Whumptober 2023 Day 11
Prompt: animal trap
Victim: Twilight
Words: 954
Notes: I couldn't not think of Twilight. Legend is an option, because bunny, but like... Twilight.
Hyrule had gone over the dangers of his era with them more than once. At this point, the younger heroes could recite his short speech by heart, and the older ones were more than familiar with all the details. However, Twilight noted with horror stilling his chest, he hadn't mentioned the traps.
Ordon had its fair share of hunters, but traps had long been outlawed, and any traps that had been left behind accidentally? No one was going to miss them if Twilight donated them to the local blacksmith to make horseshoes out of.
Maybe he secretly had a petty side, but no one needed to know that.
Regardless, Hyrule had either forgotten to tell them about the traps in the area they were camping in, or he didn't know. At the moment, Twilight didn't particularly care because his leg was all but snapped in two at this point.
The bad news was that it was his right hind leg, which meant that the injury would carry over and impede his mobility as a Hylian. He'd still be able to fight, but he'd need a splint at the very least.
The blood running down his leg was warm, and it matted his fur, the sharp scent filling the air. He wasn't very far from camp, but he was afraid that the smell of blood would attract monsters, and that was the last thing he wanted to deal with right now.
Unfortunately, didn't seem like he had a choice. A blue octorok slowly shuffled through the undergrowth, and Twilight froze, holding his breath and hoping that it didn't notice him only a few feet away. Just as he began to slowly release the air in his lungs, it turned in his direction and made direct eye contact with him.
He felt his stomach drop.
The octorok's gelatinous legs scurried, making it skitter jerkily forwards, like some kind of twisted combination of spider and octopus. Twilight tensed, wincing as the movement increased the pain in his leg, but pushing it down through adrenaline and pure fear.
It paused, moving its head from side to side a little bit before crouching and Twilight lunged to the side, the flying rock careening past his head with a whistle into the undergrowth.
The octorok, sensing that its prey was making an attempt at escape, began sluggishly pulling itself in his direction while he did his best to yank his leg free and avoid the projectiles aimed at his vulnerabilities.
He didn't want to injure his leg any further for fear of losing it, but he wasn't stupid. Any monster could kill a Hylian, no matter if they were a hero of courage or not. And a wolf only had a big of a chance of survival as a Hylian.
He was going to have to accept the risk of losing his leg permanently if he wanted to live.
With newly found determination, he made one last bid for freedom, finally getting the leverage he needed to scrape his leg out of the trap. It would haunt him for a long time afterwards, even if he was so distressed from bloodloss and pain that his mind refused to keep the memory of what precisely happened.
All he knew was that he was bracing himself for what would probably be the most pain he would ever be in, and then he was staring at fallen leaves coated with thick, congealed blood and chunks of octorok flesh.
The pain was… well, he would never have the right words to say how much it hurt, the only thing he could say was that he prayed during the entire time it took for him to weakly drag himself back to the camp because it hurt so much that only the patron goddess of his race could possibly help him now.
His awareness sort of… swam, like the way everything in his vision did. Nothing seemed real, except for the ever present scent of blood and flesh in his nose. He couldn't navigate, his senses almost completely washed away in the wake of his injury, but he could feel a small tug in his heart, pulling him towards a distant sense of safety.
He didn't know when he gave up, but he did know that he thought he was staring at leaves, then a Hylian face, and then… then there was a strange drowsiness pulling him to sleep. He probably should be worried, but… well… he didn't exactly care what happened at this point as long as he didn't wake up to that goddesses-forsake pain.
Blessedly, he didn't. The pain was still present, and goodness, it was present. But it wasn't the kind of pain that stripped him of everything. It was the sort of pain that reminded you that you were alive in a good way, not a wishing you were dead way.
He faded in and out of that odd variation of consciousness for a while before his senses began coming back to him. There were soft sounds, voices, birds, the breeze. His groggy mind couldn't make sense of anything, so he focused on the other things. There were the scents of Hylians, things that were probably medicines and chemicals, plants he couldn't remember the names of. Something firm was below him, and something soft was above him. He was a pleasant temperature, kept warm by the soft things and cool by the air.
His ear twitched involuntarily as a gentle hand ran over it, and he couldn't find it within himself to bother with staying awake. As long as the kids were behaving, he would take the opportunity to nap. Ordon only knew how much sleep he'd lost to the stinking gremlins.

YANDERE DANIEL PARK HEADCANONS
Well I've started getting into the Lookism Fandom as well and damn, it's addicting. Also I'm so sorry for disappearing for so long, my 12th grade exams are finally done and it's a huge relief which means I'll have more time on my hands now. Thank you all for your support despite my lousy forgetful behavior
Tumblr media
Daniel Park as a yandere would be obsessive, possessive and would also be a complete stalker and somewhat slightly manipulative too but not to an extent which would hurt you completely. You'd first befriend little Daniel and his obsession for you starts from there. When everyone else was busy picking on him and making fun of him and ruthlessly bullying him, you appeared like an angel sent from the heavens itself to save him, to protect him and accept him for who he was. He was so surprised when you got a job at the convenience store where he worked and was extremely thrilled to be working along side with you to spend more time with you
As time passes by, his obsession for you spiraled into a rabbit hole of madness. His love for you was getting out of control. Whatever body he might be in, you will always be the only person who will reside in his heart. You'll always have a special place in his heart. Daniel would not spare anyone who dared to make you feel upset or dared to pick on you or make you cry. The other day Logan Lee decided it would be a good idea to take his frustration out on you after Zoe ended up rejecting him for what seemed like the umpteenth time and Logan ended up pouring chocolate milk all over you and your body which leaked and dripped down your hair and uniform
Your eyes welled up with tears and before you were even about to react, Daniel punched Logan straight in the jaw and a few strikes and blows later he was blacked out and unconscious. He becomes ruthless whenever someone tries to harm you. He went back to his sweet and kind and caring more as he pulled you out of the cafeteria into the hallway and offered you his jacket and helped you wash off the chocolate milk from your hair, his heart stinging and breaking at your every sniffle. If there's something he absolutely cannot stand is seeing you, the love of his life cry. You're literally breaking his heart with your tears and he'll gently caress your cheek with his fingers and assure you that he's always here for you
When he makes a promise he sticks by it no matter what. So when he said he was going to be by your side at all costs, he meant it. Your innocent oblivious self won't know that Daniel is pretty much stalking the heck out of you now. It's just for safety purposes you know, the streets of South Korea aren't safe for a pretty little thing like you. You need someone like him to protect you and take care of you and he's more than happy to play your knight in shining armor. You had the dangerous habit of listening to music with both your airpods in your ears which made you completely oblivious to your surroundings. Your lack of awareness would have resulted in something drastic had it not been for your protector Daniel lurking from behind the shadows to protect you by beating those no good scumbags who dared to lay their filthy eyes on you
At times he's not above killing people either especially if they look at you in the wrong manner. Don't even get me started when he loses his consciousness and he blacks out and has eyes like Gun's. He goes completely feral and can and will destroy everything that stands against his way which proved to be a threat to you. He likes cherishing the little things you give him from pens to pencils to candies and such
Under NO circumstances whatsoever does he want you getting involved in fights or these crew wars that happen so frequently. It doesn't matter if you're a fighting prodigy but he will always ensure fighting is off the table for you. The last thing he wants is to see you get hurt and he'd rather burst a blood vessel than allow a single scratch on that pretty body of yours
Once you do manage to figure out he's stalking you or has an unhealthy obsession towards you there won't be any point in going to his friends either for help. Zack is the same case with Mira so it wouldn't really bother him, Jay is helping out his good friend Daniel by keeping an eye on you with his various resources and ensuring the idiots who made the mistake of making you upset are now blacklisted from every single company existing. Perks of being the Prince of the fashion department. Vasco and the Burn Knuckles would just see this as Daniel loving you so much that he's willing to do anything for you and they admire him even more if that was possible
Daniel would only resort to kidnapping you if you're on the verge of leaving the country or if you're going out with someone else. It's okay though it's not your fault. You're never in the wrong in his eyes. You'll wake up in his apartment and you'll obviously be confused and upset and he can understand that. He's filled the apartment with all your favorite books and your favorite things to make you feel more at ease and comfortable. Take as much time you need to settle down he won't mind. It's a big change for you after all
He loves and adores it when you compliment him, he's like melted putty in your hands. Just say the word and anything you want will be yours. Except for your freedom of course. You won't be able to escape from him, he'll find you but he won't punish you. He can't beat to hurt you but he'll make sad puppy dog pleading eyes and ask you why won't you love him despite what he's doing for you. Reason and logic is thrown out of the damn window with him. However if someone tries to forcibly snatch you away from him, they better be praying to whatever God they believe in and hope they're only stuck with a hospital bill instead of funeral service procedures. He'll get the locks changed and get a better security system for you, courtesy from Jay himself. You won't be leaving Daniel ever. You're his and he'll do anything and everything he can to ensure it stays that way...

