have been thinking for a while "why is my casual/natural english speech so weird?? it has a stronger accent(?) than my irls (whose parents are from here unlike mine) so its not the local accent?? its also not a japanese accent or anything bc I Would Know if it were??" and then i talked with one of my hafu friends in english for the first time in a long while and i realized ohhhhhh maybe its just bc im a hafu and a faggot AHSGHDJFA
#she is also queer#im speculating its a combination of midwest/southern accent (bc indiana is technically southern too in terms of culture)#and a form of gyaru/jk-speak (also combined with onee-speak for me) in japanese#and to me its part of being queer? (onee of course but ykwim. theyre very connected and i could go on forever abt this)#anyways the Vibes of the japanese gyaru/jk/onee speech transfer to my english#plus my horrible articulation issues bc of. idk mouth/tongue motor skills#so all that turns into my uhh strange english speech#which isnt visible in text lol#at least i dont think#the main thing i can think of rn is that i barely pronounce the 'g' in '-ing'#oh also exaggerated up+down tones. thats where the gyaru/jk is visible ahdhjfds#its to the point that my mom cant understand my english when im talking to friends lmaooo#am i making any sense.#- shadow
