like I'm pretty sure the ghosts were welcoming but also reluctant to say anything since Locket treats them all so well and lets practically anyone inside no matter how absurd the reason is ksjfhshfsh

As for what Locket's exclusively done in the rose maze... She doesn't exactly do anything special. Maybe just walks through it in the hopes of finding a hedgehog to play with but that's about it.

Forget-Me-Nots! She just likes how they look really- Poor girl doesn't have much of a green thumb unfortunately so she wouldn't be growing them any time soon. She just appreciates them from afar

Tbh Locket doesn't specialize in any particular sport. She's likes to stay physically active no matter what the occasion calls for.

I can imagine she tried to join the track & field club and spelldrive club but ultimately settled on the equestrian club thanks to her love of horses! ((That and her lack of magical capabilities prevented her from so much as asking Leona to join the spelldrive club kshsohfo)) But she has been allowed to referee/cheer a couple of times ;w;///

How protective of their food are they? Is there a reason why, besides instinct/hunger? Or are they more likely to share food?

Ooooo Locket is a sharer through & through! You don't even need to ask, she'll literally offer pieces of her food away if you so much as look like you want a bite of what she's having. Funny enough her favorite food is a tuna sandwich so you can imagine how often she willingly forks over half of it to Grim (or just flat out makes him his own so he won't feel left out)

Indeed she does! But only when staffing is low- She mainly works as a server but has occasionally bussed tables when food traffic is slow... And of course it was by choice! She just likes to help wherever she can! The only pet peeve she has about the job is Azul refuses to let her work in the kitchen!!! He claims it's cuz they need her charming smile in the front of the house to attract customers but Locket thinks its cuz he doesn't trust her making the food!

Before coming to the world of Twisted Wonderland, Locket was taught how to play piano! Though, she hasn't really played/practiced ever since she left... So no one knows! As far as singing goes, she has a pretty voice! Something like a bird song if you will- Personally I think she sounds cute but she could stand to learn a thing or two from a choir class or two skjfhshf

And she most certainly helps with set up!!! Taking down is a 50/50 cuz she'll either be passed out on the side with Kalim or still full of energy and the need to be useful!

Locket kinda feels like her life to parallel to both Kalim & Jamil in a sense that may not be clear unless you know her backstory. But we don't have time to unpack all that so... Being near Jamil makes her feel a bit uneasy. She wishes he could "runaway" as she once did but knows the circumstances for him are entirely different than hers...

She does think he's very reliable and tends to offer him her aid when needed!

And no, Locket doesn't appreciate what Jamil did to Kalim but has chosen to let her hard feelings go only because she could sympathize with Kalim's feelings in the end.

In the world of twst she doesn't necessarily have any physical insecurities??? Literally nobody knows her (at the start) and that allows any insecurities to die fast.

Personality wise, she sometimes feels as though she's lying to everyone... Like I mentioned before, literally knows her. She keeps her past a secret as best as she can and goes about her days as if she's just some girl. Deep down she really wants to tell her friends the truth but knows that if she did, then they'd all look at her in a completely different light... Good or bad? She doesn't know and doesn't want to find out.

Just went to the elriel tag to look at their art because I genuinely love them but now I feel somehow. I am fairly new to the fandom and don’t know how things work and that people go all out for shipwars I didn’t know if you don’t ship a certain ship you should stay away from their content they made me feel so icky for shipping elucien they didn’t use the exact words of calling him a creep but there was so many insinuations I legit saw one say that if you ship elain and lucien your weird because why would you ship people that are uncomfortable around each other. E/riels are a special brand of wild and moronic behavior. Not all but majority of them are some of the biggest immature cyberbullies I've ever witnessed. I'm so sorry you had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with them.

Elucien is endgame. They can accept it and keep E/riel as fanon or leave the Fandom.

