The OP was calling out celebrities, but this ^ is still the root of the problem. Men, and by extension, women who want to continue to appeal to men by not "ruining" their body through pregnancy, are using and exploiting another woman's body.
It's the mentality that you can buy a woman's body, any part of her body, that is abhorrent. To use another woman as an incubator for your child, to make her take massive health risks that you are unwilling to undergo, is selfish. It requires a type of dehumanization that uniquely happens to women.
Blissx4 saying this has been happening since the beginning of time is not the argument winning line she thinks it is. We know historically women have been exploited for their ability to carry and give birth to babies. It's the very foundation of our oppression.
There is no way for a surrogate to fully "consent" to being used for her womb. As much as any person pays for another woman to create their baby, they will never see her as a full-fledged human. She is only her uterus and their fetus to them, a means to an end. Consent can not be bought, consent can not be coerced, and this includes emotional coercion (so-called "altruistic surrogacy" done by friends or family members).
A woman who needs money, and is selling her body to be used as a baby making machine for couples who can't or don't want to get pregnant, is not consenting, she is trying to survive. If the financial incentive were not there, she wouldn't be doing it. Frequently, the amount these women are being paid is a joke, and despite that, you still have couples trying to penny pinch on helping the women who are carrying their baby. This is barely touching on couples who exploit foreign women and pay them next to nothing to be their surrogate.
Being a surrogate, going through pregnancy, is not a benign process. Even if womens bodies have the ability to become pregnant, the toll it takes on the body is massive. No woman should be forced (financially or emotionally) to carry a pregnancy she does not want for herself. A surrogate does not want to be pregnant. She is being paid to be pregnant for someone else. Her body is being rented out, at a complete detriment to her body. There is nothing fine about that. A society that sees no problem with someone buying and renting a woman's womb speaks to how deeply dehumanized women are and how normalized it is. That is incredibly concerning.
celebs will really say with no irony "pregnancy terrifies me and I didn't want it to change my body, so we hired this lady to get pregnant for us" like omfg