I probably won't write anything for it, but I need to share this with the world and I felt you would appreciate it: Em Duo/Boreal Trio "Knight and Day (2010)" Au, (but platonic)
Techno is flying home for an event of Skeppy's, they were orphans in the same group home and Skeppy would kill him if he wasn't there for the event (in canon it's a wedding, but a graduation or something would do) when he gets bumped into by a blond man in the airport. Man kindly helps him up, brushes him off, tells him "it's my fault, mate," and disappears. Techno goes through security, seeing glimpses of the blond man as he goes. When he gets through the security, the man bumps into him again. They chat a bit and Techno finds it weirdly easy to talk to this guy. It's like they've known each other for years. Turns out they're headed to the same gate, but when Techno gets there he's told he's not on the flight. The blond man says something cryptic about things happening for a reason and is checked onto the plane. Techno goes to wait for the next flight and is surprised twenty minutes later to be told there was a mistake and there is room on the plane for him.
He gets on the (empty, like really really empty there's maybe five guys total and the crew on the) plane, seated kitty corner from the blond man from before, who looks a bit perturbed that he's there, but still friendly. They take off and Techno and the guy, Phil, have a nice chat as they fly towards Snowchester. About halfway through, Techno spills something on himself because of turbulence. He excuses himself from the conversation to go clean up and Phil says he'll walk around the cabin for a bit and follows him back to the bathroom. When Techno comes out of the bathroom, Phil is nervously holding two drinks and after handing one to Techno explains that the pilot and the co-pilot and the crew and all of the passengers have uh... well, uh... well they're dead. And uh, they're gonna be landing. Soon. Like really soon. See, the co-pilot shot the pilot after Phil shot the co-pilot, but everything's okay, Phil's a wonderful pilot himself, he'll get them down, and everything is completely under control.
Phil's actually a secret agent trying to stop a top secret project "Zephyr" created by a kid called Ranboo from falling into the wrong hands. He'd used Techno as a mule to get the "Zephyr" through security, and was supposed to be walking into a trap on that plane, which is why he'd tried to warn Techno to stay off it. But who's gonna turn down an earlier flight and a free upgrade, huh? So the agency who's trying to get the "Zephyr" put Techno back on the plane to see what would happen. So now Phil is responsible for keeping civilian Techno alive while Techno panics his way through multiple occasions of extreme danger where Phil has to get them out of there by the skin of their teeth, often by drugging or knocking Techno out for the greater good.
Thoughts?
-- @goat-boo-truther
I had never in my life heard of this movie but this sounds like a very amusing plot. And I'm definitely a fan of 'just a guy Techno' in any circumstance, so that'd be very funny here. If you do ever decide to write it, I would read this for sure hehe

Dungeon: The Seeping Tombs
The learned and pious council of the king's advisors concluded that if sickness was a sign of moral failing, that medicine was a form of ennoblement allowing the sinner to bypass suffering without repentance. By royal decree the healers were thrown in along with their patients, the gates sealed behind them.
Constructed during an age of ignorance, these now innocuous ruins were used as a prison for those who had committed no crime besides falling ill. Pestilence ravaged the land, and after years of failing or outright refusing to control its spread the old king and his pious inner circle began to resent the masses who suffered under under their misrule.
The building that became the tombs was already under construction, intended as the foundations for a great temple dedicated to the king's imperious patron deity. When the work crews grew sick their bodies were passed into the lowest reaches to prevent the spread of miasma, joined soon after by dead from the local villages, and eventually those afflicted but still living.
It was not long after the gates were sealed that something otherworldly come to dwell within the tomb, suborning the natural process of decay causing those interred within to rot into a sickening and malevolent sludge.
Adventure Hook: A new magical malady besets those descended form the king and his pious council, and though some have inherited their forebearers' zeal and callousness many others are quite innocent. When traditional cures fail, The party are hired to seek an answer, and whether through research or the consultation of oracles find themselves pointed towards the seeping tombs. Irony of ironies, this exact sickness was being looked into by talented physician condemned by the king's order, consigned along with her research to a squalid death among those she tried to save.
Whatever the source of the present malady, it has a sense of cruel justice that the party should be wary of.
Challenges & Complications:
Summoned by the prolonged fear, suffering, and affliction of those trapped within the tombs, Juiblex, demon sovereign of ooze, has consecrated the tombs as an altar to despair and wretchedness. The tunnels are overrun with its spawn, along with undead who's spirits cannot rest for all the cruelty that was done to them in life.
The longer and deeper the party explore, the more sick they're likely to get.
Early chambers of this dungeon are a great excuse to use the classic "what looks like a skeletal warrior approaching slowly down a corridor is actually a gelatinous cube & its last meal" encounter, which is a treat in and of itself.
The upper reaches of the tomb are controlled by a nest of ghoulish knights and footmen, who were originally tasked with driving droves of the sick into the dungeon, only to find themselves sealed inside along with the afflicted. As fearful and proud as their departed liege, they play at piety and honour willing to lend aid to the party for a chance to escape the tombs and run rampant on the surface.
The middle reaches of the tomb see the party exploring twisting, sticky corridors, their progress fenced in by portcullises and other defences that need to be opened remotely. These hurdles do not stop the level's guardian, a massive and inexorable ooze that will chase the party with relentless slowness once alerted. Expect an oddly paced chase scene as the party works on opening a path forward while trying not to get trapped in a room by the sludgy green tide.
The cure to the magical malady lays with it's source: the ghost of the masterful physician who's long simmering resentment has manifested as a curse. Having been denied the chance to save her patients, she must be convinced why she should allow her research to be used to save the realm's ungrateful rulers while the victims of their callousness go unmourned. Her counter-offer is as brutal as it is poetic: Let the sickness at the heart of the kingdom devour those who benefit from it, and let the future come as it may.

