for comparison this is the menu on the complete series dvd set that came out around the same time. while i find the design very underwhelming and bland (especially compared to the pioneer/geneon releases), it's at least easy to read and navigate the menu choices lmao

also i have no idea why "gunsmoke weekly" was put on the dvd menus, i think they carried over part of the box graphic design that was to make it look like a magazine cover without realizing that was not part of the show title/tagline???

shout out to the trigun badlands rumble bonus disc for having the worst dvd menu graphic design of all time

#i am always going to roast funi's release of trigun #i hate the font changes they did in the show itself #they forgot to put the original unique ops back in their first dvd release (the one i own)#the menus are so bland and don't even use music from the show ost like the pioneer/geneon releases #uses this stock western music i've come to despise #lacking in bonus features like the concept/production art galleries pioneer/geneon had #only clean op/ed on last disc #they did go hard on the package design tho i will give them that much #i want to get the geneon remix dvd release so bad #also those little guns in the dvd menu corner must be stock/clipart #does not match shape of any main character's guns #you can see right on the dvd box cover both vash's long colt and wolfwood's grader pistol have distinctly squarer shapes
