“I think I left my anklet in here, but I don’t remember.” You spoke in a confused tone, searching the empty lab up and down for your jewelry.
“Let’s think, where was the last place you remember having it?” Neteyam asked, searching under the papers on the cluttered desk.
“I remember talking with norm, over here.” You walked to norms desk slowly, tapping your fingers on the cold surface.
“And then I sat over here.” You pointed, walking to the other side of the room, sitting on the table, swinging your legs on top of the surface.
“Then I crossed my legs, I think. I leaned down to touch this paper and…” you spoke, mimicking your movements as you remembered them. You lifted up the paper, and there it was. Your anklet laid on the desk, untouched.
“Ahhh, i found it!” You squealed in happiness, placing it back on your ankle. Neteyam smiled, walking over to you.
“I guess you didn’t need me then.” He chuckled, playing with your anklet. You smiled, looking to the left of you briefly. “Hey, what is this?” You asked with your brows furrowed, picking the contraption up slowly.
“Ah! That’s my fathers camera. See, look!” Neteyam gently took the camera out of your hand, flipping through the film. A family portrait popped up. “Oh wow! You guys look so happy.”You smiled, looking up at him briefly before looking back at the camera.
“Let me take your picture.” He smiled, holding the camera up to take your picture. You made a silly face before the camera flicked. He laughed, turning the camera to show you the picture.
“You like it?” Neteyam asked, scanning your demeanor for approval. You nodded, smiling up at him. “It’s perfect, my love.” You chuckled, snatching the camera out of his hand.
“Your turn!” You giggled, hopping off of the table, holding the camera up to take a picture. You pressed a button, but no flash happened. “Neteyam, I think it’s broken.” You said in confusion, inspecting the camera closely.
“Ummm, y/n. The red light is flashing. You’re recording, baby.” He chuckled, crossing his arms. You both look at eachother before bursting into laughter.
“Reporting live from the lab! We have….NETEYAM SULLY!” You mocked, holding the camera in his direction.
“Thank you, y/n! Follow me through the lab so I can show you guys these…new EXPERIMENTS!” He said in a deeper voice, walking around the lab with his hand up to simulate a microphone.
“Oh wait, neteyam!” You shouted as you noticed his loincloth strings tangled together. You went to pull them a-loose from eachother and the entire loincloth slid off of his hips, revealing his cock. He immediately covered up to hide from the camera. You hunched over in laughter, camera shaking from your amusement. He laughed as well, hiding behind the desk.
“AHHH, the camera looooves you, neteyam!” You smiled sarcastically, chasing him around the lab with the camera.
“Y/n! Quit it!” He laughed, running away from you, until he fell face first on the ground. You crumbled to the ground in laughter, still recording his every move. He stood slowly, dusting his hands off, chuckling at you.
“You think this is sooooo funny don’t you?” He asked, eyes narrowing as he titled his head with a slight smirk. As you rolled around on the floor, too distracted to notice that he ripped the camera out of your hand.
“What the hell are you doing, FREAK!” You giggled as he straddled you, ripping your loincloth off with ease. “NETEYAM!” You gasped, immediately turning around under him to hide yourself.
“Ah! How do you think I feel, skxawng!” He chuckled, still filming you. You looked back at him, hissing loudly.
“Ok! I’m sorry, now get off!” You chuckled, wiggling under him, creating the right amount of friction, causing his cock to slowly acend, hitting his stomach.
“Ohhh, i don’t knoooow y/n! The camera loooveeesss you.” He said sarcastically, mocking you from earlier. He bit his lip, slapping your ass hard.
“Ouch! Let me up now, it’s not funny anymore.” You chuckled nervously, trying to get from under him, more than ever now.
“I’m sorry, baby. You just look soooo good in the camera, I can’t take my eyes off of you. You’re like my own personal movie star.” He muttered, still looking at you through the camera. He slowly stood up, standing over your half naked body as you turned around, looking up to him.
“Neteyam, this is so silly, let’s g-“ you tried to stand but he held his hand out, signaling for you to stop.
“Woah woah, stay right there. Say hi to the camera, baby.” He spoke softly, bringing a hand to his throbbing cock, stroking it slowly. You smiled sarcastically, crossing your arms. “Neteyam, I’m not shooting a porno with you.” You sighed, lifting a brow at him.
“Oh come on! Wouldn’t you like to be the star of my movie?” He pouted, shifting his eyes towards you as he walked closer. You were still sitting on the ground, so when he finally made his way over to you, all you were met with was his hard cock. You pursed your lips, glaring up at him.
“Come on, pleeeaasssseee!?” He begged, caressing the back of your head. You looked at the camera that Neteyam held over his face, as he watched you through the lense. You sighed loudly, tilting your head at him as a way of saying “I’m doing this for you”. You grabbed his cock, stroking it a few times before kissing the tip, making sure to glance at the camera every now and then.
“Mmm, such a natural.” He hummed, still massaging the back of your head. You rolled your eyes, kitty licking his tip before sucking it, making him let out a breathily moan behind the camera.
“Yes! Just like that. I wish you could see how pretty you look.” He spoke breathlessly as you plunged his entire length in your mouth, making sure to maintain eye contact with the camera. You pulled off of him, making a popping sound as spit trailed down your jaw.
“Don’t worry, we’ll play it back.” You smirked, stroking his cock slowly as you took his sack into your mouth, sucking on it gently.
“o-ohhhh wow, this i-is -ngh!- new!” He moaned, watching you lick his entire shaft from bottom to top. You got to the tip, letting your spit cascade down it before plunging him deep down your throat.
“Shiiit, baby! You’re so fucking good at this.” He moaned through a clenched jaw, watching you as his face balled up in pleasure. Your hands slid up to his waist, using it as leverage to rock him back and forth into your throat. You looked up at the camera, gagging on him as you shook your head side to side.
“Keep doing that, and I’m going to fill this pretty little mouth up.” He growled, gripping your hair into a ponytail, guiding your head right where he needed it to be. He bit his lip as he felt your throat contract around his length.
“Fuck! I’m almost there, baby! “ he moaned, looking at you through the camera again. You looked up him, gagging once more, sending him over the edge. His mouth flew opened as he shot his cum deep inside of your throat.
“Such a good girl. Keep it right there, don’t fucking move.” He grunted, emptying himself down your throat. He finally started pulling out of your mouth as you sucked him dry the whole way.
“Mmmm so good!” You hummed, swallowing his cum as you smiled up at the camera weakly. He smirked, getting down to his knees, still with the camera in hand. “Turn around, pretty girl.” He bit his lip, watching you assume his favorite position.
“You know me so well, don’t you?” He asked, smacking your ass. You giggled deliriously pushing your backside to his pelvis. “I want it. Neteyam!” You whined, grabbing his cock to line it up with your dripping cunt, sliding down on it slowly. “Ohhh shit! So fucking big!” You moaned, throwing your ass back onto him.
“Yesss, baby! Keep doing that. Can’t wait for you to see how hot you look from this angle!” He moaned, focusing the camera on the source of pleasure. You reached around searching for his hand, and he grabbed yours, holding it tightly.
“You feel sooooo good, neteyam!” You whined, voice staggering with every thrust of his hips.
“I know baby. You love this fat cock, don’t you?” He growled, tugging your hand as he waited for a response.
“Y-Yes!” You whimpered, eyes rolling back slightly. “Tell the camera how much you love it! How much you love me!” He spoke lowly, snaking the camera down to your tear-filled, puffy face.
“I-i love t- mmm!- this fat cock so much!” You moaned, mouth slowly agape as you panted, heart rate increasing the closer your orgasm got.
“Anddd?” He asked, tilting his head as he rutted into you fast and deep. “I love you, Neteyam!” You screamed, feeling that familiar knot in your lower abdomen.
“Ngh! Don’t stop, please! I-I’m soooo close!” You whimpered, tears welling in your eyes as your legs started to tingle.
“I’m not going to stop, baby don’t worry! Cum for me!” He nodded, watching your legs tremble underneath him.
“Cumming!!!” You screamed, convulsing under him as you squirted all over his lower abdomen, some of your juices hitting the camera.
“Fuck! I’m right behind you baby.” Neteyam moaned as his thrusts became sloppier. On instant, he came inside of you, painting your walls.
“Mmmm, so good baby! Such a good girl for me.” He muttered, letting your hand go to caress your back. He thrusted into you softly, riding out his high before pulling out slowly.
“Ohhhh, look at this masterpiece.” He spoke softly, holding the camera to your filled cunt, as it leaked excess cum.
“Say bye to everyone, y/n.” He chuckled, snaking the camera around to your inebriated face. You smiled weakly before speaking:
“Bye everyone…”
Ok, second story of the week basically. What are we thinking? I really like this one, it’s hell funny and then it gets reallyyyyyy smutty at the end 😈 just how I like it. As always, I love yall to death and I’ll talk to y’all soon!

