(It was Benny’s birthday the other day, and seeing as he’s SINdy’s best friend, I decided to write up a little one-shot for it.
Please note that this takes place AFTER SINdy and Sammy escape the studio and are trying to return to a normal life, so SINdy’s mother is here and he’s got his memories back of having been Sinclair Lawrence. If you have any questions, the ask box is always open.
Summery: Sinclair decides to surprise his best friend with his first attempt at baking, hopefully he likes it!
Warning: post-escape content, so very minor spoilers, but then again the timeline on this blog is all over the place
Benny the Stitched Demon belongs to @fullmetaldevil-blog while SINdy/Sinclair the Wandering Demon and Confessional the Sin Eater belong to me, trashboatprince, while Juliet Lawrence belongs to pretty much both of us
On with the fic!)
--
The loud banging of pots and pans were was stirred Sammy and Juliet from their sleep, which could only mean two things. One, someone broke into their own, or two, their son was up to something.
The latter was the most likely answer and Sammy groaned, getting out of bed to check.
He stumbled into the kitchen, waking up completely as he found the room a mess. It was like something from a cartoon, and considering the figure who was at the counter, that made a lot of sense. He found Sinclair, in his human form, stirring away at a mixing bowl, covered in flour and chocolate powder, having no idea that he was being watched.
“Sin, what the heck are you doing?” He asked, watching the boy nearly jump two feet in the air. Golden, pupil-less eyes looked over at him and the boy smiled, gesturing to his always-present sign, propped up against the coffee maker nearby.
*Today’s Benny’s birthday! I decided that this year I’m gonna make him a cake! I already let him mom know I was gonna do that, but he has no idea!* The sign’s demonic ink writing said while Sinclair looked rather proud of himself.
Juliet peeked over her husband’s shoulder, eyes wide at the mess, before noticing the sign’s writing. “Oh... oh, sweetie, maybe you should have asked before getting into stuff.”
Sinclair blinked, looking around at the mess. Flour was everywhere, he had dropped two eggs, and he had pulled out a lot of pots and pans while looking for the cake pan. *How come?* The sign read. *I didn’t wanna wake you guys up and I wanted to try this on my own! I’ve helped Mrs. Connor a few times, and even Grandpa Gingie’s let me help, but I wanted to try on my own for Benny!*
“And that’s fine, but you... should still ask, especially since you know you’re not supposed to mess with the stove.” Sammy sighed, running a hand through his hair.
Sinclair seemed to consider this, getting down from his step stool, looking sheepish as he approached with his sign. *Am I in trouble? I promise I’ll clean up the mess!*
“You’re not in trouble,” Juliet gave him a tired smile, “but you really should ask first. Come on, let’s finish this up and then we can clean up while it bakes. Are you following the instructions?”
This made the demonic boy blink. *Instructions?*
--
After making a second attempt at the cake, in which Sinclair learned that you actually needed to follow a recipe instead of trying to go off of memories of different recipes from different people, the chocolate cake was baking in the oven.
The boy ignored Confessional’s comments in his head about having warned him to look through the cookbooks on the counter before making any attempt at baking. He thought he had it handled, but apparently he had a lot of learning to do!
Like right now, as he watched his mother preparing a raspberry spread for the cake. She had told him that it was a tasty bonus to an already delicious treat, and having filled two cake pans, this would keep the two layers together.
A quick change from human to toon had Juliet finding her son looking like a Bendy knock-off, happily sitting on the now-clean countertop, watching her as she mixed the spread. It was still taking some getting use to, even after a few months, but she loved SINdy as much as she loved Sinclair, which was a lot, considering this was still her boy, it was just... a bit alarming at times.
“So, how are you going to give him the cake, isn’t he in another universe?” She asked as she set the bowl aside and moved to work on making the frosting, letting him help measure out the chocolate for it.
*I’m gonna personally deliver it to him!* SINdy’s sign read as he grinned proudly. *He’s got some stuff coming up on Halloween that’s also for his birthday, I think more stuff is happening then, but I want to give him this today!*
“Do you know what he has planned?”
*Nope! It’s a surprise! It always is, and I love it!* SINdy’s grin grew. Juliet was aware of Benny, having met him a few times since her lost husband and son returned to her life. He was... interesting, a living doll who also looked like Bendy, but not.
He was just as childish as Sinclair, and the two were clearly close. She didn’t really know his whole story, outside of SINdy once explaining that he had his own studio he was locked inside of and suffered years in there as well, but he escaped with his own Tom and Allison and was happily living with them.
Juliet was just happy her boy had a friend, back when he was a living human thirty years ago, he had wasn’t good with other kids. Being a selective mute didn’t help, and now with his lack of voice and relying on a demonic sign... well, it was still troublesome, but he clearly had made friends in other universes! That had to count for something.
The cakes finished and the singer had the demon help her set them aside to cool. “Now, once they’re cooled down enough, we can put on the spread and the frosting. Then you can go bring it to him, but for now, why don’t you got wash up and play.”
SINdy smiled and jumped from the counter, his form changing back to Sinclair, still covered in flour and chocolate powder as he happily ran off to get cleaned up for the day.
Juliet smiled, watching him leave the kitchen before she let out a sigh. It’s been a few months, but it was still going to take a lot of time to get use to the fact that her once-dead son was back and was now a demon of sorts.