This is what I don't understand. Obviously not every ship in every book, movie, TV, etc will be Canon. We all have tropes we favor and characters we think would be good together. They won't be endgame. They might not even have a relationship. But that doesn't stop fanon. With fics, edits, art, head canons, whatever. Your ship can exist in Ganon. You can have this happy little slice of fanon heaven. I've done it time and time again.

You know what I didn't do? Change narratives in the Canon text to claim them for a fanon ship. I didn't provoke others online for shipping the Canon ship(now if they came for me or my friends it's on but I didn't go into random posts or ask boxes spewing negative. Calling them worthless or far worse because of it.) Anyway, I don't understand why E/riels can't just be satisfied in their own little fanon world. And leave everyone alone.

Lucien isn't a creep. He is kind and very respectful towards Elain. Three. He's given her three years and will continue to give her whatever time she needs to come to terms with bond. He'd never resort to some dumbass duel, cry like a selfish toddler that he's left out, or please himself to a fucking bottle of headache pills. Thats because he values. She means something to him. Even if they broke the bond, he would always be there for Elain. Unlike a certain bat boy who only wants her as a forbidden booty call.

Now that, that's out of the way. Let's talk about this Fandom. I'll be the first to say babes. Alot of this Fandom is toxic. And not just the E/riels. I've seen it from anti sjm, to anti/pro certain ships and characters. Tbh, if I wasn't apart of Star Wars or the HP Fandom. Shipping both Reylo and Dramione....I probably would have left this one.

I understand if you decide to leave this Fandom or take a step back (sometimes it's a good thing!).

However lovely anon. There's alot of us who do love acotar and although we know there's flaws in the characters and the books. We love it dearly. It's a special place in our hearts. You're Fandom experience is what you make of it. What I mean by that is simply if you wanna stay in the Fandom because the series itself do four things as often as you need too:

1. Block the tags

2. Block users

3. Unfollow those that make this experience negative.

4. Don't listen to E/riels (they've twisted so many narratives, have been consistently rude to artists and I believe well known bookstagram accounts too. Might add Vassa X Lucien shippers too. A few of them twist the narrative too in saying Lucien wants Vassa. When we were given those Jurian x Vassa moments. However, I've never had a bad experience with them personally)

Fandom should be fun, not stressful ❤

What are your thoughts about 3 episodes? Did you like them, any pros/cons?

i have lots of thoughts. i liked them, generally. the thanksgiving ep was such good, soapy fun. it was all So Much in a good way. the addition of saskia in particular was a joy.

luna and monet's absence in the thanksgiving episode was very much felt. this show most definitely needs them and at this point i'm begging for them to each have bigger plots. i wanna see what savannah smith can do because i know it’ll be good, like she’s giving leighton vibes but hasn’t gotten that blair script, and zion is one of the top performances on the show for me based on the comedy alone, like GIVE ME MORE, I’M NOT ASKING ANYMORE. i particularly want more luna/max because zion and thomas are really great together.

hoping that we've seen the last of rafa, or at LEAST the last of the max/rafa thing. it was kind of weird to build it up so much only for it to end so easily and quickly, but i'm just glad it's done lmao.

i'm also hopeful that we've seen the last of the zobie/jobie drama now that he's decided to be a better person or whatever and now that julien has a lot bigger things to worry about, but i know there’s obviously unfinished business. not unlike the original with blairena, the show is just better when zoya and julien are being friends and the triangle drama isn't even fun. i’m mostly reaaaally hoping they’ll move past the formula of “let’s make blair and serena fight about nothing every other episode,” because that brand of drama was never the best part of the show and, most of the time, was actually the worst.

on the topic of obie, 7 was his worst episode yet but he was more likeable in 8/9 than he has been all season. i think his friendship with aki brings out the best in him. the scenes with him driving julien and zoya around were fun, and i like them all as friends without the love triangle (imo, he needs to be love interest-less for awhile if he’s ever gonna be a likeable char). but i’m honestly still reeling from him getting mad at aki for… not coming out to him sooner? like… what? how is that your reaction to your best friend getting outed on the national news? so terrible. hopefully he’ll continue getting better but i’m keeping an eye on him.