Miguel had many girls.
None gave a shit when it came down to it. They talked a good game over text messages and phone calls, tried their best to please him sexually, and snuck into their bed. They might even have lunch or dinner with him. Very rarely this.
He was doing his notes that Monday afternoon, scribbling away when his phone lit up. He flicked a look, realizing it was your photo that popped up. Not the many cum stained photos he had in his phone in your own folder. Those were not safe for any of his bosses to see, but one of those sweet photos that Peter’s taken.
Miguel isn’t stupid. He knows a love-sick puppy when he sees one. One look at Peter’s socials reveals many things: volunteering with a high school club to teach photography, stupid little flowers that he finds gorgeous, a number of subjects for his fine arts degrees, and on Sunday-- you. Sitting on a chunky rock in a beautiful dress in a stream, the sun bouncing off your strawberry-dusted cheeks. He has to do something about Peter.
“¿Qué pasó, Princesa? I’m finishing my notes.”
“I have something for you,” you answered. “Come outside.”
“For me?” Miguel tucks his phone between his ear and shoulder, closing his manilla folder that held a time-sensitive report. Miguel grabbed his keys and wallet, heading for the door. Everyone else was gone for the day, but Miguel did his homework in the lab.
“Sí,” you laughed. “¿Quién más?”
“Tch,”
At least those Spanish lessons are paying off. Miguel rushes down the three flights of stairs in record time and pops out the back door. You pushed past the archways into the beautiful gardens that usually obscure pedestrians from staring at scientists as they quickly woof down their food and bolt back inside to deal with whatever piteous work they had. Miguel slips on his dark sunglasses, turning his arms one over another. You have time to stop and appreciate nature, more than he could say about even himself.
“Princesa,” he hangs up the phone and takes a few steps to the tables where you were, twirling around the scent of fragrant orange blossoms. He bites back an amused smile, his voice picking up in a humored lilt. “What are you doing?”
“Dancing!” you hopped on one stone table, then the other.
“Don’t fall,” Miguel snatches you short of falling off the third table, setting your ass down with a mindful pull of your dark burgundy skirt over your thighs. “Why did you call?”
You supply him with a wicker picnic basket that was hooked over your elbow, pulling open the flap. The warm smell of meat and corn greeted his nose, finally shaking loose the smile that he had suppressed since you first called him.
“I brought you dinner.”
He blinks.
“Me?”
“You said you had to study for your test,” you looked up at the red brick building, “It’s better if you don’t get distracted by going out for food.”
He doesn’t have the heart to tell you that he usually brings his own food, regimented as he is. Miguel sets his hands on your hips and watches as you pull free whatever it was you made him. You set aside the basket and offer him the glass container and a bag of tamales, enveloped in their warm little husks.
“Menudo. And these are tamales con carne. My familia makes them every year. I brought them just for you.”
“You didn’t have to,” he murmured.
“But I wanted to.” You reached for the envelope collar of his lab coat, smoothing it down against his chest. “Besides, every one of my primas do it for their men. I can’t keep just bringing food home for Peter.”
It’s not that serious, he wants to say. There’s something soft about the way you recount it to him. He can’t stand to go against what you’re saying and instead sets the food back in its home, tucking your hair behind your ear. He traces the shell to your lobes, flicking his finger against the dripping earrings.
“Come upstairs.”
“No,” you answer quickly, leaning up to place a meager little kiss on his cheek. “You should be studying and if I go up there…”
He’d definitely get in trouble bringing his fuck buddy up to his office. Still, it might be worth it.
“I won’t get anything done,” he finishes. “Give me a real goodbye kiss.”
“You didn’t like that kiss?”
“It was a sad kiss.”