An hour later found Sinclair in the kitchen, carefully using a frosting bag to decorate the cake as best as he could. Despite having spent a while running around with no arms and only floating hands, he still was a bit unsteady with his artistic skills.
Leaning back, he grinned brightly, rubbing a bit at some of the ink leaking from his eye at his little drawing. He had made an attempt at drawing Benny on the cake, which wasn’t easy with frosting, but the gesture was obvious. It had HAPPY BIRTHDAY written on it and some of the blank space was occupied by star patterns and the like.
“Looks good.” Sammy commented as he peeked over his son’s shoulder. “Now, don’t run with that, don’t want all yours and your mom’s hard work to go to waste.”
*I got it!* Sinclair nodded, getting off the stool he had been standing on and grabbed for the dish cover Sammy had gotten down from a shelf for him. He was gonna have to be very, very careful, it was glass!
He put the cover on the cake, smiling proudly as he took the dish off the counter, standing in the middle of the kitchen. He looked at Sammy and Juliet, seeing the nervous looks on their faces. With a roll of his eyes, he held out the dish and hands appeared from thin air, his mother jumping at the sudden apparition.
In Sinclair’s transformation into SINdy was still shocking, the appearance of the demon Samael, or Confessional as Sinclair called him, was something she would never get use to. She tensed up, watching as a figure appeared out of nowhere, a bit of smoke coming from the human-looking figure.
“I’ll hold onto it for him, better I do it than him, what with his rough landings.” Confessional smirked, dark eyes looking at the boy who stuck his tongue out at him.
Sinclair turned back to his parents, pouting a little, before giving a wave. *Be back soon!*
A dark puddle of ink formed under the two demons and they sunk into it, the puddle vanishing without a trace when they entered the inky blackness.
--
The landing was better than expected, SINdy tumbled out of the wall of Benny’s hut, landing on the pillows under it with a little grace still intact. Confessional stepped out without any problems.
*I’m getting better.* SINdy huffed, dusting himself off as he took the cake from his companion demon, who only chuckled as he vanished into a whisp of smoke.
Whatever you say, kid. Now, off you go, you have a cake to deliver.
SINdy smiled as he remembered why he was here and left the hut, making his way to the backdoor. He set the cake down and knocked on the door. It took only a few moments before the door was answered and he was looking up at Tom.
“Oh, hey, SINdy.” Tom greeted with a small smile. “Looking for Benny?”
SINdy nodded and Tom called for the plush demon over his shoulder. There was a muffled reply from somewhere else in the home and Tom turned back to the demon in front of him. “He’ll be with you in a second.”
It didn’t take long before SINdy spotted his best friend, rushing towards the backdoor. “SINdy!” Benny greeted, stepped past Tom to give him a hug. “Wasn’t expecting you today!”
SINdy happy returned the hug as best as he could before pulling back. *Of course I’d be by! It’s your birthday, and I’ve got you something!*
Benny blinked, before a big grin came to him. “You got me something? What is it?”
Holding up a finger, SINdy moved and lifted up the dish, his hands holding it above their heads do Benny couldn’t peek at it. Tom moved aside to let them in, getting what SINdy was trying to do, watching as the two toons moved towards the kitchen table. SINdy set the dish down on it and gestured to it.
Quickly, his form changed to Sinclair and he motioned for Benny to get closer. “Happy birthday, Benny.” He said in a very quiet, raspy voice. It was extremely rare for the boy to speak, considering the damage done to his throat, but he considered this a good time to use his voice, after all, it was a special day!
“Aw, thanks, Sin!” Benny grinned, going in for another hug before looking at the covered treat, gasping. “A cake! You got me a cake!”
*Correction:* Sinclair’s sign read, *I made you a cake! Well, Mom and I made it, but still! Chocolate and homemade raspberry spread!*
“No way!” Benny’s eyes widened, practically shining. “Tom, can we have some of this now?”
Tom, who had been standing nearby, chuckled. “I’ll ask Allison first, no getting into it until we know what she has to say.”
“Okay.” The plush demon nodded, still looking excited, and a wee bit peckish as the tasty treat before it. “Haha, did you draw me? Your artistic skills have improved, you captured my good side!”
He got a snort from the boy next to him. *It’s a talent!*
It didn’t take long for both Connors to return and Allison was holding a camera. She smiled, getting her son and his friend in close to take a picture of them with the cake. “Alright,” she said, looking at the photo, “you can have a slice, but don’t eat it all at once.”
The boys looked ecstatic as Tom moved to cut the cake for them, each one getting a good size piece. It didn’t take them long to dig right into it, both enjoying the delicious treat.
When they finished, the two went out to play for a bit before it was time for Sinclair to go home.
“I’ll be seeing you for Halloween, yeah?” Benny asked, rocking back and forth on his feet, still giddy from the surprise visit and cake.
*Of course!* Sinclair nodded. *Got my costume ready and everything! And if we time things right, we can trick or treat in my universe!*
“Let’s do that! Double the treats!”
*Yes! We can talk more later, but I gotta head home.* He opened the portal on the wall, looking back at his friend, his grin wide and true. *Happy birthday, Benny! Can’t wait to celebrate more of it with you!*

It’s a bit late, but I hit a little roadblock with writing it, haha.

A Bendy and the Ink Machine and Good Omens Crossover (Chapter 1)
(I felt inspired to write the scenario in this roleplay brought up in this ask. I’m not sure how many chapters there’ll be; it probably won’t be a lot. I’m super nervous to post this for some reason! We’ll see how this goes!)