akimaxdrey has arisen as the very best part of this season. somehow, they've become the heart of the show (aside from julien/zoya). they feel so genuine and i totally expected the writers to treat the ~throuple~ part of it all as much more scandalous than they have; i’m far from an expert on polyamorous relationships, but i’ve also never seen good representation because it’s always written salaciously or unsympathetically on tv, but these three feel so natural. out of everything so far, the writers have told this particular story with so much care and sincerity, imo, and i hope it stays that way throughout the rest of the season! and watching aki and audrey let each other grow and staying so patient and caring with each other is also juuuust :’) love them, they’re such a family.

i'm SO hesitant about this davis plot. i'm mostly just relieved they didn't actually go in the "the woman lied" direction, but hmmm. i hope they can/will ultimately do this topic justice. (and rip to all of the davis/nick shippers, sorry to y'all. i was really surprised that they took a relatively well-liked character in this direction.) the piling of shit onto julien in the last ep was also just so hard to watch tbh, like it's, um... very bad for her. feeling v bad for my bestie.

Great news, figured out a way for Ena to learn about Aviae!!!

Anyways, his older sibling is Revari (other rook, but in my canon worldstate they never become Rook. Ena just fit as the main character more which sucks bc I love Revari... Sigh anyways)

Revari has the same origin that they did as Rook: free some slaves, piss off some magisters. However, Varric isn't there to take them away to keep them from getting in trouble, so the Shadow Dragons decide to move them down to Dock Town. They basically get assigned Tarquin as a babysitter (that does not go well those two have a. Dynamic. Definitely one of the dynamics ever I've talked about it on here before, but when Revari isn't Rook those two figure out their shit SOOO much sooner. Actually have time to talk about their relationship and come to the realization that they are definitely just friends). Anyways during this time, they end up meeting Neve and the two become friends pretty quickly. Revari is a bit more hands on with the way they go about shadow dragoning (I've considered them working with Fenris in the past, which I kind of want to explore more eventually but know in my heart they've done at least one job together.) And by that I mean they have never thought twice about anything they have ever done. Both Revari and Ena have the worst impulse control known to man it's crazy.

Anyways, while Neve and Revari are friendly before the game, they don't actually become close friends until Minrathous falls and Neve stays in the city to help them recover. Revari has had to rein in their "quick thinking" (by that I mean charging head first into any and every fight) and has to stay more on the shadowy side of things. They're only alive because Tarquin had the good sense to talk them out of immediately picking a fight with all the venatori they saw (they aren't a complete idiot most of the time, but it seems my Surana family tree is extremely prone to getting very pissed off very quickly)

During this time Revari and Neve become very close, and by the time Neve returns to the Veilguard it's solidly crossed into mutual crushing. But they both have much bigger things to worry about, so nothing really comes of it until the blights are over.

Post Veilguard, they eventually start dating; I think their romance is still pretty close to how neverook goes in game, and both of them are fucking TERRIFIED of fucking it up. Neve still calls them "Trouble", all of that. Anyways it's probably a few months before Neve brings up like "hey maybe I should introduce you to the veilguard. You'd probably get along well you're definitely their brand of crazy"

Revari agrees, and NOW I'm getting back to the point I was initially planning for this post 💀. This is where Revari and Ena meet, and while they don't have instant recognition, it goes something like this.

Revari: So you're Rook. Is that your real name or...?

Ena: Nickname, my actual name is Ena. And yours?

Revari: Revari. Huh that's so weird I had a younger sister named Ena.

Ena: that's also weird bc I had an older sister named Revari.

Revari: ...

Ena:...