For @zelinkcommunity ‘s zelink week 2023 - forbidden
Tumblr media
Summary: Link joins Zelda’s class so that her students can learn first hand about the knights of Hyrule. Turns out they aren’t as prepared for the children’s questions as they thought...
Set between BotW and Totk.
No warnings apply, rating: General. Words: 3031. Big thanks @mistresslrigtar for editing this for me! Check out her zelink week pieces!
Rumors have wings
"Oh, but just look at him! He even has a red feather thing on his helmet!" Aster, one of the four children shifting on tiny benches in front of Hateno’s school, whispered behind her hand.
"That's a plume, Miss Zelda explained it last week, you doof—", another child, Karin, started to answer, but was interrupted by their teacher.
"Children! Please calm down," Zelda exclaimed, raising her hands to get her students' attention. The small smile the children managed to elicit from her whenever she saw them adorned her face. While the morning sun warmed her back, she observed them fondly and waited until they were ready to start the lesson. "As you've already noticed, we have a special guest today. Link is kind to attend our lesson so that you can learn firsthand about the knights of the kingdom that ruled over Hyrule 100 years ago."
"A new mission for our spy team, I'm sure, Sefaro!" Azu whispered to his bench neighbor. "My A-zoom senses are tingling!"
"Miss Zelda?" Aster raised her hand so high in the air that her behind nearly left the stool.
"Yes?"
"Is Link the reason that the lesson is outside today? You said weapons aren't allowed in school, and he has this"—she gestured toward the spear in Link's hand—"thing."
"You can't call everything 'thing'," Karin hissed out the corner of her mouth. "Miss Zelda will surely tell us the correct name if we wait."
Link cleared his throat and moved his weapon from his back to rest the tip on the ground in a motion done so often that it had become subconscious.
"This is a Royal Halberd,” he explained. “Only the most trusted knights who guarded Hyrule Castle's throne room were equipped with it. Its ornate design was applied by a craftsman in service to the royal family."
A lot of 'ohs' and 'ahs' came from the children's mouths, and Zelda giggled into her hand. She could not deny that Link was a sight to behold in his full armor, and these kids had never seen a knight before. It was a shame that Link wouldn’t wear it more often. He only bothered with the full armor when he accompanied Hoz’s Monster-Control-Crew and they had their eyes set on a particularly nasty bunch of enemies. He claimed it was for their morale and not for his protection, but she knew he had become gradually more responsible about his well-being with every year that had passed after he defeated Ganon.
"How do you know that about the knights?" Sefaro asked, his eyebrows drawn together in a skeptical frown. He was a spy; he wouldn't easily fall for this story. "I've seen weapons like this hanging from a Hinox's neck. So how would you know they were given to the knights who guarded the throne room?"
Link made eye contact with Zelda and winked. As always, it made her stomach flutter. Then, he turned back to the kids and leaned conspiratorially closer, all of his armor clanging together. "I was one of them. And Zelda's father, King Rhoam, gave it to me."
"No way!" Aster cried. "You're the weird guy who lives with Miss Zelda in the house behind the bridge! No way you're a knight! You can't even remember the Bolson dance! I bet you just bought the armor in the Ventest Clothing Boutique!"
At these terrible (but not untrue) accusations, all four children jumped from their places and started to inspect Link up close. They tugged at the gauntlets and pricked at the chainmail, all while Link hid his face in the little stand-up collar so that only his eyes twinkled under the helmet, and nobody but Zelda saw him chuckle.
After they had assured themselves that at least the armor was authentic, they strolled back to their seats.
“Alright, kids. Now let’s review what you already know about knights. Who wants to start?” Zelda asked and looked expectantly from one to the other until Azu raised his hand.
"They were responsible for guarding the royal family and the kingdom. I heard there was a horrible test to pass if you wanted to become one. Something about a monster fight that only half of the candidates survived." He paused. "That's why I'm a spy and not a knight."
"It was a Stalnox," Link explained quietly. "And the older knights jumped in to beat it back if it was obvious a candidate wasn't ready. But, of course, it was still dangerous. One of my fellow knights got his nose broken and lost his sense of smell."
Azu snapped his mouth shut, and Sefaro shifted uncomfortably on his bench. The story was a little too detailed to be fake. Right? Aster, now also hooked, raised her hand, and at Zelda's nod, she asked, "So just everyone who could beat that monster could become a knight?”
“Goddess, no!” Zelda laughed. “Only the best soldiers could become a knight. Not only combat skills were important, but character, too. Only those of a pure heart and extraordinary courage were offered the opportunity to reach knighthood."
Karin scrutinized Link. "You don't look very courageous."
Link choked on a laugh when Zelda said, "You'd be surprised," and he added, "Some prefer the term reckless instead of courage."
Zelda giggled and shot him a playful, warning look.
Karin's eyes went from one to the other. She crossed her arms and said, "Well, I heard that knights and princesses weren't allowed to court. So since you are courting Miss Zelda, this is clearly a fabrication to pull our legs. You can’t be a knight."
"What—what if—" Azu shot forward so quickly that he nearly fell from his bench. "What if it's a secret relationship? Se-sefaro! We've got a new case!"
"Some spy you are," Sefaro murmured, rolling his eyes in mock disinterest. "The rumor that Miss Zelda is courting him has been around forever. There's no secret about this. At all."
Link pointedly stared at the tree behind the children in the courtyard. If he took one glance at the grinning Zelda, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from breaking into a fit of laughter that would last several moments. After being the center of the rumor mill a hundred years prior, the gossipers here in Hateno were so refreshingly harmless that they never felt the need to clarify any shift in their relationship with anyone. Zelda preferred it that way and insisted her private life was hers and didn't concern anyone. Link couldn’t care less about what they said about them, but the whole topic had become a bit of a tender subject ever since Impa had the guts to ask Zelda about an heir to make sure the bloodline of the Goddess wouldn’t run dry.
Zelda clapped her hands. "Back to the topic, please! Any more questions for Link or me?"
Karin raised her hand again. "So, is it true that a knight wasn't allowed to be with a princess or prince?"
Zelda sighed. "This really interests you, hm? Alright. It's a bit more complicated than that. Link was not only a guard who watched over the castle, but he also became my appointed knight. That means he accompanied me everywhere and—"
"Sometimes she ran away from me, so not everywhere, but pretty much everywhere," Link whispered, the back of his hand directed toward Zelda as if only the children were supposed to hear him.
"Hey!" Zelda cried, boxing his armor (regretting it instantly), and laughing.
"It's true." Link winked at the kids.
"Well, who constantly stared at me judgingly without uttering a word?"
"That was my job!"
"I think they're married," Azu whispered toward Sefaro, who gravely nodded. Maybe he had been wrong, and there was, indeed a spy mission in disguise at hand here.
"And?" Karin pressed on.
"Uh, and? Ah, right, the rules. Yes, my father was very strict about us not being allowed to court. Link had to write reports and all that. I think they feared I would distract him from keeping me safe somehow."
"As if I would let anything happen to you," Link murmured, but nobody had heard him this time.
"Forbidden relationship, write that down," Azu hissed from the corner of his mouth. Sefaro chewed on his pencil, thinking, before he nodded firmly and jotted a few words down—definitely a new mission.
“I don’t know.” Karin crossed her arms. “Both can’t be true because if you were a knight, you wouldn’t be courting Miss Zelda.”
Slowly but surely Link was becoming overwhelmed by the situation, and tipped his head toward Zelda. She would know what to do; she always did. He didn’t mind the children knowing about their relationship status and hadn’t the point of coming here in full armor been so they learned about knighthood? That effort would be in vain if they didn't believe that his knowledge was firsthand. But then again, if the children knew… not soon after, the whole village would know, and then the whole Kingdom and the pressure was back on their shoulders.
Zelda paused and tapped her index finger on her chin — a gesture she had picked up from Purah during the countless hours they spent in the lab. The children regarded him with various stages of skepticism; Karin pouted with her arms still crossed, Azu frowned and licked his lips, and Aster outright made a dismissive hand gesture and rolled her eyes. Only Sefaro still scribbled in his notebook, but bullet points like ‘patrol’ and ‘scouting spot’ didn’t hint at his eagerness to follow the lesson's topic.
"Okay…" Zelda started. "We need to go a little farther back than I anticipated, but it's alright."
She put a hand on Link's pauldron. "You're correct and, at the same time, not. Link made several oaths and promised to follow the rules my father, King Rhoam, set. But you all know that the kingdom no longer exists, so the rules hold no value anymore."
A click of fingers, urgent.
"Yes, Azu?"
"Is that like the thing when you don't have to do what your parents say when you're all grown up?"
"I—" Zelda swallowed, and Link shot her a concerned gaze. These children didn't know that talking to their parents and not to a cold stone was a luxury. "Yes, a little bit."
"Oh."
Zelda glanced back at Link, sighing in resignation. Kids immediately knew if they weren't taken seriously, so there was no way around it.
"So… yes, Link and I are a couple. But…" She stepped closer and crouched at the benches, waving them to join her. The children gathered around her, eyes wide, knowing instinctively that they were about to hear something important.
"You know that I'm not only a teacher, but the princess of Hyrule, too, right?"
The children nodded eagerly, and Aster opened her mouth but got silenced by Karin's elbow in her side.
"As a princess, I have a lot of responsibilities, and a lot is expected of me... if everyone knew that Link and I are together, people would expect even more of us. And Link has given so much already for Hyrule…” She chuckled. “I want to give him the opportunity of being the weird guy I share the house with a little longer.”
“Heh!” Link laughed, crossed his arms over the handle of his halberd in mock offense, and tipped his chin up.
The children chuckled but turned back to Zelda the moment she spoke again. “Don’t worry about him; he’ll come around again,” she said. “What I wanted to ask you is… You’re a team of spies, right?”
“Not all of us,” muttered Sefaro, and Zelda winked at him. “Well, now you all are. My team of royal spies, how does that sound?”
“R-royal spies!?!” Azu nearly fell from his bench again. “Sefaro, this is the coolest day ever! We’re so having a new mission!”
"All of us?" Sefaro mumbled with a side glance at the girls.
"Yes, all of you. And the rest of the village kids, too," Zelda added, knowing very well how the kids who were too small for the lessons lurked around the school and pretended to be spies, too.
"We will be the best spies around, Miss Zelda, I promise!" Karin said with sparkling eyes before she leaned over to Aster, whispering, "What exactly is the job of a spy?"
"Why, spying, of course!" Aster answered. What a stupid question!
Zelda, satisfied with the children's reaction, took another look around. “Ok, so your most important task is…” she beckoned them even closer and whispered, “...that nobody finds out that Link and I are married, alright? This order is in effect as long as I don’t give another, contrary order, understood by everyone?”
“Yes, Miss Zelda, understood,” Sefaro hissed. “Your team of royal spies is at your service! As the head of the spy team, I assure you we will do everything in our power to ensure the success of this mission.”
“Who said you are the boss, stupid Sefaro?” Aster was not happy about this development and tried to kick Sefaro’s shin.
Link stared at the tree behind them so intently that he feared the leaves would turn red and fall to the ground. Countless years he had trained to school his face into a stoic mask, and had endured several situations that had put him to the test, but these kids were giving him trouble not to burst out laughing.
"Ok, I'll take that as your word that I can count on you all." Zelda smiled at their eager nods. Perfect. She had struck a chord in them. Maybe they could keep up the fog surrounding their relationship like the lost woods a little longer. They both weren't against the idea of their own children, far from it, but they had lost so many years to prepare for the return of Calamity Ganon that they both wanted to live a little first. There was so much to see in the world; just the other week, they had discovered a whole new species in Faron! They would continue to help rebuild where they could, and one day, they would make their relationship official. And yes, then they would talk about children, potential consequences for the monarchy, and whatnot but not a moment sooner.
Well, that was if the village children managed to keep their little secret…
“Link actually has another set of armor we want to show you,” Zelda said. “It’s the set of a royal guard. I’ll help him change, and you can take a break here in the school yard so that you’re well-rested when we’re back.”
The children cheered and ran off — who didn’t love an unscheduled break?
Inside, Zelda fumbled with the strap of the helmet under Link’s chin while he chased her cheek to give her a kiss. “Hey!” She laughed. “Stop messing with me, or I’ll never get you out of this thing. You’re lucky I don’t mind doing a squire’s job!”
“Oh, messing with you, is it now? I remember when we got married, you were much more—” Link stopped, frowning at the voices that came through the window.
“...tell everyone who says they’re courting that they’re plutonic friends!”
“You mean platinous.”
“Yeah, pla-pla— what you said! Just friends.” They could practically hear the quotation marks that Aster made with her fingers. The children must have gathered directly under the window sill. One of the kids started to toss a ball against the wall, the tap-tap-tap allowing Zelda an undiscovered giggle about their little confusion.
“But that’s boring. Nobody is going to believe that,” Sefaro’s voice now rang through the open window. “We’re going to tell everyone she kicked him out of his house, and they’re loose acquaintances at best.”
“What?” Karin’s voice was high-pitched — she must have even gotten on her tiptoes to be more intimidating. “Miss Zelda would never! She’s the nicest person in Hyrule! She saved his life 100 years ago; she would never kick him out of his house!”
“But that’s the point,” Azu argued. “We want to distract from the rumor of them being together. But maybe you’re right, and it’s too crazy. What about he's just her swordsman running around Hyrule and doing errands for her? You know, because she's his superior or whatever it was called 100 years ago.”
On the other side of the window, Zelda helped Link pull the royal guard uniform over his head so he didn't need to bother with the buttons. "Hmm… taking advantage of your duty to me," she whispered into his ear when his face was free again and chuckled. "That's a new one."
Link snorted and pulled her closer, softly biting her earlobe. Raising his mouth a few inches higher, he whispered, "You dramatically overestimate the motivational factor of duty, my love. I wouldn't have made it off the Great Plateau without your sweet voice beckoning me like a siren."
Zelda blushed at the implications of that, but any risque answer was cut off by the ruckus the kids made outside. She quickly placed the spiffy cap on his head and winked at him.
The children surpassed each other with propositions now.
"There has been an evil Oracle!"
"An attack of cuckoos!"
“She got captured by the bad Sheikah, the… Yoga!”
“Stop! How should that help to distract? You’re all so mean, I don’t know if I want to play spy anymore,” Karin pouted.
“Hm, ok, nothing evil anymore. What about if someone spots Link walking around the house in his undies again, we'll tell everyone that’s a new order of Princess Zelda to… to… keep the spirits up!”
Everyone giggled at that idea, and their laughter coaxed Link to grin.
“Oh, hush!” Zelda cried quietly, not without suppressing a smile herself, and adjusted the red cord of his armor. “This was a bad idea. They’re going to spread so much nonsense about us!”
“Oh, no, this was one of the best ideas you ever had,” Link whispered back and kissed her, well hidden from the eyes of the village, from Impa, and the rest of Hyrule, thanks to the newly-established royal spy team taking their duty very seriously.