(Warnings: None)
Joey was halfway through writing his first name when he chucked his pencil at the far wall and dropped his head onto his desk, shutting his eyes. He opened them after a few seconds to let them travel slowly up the stack of papers next to him. He made a face of dismay, mustache bristling angrily.
“So much work…” he groaned quietly to himself, closing his eyes again. Maybe he could just will it all to be done. If he thought really hard, it would all be complete and he could do something far less mind-numbingly dull. When he cracked an eye open, the paper hadn’t budged and somehow seemed larger than before. Heaving a sigh, he lifted his head off the desk, noticing where he’d signed as “Jo” on the paper he’d been going over.
He couldn’t possibly be expected to do all of this. That was just plain inhumane. I need help…
He dismissed the thought as soon as it entered his mind. Everyone in the studio was working double-time to meet the next deadline. If he pulled someone to come help him, some part of the next cartoon would inevitably suffer. No, that could never be allowed to happen.
Perhaps one of his cartoon children could help. Joey’s face brightened then dimmed. Neither Bendy, Boris, or Alice could read or write fluently. Plus, they’d all become distracted within the first minute of helping; reading over reports and signing papers wasn’t exactly the kind of fun a toon went for.
He was truly on his own. Unless…
Now here was an idea!
He could summon a demon to help him!
Joey leaped to his feet and started to pull open the drawers of his desk, withdrawing his ritual book, some candles, and an inkwell and brush. Why hadn’t he thought of this before? A demon could read any sort of contract in seconds and forge any signature. He’d be done in no time!
Humming happily to himself, Joey got to work drawing the pentagram and setting the candles just so. He flipped through his book and found the passage on summoning a low level demon. No need for any major evil entities; those could be quite a handful.
Joey started to recite the chant, realizing too late a blob of ink had landed on a few of the words. Panicking, he improvised what he wanted to say, hoping his Latin was up to snuff.
I summon thee, demon of the highest level. (He said highest because the highest level of Hell belongs to the least evil of the lot. The lowest levels are where the really bad folks go. It was something he’d learned the hard way.)
The circle began to glow red hot, and Joey backed away quickly, hoping against hope whatever came out wouldn’t incinerate him on the spot. There was a whoosh as red hot Hellfire erupted upward. Joey felt his blood run cold despite the heat. That was definitely a bad sign.
He could see the vague figure of a demon in the middle of the inferno. They were tall, much taller than Joey. As the flames died down, the summoner was able to ascertain more details about what he had summoned.
The demon’s hair was as red as the flames lapping at it and stylishly slicked back from his forehead. For a second, Joey thought the gaping black circles on his face were his eyes, but on second glance could see they were sunglasses. The demon wore a full black suit, complete with a gray tie. His hands were stuffed in his pockets but withdrew to steady their owner as he adjusted to his new surroundings. Then he was straightening from the slight slouch he was in and locking eyes with Joey.
Joey held his breath and clutched his ritual book to his chest. Should I call for help? Maybe if I move fast enough I’ll make it to the door. Is this a high-ranking demon? Oh boy, I’ve really put my foot in it now.
The demon stepped out of the circle as the last of the flames died away. He eyed Joey up and down from behind his glasses, sizing him up.
Joey felt he should say something, “Uh…”
“Where am I?” the demon interrupted. He had what Joey believed to be an English accent.
“You’re in Joey Drew Studios.”
The demon rolled his hand, motioning for him to continue, “And that would be in…”
“Oh! New York… in the United States of America!”
The demon threw his head back to sigh loudly, “Of course! It had to be across the blasted ocean!”
He faced forward again and slouched into a more relaxed stance, not at all putting Joey at ease, “Look, I don’t do the whole ‘selling your soul’ thing, alright? And I’m not going to do you any demonic favors, so you can go right ahead and send me back.”
Joey blinked, “Well, uh, okay, Mister…”
“Crowley.” Crowley supplied through gritted teeth.
“...Crowley, I’ll see what I can do, but I don’t think I’ll be able to get the portal up and running right away.”
“And why is that?” Crowley asked after a beat, taking one menacing step forward. Joey took one step back and met with the wall. He pressed his back against it and tried for a reassuring smile.
“I can’t do a ritual immediately after finishing another one. I need time to recharge!”
“You look well enough to me.” the demon said.
“Yes, well, I’ve had practice. But it is always harder to send demons back than to summon them, especially one from so far away a place as… England, right?”
“How long will this recharging take?”
Joey pondered for a few seconds, “I don’t think it should take more than an hour, plus a few extra minutes to get the summoning circle back in order. You’ll be home in no time!”
“I’d better be.” Joey gulped at those ominous words.
“Yeah, uh, sorry again about all this. I just wanted a lesser demon to help me with some paperwork. Not that you’re lesser!” Joey hastened to add, “I just, um… said the wrong words…”
Crowley raised an eyebrow, “You wanted me to help with your... paperwork?”
“Not you! Some demon, yes.” Joey nodded to the stack on his desk, “It was becoming really boring.”
Crowley followed his gaze then turned back to him, ”Let me get this straight: you summoned a demon from Hell to assist you with office work?”
Joey nodded, “Yup!”