Peter was an essential part of your life.
He was closer than a friend if such things spaces between friendship and relationships existed. You supposed that in the absence of romantic relationships, friendships were the next best thing. Who else, but family, would support you? You nibbled on a hunk of toast with sweetened cream cheese and frozen berries ala Peter, whose head draped over your thigh. Your fingers combed through his thin brown hair, twirling bits around your index finger as he lay with a full belly and fuller thoughts.
“Sooo, how did it go?” Peter asked, staring at fluffy clouds that whirled by that perfectly cozy afternoon. “Did my super awesome plan go perfectly?”
You’re too shy to talk about it.
“Aw it did, didn’t it? I knew it!” Peter reached up, tickling his fingers through the ribbons of a pearl headband you wore that day. “Is he good? I hear all kinds of stuff about him.”
“Peter,” blood rushed to your face. “We haven’t…”
“Haven’t what?” he asked. “Ohhh. Oh. You haven’t fucked him? I thought…”
“We did-- just not that,” you patted his warm pink cardigan, flapping your hand down. “We haven’t you know--”
“Had sex?”
Peter could be too much sometimes. Today was one of those aggravating days. You settled down your hunk of toast, bobbing your head in a nod, eager to explain without making the words. “Just… oral. I couldn’t Peter, I’m not ready yet.”
“I know,” Peter’s tone goes soft. “But he can’t be happy about that.”
“What do you mean?”
“Every time Miguel has a new girl, he makes sure to fuck them as soon as possible. Keeps ‘em connected, or something, or that’s what Dana says.”
“Who’s Dana?” you chirped after him. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“You… looked so sad seeing him with someone else. I couldn’t… break your heart like that."
“You couldn’t tell me, but you could kiss me?”
“It was a nice kiss. Isn’t it about time for him to stomp past here?”
You wonder what Peter might mean by that. He slid his eyes shut, humming with one long leg thrown over the other. About time for his afternoon nap until you shook him awake because of your sore arms or back-- whichever came first. He slides his eyes shut, going to sleep under the feeling of your fingers twirling through his hair.
“You’re impossible, Peter.”
Peter was always right. You spotted your muscular man walking past the hedges, in a clean white shirt that obscured nothing about his muscles. You thought he would do what he usually did: wave, move on, talk to whatever whore of the day was on his arm.
He was walking with a girl who was tall and lithe. She made no moves to cling onto him as he slipped down the slight grassy slope where you sat with Peter, reviewing the intricacies of corrugated pottery before class. Your heart soared in your chest as he crouched down, a hand on his knee, scanning Peter’s face.
“I thought we talked about this.”
You didn’t expect those to be the first words out his lips, but lo, they were. He regarded Peter the same way he might an annoying animal with their favourite human, with blatant distaste and a passing hint of jealousy. You didn’t understand why.
“About…”
“Other men.”
“Peter isn’t another man. He’s non-negotiable.”
Miguel’s thick eyebrows pushed together as he processed the blatant line in the sand that you drew. You weren’t about to give up your dear friend, picnic dates at lunch, or photography shoots on the weekend for a man you sucked off. No matter how good he tasted and how thick his muscles were, crouched with those wild chocolate eyes.
“I’ll stay away from other men-- but not him. You take it or leave it.”
Miguel worked his jaw, clearly debating on the value of fighting you then and there. Miguel didn’t negotiate. It was never in his nature.
“Miggy,” called the woman on the sidewalk. She wore a dark bob, a streak of purple spiraling along her head. She has a terribly squeaky tone, one that is full of ire from having to say anything at all. “The samples.”
“This isn’t over, Princesa.”
He relented. Not because he wanted to, but because time was undoubtedly limited. You were pretty sure it was.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0f353a70ec425e6a0092d55c82c5bcc5/7883895379a50920-b3/s540x810/e720c91409dd972c83c0855533e9c41e24b5ff60.jpg)
Miguel is breaking another rule. Not only does he glaze over Peter in your life, but he brings you to his apartment for tutoring. He’d deal with Peter after he secured you. You were proving one of the most difficult of his women to keep.
Come over, it'll be private, he claimed in a text message. It’s absolutely not to peel away your soft pale pink panties nestled up against your cunt, drag them down your hips, and onto the floor. He’ll keep those.
It’s not because the desk in the study room would do nothing to obscure his sinewy frame, shoving your legs apart and dragging you to the very edge of the seat.
“Take your vocabulary quiz.” You nibbled on your pencil as Miguel buried his head between your thighs, biting down on your thick thighs to encourage you to spread your legs wider. You breathed out an elongated hiss at another bite to your opposing thigh.
“Pero, Miguel-- how…” you murmured, making the mistake of looking between your legs. Miguel met your gaze, possessed with the smell of your body. You greet him with a choked-out groan of his name the second his mouth connected with your pussy. He knew you would taste sweet.
“It’s very simple. You start writing,” The quiz should be easy. A simple finish the sentences with the right word and vocabulary word box to boot. It was terribly easy-- if not for Miguel’s tongue suckling the juices that dripped from your core, you might have already finished it. It was hard-- too hard-- to focus on anything but Miguel’s warm tongue prodding your cunt, his fingers sliding within your hole. Miguel urges his finger around the rim. “Preferably something in Spanish.”
His tongue slid from your entrance to your clitoral hood. Another finger joins the first, twisting and pulling apart your impossibly tight hole. He just knew you would feel amazing. He suckled along your lips, suckling them wet as you struggled to read and make any sense of what was on the page. It wasn’t going to happen.
“Miguel, Miguel--” Your voice drew out, it had been so long since you had a partner. “Dame más.”
“There you go,” Miguel hummed, closing his mouth around your puffy clit in worship for the admittance. The pencil tumbled free from your fingers. Without thinking, your hand buried into Miguel’s silky dark brown hair, rolling your hips onto his face to pursue an orgasm. He suckled it fat and needy, his fingers curving in your body. With a soft sob, the pleasure caused you to gush messily all over his fingers. Your fingers knotted up in his hair, riding his face until you’re left with nothing but the cozy haze of your pleasure.
You don’t know how you’re going to pass this stupid language requirement now.
Miguel kisses you, soft and sweet, gentle and light. You taste yourself on his tongue and worry about the way you taste. Miguel doesn’t seem to have a single complaint. He grabs your hands, helping you to stand upright, even though your legs were as stable as a newborn giraffe’s. With your body against Miguel’s, you could feel the outline of his cock nice and hard, tenting his sweatpants.
“Should we take this to bed?”
“I…” you asked, shyly so. “I’m not ready for that. Is that… okay?”
Coño. It’s not the answer he hoped for, but Miguel can be patient. He dips his head down and resigns himself to a night of jerking himself off. He had been looking forward to today, fucking his new girl. He steeled himself from any reaction that may inch across his face and offered you his hand.
“Claro que sí, princesa,” Miguel finds himself saying. It’s not that you can’t retract the consent, but he knows that you have some shyness to do so. He rather honesty over concern for his ego. The session had at least been an hour-- with Miguel’s focus fading at the sight of your cute little pink dress. “We can stop here. You can take the test as homework. Have it done by next time.”
“But… you’re hard.”
“It’s not the first time I’ve jerked off,” Miguel shrugs off the thought. It wasn’t how he imagined today going, but it wasn’t-- Miguel dropped his gaze down to his waistband. Your fingers tingle over the white ties, pull them loose.
“I want to take care of you,” you shoved his sweats onto the floor, pooling around his slender feet. Miguel’s cock bobbed in the cool air, impossibly hard. You walked him back from his desk to his bed. He falls back on it, his big dick kissing his muscular stomach. “Lay back.”
He found himself eagerly complying. You snatched the lube he keeps on his desk, likely knowing that he kept it there for just this reason. Miguel likes to think that his sexual needs are usually met-- but sometimes, they aren’t. You shoved his legs apart and climbed onto the bed, gliding your hands up the inside of his thighs. A warmth filled his lower belly as you popped open the plastic bottle and drizzled it over his cock. The cool liquid made him flinch.
“It’s not that cold,” you asked, a tease on your lips.
“You find it funny? Let me pour some on you, then,” Miguel remarked, his gaze following your fingers. You gripped him, soothing your palms over the top of his cock and back down, milking him like with your soft hands. You spend particular time smoothing over his root, tracing his veins up to the tip. Your thumb massaged his slit, smoothing a soft bead of fluid that gathered there.
“Do you like it?” you asked.
“It’s nice.”
He hummed and lolled his head back onto his pillow. You met him where he was, your lips against his, exchanging a soft and wet kiss. A groan escaped his chest, clearly appreciating your affection. You want him to love it, need it, and crave it at the end of the day. Maybe you could not do all the things the other women could, but there was something about the way you looked and touched him that he knew he could not easily replicate.
“Miggy. How do I make it better?” You asked, more of a whine than anything.
"Better?" Miguel reached up, cupping your breast with one hand. He gives you a squeeze, urging your nipple to harden underneath the fabric. His hazy eyes turn to the other breast, repeating the treatment. You nodded as he worked-- and it's cute how much you want to make him happy.
“Let me fuck your tits. Get on your back, take the dress off,” Miguel looked toward the bottle of lube. He finally has you naked. Every inch you peeled away revealed a little more precious skin that he’s craved to see all week. You slipped off the dress, then your bra, laying back on the sheets. The lube is lukewarm, but when it hit your warm skin, it caused you to flinch too.
“Oh, now it’s cold,” Miguel teased. You smeared the wet lube over your breasts, pushing them together just right. Warmth bit your cheeks as Miguel mounted you, either muscular thigh on the side of your ribs. Between his large body cradling your breasts and his eyes on yours, he realized that you were terribly shy. He rubs the head of his cock against your nipples before sliding between your breasts. “You’re so shy.”
“I’m sorry,” you nodded. It becomes clear that as much as you trust him-- there is some barrier to complete trust. Miguel began to thrust, his hips cantering in the warm, wet lubricant. You could appreciate every day he spent at the gym, making a physique that other men could only aspire to. He was so thick-- so handsome. His breath came out in sharp little puffs as he worked, hands coming on top of yours for both stability and the opportunity to touch you. His fingers slid between the empty gaps of your own, eyes closed, face taut with pleasure.
You knew, as much as he knew, what he was thinking of. His cock wrecking your pussy for the first time because no matter how many times you jerked him off, sucked his cock, or let him fuck your tits, he’d always wonder. He was certain you wanted it too, wanted to feel what it would be like to be under him-- pounded pretty. Your head rose to watch his cockhead peep out between your breasts. Every sweeping motion was rewarded with a little lick, earning a hiss of your name. His measured features hardened.
“Coño,” Miguel cursed as the thick ropes of his cum coated your tits. He forced himself forward, cum pumped over your collarbone and neck, dripping into your hair. The grip on your breast was unrelenting, while the other jerked himself through the bolts of aftershock. To his surprise, you gathered his cum between your fingers and suckled it, tasting his warm salty fluid on your tongue. He watched you, enraptured, as you cleaned yourself-- then went after his softening dick, suckling the spent seed there.
“Beautiful,” he murmured as he pulled away. You followed, inching up his chest to kiss him. He tasted himself, finding that he liked how he tasted much more when it was on your tongue. “Stay the night.”
He never asked anyone to stay the night. It was a flagrant violation of another rule that all the others knew he had. Miguel was open to having another roommate. A pretty girl to fuck and keep. She just had to be the right kind of girl. He has a feeling you’re that girl, nestling between his arm and chest, holding him close.
He just had to fuck you first to find out.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/0f353a70ec425e6a0092d55c82c5bcc5/7883895379a50920-b3/s540x810/e720c91409dd972c83c0855533e9c41e24b5ff60.jpg)
The thing about having multiple girls is-- his interest wanes.
He never knows the exact cause. Only that he’s distracted with you. Perhaps it’s your resistance to letting him actually fuck you. Not eat you out, not have his dick sucked, not fuck your tits, but fuck you. He’s thought about how a hundred different ways. Against the museum, in his bed, in the library, his private office-- It encompasses much of his attention. You were at Peter’s art showing Friday night, which was how he ended up here with Dana, yet again.
She wants to see this stupidly romantic movie that no one else is really into from the looks of the empty seats. Miguel isn’t invested either, his mind is racing with thoughts of someone else. Her lips are wrapped around his dick in the dark movie theatre, he goes soft. Soft-- Miguel rarely goes soft, he’s looking for a hole to fuck into. Apparently, this one is no good. He eventually sighs, pushing on her head to remove her from his cock.
“What is it, Miggy?”
A balance of light and shadows highlight her face as she sits there, looking positively aggravated with her failed Friday night date. Miguel knows that he can’t perform like this. He glances down at the near-empty theatre and itches the back of his neck, tucking himself back into his jeans.
“I’m not horny,” he murmured, folding his arms one over the other. He’s surprised she can hear him over the beaming sound of the movie theatre. She does, shoving his shoulder in protest over his shitty performance.
“You’re usually horny,” she bites back.
“Then maybe it’s you.”
The impulse to take it out on Dana is out before he can control it. She flicks her head at him, her slight eyes popping wide open. She searches Miguel’s flat features for an apology, ruffling her fluffy purple bangs away from her eyes. He doesn’t give her one.
“Oh, now you don’t want me? Ever since you’ve started seeing that teashop bitch,” Miguel perked his brow up, “You don’t have time for me. What? Is she that good?”
Tea shop bitch. It’s been over a week of trying to get you to fuck him at multiple intervals. He hasn’t been able to. Not for a lack of trying, but your shy deflection and offers to do things like-- pick an orange off the trees by his building, walk around on a date, or just touch one another. He tried to understand: you weren’t a girl that ran out to date many men. In fact, he’s pretty sure that he is the outlier in your sex life.
“You’re right,” he says. “We should stop fucking.”
“What?”
“You’re too attached,” Miguel stood up, his hands forming tight balls in his pockets. “And I’m just not that interested.”
“When did that change? A month ago? Miguel?”
He doesn’t have time for her stupid possessiveness, her obsession with keeping her slot as his default bitch. Other women told him all about Dana-- how she tended to show up where they were, bumping into them, or the rumors she spread in the department. He jots down the stairs, ignoring her squealing call of his name. The issue with Dana was this: she loved him far too much and he loved her far too little. As with so many of his once-were fuckbuddies, it was better for Miguel to go on his way.
Or, it would have been. He received a concerning message the next day.
I don’t want to see you again.
It’s from your number. Any attempted calls go straight to voicemail. Logically, he should have been able to count it as a loss and move on with any of the other women he had in his life. Illogically, Miguel wants an explanation. If he can’t get one from you, he knows just who will give him one.
Jess already knows what it’s about from the look behind her yellowed sunglasses. Her arms are turned one over the other, clearly having some sort of reservation from this meeting alone. She seems pissed off at him too despite the fact that he has no idea what the fuck he did. He only knows that you’ve virtually disappeared from his life.
“Are you going to tell me?” Miguel asks.
The crispy bagel sits forgotten before him, alongside the coffee that plumes wisps of heat into the air. Jess flicks her eye down to the steam, then back to Miguel.
“I told you to leave that girl alone in the first place.”
“You also set us up. I should know why she left.”
Jess looked off to the wind wisping through the trees, then to everybody that walked on by. There was an undeniable truth to what he said, her involvement was obvious and disconcerting. Whatever had happened, he deserves an explanation. You weren’t going to make this easy to talk to you, but he was intent. So long as he knew the depth of your irritation with him.
“Someone burned Peter. Something about… what was it? Stealing her man?”
He hates that he doesn’t have to ask who.
"Is he hurt?"
"Bad enough," Jess answers. "Y'know how special he is to her."
He's not sure he does.