Hey, I wanted to show y'all my Swap au ^^ Uuuhh list of what and how characters were swapped under cut(incomplete list)(warning: long af)
Kirby: Swapped with Dedede. The king of Dreamland, brave and noble! At least, that what he wants you to think. In truth he's gluttonous and kind of childish, and a bit of a coward. But he has a good heart, willing to step up whenever Popstar is in danger! If he manages to avoid getting possessed first . . . At least his friends will be there to snap him out of it! He's scared of spiders.
Dedede: Swapped with Kirby. The brave and darling hero of Dreamland, Dedede would much rather play and eat than he would fight. But when push comes to shove and evil threatens his home, you can count on him to be there! Always willing to make a new friend, he'll happily welcome any newcomers, even if they aren't what they seem at first.
Bandee: Swapped with Meta. commonly known as Brave Knight, he and his crew are well known and much wondered about among residents of Popstar. More laid back than one might expect a knight to be, he's none the less formidable in battle. He and Kirby are old friends and trusted partners, despite rifts in the past.
Meta: Swapped with Bandee. Kirby's second-in-command and Dedede's best friend, Meta's often anxious or insecure about his abilities, and will turn to his friends for support. But under the fear, he's skilled with a sword and has a noble heart, and people have surmised that he has the makings of a great knight. He has an extraordinary sweet tooth he likes to indulge in, with a particular fondness for chocolate.
Ribbon: Swapped with Queen Ripple. The selfless queen of Ripplestar, she didn't hesitate to send away the crystal shard with her younger sister when Dark Matter attacked. Even after her possession by Nebula2, she remained as kindhearted and fair as ever. After the king of Dreamland helped liberate Ripplestar from Dark Matter, the two struck up a close friendship.
Ripple: Swapped with Ribbon. The younger sister of the queen of Ripplestar, she went on a quest with the hero of Dreamland after her planet was attacked by Dark Matter. After Ripplestar was freed, Ripple became close friends with Dedede and Drawcia. Though rather clumsy and a little anxious, she's full of energy and possesses an brave spirit equal to that of her sister.
Drawcia: Swapped with Adeleine. A painting brought to life by a mysterious artist, only to flee her creator and come to Dreamland, where she started to create art of her own. After joining a quest to liberate Ripplestar from Dark Matter, she discovered friendship to be a joy like nothing she'd ever imagined. Nowadays she splits her time between Popstar and Ripplestar, painting the many views.
Adeleine: Swapped with Drawcia: An artist derided and mocked by her peers, she left her home planet to wander the galaxy. In her travels, she found a wonderous paintbrush capable of bringing her work to life. Remembering the scorn with which her art was treated, her heart darkened, and she vowed to show the galaxy the beauty of her work - by transforming the world into a one of paint. After her attempt was foiled, she disappeared, but the work she created with that mystical brush remains.
Sectonia: Swapped with Taranza. The queen of a land in the sky, she gave her love a gift, a mirror rumored to grant wishes, unaware of it's true nature. Tricked into believing her subjects planned to rebel, she descended to the lower world with the plan to take it's hero as protection. however, she mistakingly took the king instead of the hero, and Dedede immediately followed in pursuit. Her love was defeated and his lies unraveled, and ever since she's been trying to do better as a ruler.
Taranza: Swapped with Sectonia. A mage unsure of his abilities, his beloved queen gifted him a mirror rumored to grant wishes with the idea it might increase his power. And so it did, but it also warped his mind and body, and his love became controlling and possessive. He tricked his queen into the believe her subjects planned to rebel, in hope she would turn to him for protection. Instead, against his wishes, she descended to the lower world to take it's hero for her guard. Eventually he was defeated, and the truth of what he'd become revealed much to the grief of the queen who'd loved him to the end. Never the less, it is hoped he is happier now.