The sunglasses on Crowley’s face started to slip down his nose, enough for Joey to see slit-pupiled, yellow eyes underneath. The demon readjusted them and shook his head, “Usually people want me to give them a paper that they sign.”
Joey waved the notion aside, “Oh, I did that a long time ago. Feel free to roam the studio while I get everything back in order! He slapped a hand to his face, “Oh, silly me! You don’t even know what this studio’s for, do you?”
“No, and I don’t care.”
Joey ignored him. Generally, ignoring a demon was not a wise course of action, but Joey tended to get excited when talking about his beloved studio.
“This here’s an animation studio! We create state of the art cartoons for your viewing pleasure. Our title character is even a demon!” Joey gestured to one of the posters on his wall. Crowley gave it a once over then turned back.
“Not really into cartoons.”
Joey gasped loudly, “Not into cartoons?! That’s probably only because you haven’t seen one of ours before. I’ll have to have one of my employees show one to you, or, er, I guess they are all pretty busy…”
Crowley sighed, “Look, I don’t care about this little cartoon empire of yours. I’ve got a lot of work to do myself, back in London. I need you to send me back as soon as possible. Are we clear on that?”
Joey sagged in disappointment but still nodded.
“Perfect. I’m gonna go for a stroll, and when I come back in an hour’s time, I expect the portal to be ready.” The demon snapped his fingers and the door to Joey’s office flung open. Giving Joey one last commanding look, he sauntered out, the door slamming behind him.
Joey noticed he’d kept an iron tight grip on his ritual book and relinquished it now, letting it flop on his desk. He collapsed into his chair and again looked at the stack of paperwork. If it wasn’t for the circle still painted on his floor, Joey might have thought he’d imagined everything.
Alright, now to figure this out. Joey hadn’t been entirely truthful with Crowley. He did need time to recharge, yes, but the summoning had been fairly simple and he would have been okay to perform another ritual when he’d been asked. There was just the simple problem of Joey being not entirely sure what he’d done the first time. The ink blot on the page had forced him to recite Latin on the spot. He had a rough idea of what he’d said, but it had clearly backfired, seeing as how who he’d summoned was definitely not a lesser demon and definitely not one to be trifled with.
It’ll be fine, he told himself, You’ve got this!
For his own sake, he hoped he was right.

FOWL Facets- Chapter 7
Summary: Domino and Loony finally meet up with Liquidator and find Steelbeak..along with something else they never would have expected.
Notes: Forewarning for a bit of “body horror” in this part. If any of you have ever seen Steven Universe before, then you probably have an idea of what to expect- nothing OVERLY graphic, but mostly just a lot of unpleasant imagery.
-First Chapter-
Domino and Loony stand at the entrance to the water palace, looking up at the grand double-doors as they wait for entry. Domino still has their prisoner’s gem bubbled in his hand and he keeps a tight grip on it- he doesn’t know what’s going to happen next, but, according to Gandra’s predictions, at some point he’ll lose their bargaining chip and he wants to make sure that doesn’t happen until they have Steelbeak safe and secured.
Without even needing to knock, the doors swing inward to let them in. As the pair of gems venture inside, they get to fully take in the décor. For all of its size and elaborate architecture on the outside, the inside is mostly just a single large room. Granted, the room is tastefully decorated and furnished with ornate pillars and artistic sculptures, a variety of chairs along the edges of the room, and, in the center, a large rectangular table with three chairs on the end closest to the entrance and one large chair on the opposite end.
And every last bit of it is made of ice and water.
To most people, such a spectacle would be considered beautiful. Domino, on the other hand, knows better. Gandra was right in her earlier assessment of the building- Liquidator was just using it as a way to flex his figurative muscles and remind them (mostly Domino) of how powerful he truly is. Sadly, it’s working…
“Liqui?” Loony calls out to the seemingly empty room around them while looking around. “Steely?”
The “floor” near the table ripples and, within seconds, a familiar gem rises up out of the water.
The gemstone itself is the only thing that can still be considered familiar about the other man, Domino soon notices, as Liquidator has changed drastically since the last time he saw him: Rather than the buff, intimidating physique he previously used, he looks smaller- the harsh look he had before softened and smoothed out to something more friendly and approachable with scruffier ears and a brighter smile. His outfit has changed as well- instead of the elegant uniform he once wore, he now wears a simpler and far more casual high-collared sapphire blue sleeveless shirt with an arctic blue star on the front and dark oxford blue pants with a belt that looks like braided strands of ice with a solid ice-rose for a buckle. When he opens his eyes to look at them properly, both gems are surprised to see that his right eye seems to have been unnaturally split into two overlapping pupils with the top one being two shades lighter than his normal eye color, the bottom one being two shades darker, and, in the area where they overlap in the middle, the small semi-circle is the same, regular color as his other, unchanged eye.
“Ah, Loony, it’s been far too long!” He looks at her with a bright smile, stretching his hand over to hers in a familiar greeting. “How’s the most fun spinel in the universe doing? Inquiring minds are dying to know!”
Loony returns the smile, stretching her arm over to his and winding their equally bendy arms around each other before their hands meet for a quick high-five. “Hiya, Liqui! I’m great!” Her arm returns when the “handshake” ends and she looks the lapis lazuli over from head to foot (well, puddle, more accurately). “You look so different now!”