the 2 different Time to Dance demos
youtube
The garageband demo of It's Time to Dance was posted to purevolume around October 24, 2004. Pete posted this on November 28th after listening to Panic's purevolume and then met them in Vegas around the following weekend. Then Panic went to visit Fall Out Boy in LA in mid-December 2004. That's the mansoup moment & when Brendon did his vocals for 7 Minutes in Heaven.
Then on January 13, 2005 P!ATD said they were heading into the studio to record It’s Time To Dance as a band. It sounded like they went back to visit Pete in LA to record a professional second version of the demo that could be used for promotional materials.
Pete shared these pictures on the Clandestine buzznet on January 15th. The first one said "in the lab with the scientists in panic" with the caption "your next favorite band. i promise." The second one said "satanic panic at the disco."
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/c6561d8b69164950f6e39a84d4705f80/55e1afdd34efbc98-d8/s400x600/43cbf50185ce15597c1a772e824b0d65c51cc792.jpg)

Pete's caption for the last picture was “if james van der beek and gerard from my chemical romance had a baby – it would be the human holding this bass guitar. sick bra, brah.”
Ryan posted on livejournal on January 23 that "pete put a shitty picture of us up on the clandestine site. go make fun of it. brendon is wearing a bra."
Pete re-shared this picture on his blog in 2008 with the caption "arent you glad i was there from the very start with a camera in hand at all times. these are really some of my best friends on the planet."
(x) a relevant interview excerpt:
Pete Wentz: “and then you guys came out and stayed with me and Patrick at the Oakwoods to record Time to Dance. You stayed up all night I think playing video games.”
Brendon: “Yeah, man, I was away from my parents, you guys had ALL the video games! We started putting bras on, taking weird pictures and crap… it got weird!”
Pete also told Nylon in 2006: “When we were living in L.A. they came over to hang out and I wanted to take hilarious pictures of them. Nobody knew how big they’d get at that point so I dressed them up in this ridiculous stuff. They were wearing these crazy hip-hop jackets. One of them was wearing a bra…”
Anyways, Ryan posted on livejournal on January 19th that they'd recorded a full band version of time to dance last week. The official demo for “Its Time To dance (cause boys will be boys)” was posted on purevolume the next day. That’s the version that was used on the FBR spring sampler and even played on some radio stations that year before the album came out. I guess I sort of view the original demo as the demo and the second version as It's Time to Dance... like it gets the title and feels like its own song because of how heavily it was used (even this dang site had it playing in the background). It’s also worth noting that Ryan referred to the song as just “time to dance” in his 1/19 post, while FBR's spring sampler still said “It’s Time to Dance." So the final name change wasn't as unexpected as Relax Relapse jumping to Camisado ha.

Ticklish?
!UPDATED¡
This is my first fic so please dont judge.

Tony is trying to upgrade one of his suits when he hears a certain someone hop in the lab.
“Hey Mr. Stark!“
“Hey kid, what do ya need“ He asked, still trying to work.
“Nothing.“ He said, being obvious that he wants something.
“I know you want something, you can tell me its not like I’ll lash out at you.“ Peter was embarassed because he never usually comes to Tony when he wants attention.
“Really, it’s nothing. I just came to see what you were doing. “
“I’m just working on a suit upgrade.” He said, trying to get Peter to tell him what he wants by not talking about it. Peter usually doesn’t tell Tony what he wants right away because he doesn’t wanna bother him or anything, but he eventually tells him if they’re just standing/sitting there.
“Why don’t you go hang out with Harley?” He asked, thinking that would get him to talk.
“I’m good.” He said seriously. Tony turned around to look at him.
“Okay seriously kid,I know you want something. Just tell me,it hurts that you don’t feel comfortable telling me.”
“It’s not that I don’t feel comfortable,it’s just… 𝖾𝗆𝖻𝖺𝗋𝖺𝗌𝗌𝗂𝗇𝗀...“ He whispered the last part.
“What was that last part?“ He asked, while Peters face was turning red as a tomato.
“It’s embarrassing!“ He raised his voice a little. Tony laughed a little,
“Juhust tell me.“ Tony patted his head but accidentally touched his neck while pulling his hand back.
“EEP!“ Peter jumped back like 1 foot away. Tony thought for a moment and then it hit him.
“Peter,are you tihicklish?“
“No!“ He said defensingly. Peters ears and neck have now turned red along with his face.
“Then whyhy are you so rehed?” He laughed, knowing he’s lying.
“It’s just hohot!” Peter said, his face burning with embarrassment. Tony snickers,
“Sure sure, then you wouldn’t mind if I tested it out right?” He said teasingly. If it were possible,Peters face would’ve turned even more red.
“Uh,I think I gotta go,I’ve already over-stayed my visit!” Peter blurts out, already sprinting away from Tony. Before he could even get a foot away from him,he feels a hand wrap around his arm, yanking him backwards.
“Oh no you don’t you little twerp!” He knocked him down to the floor and pinned his arms above his head.
“You wouldn’t lie to me right Peter?~” He teases with a poke to his side.
“EEK!” He squealed with a rather unmanly voice. Tony then squeezed his side.
“StoHOhop!” He hoped this stopped as soon as possible,or did he?
“I thought you said you weren’t ticklish Pete~” Tony was now lightly scribbling his hip.
“I’m noHOOO-“ Tony drilled his finger into Peter’s middle rib.
“You wanna finish that sentence?” He teased, making Peter squeal. As he started to get to his top rib, Peter’s laugh was getting higher.
“TohoHO clohOse!” Tony stopped and Peter was just lying there with heavy breathing and light giggles.
“Does someone have a tickle spot there?~” He teased like he was teasing a toddler. Peter’s bright blush rushed to his ears and neck, looking anywhere but Tony’s eyes.
“I think they doooo~” Peter’s blush got darker,
“And that someone is, you~” He started digging into Peter’s underarms, making him laugh like crazy, his eyes squeezed shut.
“NAHAHAHAHAHAAAA” He screamed, Bucky was a little near where they were, so he was alerted and rushed to the lab.
“What happened?!-“ He was surprised to what he saw. Tony looked up, noticing him,
“Oh hey Buck! Just trying to get this little bug to talk.” He says, now scribbling lightly. Bucky immediately pulls out his phone and starts recording.
“Just tell me what you want so bad~” He’s enjoying this just as much as Peter, and so is Bucky.
“EHEHEHEHEEEEE” He squirms, knowing he couldn’t get away. Even if he was trying.
“I am SO showing this to the whole tower later!” Bucky says making Peter try to look up at him.
“NOHOHOHO” Bucky smiles down at him sinisterly. He squeals when Tony starts poking and prodding at his sides.
“StOhOhOhOp!” He laughs, hoping this wouldn’t end as soon as he thought he would. But then Tony starts digging at Peter’s hips.
“AHahAh! 𝘴𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘵” He stops, his jaw hanging wide open while also smiling. And Bucky is just laughing his ass off in the back.
“Thahahat is a nehehew souhond.” Peter lies there with his face as red as a tomato. Giggles still spilling out of his mouth.
“Sh-shuhut uhup man!” He says while pushing his face. Bucky stops recording and runs away still laughing,
“Saham! Hey Samhm!”
“Noho! Mr.Stahark get ohoff so I can get hihim!” Peter laughs, trying to get up.
“Sorry, no can do.” He says, then starts digging into his sides.
“NoHoHo! Mr.StAHahark!” Tony ignores him and keeps going.
“You stihill haven’t told me whyhy you can into my lahab!” He laughs, making Peter cover his blushy face.
“Dohont cover your cuhute little fahace!” He says, then tickling his underarms.
“NOHOHOHOHOHO!!” He really didn’t want to tell him why since he was so embarrassed, plus he didn’t really want this to end either.
“You gonna tell me why now?” But then again, he couldn’t STAND the teasing.
“OKAYAY OKAYAY ILL TAHAHAHALK!” Tony stops, looking at him with a teasing questioning look. Peter lays there giggling trying to catch his breath.
“Ihi just.. wahanted attention…” He whispered the last part.
“What was that?”
“I wanted attention!” He yells, with bright blush on his face. Tony chuckles with an adored look on him.
“You could’ve juhust asked bahambino.” He lets up, with Peter covering his face in a tiny ball.
“You have nohothing to be embarrassed about Pete.” He smiles at him. Peter slowly uncovers his VERY blushy face.
“I didn’t wanna bug you..” He says quietly, making Tony’s heart break from adorable-ness.
“Yohou could never bug mehe bud. That’s vehery adorable.” Peter’s blush darkens.
After that, they come upstairs to find Bucky and Sam laughing at Bucky’s phone and hearing Peter’s loud laugh coming from it. God, they were gonna tease him so bad for this.
FINALLY FUCKING DONE! AFTER MONTHS.