Darkwing Duck F.O.W.L. Play by Amanda Deibert
Tumblr media
10/5
This post is for fan entertainment, I’m not being paid.
As it obvious, I am huge Batman fan, he is my favorite hero and is the best hero in my opinion.
Granted when I was kid, I didn’t connect the dots that Darkwing Duck was a parody of Batman until I was much older. I always liked Darkwing, and when I could, I would try to catch his cartoon.
But now that I am older and stepping back and looking at Darkwing from a distance I loved this hero almost as much as Batman. For Darkwing his rouge gallery is just like Batman is enormous, and you can draw parallels to Batman.
Also, Darkwing has some amazing sidekicks like Gosalyn Mallard and Launchpad McQuack
OK on to the comic!
Behold on the roof tops stands a lone figure, the silent knight of St. Canard, he is the lone lego block that is under the bare foot of villainy, there stands…. Darkwing Duck (*cue thunderclap*).
In the first chapter of this comic, Darkwing is being honor by the city of St. Carnard for all his heroic deeds, but the celebration is stop by Darkwing Duck most electric criminal MegaVolt.
Megavolt is using his power over electricity to control the people who are in attendance, with their cellphones.
So, Darkwing and the crew has to use their heads to stop Megavolt and not really do any damage to the mindless citizen.
The next chapter Drake Mallard takes Gosalyn to the newly open toyshop, after her help with Megavolt, Dark thinks it’s time for Gosalyn to do some normal kid stuff. After shopping around a bit Drake and company comes across the Darkwing Duck toys. But they come alive and well as the rest of the toys, who would crazy enough to make evil toys?? The evil toy master Quackerjack has come out to play.
These next two chapters are like part 1 and part two that it centers around one villain, and we are introduces the lovely mistress of spells Morgana. Drake explains to her that he wants to hang up the cape, Gosalyn needs a stable normal life, and Drake wants Morgana to join him.
(*INSANE FANGIRL SQUEALING)
I kid you not I thought these two were perfect together when I was watching the cartoon growing up. When Drake said that I couldn’t even think of words on how happy I was.
With some objections from her family, Morgana join Drake and Gosalyn in St. Carnard.
Drake is having trouble adjusting to his new life as a working stiff, he misses being Darkwing. He has a very bad presentation at Gosalyn school where Morgana has to go and pick him up.
But throughout the chapter, vines have started to take over places in St. Carnard, with the vines now taking over Gosalyn’s school. Morgana and Drake team up to be the pruning shears of justice, and now it’s them against the floral menace Bushroot.
Ok I wanted to say this, has there ever been an issue of Batman where Bats goes to a day spa, that is not linked to a case. For health and pampering.
This next villain wasn’t one of my favorites growing up.
DW and Lanchpad are at the spa to get some pampering done, since having three super criminals and a small spat with your girlfriend’s family in a close time frame. A superhero needs to think about their health.
When relaxing in the pool, DW notices a familiar statue of the liquidity villain Liquidator.
Now I did enjoy this chapter, but Liquidator wasn’t really one of my favorite villains like Bushroot or Quackerjack. If I remember the episode, he was a salesperson before he turned into the Liquidator.
However, I did like this chapter because it wasn’t just DW and LP having issues with a villain.
Gosalyn and Honker in support of their favorite principal who what being let go, they stage a walkout in support of the old principal. But this new principal plays dirty, he installs candy machines in the school and Gosalyn and the other kids are quick to support the new principal.
However, these candies are mind controlling candies and the kids are quickly ready to pummel Darkwing with dodgeballs. Only one person is able to organize this kind of hostile takeover, the evil organization F.O.W.L.
The last chapter is one heck of a fight between Darkwing and his team and the villains and Negaduck. I like the setting where the big fight takes place, at a carnival.
Darkwing duck is a hero that is near and dear to me. I am so excited that he got a resurgence and all the comics that are coming out. I have some high hopes that we get more stuff for the cape crusader.

i genuinely love when you can tell an older show was Not made with high quality video viewing in mind. i am watching knight rider and constantly seeing all the little mistakes they surely brushed under the rug thinking nobody would see them on their crunchy little CRTs back in the 80s, that are huge attention grabbers now in HD fullscreen on my 3 foot computer monitor
the biggest one of course is all the drivers/controllers for the (in-universe) self driving car, kitt. there's guys tucked down in the footwells who can't always stay out of the shot. there's a guy who has a Car Seat Suit to blend in and look like the drivers seat from a distance, but you can always tell when that's the method they're using for a particular shot because its so much thicker than the passenger seat next to it and the headrest is missing it's cutout section. in at least one instance he starts taking the suit off too early, on a focus shot of the damn car, so its REAL visible.
all the extremely obvious stunt drivers or performers who look nothing like the character they're supposed to be
props, such as animals, vanishing from the car interior for stunt/race sequences.
the production crew (or their shadows) being visible in the background. only at a glance, but its especially hilarious in shots where nobody else is supposed to be around
the camera panning out from a sound stage set far enough that you can actually see over the edges of the set and into the stage they were filming in. mostly this happens with their truck trailer mobile unit thing.
this one isn't a mistake but every time the car "turbo jumps" they CLEARLY hide the ramp behind another car, a prop, the environment, and its just. so charming. sometimes its blatantly on screen just for a moment. like... of Course in real life this car isn't magically leaping 20 feet, of course its a ramp, but it's still so silly and fun to be reminded of how they were doing those stunts to begin with.
also not really a mistake but related, the bracket they keep on the front of the car for stunt work.... is just left on half the time. cuz it's a pain to take on and off.
and there are more examples that are more unique that haven't cemented themselves in my head well yet, but these are the more notable or common things i see and it's really charming. if i'm not giggling to myself noticing the "seams" and flaws and so human imperfections of your show or movie what EVEN is the point. hollywood is too flashy these days i think!

Felt silly so I decided to write up some lore/info for Billy :)
Space Riders AU (made by @onyxonline)
SillyBilly (Formerly; The Laughing Priest) - Average critter height - He/Any
(I haven't had time to draw my boy so have some temporary gacha versions)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In order:
Off duty uniform
On duty uniform
Underwater uniform
Casual outfit
Sleepwear
Gala events
Have I thought of their powers yet? Nah
will i eventually come up with something perfect and make it cannon permanently? Probably
SillyBilly's history below (its long)
For the longest time, as far back as they can remember, Billy was under the Prototype's control. He was a high bishop in his ranks, always successful on his outings to conquer and convert and spread the word of his god and the promised 'Joyous Heaven', spreading the 'Joy' and red smoke across many planets. He did this all because, at some point, he had grown reliant on the smoke and lost his sense of self; what he knew before of his life was gone, just a subservient pawn for the Prototype. His reign as the 'Laughing Priest' lasted years, with many outside of the cult referring to him as the 'Devil Priest' due to his horns and mannerisms when confronted; his twisted humor and malicious intentions for any Space Rider that drew near were normal for them; however, there was something odd about him: he would never kill.
Unfortunately, it was never meant to last, as one day a Space Riders unit managed to apprehend him and take him back into custody. He was devastated that he lost, stripped of his mask and the red smoke he so desperately needed and locked up for his crimes and for his own safety, as it was clear to everyone around them at that time that they were not of sound mind. He was given help, against his will at first, constantly preaching on about the Prototype and suffering through the withdrawals of the red smoke, but eventually breaking free of the cult mindset, though ultimately being left with nothing, no memories, no past, just his name and his charm—something from his past that reminded him far too much of his time spent under the Prototype's control.
Over the course of a few years, he grew to know himself better, showing improvement and growth, to the point where he openly expressed his desire to help others stuck in the situation he was in, actively wanting to redeem himself for his actions and to right the wrongs in his life. Doing his best despite the prejudice or fear he might face, especially from those who know of his past. He works harder than most and puts in effort above and beyond what is required for every task he does, even if he doesn't take breaks on top of that. He manages to always wear a smile while doing work and to keep a goofy and considerate personality about him, no matter the situation. He is an asset to any crew he joins, keeping the mood high and the tension low. Once the Prototype's pawn, he is now a loyal knight to the Space Riders.

Though that's not to say there aren't any lasting effects of his past, when going out on missions, he always has to wear his mask no matter what, as any consumption (inhalation, etc.) would not end well. Despite what many may think, his humor is a way to cope with them, naturally incorporating it into his personality without a second thought. He also suffers from insomnia due to nightmares of his past, which leads him to be an avid coffee drinker, not letting on to anyone about his situation or how he's doing; only a very select few know of his conditions, especially those of the medical staff that worked on his case, and he likes to keep it that way.
(Also additionally, SillyBilly from the past in his Laughing Priest fit for those who read this far <3)