Liquidator chuckles, clearly enjoying the spinel’s familiar cheerful attitude. “I’m the new and improved Liquidator- now softer and 85% more marketable than the classic version. Oh, but where ARE my manners?” He pulls one of the chairs back for her and does a sweeping hand gesture towards it. “Please, have a seat!”
Loony giggles as she sits in the offered chair. “Thanks, Liqui!”
After pushing her chair in, Liquidator finally greets his other “guest”. His smile doesn’t falter for a moment, but the joy in his voice is more of a sharp, hollow-mockery compared to how he spoke with Loony. “Domino…good to see you’re still the same 100% original product that I remember.”
Domino chooses to ignore the less than subtle jab about him apparently being the same as he was 4,000 years ago. “Why mess with a classic?” He pulls his own chair out and takes a seat as well, his eyes never leaving the canine. “Now, if you’re done pretending this is a friendly visit, can we please get to the matter at hand?” He holds up the bubbled melanite in indication. “I believe you wanted to do a hostage exchange?”
Liquidator doesn’t look surprised at all to see the darker gem in the bubble. “I had a feeling he wouldn’t be able to sell you on his performance.” He moves over to the lone seat on the other side of the table and takes his place in it comfortably. “So, what did he do to get bubbled?”
Loony gives Liquidator a slightly embarrassed smile and waves one of her hands shyly. “Sorry, Liqui, that was me. I kiiiiiiiiiiinda lost my temper and squeezed him a teensy-weensy bit too hard.”
Liquidator gives her a reassuring smile in return. “Let me guess- he called you Domino’s spinel, didn’t he?” At a nod from the spinel in question, he sighs and shakes his head. “My apologies- I should have warned him not to do that.” He stretches his arm across the table and holds his hand out expectantly to Domino. “Now, simply hand him over and we can-”
Domino moves the hand holding the bubbled gem away from the stretched out limb, leaning back in his chair so that the hand holding it is now over the floor rather than the table. “Not until we know that Steelbeak is still in one piece.”
Liquidator’s hand snaps back over to his chest as he gasps, looking at the snowflake obsidian with an over-exaggerated look of surprise. “Why, Domino, are you doubting my honor as a businessman?!” When his over-acting gains no reaction from the other gem, Liquidator sighs and flicks his fingers in an upward gesture. “Fine, fine, I suppose it’s only fair for both parties to inspect the merchandise before bartering.” The floor beside the aquatic gem begins to ripple as it did when he entered earlier, a pointed block of ice slowly rising out of the water.
Unfortunately, while they’re both distracted looking at the floor across the room, neither Domino nor Loony see the shifting floor behind them. Before either of them even have time to notice it, the shift in the floor gets closer to Domino and a pair of hands reach out of the water, snatching the bubbled melanite and quickly bringing it down into the floor.
“Woah, what was that?!” Loony stares at the floor behind Domino, surprise clear on her face as she tries to sit up and see a trace of what happened.
Domino looks down to the floor, and the quickly vanishing bubble, with an irritated glare. There went their bargaining chip.. “So much for a fair trade.” He turns his glare across the table towards Liquidator.
“Sorry, you know how third-party vendors are- always so quick to take their payment and leave.” Liquidator shrugs, but never loses his easy salesman-pitch or poker-face smile. “I told his friends I’d guarantee his safe return, but I guess they just couldn’t wait.” He averts his gaze to the object rising up beside him. “But, I am a gem of my word, so here- signed, sealed, and delivered at no extra charge!”
The ice block finishes rising out of the floor all the way, revealing Steelbeak completely frozen and immobile inside. The position he’s stuck in makes it look like he was in the process of fighting back, his hands still positioned as they would be if he were holding his tommy-gun while his legs gave the impression he’d been stepping backwards. Liquidator tries to continue whatever he was saying before, but a pair of striped arms suddenly reaching across the room stops him.
Loony wraps her arms around Steelbeak’s frozen prison a few times before she pulls and snaps the ice block off at the base. “I got him, Dommy!” She rapidly retracts her arms to bring the other gem closer and sets the large chunk of ice down between herself and Domino.
“Well done, Loony.” He tells her before summoning one of his pistols from his gem and pointing it at his partner. The barrel turns a light orange color as flames shoot out, melting the ice almost instantly. Once enough of it is melted, he turns his attention back to Liquidator, the gun vanishing. “Now that we have what we came for, we’ll be on our way.”
Liquidator, to Domino’s displeased surprise, doesn’t look bothered at all about losing the melanite. He seems frustratingly calm about the whole thing as he leans back in his chair with another casual shrug. “Nine out of ten gem-physicians agree: Steelbeak’s not in any shape to leave just yet.”
“What are you-?” Domino starts to ask, but is soon distracted when he sees Steelbeak fall to his knees out of the corner of his eye. “Steelbeak?” He looks down at the other gem and his eyes widen as he finally gets a good look at his partner.
He’s on his knees with one hand braced against the floor to keep from falling over. With the ice gone, they can now see that his colors are duller than usual and, when he manages to look up at them with a clearly pained expression on his face, they see his eyes are a glassy grey with no pupils or irises. “H…Hey, snowflake…Hey, stretch…you…ya sure took your time, didn’t ya..?” Steelbeak’s words are clipped, his voice strained. He manages to lift himself up for a moment, but is forced back down when a tremor of pain wracks his body, causing his free hand to clutch at his gemstone while the light making up his body flickers.