Some more wholesome headcanons
- Clayton can cook very well ( He downplays his own abilities but when he needs to he can whip up some of the most delicious shit the rest of the crew have eaten)
- He can dance! ( Its a custom in Breeg to teach your children dance, him and Clara sometimes just put on a record and dance in the living room togheter.)
- When Clayton was maybe 15- 16, he accidentally blew up a part of the science lab, no one still knows who did it and Clayton sure as shit aint telling anyone
- His love language is acts of service whilst Claras is physical affection, he has woken up on several occasions to tons of kiss marks on his face and chest. (Hes still very affectionate himself)
Heres just an idea that i find fun
- Victoria has been sheltered her whole life but her father still took her out on a few very rare occasions, one of those was when he needed to run an errand to the University.
She accidentally slips away (the University is huge) until she hears something from one of the lecture halls. She pushes the door open a bit and sees a younger Clayton Azran using magic to teach a class, getting mesmerized by it.
She tries to close the door quietly but it creeks, getting everyone in the rooms attention. Clayton approaces her and asks who she might be but before she can answer her father finds her, dragging her away.
Years pass and Victoria forgets all about the magical professor, but Clayton doesn't forget about the young girl, having sensed a great power within her, hoping that she persude it.
(I like mixing their backstories togheter, the chance that Vik and Clayton could have met is low but never zero)
Awwww, I love theseee!!!
Yes! Just- Yes! I like the idea of it being custom to dance, mainly ball room in my mind, but dancing being a culture staple just seems really fitting for Breeg. (Totally not my bias in the love for dance (hip hop my beloved, despite having no athletic ability whatsoever (I was actually a pretty fucking good dancer, I just lost passion for it and never pursued to do it competitively)))
Clayton blowing up part of the science lab also feels very on brand for him. Surprised that it's only happened once!
Also YES. To him and Victoria meeting some point in the past?? Like?? Augh. I love these fuckers so much. They're amazing. The chance that they met it low, but not zero, especially with both Clayton's and Victoria's father's status in Breeg.

Domestic Affairs with Bucky Barnes
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6908f68b259a22ed41f72fe68983119d/cb44774c5109e595-da/s540x810/14afae346318a71c96938a40cdcdbb6cf6876f20.jpg)
―I used to cut my father's hair while he was working in the lab, so I know what I'm doing― Cass said as she placed a towel over my shoulders and covered my chest.
It was time for a haircut. Steve had told me, Sam had told me, and Natasha had laughed at me because I couldn't always have it in my eyes, and I was fed up with it. Besides, Dr. Raynor had said that maybe a change in my appearance would help me think outside the box and do some exposure therapy to deal with crowded spaces or being touched by unknown beings. I wasn't comfortable with that, and since I urgently needed someone to help me, I reluctantly asked mini Stark for help.
―Just… do it quickly, I don't want to be here for too long― I said uncomfortably.
I looked in the mirror of my bathroom and saw her with a small empathetic smile, touching my metal shoulder, which made me feel worse. It wasn't a part of my body that I loved.
―I want you to know that if you feel pressured or have any horrible Hydra flashbacks while I'm cutting or using the machine, you need to tell me to stop because it won't be good for you to keep that to yourself. Trust me, I know from experience― she said, looking at me through the mirror.
I nodded with little confidence, but we were already here, and I wasn't going to let anyone I didn't know touch me.
―Tell me about what you've learned about the new world recently― she said, wetting my hair with a sprayer, and my skin quickly became goosebumps. I sighed, closing my eyes.
―Steve has been showing me music or the one he started delving into modernity with, but I still prefer 40s music.
I felt the metal blades against my nape, and I was momentarily startled, but Cass's free hand gripped my shoulder, tapping or making patterns to keep me calm, something she did to herself sometimes when there were loud noises or her father talked about her time in Hydra as an experiment. She played with her metal heart-shaped pendant on her chest.
―¿What music did he show you? ¿Pop? ¿Rock? ¿Hip-hop? ¿Rap?― she asked, very concentrated as she cut. I could feel my long hair falling to the floor.
―He showed me a band, Nirvana, ¿maybe? He likes them a bit, but I don't know. I have to listen to more things― I said with a grimace.
―Their albums are on Spotify. Dad kind of likes Nirvana, and I'm okay with their lead singer― she said, her tongue sticking out, too busy to connect my gaze with hers in the mirror.
―¿Is Spotify that round black and green thing in every room of the house?― I asked, confused. I had been trying to be explained things like the screens in every room or the circles that, when touched, showed other things, but it was still hard to grasp.
She let out a amused laugh, stopping cutting my hair to grab the modern version of my flip phone. She liked old things but with a new version for this time, or so she kept telling me when I asked her how a young and beautiful girl could kiss and love an old and broken man like me.
Leaving the scissors on the sink and talking to the house's robot, an old 40s song began to play. I didn't like it much, but it was nice, and I liked how she swayed her hips, resuming work and humming a few things.
―You'll hear the songs that have been left in your personal music registry by Steve and some songs of mine with certain similarities in melody or tempo, so you can find new things without leaving your comfort zone― my hair was getting shorter, and the time to use the machine was approaching, but Cass's sweet and calm voice was like a fog to my mind.
―I still prefer record players― I said.
She laughed again.
―Of course you do― she said, putting the scissors on the white marble and resting her forearms on my shoulders. ―¿What do you think? ¿Shall I start cutting with the machine or leave it like this?"
She asked me, looking into my eyes through the mirror with a little smile.
―Shorter, nothing behind the ears, and little hair on the face― I said confidently.
She smiled and gave me a small kiss on the cheek before stepping away from me and grabbing the machine carefully.
―Let's go carefully, ¿okay? If you feel pressured, if you don't like it, if the noise is too much, we can stop whenever you want― she lightly massaged my shoulders.
I nodded carefully, sighing and closing my eyes and staying with the soft sound of the guitar and violins playing in the bathroom. Cass's soft voice singing along with the woman in the song trying to distract me from the sound of the machine so close to my head was comforting.
―It's called 'The Lakes.' It's from a very calm and deep album by Taylor, the blonde girl I have plastered all over my room― she said near my ear with a calm voice.
―¿The one you spent making bracelets and made me one?
―Exactly, you'll like this album. It's very calming and has very beautiful lyrics, and it helps you sleep because of how sweetly she sings. I have the vinyl, so someday, when you have nightmares, we'll listen to it.
―I always have nightmares.
―And that's why we're going to listen to it tonight― she kissed the top of my head before turning me around to face her.
Both of us face to face, her eyes shining with excitement with the machine in hand, and for a moment, I remembered that thing passing by me, and I didn't even feel it.
―I have to tap ahead, so I need you to be very still and calm, ¿okay? You can hold onto my waist if something scares you― she grabbed my chin with a smile on her face.
―It's okay, Doll, I promise.
She stopped looking at me and focused on cutting the front part of my hair while my arms were around her hips, watching her from below. Her concentration was the same as when she used to create her machines or when she did things in her laboratory, so she was taking her work very seriously.
―I vaguely remember my mother cutting my hair when I was little― I said, looking at her.
―That's sweet, Buck. For a long time after Daddy rescued me from Hydra, I couldn't get near anything sharp because I wanted to end my life on Earth, so when they had to cut my hair, Dad and Adriana, his assistant, would put on Disney movies for me, and both of them would cut my hair― she hummed a few lines of the song from before from time to time.
She suffered for three years what I did for 50 years, but we were still at the same level of pain and trauma. She was very young, a preteen, and she was already a killing machine, and they not only messed her up mentally but physically with that star on her chest and putting cables instead of veins.
―I'm sorry.
―Buck, everyone has their response to the situation. Mine was wanting to throw myself out the window because of the pain, but now I'm better and ready to help you in everything― she bent down to kiss my lips carefully before turning me around to look at her in the mirror.
It didn
't turn out bad at all; she had talent for this, and it showed by how proud she was of her work.
―I like it, I thought it would look worse― I said surprised as I approached the mirror to see myself; it was weird to see myself with short hair, although I didn't dislike it.
She looked at me incredulously, but it didn't last long as that proud smile appeared on her face again.
―I'm glad you like it, Buck, and I'm very proud of you for overcoming another fear today. You were very brave with me― she looked into my eyes through the mirror before leaving a kiss on my head.
―Thank you, Doll.
―It was a pleasure, my love.