Ooooohh my Dio, okay while listening to that mashup "Invincible Riot" song, and working on two drawings of PixieKars... I think I found the plot for Sapphire Heartverse 3.
Idea under the cut:
So I was imagining, since my weapon of choice is a spear, I was somehow an honorary pillarman, swiftly fighting with a spear. Doing tricks, flips, faster than lighting strikes with my weapon as if it was part of my body. A look of pure determination to defeat my opponent on my face.... but... how did we get here? Who is my opponent? Why am I part of the pillarmen crew?
So.... you know in Sugar Crash Void Bash, when my son RamĂłn stopped Divine Puppet! Bel from continuing to fast forward time? And their abiities clashed thus making a second ripple in the universe?
Well... that brought the pillarmen back.
No, I mean....
It brought all of them back. The entire superior humanoid life form species that previously lived underground is back. Yes, Kars, Esidisi, Wamuu, and Santana are back too! However, everyone's memory is very faded. Esi and his and Kars's sons have faded memories, but Kars was affected heavily.
For some reason, maybe it's the repressed trauma of being isolated in space and now he's suddenly back on earth, maybe it's the fact he can barely remember anything at all... and he doesn't even recognize his own family. He hardly knows who he is.
Esi tells Wamuu and Santana that it's probably for the best they just try to help Kars relax and try not to stress him out. They have to explain things to him and try to help him remember things, especially them.
Meanwhile, all is going well in the Muscadine-Ice house.
Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhh somethin happens here uuuuhhhhaaaANYWAY-
Evil stand user somehow gets the power to nullify everyone's stand. Everyone loses the ability to call upon their stands and the entire world is under the control of this asshole stand user.
Everything is all messed up blah blah blaaaaah something happens here uuuuuhhhhh-
Somehow Tippy loses zeir memory too and ze's found by Wamuu. Tippy is unconscious, and since Wamuu is the more merciful of the three, he's worried whether or not he should do anything about this random human gentleman.
Wamuu lightly kicks him, he knows the human is still alive but doesn't know what to do... especially with everything going on (pillarmen tournament to determine who is worthy of... something idk, maybe an evil pillarman oc or something happens- we-we'll see.... you know I'm not even sure what these dudes are genuinely called. They just call them "The Pillarmen". They probably have an actual name for their species and they call themselves something. One sec, let me look it up)
(Okay so it looks like they're just called "The Tribe of Darkness" which is so fucking cool. I think the threequel might have something to do with that.... maybe I might just call it "Sapphire Heartverse 3: The Tribe of Darkness"- also I just realized I said "evil pillarman oc" as if like- these dudes were not evil to begin with- well.... it is the sapphire heartverse, fuckin Dio is a good guy now and made up with Jonathan. So anyway sorry, let's continue)
Wamuu takes Tippy to the underground stone palace where his family is staying. Kars is still frazzled and having trouble coping, still breaking down every now and then and not really knowing why. For comfort, Kars has been reading some fairytale novels about elves, pixies, merfolk, and other mystical beings. Esi keeps trying to console his husband, and suddenly Wamuu is carrying an unconscious human.
Esi: aaaand your son has an unconscious human in his arms.
Wamuu explains that he doesn't mean any harm and the little human is lost, hurt, dehydrated, etc
Esi tells Wamuu to toss the human outside because he might upset Kars with his presence.
Kars realizes something.... in one of the fantasy novels he was reading, a pixie of blue hair blessed the knights with his power. Kars explains that maybe they could train the pixie or something uuuh... insert some more stuff here-
Tippy wakes up not knowing who or where he is or who these freaking superbeings are. He doesn't even remember having a stand or a family or anything. All he knows is the basics about being human, and a little bit of the English and Spanish language.
They communicate with him and realize that he doesn't remember anything or where he came from.
Long story short, Tippy is called Pixie by the pillarmen, and they train him. Since he's very lean and lacks any muscle mass, of course they overpower and hurt him during sparring and training at first.
Over time, he gets a little more toned while still remaining lean and limber. They try a bunch of different weapons, but Pixie is very skilled with a spear due to muscle memory from Sapphire Heart. He doesn't know why... but a spear is like his best friend. He even carves a place to put a heart shaped sapphire in the middle of the top.
He ends up being able to spar on an even level with Wamuu and Santana. Not only is he skilled with that spear of his, but he's very cunning and quick on his feet. Being limber, light, and flexible like a snake helps when it comes to making large men fall to their knees. Pixie uses his sharp wit and spear to his advantage.
That night, they give him a circlet that will give him his very own "horns". He wears it with pride.
Kars realizes that he might have feelings for Pixie (in my headcanon, the tribe of darkness are all polyamorous)... but he's a filthy human.
Meanwhile, Vanilla and Bel are devastated that Tippy was taken (or something, I haven't decided yet), and the world is under attack and everyone's stands are gone. Emmanuel flies over and stays for a while so they can try to solve the mystery of Tippy's disappearance... and try to defeat the evil stand user
Some stuff happens heeeeerrreee-
HEAVY SPOILERS!!! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anyway, Vanilla, Bel, RamĂłn, and Emmanuel definitely find Tippy.... but he's not Tippy anymore. He's Pixie and he's ruthless. Kars is extremely angry that these humans are trespassing and claiming that Pixie is theirs. Esidisi realizes that.... they might be telling the truth.
Kars puts his hand up to his husband's face, then smirks,
"We'll have a battle. If you win, you get to keep Pixie and leave quietly... but that won't happen, because you will be dead before you even get that opportunity."
The four have to defeat each pillarman. Including Pixie.
So some classic Jojo shenanigans happen, and the Muscadine-Ice family has to find a way to outsmart these people without using their stands.
Vanilla has to fight Esidisi
RamĂłn has to fight Wamuu
Emmanuel has to fight Santana
Bel has to fight Kars
Meanwhile Pixie/Tippy is watching.
Once the pillarmen have been outsmarted somehow and defeated by being pushed out of the ring one way or another,
Kars smirks,
"It's not over with yet. You still have one more of us you need to defeat."
Pixie leaps down and points his spear at all four of the family members.
"Which one does he fight?" Vanilla asks, "Me?"
Kars cackles,
"No, you ignorant human... he's going to kill all of you at once."
So the battle commences!! Pixie is extremely fast and ends up injuring each one of his family members. He leaps off of them and uses tactics he did with the pillarmen to make them trip over one another or fall over themselves. Emmanuel comments on how fast he is, but he and Vanilla could probably hold him down.
Bel scoffs and angrily points at the pillarmen,
"UM, if he couldn't be held down by those four brutes, do you really think any of us could?!"
They all try to get his memory back by saying things he should remember, but hardly anything works.
Vanilla does end up kissing Pixie, which causes him to freeze up and remember everything... flashbacks to their first kiss, how they met in the mansion, bickering occasionally, their wedding, when they found RamĂłn, how they raised him from baby to now, how they found out parallel universes exist, meeting Emmanuel, Divine Puppet! Beleza Muscadine, falling in love with Bel after he was released, and the life he lived after that......... Tears well up in his eyes as he kisses Vanilla back,
"What am I doing here?" Tippy says that, not because he forgot again or anything, but questioning what he's doing in the first place, "I want to go home."
Kars is enraged. He fell in love with Pixie, he was ashamed to be in love with a human but this little human meant so much to him. Now other humans are taking him away. His fists are clenched as he stands up, but Wamuu touches his father's shoulder,
"He... found his way home, Lord Kars... and a deal is a deal... they defeated him."
Kars doesn't want to believe it... but it's true. These little humans have used technicalities and loopholes to defeat each and every one of them, and since Pixie isn't "Pixie" anymore... therefore he is defeated... Kars grits his teeth and hates seeing somebody he had a connection with get taken away.
Vanilla and Bel kiss him on both cheeks, and RamĂłn hugs all three of them... that's when Kars's face softens a little bit... he looks over at his sons, then at his own husband, who's sniffling and crying a little bit while looking at the human family.
Kars has no other choice or say in the matter, he has to accept losing Pixie.
As they say their strange goodbyes, Emmanuel asks something that interests the pillarmen...
They need help defeating an evil human who stole people's powers. Bel is like, "Dude why are you asking?" and Emi goes, "Hey, it's worth a shot. The more the merrier, yeah?"
Kars and Esi converse for a while... soon they both end up agreeing to put an end to the evil human who's tormenting the world.
So pretty much, the pillarmen and the Muscadine-Ice family join forces to take on the evil stand user and get the other stand user's their powers back!
Later on Kars asks Tippy if ze remembers being together with him, Tippy says that ze does... Kars tries to touch Tippy's hand, but ze hesitantly takes it away. (the pillarmen also learn that Tippy and Bel have secondary pronouns, and their only reaction is, "oh okay cool, I guess that makes it easier than just saying 'he he he' all the time haha.")
Bel keeps giggling and talking about how attractive the pillarmen are, and jokes to Esi, "Do you work out?" and Esi laughs and jokes back, "No, I was born like this."
stuff happens heeeereee aaaaaaauuuugghh
Kars and Tippy can be together on one condition: Bel and Vanilla are also his boyfriends. Kars reluctantly agreed and the rest is history. so uh... it's BelNillaKarTip! or uh....TipVanKarBel! or... somethin like that... please for the love of the stone of Aja no more people in the polycule hrrrrghh- (BelTipVans is still the main main though)
Anyway, somehow the evil stand user is defeated by the pillarmen and the humans!
Some things are subject to change, some things may be edited, added, taken out, etc but yeah, this is the basics of what I have down for the threequel!