Revari: Are you from-

Ena: Denerim? Yeah. Oh my fucking god

The two of them get along pretty well (eventually I think they DO fight about the whole Minrathous/Treviso thing but tbh I think the joy of reuniting with the younger sibling you thought was dead makes Revari willing to ignore it. For now) Long story short Ena learns that he is in fact the cousin of The Hero of Fereldan (he had a suspicion bc he does remember his last name being Surana before he joined the crows, but he kinda convinced himself that he had made it up as a way of coping when he was a child or something)

Aviae and Ena do eventually meet, but Ena procrastinates it for months he is TERRIFIED of that woman. She has successfully survived TWO different crow contracts on her life, AND SHES CLOSE FRIENDS WITH ZEVRAN ARIANAI. He's slightly convinced that this is some elaborate plot to take him and Lucanis out or something. Aviae finds this hilarious when she learns about it

I think I've decided that I want Ena to be one of the elves taken during the "plague" in denerim during the first blight. Assuming DAV takes place in 9:49, he would have been 8 or 9 I think I need to check my timeline. He's my Surana's cousin, and the younger brother of one of my other Rook's (Revari isn't rook in my canon worldstate, but they are still a Mercar. They left for Tevinter at around 13 when their magic developed). Anyways him being my Surana's cousin is probably something he himself never actually learns (sadly). He doesn't even really talk about being from Fereldan at all, and I can't really say for certain that he would even remember his last name before he became a crow. Plus, he transitioned (kept his name tho) and so did his only sibling, so the likelihood of them recognizing each other is so painfully low.

Anyways, one of the Tevinter mages in the alienage claimed Ena had the plague, he gets shipped off. I haven't decided whether he was bought by the crows or scouted after somehow escaping (this one is becoming far less likely the more I think on it); either way, he ends up in the crows by the time he's 9. He gets his face scar like right before joining, so the first few months are even worse.

His magic developed not long after, and tbh this is the only reason I think he even survived. He was never really good at fighting in regular combat, but he was pretty good at getting the fuck out of the way when someone was trying to kill him. I think the Crows take better care of their mages (I can't remember if this is canon or a head canon but whatever) because they're a better investment. (Even when they become abominations, as crows are known to do occasionally, I do think generally they receive "kinder" treatment)

He meets Viago somewhere around age 10 (they have around a 8-10 year age gap, so Viago would be 18-20. At least going off of Viago being 34 to 36 in Veilguard. Everyday I pray that bioware will release and actual timeline bc god I am tired of figuring this shit out 😭), and immediately decides that he is going to be loyal to this guy in particular. I don't know why he decides this, but he's like 10 so it was probably some stupid reasoning.

At first Viago is annoyed, but I think after a certain point his brain kicked in and he went "wait having another crow (even one so young) who is insanely loyal to me is an AMAZING investment on my end". Teia isn't around to be his moral compass, so at this time in his life at least 9/10 of his decisions are made to further his own goals. This is around when he starts actually taking an interest in Ena, and keeping him around as an investment. He starts teaching him poisons, and building up Ena's poison resistance. Ena is notoriously loyal as hell and twice as stubborn so Viago 100% plans on using that to his advantage. I think Ena's magic developed not too long after this so he immediately becomes more useful lmao

Depending on when Viago became Talon, I do think it may be possible that Ena was one of the first to become a full crow under his leadership. If Viago is ~30 in Eight Little Talons, he had to have been a Talon for a few years, so he was probably made one in his late 20s I think? Teia is mentioned being one of the younger talons, and she's ~28 in eight little talons I think, and I'm pretty sure she's been a Talon for a few years at this point. Anyways, assuming Viago became a talon between 26-28, Ena could have been one of the first full crows under his command, being made a crow between 16-18. However, timelines like this make my head hurt so this may be completely inaccurate lmao

Somewhere between Viago realizing Ena is a good investment and Ena becoming a full crow, Viago becomes annoyingly fond of his little protege. He ends up bailing him out of trouble FAR more often than he would like. Ena is painfully good at becoming the annoying younger brother figure in anyone's life, and Viago is NOT exempt from that.

Ngl i cant stand the cold, my nose gets clogged and very runny in cold weather, my immune system is pretty weak too plus i grew up in an sub tropical country ( its 30° ish celcius most of the time here)