On one hand i think it is good to look at your tastes and ask yourself if you are ignorant of predominately Black art (something that will happen if you are not a part of/exposed to Black communities) and thus not engaging in something you might truly enjoy but on the other hand you (referring to fans of white LGBT artists re: prev rb post and people who do not listen to Drake or Kendrick Lamar) do not need to exercise white guilt or over explain why you dont listen to the genres or artists you do not listen to. Nobody cares if you listen to them or not. Nobody is impressed. Like listen to a song or 2 to see if it's your taste but nobody cares if youre the white person who errm actually is a huge supporter of Black artists like the hugest. What arrogance 2 assume that Black artists need or care about the patronage of white recluses on Tumblr of all platforms... they go viral across the world but people on Tumblr go "actually this artist is super underground bc the white people I follow on Tumblr don't rb gifsets of them or sing their praises" i did not know who Chappel Roan was until my white and wasian LGBT coworkers at the writing lab of all places started talking about her. This is nerd discourse. No Chappel Roan hate respectfully. Upper class/middle class White suburbia/exurbia is the global minority and hip hop is a global incredibly influential thing that has helped define this current era. The only crime is to not know its significance but its not a crime to not care about it. For the record I could care less about Mitski I think she's mid. I said it. And you could say that the point of people posting this discourse is to speak to the Tumblr community's white biases and sure that is fair. But my rebuttal would be that it is ok to be a white recluse who doesnt know anything about Black music. Recognize this and own this sure but lets move on.

a little warning, a lot of addiction. If there are things that you consider as a warning let me know!! :)
this blog is in spanish because i don't want to use the translator and get it translated wrong ):)

012 - Radio Show, 2007-2008
My senior year I spent most of it in the TV studio, which was a makeshift lab that had video functionality and media literacy classes - stuff like that. Originally my high school had a lot of different amenities but over time they sort of got taken away - as soon as Cox communications came into the state for instance they bought out all public access channels and got rid of most of them. It sucked, my radio show which I had sophomore-junior year, went from people being able to watch it live at a specific time as my comedy group and I did the show to having to prerecord it and having my best friend from my neighborhood have to do the control board while we recorded. Felt like I was excluding him. The original studio was a storage area - there was maybe two big rooms, one tiny closet filled to the brim with electronics (the editing room) and hallway like rooms where computers would go. It was a cool spot for people to go too though cause generally a lot of the other teachers were strict - and this one, who I will call Mr. Neo, was pretty chill.
Chill enough that one day I had an overwhelming drive to ask/create my own radio show after seeing how it could be possible by learning about the studio. I'd always listen to the radio and think about the lives of the radio jockeys, how cool it must be (little did I know). I didn't know Mr. Neo but I approached him and pitched him my idea, and to my surprise he was entirely on board/I had a radio show before I knew it. Yeah it was more of a podcast by today's standards but back then the commentary stuff was really in blogs, I'd post it to myspace but the live stuff was the first time I had people from my neighborhood check out my content directly. All I had to do was say 'Turn on Channel 18 at 3pm when you get off the bus'. I'd play music in between just joking around with my friends, and periodically interviewing people who came on like that really nice Comedian I met. (This is a reference to my most recent interview). It didn't feel the same when it wasn't live - there wasn't that same electric energy when we'd prerecord. There was a TV in the small editing control room where we'd all gather for the show, it'd get so hot in there due to so many people packing in but we made it work. In College I attempted to do another radio show just by myself on the station that would play music to the whole school outside of the classrooms - this is how I met some of the other industry people I know who I became good friends with at the time. I'd play hip hop that I liked to the school like diamonds are forever, my friend's music - in general just push our stuff/sound. I got that live feeling again. It wasn't much, but it taught me an important lesson. To get up and go for what you want in life, even if it's a crazy idea - over time the radio show did fizzle out, as it was hard to organize it with everybody every other week on top of editing that content and then putting it out for not as many listeners. I'm sure every artist relates with the feeling of 'is this worth it?'. Well it is, if even just for the lesson and to repeat the story.

Resilience Through Music: How Artists Are Adapting in a Changing World
The world has witnessed unprecedented challenges in recent years, and the arts community has not been immune. Despite these difficulties, musicians and artists have continued to create, inspire, and connect people through their craft. From overcoming logistical hurdles to adopting new technologies, the resilience of artists shines brighter than ever. In this article, we delve into the inspiring stories of adaptation and innovation that highlight how music continues to thrive.
How the Pandemic Sparked Creativity in Music
The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted lives globally, but it also fueled a wave of creativity among artists. For musicians, staying connected with audiences during lockdowns meant embracing digital platforms. Among the most inspiring stories are Indian artists beating corona by using their art to spread hope, awareness, and solidarity. Online concerts and virtual jam sessions became lifelines for artists and fans alike.
Affordable Ways to Create Professional Music
Advancements in technology have democratized music production, enabling more creators to pursue their passion. Many musicians have turned to the best alternatives to record a professional music track, such as home studio setups, budget-friendly audio interfaces, and cloud-based collaboration tools. These solutions not only reduce costs but also provide flexibility and convenience.
Making Music as a Student: Challenges and Opportunities
For college students, juggling academics with creative pursuits is no easy feat. However, learning how to make music when in college can be a transformative experience. Many student musicians find unique inspiration from campus life, while also using university resources like music labs and peer collaborations to hone their skills.
Financial Support Systems for Musicians
The financial struggles faced by musicians, particularly during crises, have led to innovative support initiatives. One such initiative is the establishment of Corpus Funds for Indian Musicians, which provides much-needed relief and resources to struggling artists. These funds are often used for healthcare, equipment, or other essentials, allowing musicians to focus on their craft without added stress.
A Glimpse at the Pioneers of Hip-Hop
As the music industry continues to evolve, it’s worth celebrating the visionaries who have shaped it. Hip-hop, in particular, has experienced a meteoric rise, with artists breaking boundaries and challenging norms. The Top 10 Hip Hop Artists serve as a testament to the genre’s enduring power, offering inspiration to aspiring musicians worldwide.
Conclusion
Music has always been a medium of resilience and transformation, and the recent years have underscored its significance. Artists across the globe are finding innovative ways to adapt, inspire, and connect with their audiences. From leveraging technology to exploring financial support systems, musicians are proving that creativity knows no bounds. As we move forward, the stories of these resilient artists will continue to remind us of the unifying power of music.

ENHYPEN Return With Dreamy 2nd Studio Repackage Album ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream-
Rosa Gulliver of TINYGMUSIC | November 11, 2024
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/16619d531cd29224bc24ab673864832f/bcf4357743201865-06/s540x810/28f89bf9dfe1b1c70cbfb88fb3a4bf217d08d952.jpg)
ENHYPEN return with their dreamy 2nd Studio Repackage Album ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream-, out now.
Expanding upon themes from their 2nd studio album released earlier this year in July, the repackage edition, ROMANCE : UNTOLD -daydream- draws listeners into a vivid vision of a romantic and yet oddly spectral daydream. Through a tracklist that comprises of two new tracks—the lead single “No Doubt” and “Daydream”—in addition to 10 tracks from the original studio album, the septet expresses a range of perplexing emotions associated with love in this daydream, in which one growingly becomes certain of their feelings of love in the long hours of the day spent without the other.
Introducing the new release, ENHYPEN said “The new album features a greater depth of emotions and a wider range of musical expression across the music, the music video, and the choreography,” adding that “It’s going to be an album that closes out the big year we had, filled with everything we have.”
The newly unveiled layer of the ‘ROMANCE’ series opens with an urban hip-hop track, “Daydream.” The track sings the heart of a boy who, in the absence of their lover, is pulled into a nightmare of one’s own imaginations and loneliness, but paradoxically falls even deeper in love. What follows is the danceable synth-pop track and lead single “No Doubt,” in which the boy becomes unequivocally sure about their love for the other, even when circumstances do not allow them to spend every second together.
youtube
The music video that accompanies the lead single likens the confounding emotions of being in love to the experiences of an office worker with a capacity for delusion. Bound by restrictions of an otherworldly office setting and haunted by their own imagination, the ENHYPEN members venture through the lovesick hours of not being able to see ‘you’ in the cinematic video.
Since their debut, ENHYPEN have solidified their identity by introducing unique concepts–such as surreal, dreamy, and youthful vibes–to express their album narratives. Following the previous chapters of ‘BORDER,’ ‘DIMENSION,’ ‘MANIFESTO,’ and ‘BLOOD,’ ROMANCE : UNTOLD, the first iteration of the ‘ROMANCE’ series released in July unravelled the story of seven boys who vow to protect their love at all costs.
The album hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200, earning the band their first top 3 entry on the chart. Album sales for the release surpassed their previous record by 30,000 units, set with their previous EP ORANGE BLOOD released in November 2023. ROMANCE : UNTOLD sold more than 2.3 million copies worldwide in its first week, with 1.8 million copies sold on the first day alone.
About ENHYPEN
ENHYPEN is the first boyband created by BELIFT LAB, consisting of members JUNGWON, HEESEUNG, JAY, JAKE, SUNGHOON, SUNOO, and NI-KI. Inspired by the ‘hyphen(-)’ that connects one word to another, ENHYPEN means that seven different boys connect to discover one another and grow together. Upon their official debut in November 2020, ENHYPEN broke out into the global K-pop scene and began smashing from day one with 1st Mini Album BORDER : DAY ONE, achieving the biggest first week sales for a single album among K-pop groups to debut the same year. In three years, the K-pop powerhouse came to possess four Billboard 200 Top 10 albums—3rd Mini Album MANIFESTO : DAY 1 (July 2022), 4th Mini Album DARK BLOOD (May 2023), 5th Mini Album ORANGE BLOOD (November 2023), and 2nd Studio Album (ROMANCE : UNTOLD)—which debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 6, No. 4, No. 4, and No. 2 respectively. After triumphantly headlining arenas in 12 cities worldwide for their first world tour ‘MANIFESTO,’ ENHYPEN embarked on their second world tour ‘FATE,’ marking their momentous U.S. stadium debut. Armed with authentic stories in their music and multi-talented presence on stage, ENHYPEN continues to capture the attention of viewers worldwide while performing on global shows like Good Morning America and The Kelly Clarkson Show.
About BELIFT LAB
BELIFT LAB is a label founded jointly by CJ ENM and HYBE, created with the goal of developing idol groups targeting the global market to drive the mainstreaming of K-POP while redefining and innovating the label business. Artists under this label include ENHYPEN (debuted in November of 2020) and ILLIT (debuted in March of 2024).