MCD Scifi AU Game Quests! (Part 1)
Given how my scifi au is partially based on video games such as Mass Effect and Starbound (my beloved), I feel that it is only right to add quests and side quests. A way for me to write out the plot in a fun ways. (PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR OPINIONS AND IF YOU LIKE I'LL MAKE MORE!)
Main Quest - Molded to Perfection
The S.S. Phoenix Drop are now transporting top researchers of THE RED (otherwise known as the Shadow Knight infection) to what is believed to be its origin planet. Or, they thought they were escorting living researchers when in reality they are escorting the robot drones of Kenmur and Emmalyn, who are piloting them a galaxy away.
They have to protect these million of drones as they navigate the thick red mushroom jungle of planet NETH-35, also known as the Nether planet. This quest will feature the group killing mass amounts of Shadow Knights (The pitch black and blood red zombies) and mold chimeras (the hobbled together pieces of organisms) with few rests in ruins where it will reveal the history of the planet and the start of the infection. It will end with a boss fight of a SHADOW LORD aka a mega chimera. Classic alien boss battle.
Optional Side Quest - May Sparks Fly
After this quest, Kenmur and Emmalyn become semi permanent on the ship and their bots are now possible companions when needing to research. That being said, the crew finds out that they are rather smitten with each other and try to set up a virtual date between the two. it will also provide an exploration of Laurance's past as he and Kenmur grew up together.
Main Quest - Bionic Where Arth Thou
This is an overarching story plot that gets picked up throughout the story. Essentially, the S.S. Phoenix Drop is going to have constant back an forth between Zane and Garroth where Zane sends men to apprehend Garroth and is thus defeated. This will range from traps set by Zane under the pretense of delivery missions, false distress signals, and Zane's personal favorite, kidnapping random crew members.
In retaliation, the S.S. Pohenix Drop will also have plenty of missions involving breaking into various labs associatted with Shield Foundation (it will probably be renamed ngl) to halt Zanes plans of creating Shadow Husks (Zombie-Cyborg Mutants) and various acts of sabotage. This will have plenty of boss battles ranging from battles against Super Cyborg Husks, entire spaceships, members of Zanes special task force The Jury, and even Zane himself in super bionic suits and amped up holograms.
Mandatory Side Quest - Painful Jury Duty
The group receives a plea message coming from Jeffory the Golden Heart, a title he received due to his species golden blood. He requests the aid of Katelyn as his daughter has been kidnapped and he cannot help due to being under Zanes control. The team exports a rescue mission as we find out what its like to be under Zanes thumb from Katelyn. Who was literally mind controlled by Zane via cybernetic chips.
The team does manage to rescue Abby, only to find out that the entire thing is a trap laid by Zane and the Abby that they saved is actually a robot copy. Only to find out that Abby is safely somewhere else but Zane had broken down Jeffory and manipulated him into beliving his daughter is in danger and the only way to ensure her safety is to kill the S.S. Phoenix Drop crew and capture Garroth. Boss music plays and Katelyn manages to get through to Jeffory but its too late as the cybernetic corruption has destroyed his body and she has to mercy kill him through his golden heart. Well, mostly kill as he is revived and put into stasis.
Side Quest - The Golden Rules
After breaking a Zane lab and sifting through information, Zoey finds a way to heal Jeffory and reunite him with his daughter. The crew has to break into one of Zanes cloning labs and steal even more files and then restore one of his old labs (that they cleared out earlier) and use the available technology to heal Jeffory. He will be permanently missing his left arm and eye and no longer be able to have cybernetic implants due to the high increased chance of rejection, but he will be reunited with his daughter, Abby who thanks her Aunt Katelyn.
I needed to balance it out y'all.

backstory update
Tumblr media
hello! after looking through some of randal's cards and considering some thoughts on his relationship with his past, i decided to make a few tweaks to his backstory.
what was formally:
at some point amid his rapid lose-some-win-more streak, he fell into a midlife crisis at twenty-something years old. his life took a slower turn as he tried to figure out what exactly it was he wanted from it his life didn’t get any easier as four decades into his life, he discovered the outrealms there, he met the rest of the cipher cast, and was quickly swept up in their realm hopping, time traveling adventures. for the first time in his life, he was able to find something - or rather, someones - that he cared about.
has become:
some time after winning his mansion, in his mid-to-late-twenties, randal got pulled away from his life of fame and fortune by the boundless chaos. suddenly finding himself privy to chance and the impossibilities of the outrealms, randal began to take a very devil-may-care outlook on life. after all, if things can be taken away at the drop of a pin, what joy is there to be found in 'having'? instead of living his life as a lord in pursuit of wealth and power as he had beforehand, he took up his sword as a mercenary and became a vagabond with no one and nothing. it wasn't until his late 30s/early 40s that he ran into the cipher crew.
this doesn't affect any threads or relationships with other characters as his backstory hasn't been brought up in great detail yet, but its something that has been on my mind since bringing him back, so i figure i should update it!
so as to not make this post any longer than it already is, i'll be putting my reasoning under the cut! feel free to read if you wanna see me overanalyze randal's card lines LMAO
randal has a pretty violent jump in his cards from when he's Young Randal (gonna write it as YR for short, and just 'randal' for his older self) to his present self.
YR is a person that is obsessed with controlling people. His card descriptions are dripping with your typical controlling, power-hungry dialogue and descriptions, and even showcase grand armies that Randal commands in the back:
Tumblr media
Including lines/skill names like:
"You guys are pretty useful pawns." "Victory is all that matters." "Thank you for being so easy to trick."
He's a person who cares about controlling others and arguably only controlling others. He loves wealth and being on top of things, and he loves using other people.
Another interesting thing to note is that YR is not a person who enjoys chance. While our lovely older Randal is clearly a person who likes gambling and games, YR seems a person who is far more interested in tactically winning a game to get what he wants. If we look at one of his cards, we see that he didn't even win his mansion through a typical dice or card match, but a Chess match! A game of skill moreso than the roll of a die!
Tumblr media
Well, well… Looks like I win, huh? C'mon, beat it. This mansion belongs to me now.
There is little fun to be had in these cards. This sort of "what matters is what I want, and nothing else" attitude is something that seems exclusive to YR rather than older Randal. He is far more concerned about his appearances, in the sense that he wants to appear dominating and powerful to others so as to control them. He is not one to play around.
And yet! In cards where he seems only a little older, Randal's attitude and status changes dramatically. While there are many examples to point out, and copious amounts of 'having fun' being mentioned, these two sum it up nicely:
Recently, a mercenary named Rand appears on the battlefield. Rumor has it that he can quickly collaborate with any companion, sometimes drawing out twice as much power. Who the hell is he? All I know is that he is a ``user of twin swords.''
and,
"Always take play seriously, work always have fun"…that is the motto of Rand, a delinquent knight who has no master. For him, the battlefield is like a playground. Move around provocatively and confuse your opponents, or use unexpected behavior to toy with them!
No longer of fame and status, Randal is unknown even by those who he works with. He pops in and out as a mercenary, and while his skill remains, he is now a person who loves play. While he still enjoys toying with others, he no longer seems to hold his 'use as pawns' attitude that he held beforehand. Instead, he 'toys' with them, finding enjoyment in the process rather than the result.
This sort of attitude seems one better suited to have been acquired over time as a result of realizing that he cannot hold onto what he does have post-losing his mansion and status. While originally I thought it to be apt to lose this via a morality crisis or via a game, I don't think Randal's morals are that strong lmao and I do not think he would risk losing his mansion via a game.
Another thing to note is that YR actually appears in Cipher Frontier himself. While it's hard to differentiate what is 'canon' and what is not 'canon' here given the silly nature of the comics, it's still something to keep in mind as 'this was Randal's first experience with world-hopping'.
Tumblr media
I realize these thoughts were a bit disorganized, but I hope that the contrast is explained well and why I think the change was necessary! I really enjoy thinking about the 'past' vs 'present' versions of Randal, so I hope my thoughts got across. yayyyyyyy