The action draws his teammates’ eyes to Steelbeak’s gem and, even if they only see it for a moment, they both notice the large, splintered crack in the normally pristine black rock.
“Steely!” Loony’s crouching down at his side instantly, looking extremely worried for the melanite’s well-being. “Are you okay?!”
Domino, on the other hand, is unable to move for a minute. He stares down at his partner of more than 8,000 years, his mind caught between shock at seeing the normally strong rooster brought to his knees and concern for the amount of pain the other gem is clearly suffering through. Eventually, though, the shock and concern merge together with something far stronger: Protective fury.
Directing that fury at the only one in the room deserving of it, Domino summons both of his guns from his gem and points them at Liquidator. “You CRACKED him?!” He fires anything and everything at his disposal, the barrels of his signature weapons turning a myriad of colors as he fires shot after shot at the lapis lazuli- orange for a burst of flames, icy blue for freezing ice bullets, bright yellow for sparking electrified rounds, dark blue for streams pressurized water, bright white for a blinding white flare, green for a shot of sticky slime, purple for a cloud of toxic gas, translucent white for bullets made of compressed air, and classic black for regular lead bullets.
Liquidator is once again unfazed by the change in atmosphere and, with nothing more than a simple raise of his hand, he easily brings up an entire wall of water in front of him that blocks each and every shot that’s sent his way. He waits until Domino’s calmed down enough- or rather, until he’s realized how futile his attacks are in this situation and begrudgingly stops firing- before looking at the loon with a bored expression. “Are you done yet?”
“…….” Even though his attack has stopped, the anger in Domino’s eyes has not lessened one bit.
“Good.” The wall of water recedes, Liquidator apparently confident that Domino won’t try anything else for the time being. “Now, that that’s over, please understand that I really DID call you here just to talk.”
“Talk?” Domino’s guns disappear and he leans forward over the table, his empty hands coming down to grip the icy furniture in a crushing grip that cracks the edges a little. “You kidnapped my partner, cracked him, and sent an impostor to lure me into a trap. I have nothing to say to you.” Just like all those years ago, if looks alone could kill then Liquidator’s gem would have exploded from the barely restrained fury in those glaring red eyes.
The lapis lazuli sighs with a roll of his own mismatched eyes. “All of which could have been 100% avoidable if Steelbeak just listened to me when I told him to call you over. Instead, he decided to throw out petty insults, fight me, and even deactivated his beacon so you couldn’t track him, when all I wanted was a friendly chat.”
“Hmph, ‘friendly’ he says..” Steelbeak’s voice maintains its usual amount of sarcasm despite the pain he’s in as Loony helps him up into one of the chairs. He keeps his hand on his gem, sending a weakened glare across the table at their “host”. “Last time we saw ya, ya walked out on us, shackled me, stabbed me, and threatened t’ break us if we came anywhere near ya…forgive me if I was less than willin’ t’ call my partner int’ a trap.”
“……” That, at least, made Liquidator look away briefly with an expression that seemed marginally guilt-ridden. “I won’t apologize for what I did or how I left.” He finally says with a sigh before looking back across the table at the other gems. “But..just know that I am not the same gem that I was back then.”
“Clearly.” Domino’s voice is dripping with equal parts venom and sarcasm. “After all, the old you would’ve- what were your words again? Oh, right-” He narrows his eyes, quietly seething as he paraphrases the lapis lazuli’s parting words back to him. “- ‘broken him and made me watch the whole thing’.”
Liquidator sighs again, this time in frustration as he drags one hand down his face. “I really didn’t want it to come to that..” He holds his hands up in a gesture meant to show no harm, though it isn’t quite as meaningful given their current surroundings and the gem’s earlier display. “Listen, all I want is ten minutes of your time. If you agree to give me that, then I’ll make sure Steelbeak is able to leave here in better shape than he came in.”
Domino nearly refuses the offer, each second around the liquid lapis lazuli making his irritation grow. However, a look at his partner- at the pained look in his eyes as he struggles to remain upright, all while trying to keep his face as neutral as possible to hide his suffering and not appear as weak as he likely feels- is enough to make him reconsider.
“You get five minutes.” He sits back down, keeping his arms crossed to help resist the urge to shoot the other gem.
“A shrewd negotiator as always.” Liquidator’s earlier grin returns. “Fine, I’m flexible enough to change the terms and conditions- five minutes it is.” He begins to stretch his arm across the table towards Steelbeak. “And, just to show that I’m willing to keep my end of the bargain-”
Domino raises one of his hands and a barrier-bubble instantly appears around his partner (the flash of white also helping to hide the way the rooster flinched when he saw the approaching appendage- he must still be shaken up over what happened, he usually never flinches in the face of danger), preventing the watery hand from reaching its target. “What are you going to do?” He has no reason to trust Liquidator’s words, not at this point.
“As I said, I’m upholding my side of our agreement.” Liquidator explains. “This new form of mine isn’t just fashionable, it’s also quite functional- I’ve picked up some handy new tricks.”
Domino still doesn’t feel like the lapis lazuli’s words are worth anything- not after what he did to Steelbeak and what he’d threatened to do before- but a familiar presence at his side finally pulls his attention away from the blue gem. “Dommy..” He looks to his left and sees Loony standing next to him, but her eyes are on Liquidator as she speaks. “I don’t get any bad feelings from him…I think…I think he’s telling the truth.” She looks back down at Domino. “He really wants to fix Steely.”