Aaron Parks Interview: Allow the Record to Show Up
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/9b1d96785a6f75ffcf1bb93856974d98/78fb63ff44ceace8-3a/s540x810/76019f96402cdca13e65c63c5d72b6f67a950f16.jpg)

BY JORDAN MAINZER
Describing a record as a band's "loosest" yet is too often either a lazy euphemism for saying that it sounds incoherent or an effort to obscure the fact that it sounds the same, desperate to find a differentiator. Of course, you now know that I'm going to say that for jazz pianist Aaron Parks, the third record from his band Little Big is, for real, their loosest album. But in speaking to Parks last month over Zoom from his home in Lisbon, what I found was that there were material reasons for the album's sense of untethered security. For one, Parks and his quartet--guitarist Greg Tuohey, bassist David Ginyard Jr., and, for the first time on a studio album, drummer Jongkuk Kim--decided that though they would release Little Big III (Blue Note) under Parks' name, it was everyone's band, each member's songs and visions equally welcome, fostering a proper creative environment. Moreover, before recording, the quartet was able to rehearse the songs all day and perform them for an audience at night for five days, seeing for themselves the songs take shape just as audience members did.
Little Big III is a free-sounding record not because it's ramshackle but in that the twists and turns it takes are cohesive, yet natural. It starts with the exploratory "Flyways", Kim's skittering, syncopating drums and Tuohey's spritely, hazy lead guitar line breaking up Parks' and Ginyard Jr.'s tandem lines; the band breaks from the pattern but always returns to the main theme, like a pet checking out a new person. From there, "Locked Down" goes from creaky to cosmic: Its lurching beat and warm guitars carry the song to an end where Kim's drum rolls sound like a black hole. But for every song layered with expressive themes, there are (in hindsight) necessary breathers, like the stark, emotive "Heart Stories", or the Western guitar-addled "Willamina". And many songs feature a push and pull within themselves, like "The Machines Say No", whose subdued guitar line is subsumed by mighty, hip-hop style drums. Little Big III is the type of album that bends time with its paradoxes. Just as you were getting into a groove, it surprises you around every corner, but when you look back, you realize there's nowhere else you'd rather be.
Parks spoke with me about the making of Little Big III, working with big-name producers with varying styles, storytelling, record sequencing, and Invisible Cinema, his only other record for Blue Note as bandleader. Read our conversation below, edited for length and clarity.
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/3f1aeb66317f0fa2cdd13a3bf0862e7e/78fb63ff44ceace8-6b/s540x810/6b196ebe43651bf87df7f4445dbb03432d795ce6.jpg)
Since I Left You: You've said Little Big III feels raw and honest. Did you feel like less of a bandleader and more of a band guider making this record?
Aaron Parks: A couple of things were very concrete. Greg and I clearly made a decision that it wasn't going to be just my band anymore. It would be my name, because we weren't going to change the metadata, how we built our audience. [But] it's a group thing. It's especially Greg and I. That's my co-pilot, right there. Knowing that very clearly and having that discussed, that [Little Big] was a band that I was in, started to change my approach where it didn't feel like this thing I was trying to lift off the ground. "We gotta get it right! Let's get to my ideal." We had already created a sound for ourselves with the first two records. Now, the band itself starts to tell us what to do.
Right before hitting the studio, we worked with ShapeShifter Plus, part of ShapeShifter Lab, a wonderful space in Brooklyn run by Matt Garrison, son of Jimmy Garrison. He and his business partner Fortuna [Sung] opened up the space to us to be able to do three days of all-day rehearsals and three nights of performances. We had a chance to really get under the hood and try things from different angles. In the "jazz" world, way too often, [you get] one or maybe two rehearsals, and if you're lucky, there's a gig before the record. But more often than not, you make the record, you tour the record. For us, we wanted to go into the laboratory a little bit first to start to get the chemistry going, play a few shows in front of a live audience with these new songs, just to sort of start being a little less self-conscious on them. Then, immediately go into the studio. Those five days at ShapeShifter Lab were essential to set us up to hit the studio and allow the record to show up.
SILY: The record that wants to be made will be made. It's like it's a living, breathing thing. Have you had that recording experience with any other records, where you get the opportunity to road test before recording?
AP: I've had the opportunity to do something on the road. It's funny, though, because it doesn't work in the same way as you would think. There's a trio record from [2017], Find The Way with Ben Street and Billy Hart on ECM. We had 6 dates with the band in the UK, three days to record in the South of France. For a variety of reasons, we were playing one way on the road and had built up our chemistry and figured out what we were doing, but the moment we hit the studio, Billy played completely differently because [label founder] Manfred Eicher was there in the room. He knows what Manfred likes out of the drums. It was very interesting. I actually really love that record, and it doesn't sound anything like what we were playing on that tour.
It always does help to have that basis of trust and communication and feeling like things are flowing already. You're not starting from zero, even if you do take it in a different direction, ultimately. This record, for me, all the way through, it felt really special to be making it. As we were making it, in addition to how we prepared for it, we went to the studio itself and hunkered down as a band there, in Dreamland Recording studios up near Woodstock. [Blue Note president] Don Was was also there. [His] presence was valuable in so many ways and shows you the power of attunement and attention and how that transcends and bypasses the need for words some of the time. Don's just fully checked in being present as he was listening. He did something as a producer that I hadn't seen before, which was to set up a headphone station for himself in the big room with the band while we were tracking. He wasn't behind the glass listening and taking notes. He was in the room with us, vibrating. Having someone with good, warm, encouraging vibes and who is listening, and you're playing for them and each other, it gave a different focus. It was very special for us all to be in our own little world we were making there in the studio. It made for a really memorable experience.
SILY: Like Manfred Eicher, he's a big name, the president of the label, but it sounds like something completely different. It was almost like he was a part of the band rather than the boss.
AP: To be clear, I like them both. I really loved working with Manfred as well. I went into the experience working with Manfred with full surrender, willing to be manhandled. "Make your record with me." In that regard, I decided for that record to be a sideman in my own band, to let Manfred make the record he thought we should make. Working with Don, there's such a transparency there, and sometimes, when needed, the occasional incisive, "Hey, let's get things back on track." A handful of small words here, encouragement there, making sure we don't get bogged down in the micro and lose sight of the macro. Having the ability to be in a place where we were all completely free from the outside world. We made our own little bubble for the four days we were there and lived in the world of the record. Whenever that's possible, especially for music like this that is as much about world-building as it is about anything else, I feel it's essential, holing up.
SILY: Are there any concrete ways holing up affected the mood of individual songs?
AP: In some ways, it feels a lot more of a piece, somehow, than the previous [Little Big records]. I still have a lot of love for those records, but as a listener, they can feel a little more herky-jerky, like I'm being pulled around in a bunch of different worlds. This one, we build a mood and sustain it. As we were recording the record, it became apparent we already had the sound. Most of the records I made in the past, you get something as good as you can in the studio, and you know you'll have to reimagine it later on. "We'll fix it in post." We really got the record sounding very close to how it sounds on the final album as we were tracking. Staying in that space as we were listening to the playback, being able to go right back to the control room if you wanted to [do so] in the middle of the night. The entire record, I was wearing slippers, because I was treating it like I was in the bedroom. We did a big round of shopping for everyone so we would all have breakfast together in the morning. Having conversations with Don over coffee and matcha about Big Thief or Thomas Morgan or whatever came to our minds. It felt less like going to work and more like the whole day was the process. It was all creation, all part of it.