7 with est 👀👀👀
7- hoarse/voiceless
this is absolutely au for est, because there are quite a few major beats in waves & wind that wouldn't really land right after all the au-ing i did four or five years ago. however. i wanted to put est on a boat <3 rough ch 5.3 for spoiler purposes
It’s a little funny, you think, that you’ve never really sailed. Not properly, not like this, not on the open sea where there’s no horizon in any direction and the water is even more unchanging than the open fields of Rohan. The Long Lake is wide and so is Nenuial, but they have nothing on these endless waters- and Sirgon and Daxamat both laugh when they tell you you’ve not yet left the Bay of Belfalas.
You know the storm is coming even belowdecks. It’s no sense so arcane as some of your crew seem to think- only long years spent studying the rising and release of thunder. You warn the others, and hope you don’t frighten Caebar too badly, and go up to the deck.
Dark clouds gather in the distance, visible from miles away with nothing at all to hide them- or to break them. You clamber up into the tangle of low-hanging rigging in the forecastle where Daxamat scowls at the oncoming storm.
“I swear the storms did not used to be so frequent or so angry in the Bay,” he says, and you grip the nearest lines for balance as the Wave-hunter tilts down a steep swell. The waves are already growing rougher.
“Is there no avoiding this one?” you ask, though you have no hope the answer will be yes. Daxamat gives you a disbelieving look.
“Not unless your fancy rocks can split the storm before us,” he says and you smile with half your mouth.
“You overestimate me,” you say, and he sighs.
“I was afraid that was the case.”
You study the angry stormfront. “...is there anything we can do to prepare for it?” You know the storm, but not the sea.
“Tie down anything that can be tied,” Daxamat says with a grim laugh. “Stay out of the way of actual sailors. And… make sure your knights are out of their armor. They wouldn’t want to go overboard like that.” You glance at him sharply.
“You think that’s so serious a risk?” Dax only shrugs, half leaping and half falling from the rail to the pitching deck.
“The way my last voyage ended? It seems better to be cautious in these waters these days.”
You wish, an hour later, that you could indeed control storms as Daxamat said, but you only ever borrow their power for a moment. There is power enough in this one to tear the ship apart.
No one is abovedecks who does not need to be- especially those of you who aren’t sailors. Sirgon listens to the groaning of the Wave-hunter and frowns over the nervous muttering of the rest of your crew, packed into the largest cabin and summarily instructed to stay there until the storm passed.
“We are far too near the Shield Isles for my liking to cross a storm this fierce,” Sirgon says to you under his breath. “We are on the side of the Grinding Jaws, and they were not named lightly.”
The Wave-hunter pitches to the side and even Sirgon staggers. Daxamat has already gone up to the deck to help, taking Sigileth and Legolas with him. You wonder how long it will be before you and the sons of Elrond will be asked to follow. You flex your hands, cold from the damp and the biting winds, and tighten the bindings on your rune-bag and Elenagil in her sheath.
The Wave-hunter shudders under your feet. Sirgon draws a sharp breath. There are cries from above. You're only halfway to the narrow stairs up when the deck goes out from underneath you and wood splinters with a sound only a little softer than thunder.
The water is cold and dark and churns so badly you couldn’t say if it was stone or ship or scattered crew that slams into you from all directions. You’re not a stranger to the water, but you've not seen anything quite like this before.
Well. You’re hardly seeing anything right now, either.
Lightning illuminates the water, brief but bright enough to find the surface. You reach for it, clawing your way skyward while thunder rumbles the water around you like a drum.
Something heavy strikes you across the back. Something cracks; you can’t tell if it’s you or the unseen thing. You lose your air, and you breathe in seawater, and you grab fruitlessly for something solid and choke on the wrathful bay until the waters take you away.
---
It’s dawn when you wake, pink in the sky and gold in the sand and black and brown and brilliant green in the cliffs above you. Your legs are still in the water, brushed by waves that seem gentle in apology for the storm before. You push yourself up, and your back screams as if struck anew, and you fall flat in the sand with a groan.
What became of the rest of the Wave-hunter? you ask silently of the sand beneath your cheek. It doesn’t reply, and you spit some of it from your mouth and drag yourself inch by inch beyond the reach of the water. You lost a shoe somewhere- only the one, though. Your throat hurts. Slowly, you gather yourself, and hope that walking will seem like less of a trial once you are standing.
A shadow falls over you. Someone speaks, and it sounds like Black Speech, and in sudden panic you throw yourself to your feet, already reaching for where your rune-bag should be.
Somehow, it’s still there, though it’s full of water and some of its contents must have escaped. You draw out a stone, but instead of words of power you only get out a harsh fit of coughing as your throat protests absolutely everything it can think of. When you can breathe again you throw the stone aside and draw Elenagil instead, falteringly taking the stance Faeron had tried so hard to teach you.
It is a group of goblins and orcs who scramble away from you, weapons raised and eyes hard, but they don’t fall on you immediately, even when you wobble and fall back to one knee. One of them elbows another and they argue in almost-whispers among themselves. Your head aches less badly than the rest of you and you think you can follow most of it. Some words are Westron and some are the Black Speech and some are another tongue altogether. Umbari, perhaps? You don’t know much of it yet. You catch wait and recognize and Gundabad, and after that trust and safe and can’t let her-. You try to speak, and cough some more, and, eventually, lower Elenagil.
“Who are you?” you ask, hoarsely, in Black Speech like you only really practiced properly with Viznak in the swamps. You’re not sure which of them is more surprised to hear it.

Hello, could you tell us about Kalymnos and the history of weaving in Greece?
Hi! They are both broad topics, however I will do my best to summarize the most important and interesting information about them.
KALYMNOS
KĂĄlymnos is an island which belongs in the Dodecanese, the southeasternmost islands of Greece. It is 26th in the list of the 50 largest Greek islands. It is the third most populous island of the Dodecanese.
Tumblr media
Kalymnos was first inhabited by Carians and Phoenicians. By 1100 BC the island was inhabited by Dorian Greeks. Kalymnos participated in the Trojan War and Homer mentions it with the name Kalydnae. In the late Archaic period, Kalymnos was a democracy. For a time, it was captured by the Persians. When liberated again, Kalymnos remained an ally of Athens, however it did not meddle much with the Peloponnesian war. Like all the other regions of Greece, it fell under Roman rule and was a part of the Byzantine Empire in the middle ages. In the 13th and 14th centuries it came under the control of Venice and the Order of Knights of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem (Ιωαννίτες Ιππότες - Ioannites Ippotes in Greek) AKA the crusaders, just like most of the Dodecanese islands. The knights expanded and reinforced the original Byzantine fortress of the island which was there since the 10th century.
Tumblr media
The ruins of the castle above the main town (Chora) of the island.
The Ottoman Turks attacked the island for about 80 years until they conquered it in 1522. Kalymnos was relatively privileged in the Ottoman Empire - islands were always more privileged compared to mainland Greek regions. In 1881, the Ottoman General Census found that the island had an overwhelming Greek majority (9,482 Greeks out of 9,716 overall population). In 1912, Italy conquered the island during the Italo-Turkish war and kept it until 1947, when, in the form of reparations after the Axis Occupation, Italy ceded the Dodecanese islands to Greece. The Dodecanese were the last region to get united with the Modern Greek state.
Kalymnos has a diverse, arid landscape. It is hilly and very rugged, while its coastline is very indented, forming numerous cliffs, caves and coves. This is why Kalymnos is an internationally popular rock climbing destination with more than 3,000 climbing routes. Kalymnos also has a small archipelagos of its own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kalymnos' economy is not based on agriculture, but rather tourism, traditional head scarf painting production and, most notably, sponge diving, which is the best known tradition of the island. Greece is the biggest exporter of natural sponges in the world, largely thanks to Kalymnian spongedivers and the island's seabed. Traditional sponge diving is extremely dangerous and potentially fatal and involves wearing a very heavy suit and holding your breath underwater for extended periods of time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media

A folk song sang by Kalymnian sailors and divers has become popular around the world after French singer Dalida made a cover of it with romantic lyrics in 1970. The actual song however was sung by the ship's crew and it was meant to rouse a reaction from the spongediver so that if he struggled underwater, he would have the will to fight and manage to come to the water's surface. For example, the song makes references to the little joys of life, food, a comfortable sleep in a warm bed, sex, making a family, it mentions women (who could be real islanders the spongedivers were interested in), it mentions taking the City back (AKA Constantinople!), it mentions turning against the privileged lords of the island, it "threatens" the spongediver with unfairness ("you lads, I will give violets to you all, I will give two to each, but hey I am giving none to Yoryis (the spongediver)!"), it criticizes the spongediver's unresponsiveness (not pulling the rope) and implies his sister is with the crew, so anything that could potentially make a young man's blood flow and rouse a reaction from him and help him rise to the surface. I link the song below, performed by an actual crew from the island.
youtube
After the 60s a lot of Kalymnians emigrated to the USA and Australia, where they were usually employed in hard jobs, like constructing and painting bridges, used as they were in the demanding job of their island.

WEAVING IN GREECE
Weaving is a big, broad topic, especially because it was a well attested practice in Greece even in the Homeric Age. Therefore, and because the post is already long, I found some links that are very helpful and detailed and way more informative than whatever I would write here!
In this link here, there is a pdf about Byzantine weaving and textiles.

About the Game
SNK’s beloved Fatal Fury series first hit the market in 1991, spearheading the fighting game boom of the 1990s that swept the industry thereafter. Garou: Mark of the Wolves (released in 1999) has, for some time, served as the franchise’s most recent installment. But that is all about to change: 26 years on, a brand-new entry—Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves—is set to arrive on the scene!
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves features a unique art style that stimulates the senses, an innovative REV system that supercharges the excitement, plus a host of other battle systems even more robust than before. The game also breathes new life into the series by introducing two distinct control schemes (ensuring fun and excitement for newcomers and veterans alike) as well as other fresh features and elements.
The streets of South Town are a hotbed of action, wild dreams, and even wilder ambition. Here, at long last, a new legend is about to unfold…
New Characters
Vox Reaper (voiced by Erik Ransom in English, Toshiyuki Toyonaga in Japanese) – This street assassin is dispatched to hunt down and eliminate Kain R. Heinlein. Though the attempt was thwarted, he emerges from the encounter hardly worse for wear. Kain’s bodyguard Grant, having realized the youth’s talent and potential, decides to take him under his wing thereafter. Afforded a new lease on life, and intent on fulfilling his dying master’s wishes (not to mention Kain’s own grandiose ambitions), Vox stalks the bloody battleground that is South Town—a demon reborn.
B. Jenet (voiced by Amber Lee Connors in English, Mikako Komatsu in Japanese) – Captain of the Lilien Knights, a crew of virtuous pirates, B. Jenet makes an altogether uncharacteristic decision. With Kain and Grant weighing on her mind during and after the events of the previous tournament, she chooses to stay in South Town, if not for a short while. Strangely unable to express her lingering thoughts out loud, she sees the upcoming KOF tournament as a true blessing in disguise: a chance to speak through action instead of words!
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will launch in early 2025 for unannounced platforms.