Domino is still hesitant to trust Liquidator, given his track record.
……
…but, he does trust Loony’s judgement…
Reluctantly, he releases his barrier, giving the blue gem a warning glare. “If you try anything-”
“I won’t.” Liquidator reassures him, his hand moving the rest of the way to Steelbeak’s chest.
The melanite is more than a little hesitant to move his hand off of his gemstone, but, after looking to Domino and receiving a brief nod to confirm that he won’t let anything happen to him, he slowly pulls his hand away to reveal the cracked black stone beneath.
Liquidator places his hand against the stone and, to the surprise of the three darker gems, it begins to glow and shimmer as if sunlight were streaming through his palm. When his hand retracts, the melanite is as nearly-flawless as it was before.
Steelbeak looks down at his stone in surprise, his colors having regained their usual vibrancy and his eyes returned to normal. “Would ya look at that..?” He looks across the table to the watery gem. “Since when did you become part rose quartz?”
Liquidator grins in response, a few bubbles visible in his chest as a sign of quiet laughter. “It’s a long and dramatic tale involving a fusion-addicted jasper, some corrupted gems, my own far-too-close-for-comfort brush with corruption-” He taps the side of his head by his misshapen eye for indication. “-and a fountain of healing tears that became my new body to save my life.” He waves his hand dismissively and shakes his head. “But, that’s a tale for another day. For now, I have a different story that I believe you’ll find far more interesting.”
“Your five minutes starts now.” Domino informs him, glancing at his watch to confirm the time.
“Very well then, I’ll give you the quick sales-pitch version.” Liquidator moves a hand over the table and small, three-dimensional figures of himself, a sapphire that looks like he’s part plant and part duck, and a tall gem bearing two gemstones- one on its cheek and one on its chest- with the appearance of a duck crossed with a rodent that Domino hasn’t seen before all appear out of the water on the table’s surface. “I’ve been on this planet with my friends-”
“Ya mean that pathetic little sapphire of yours and the fusion?” Steelbeak interrupts him with a condescending smirk.
“Bushroot and Goldy.” Liquidator gives the melanite a warning growl, but puts on a falsely understanding smile. “I know it can be hard to remember who my real friends are, but I’ve found it gets easier with time.”
Steelbeak rolls his eyes at the cheap shot regarding their conversation when he left. “The fusion’s got a name now? Woooow, you sound so attached- next thing ya know you’re gonna tell us you’ve done it, too.” He laughs at the very idea of it, not noticing the smirk on Liquidator’s face until he speaks again.
“I have.” Liquidator’s smirk only grows when the melanite’s laughter stops suddenly and makes him stare in disbelief at the lapis lazuli. “A few times, actually. Bushroot and I have a lovely fusion that goes by Angelite.” He chuckles, not caring about the confused and/or mildly disturbed looks he’s receiving from the other gems. “Anyway, back to the matter at hand.” He gestures to the figures on the table once again. “I’ve been on this planet with my friends for a while now, and we’ve decided that we all enjoy the freedom we’re granted here. We’ve abandoned our respective places in the Diamonds’ hierarchy and chosen to live here on Earth instead.” His smile slowly turns into a frown as an image of the Earth rises out of the table. “Recently, though, we’ve found out about a Diamond project known as ‘the Cluster’.” The image of the Earth splits open to reveal a large, jagged mass of something in the center of the planet. “It’s an enormous cluster of gem shards in the planet’s core that, when activated, will turn the planet into a living geo-weapon for the Diamonds…and destroy everything on the planet’s surface in the process.”
“Tragic,” Domino’s tone and expression are both equally dead-pan, showing how little he cares for the billions of lives that will be lost. “However, what weapons the Diamonds create and what happens to you, your friends, and this planet, have nothing to do with us.”
“A week or two ago, I would have agreed with you…but these started popping up out of the ground..” Liquidator concedes before moving his hand again to create images that are, honestly, unsettling to look at: A group of gem creatures that look like forcefully mashed together body parts from various different types of gems and animals. They all have hollow, empty eyes on their mismatched faces and several of them have multiple limbs or random body parts growing out of the wrong places. “We’ve started calling these ‘mini-clusters’.” Liquidator explains with a troubled frown. “It looks like they were early prototypes and by-products of the Diamonds’ experiments for the cluster. They have no mental activity, no ability to recognize anything or anyone around them…all they do is scream in pain and attack anything in their way..” He dismisses the images on the table and raises his hand beside himself, causing the floor to ripple as a blue-bubbled holo-disk rises up into his waiting palm. “A few days ago, we fought one that stood out to me. One of our allies on this planet wears armor with a video recorder built into his helmet- he was able to capture a good image of it during our fight.” The bubble around the disk pops and he sets it on the table, the surface shifting as the disk is carried from his end of the table to theirs. “I couldn’t be certain since it’s been a few thousand years and I only saw the images once or twice..but…I want you to take a look at it and tell me if you see anything familiar.”
More than a little curious, Domino touches a button on the small device. It activates and projects a three-dimensional hologram above the disk showing another one of the “mini-clusters”.
Steelbeak glances at the hologram, having a side-view of it, before looking back at Liquidator. “So, lemme get this straight, drippy- ya put us through all this just t’ show us some mashed t’gether gems? Like Dom said, we ain’t involved in whatever the Diamonds got planned for this rock. Right, snowflake?” When he doesn’t receive an answer right away, he looks back to his partner. “Deedee..?”