SILY: I take it you had most of the songs written and just added in improvisational elements during the recording.
AP: Exactly. By the time we hit the studio, we knew what we were doing, but there were a lot of things we hadn't decided upon at the beginning of the rehearsal week. A lot of my pieces, even in the studio, we went back and forth with compositional ideas, details of phrasing, or slight things in the form that only revealed themselves when we found it in the moment. I really love how the improvisation works on this record. On the earlier Little Big records, sometimes, it had a feeling of something I was trying to build or achieve, these songs of mine I was trying to bring out into the world. "Here's what I'm hearing, let's try to make it as close as we can to the ideal of it." There was a certain element of striving inside of [those records] that when it came to the improvisation, it could still be really cool, but there was something that felt at times like it was playing safe. We were so much focused on being able to build this thing that I wasn't allowing enough of the chaos energy to enter into it, for my own sake. Now that it feels much more alive, now that it feels like it's not mine, it feels a bit more thorny and dangerous when it needs and wants to be, and we're not getting in the way of that anymore. We're not forcing it to be exciting if it doesn't want to. It has less of a feeling of striving in any way. The songs are whatever they are.
SILY: There are moments where Greg's guitars are really scraggly, more so than usual, or there's a starkness to Jongkuk's drums. It doesn't really sound like you're trying to make a grand statement in the moment, you're just letting it be.
AP: On a tune like "Locked Down": That's a way I never would have allowed myself to play in the past, more angular, blurry, almost drunk-sounding. It's funny because this is the first Little Big record I was totally straight edge leading up to it and the recording. It was an interesting experience for me, because the previous two Little Big records were done on pretty heroic doses of mushrooms. This was definitely a cleaner vibe that actually sounded a little more intoxicated, in its own way.
SILY: This is your second Blue Note record as a band leader after Invisible Cinema, which is one of my favorite contemporary jazz records. Does this album have any sort of connection to that record?
AP: They're deeply connected. This band, Little Big, is taking some of those ideas I was looking after with Invisible Cinema and seeing whether I could boil [them] down a little bit more, in terms of feeling less stylistically grafted onto one another. Not jazz guys using rock ideas, but, "Can we have the improvisation and composition and mood and storytelling all start from the same center?" I still stand by [Invisible Cinema]. My playing on it sounds so youthful, scampering, in a way that sometimes, I'm like, "Oh boy, young man, chill out." [But it's faithful to the] idea of [allowing] so-called genres to really fuse with each other. That's one of the things I've been after with this band, allowing it to reduce to what is most essential. I've found that in some ways, the harmonic world of these songs has gotten much simpler and starker. How can I make the music that I'm playing sound to feel more like the music I most like to listen to?
SILY: And doing so in a way where parts of the process are out of your control.
AP: Exactly. It makes sense for this one to be coming back to Blue Note after all these years, the spiritual successor to the things I was after with Invisible Cinema years ago. It's looking at the same questions and finding different answers.
SILY: How do you approach storytelling with your music? Are there stories behind the songs, and what do you mean by "stories?"
AP: It's a funny thing, because I use that word a lot, and [the songs are] not necessarily concretely grounded. It's not a specific, actual story. They're not biographical--not most of them, anyways. There's another record that will come out next year [whose songs are based off] people, images, and dedications--not so much stories.
It's such a good question, and it's one I'm not sure I know how to answer, except for a feeling of narrative and folktale. I find myself drawn to myth and things that have been reduced into something that becomes totemic, in one way or another, and has a storytelling aspect that in some ways, is a specific story, and in other ways, is archetypical. I find myself drawn towards and often writing music that requires a sense of storytelling logic. What are the principles of the world of the song? How does gravity work in this environment? How do these different characters of the different leitmotifs relate to each other? Where might they culminate in surprising ways? As a composer, how can you withhold a part of the composition and have it emerge later on? A song like "Heart Stories" comes to mind. It's a lullaby. The first half of the song has a pathos.
SILY: There's a melancholy to it.
AP: That's the right word. There's a melancholy to it, especially the first half of it, that's a bit working with primary colors. It's simultaneously a lullaby and highly structured. It's mostly in various shades of blue at the beginning, you might say. Halfway through that song, the bottom falls out. It takes this narrative turn of leaving the question unanswered that it proposed, cutting you off in the middle, and putting you in a realm of more kaleidoscopic, more shifting emotions, more possibility. For me, it feels a little like you went from a sepia-toned thing to technicolor in the course of that song. That's a little bit on the simple side, but that's the kind of thing that comes to mind. It creates a feeling, that possibility of an emotional response in that moment--not an emotional response, hopefully, in a manipulative way, as that's not the goal either--allowing that story to unfold. That's as best as I can say it.

SILY: What went into the sequencing of the record? Was the process at all different from previous records?
AP: The process was just as obsessive and trying to create story with a sequence, as well, and simultaneously doing math because of vinyl. I was working on different sequences for a long time. This is the first Little Big record I don't wish we had done the sequence differently. The previous two records, I have strong feelings that I screwed up the sequence of it. I feel pretty strongly that this sequence is right. "Flyways" is the only way that the record can start. We tried a version that started with "Delusions", and it felt like a beatdown. To be perfectly frank, if I had a do-over, I wouldn't have picked "Delusions" as the lead single. Instead, it would be something even less representative of the record as a whole but very colorful and at the heart of the record, [like] "Little Beginnings".
[Though] "Flyways" for me works at the very beginning, there was something about it that felt a little bit too in common with the [opening song of the] second Little Big record, ["Attention, Earthlings"]. It felt a little bit like we were retreading familiar ground. The tunes are similar and different. They are both odd meter songs with tonal centers separated by a minor third. That's a lot. From there on, though, once [you] get into the heart of the record, each song as it comes along, you didn't see it coming but also feel that it was inevitable.
SILY: That's a common quality among my favorite records. Once I listen to it through all the way once, anything else wouldn't fit.
AP: Exactly. It was a puzzle putting this thing together and making it fit. The record is 42 minutes long, and we got it to 21 minutes each side, single vinyl. I was really happy we got it as short as we did, especially because the first two records were a bit on the bloated side. Single vinyl felt like the distillation. [David]'s tune "Little Beginnings" [is] right in the center of the record, I had asked him to write something for the band, and he wrote it right before we went into rehearsals. I can't imagine the record without it. It really does an important thing harmonically that adds a wider palate than the rest of the record has and showcases the chemistry of the band in real time, in a really special way.
Sequence is really interesting, and I'm glad you asked about it. It's something I put almost too much thought into. When the time is right, I will probably remix Little Big II and put it out again, because we did it in a hurry just before the pandemic. I'd like to put it out again with some bonus material, a different mix, and a different sequence. We didn't quite nail it.

frankcore august 2024 update!!
already more than halfway through september lmfao i suck at this. regardless, here's some musics! this time around there's a Lot of art pop and trip hop related projects, fair few bits of electronic here and there, as well as some tracks in the more experimental end of hip hop and some more guitar-centric stuffs.
in regards to art pop (and other adjacent pop styles, sort of): jenny hval's moving, literally larger-than-life euphoria on spells, martha skye murphy with need and its more solemn and slowly enveloping atmospheres, the ever experimental hakushi hasegawa with a cut of his latest project featuring dizzying blends of jazz, pop and psychedelia, and jessica pratt stealing the show on an a$ap rocky track of all places to be featured in. as for the rest of the pop and r&b on the list: tinashe presenting an ambient-esque r&b piece somewhat in the line of oklou's galore, your-favourite-artists-favourite-vocalist cecile believe's soaring synthpop, strange blends of laidback r&b and pop vocals with latin-american soundscapes and some electronic touches courtesy of argentinian producer / vocalist moro, a cut off mag bay's newest project (solid! not my favourite from theirs but i'm more partial towards their shorter-form material anyway), and a great cut of dnb-infused k-pop from bebe yana.
the trip hop and downtempo related cuts here come from firstly james k and hysterical love project, both of them bringing curious blends of trip hop and ambient pop as well as some more influences from dream pop in the case of the hlp track; ms ray's signs in comparison is a bit cheerier, taking a bit more of inspiration from sophisti-pop and the sunnier side of downtempo, similar in a way to avalon emerson's sandrail silhouette, which is also a great track. on the other end of the spectrum, jabu and chester giles deliver a very nocturnal and dubby piece built mostly on giles' spoken poetry laid atop the somber, looming sample loops. the rest of the electronic sounds here are somewhat varied: a sickeningly short burst of "rally house" courtesy of aesthetic-extraordinaire and extremely versatile producer nuphory, a classic ukg cut from todd "the god" edwards complete with his signature micro vocal chops and rolling grooves, a distorted, club ready flip of sugababes' 2000s hit "round round" courtesy of uk-bass-sensation-that's-sweeping-the-nation duo two shell, a delightfully catchy and satisfying footwork banger from underground producer username, and jazzy and glitchy drum and bass sounds from xploding plastix.
in terms of hip hop, we've got poppy yet aggressive delivery from slayyyter and tommy genesis atop hard-hitting trap knocks, a bouncy, speaker rattling, hyphy-esque beat from ivy lab, and nana フリーク版 by chilean artist akriila, off of her debut album epistolares, which has solidified as a very close second to brat as my album of the year, partly because of cuts like the above mentioned, an extremely hard-hitting industrial hip hop banger (in a way, similar to iglooghost's coral mimic also from this year) with a defiant edge to the lyricism and delivery. i really could've picked pretty much any track from that record, it's that good imo, check it out if a varied ride consisting of club-ready perreo, poppier sounds of drum and bass and even some chilean folk for good measure sounds like a thing you'd be into.
to wrap up, the things i haven't mentioned yet: a curious blend of baggy-esque indie rock with r&b vocal delivery from tama gucci (artist whom i've always adored their voice and whose output is super underrated imo), classic midwest emo with a bit of a twee edge from everyone asked about you, dreamy hypnagogic pop from chanel beads with a bit of a similar vibe to the mica levi track from last week, and the third single off fontaines dc's romance (much like mag bay's album, it's pretty solid, though i feel like it dips a bit in quality by the second half, aside from the closer ofc).
tube it!!