“……” Domino still doesn’t answer the other gem. He’s too busy staring in wide-eyed disbelief at the image in front of him. Then, to his partner’s utter shock, a tear slowly falls from his eye and trails down the dark feathers of his cheek.
“Domino?” Steelbeak’s definitely concerned now. Domino’s a tough gem, he doesn’t break down easily or crack under pressure and he doesn’t cry over nothing- especially not when there’s other people around to see it. In the thousands of years they’ve been together, he’s only been allowed to see the loon shed tears twice before, and both times were related to the exact same thing…
“Dommy..Dommy, I don’t get it..” Loony seems just as surprised as Domino, but far more confused. She looks away from the hologram with a frown on her beak so that she can look at the other dark-feathered bird instead. “You said shattered means ‘gone forever’, right? But if it means ‘gone forever’, then how come he’s right there?”
Before the melanite can ask who she’s talking about, a single word, said in a broken voice brimming with confusion and despair, leaves his partner’s beak:
“…Chuck…?”
“What?!” Steelbeak’s eyes widen in surprise this time. “ ‘Chuck’? As in Checkers- your old partner?” He gets out of his chair and moves around behind Domino and Loony to get a better look at the hologram.
From his new angle, Steelbeak can see the “mini-cluster” in its entirety: It’s as horrifying of a mashed together amalgamation of gems as the ones they were shown before with more limbs than it should’ve had in various colors of fur and feathers. The face he’d seen from his side had been that of some white-feathered duck he’d never seen before. From the front, though, he can see the other side of its face is that of a male dog with dark fur and a gray muzzle. It even has the dog’s arm and shoulder connecting up to the rest of him through a small sliver of his neck- fragments of clothing such as a brown sleeve and matching fingerless glove still being worn on its body. If that wasn’t enough of a confirmation, the “mini-cluster”’s gemstone on its chest, which looked like it was a forcefully fused together mass of different colored and textured gem shards, had a rather prominent chunk of a black and red fire round-radiated cut opal visible on the same side as the dog’s face.
Domino can’t seem to tear his eyes away from the image in front of him. How long had it been since he’d seen that face in something other than the millennia old holo-disk pictures in his room? But..the face isn’t right- there are no traces of its usual bright smile and its usually vibrant eyes are gone, replaced with a single pitch-black hole devoid of any visible life or emotion it may have once held.
It’s honestly the most horrific thing he’s seen in his entire life…
“So, I was right..” Liquidator mutters quietly before looking across the table to the others again. “We thought that ‘the Cluster’ was just the Diamonds’ way of getting payback for what happened to Pink Diamond..but, from what I heard, Checkers was shattered thousands of years before the Earth was even picked for colonization and in a completely different solar system- that would mean that this plan was in the works long before Pink Diamond’s shattering, or even the early stages of the rebellion.”
Steelbeak seems to be the only one out of the trio able to find his words, reaching forward to turn off the hologram to not only give him a better view of the blue gem on the other side, but to give his partner a reprieve from the gruesome sight. “Why’d ya call us, Liq? And don’t say it’s just ‘cause ya wanted t’ tell us about this mess.”
Liquidator sighs, looking at the melanite with a more pleading expression than he can ever remember seeing on the lapis lazuli’s face before. “Because I need your help.” The gravity of the situation is not lost on Steelbeak- he knows how much the other gem hates asking for help, so it must be seriously bad if he’s saying it out loud. “I’m looking into this whole ‘Cluster’ experiment as much as I can from here, but there’s only so much I can do..not like you three with your freedom to travel from planet to planet or your extensive information network and resources back on homeworld. I knew that if anyone could unravel this mystery, it would be you.” He frowns a bit. “I know I don’t really have the right to ask for your help, not after what happened before..but this whole thing feels bigger than that- bigger than all of us- and it’s not something that any of us can piece together on our own.” His eyes shift down to look at Domino, the loon’s eyes staring ahead unseeingly. “Plus…now that you’ve seen that..I doubt you’d be able to ignore it anytime soon…”
Steelbeak glances back down at the snowflake obsidian as well, trying to keep his face neutral despite the clear concern in his gaze. “…….” Taking a deep breath, the taller gem looks back over to Liquidator. “What did ya have in mind?”
“A simple exchange of information.” Liquidator proposes. With a raising of his hand again, another bubble rises up out of the floor beside him. When he pops this one and slides it across the table, they’re able to see that this one is a personal communicator. “I’ll provide you with any information that we find over here about ‘the Cluster’ and its ‘mini-clusters’, and you can do the same. Oh…and..here…” With a sympathetic frown, he brings one final bubble up out of the floor. This one, however, he does not pop before sliding it down the table to them. “Consider it a gesture of goodwill…and for old times’ sake..”
The bubble he slides to them contains the mass of shards from the hologram that made up the “mini-cluster”’s horribly fused together gemstone.
Domino’s eyes finally move from their forward position, looking downward at the bubbled mass of shards. “……” Without a word, he picks up the bubbled “gem” and walks briskly to the exit, Loony following close behind him.
Steelbeak stares after him for a minute before turning back to Liquidator with a scowl. “That was a low blow, Liq.”
“Perhaps..” Liquidator shakes his head. “But desperate times call for desperate measures.”
“……” That answer only makes Steelbeak scowl at him with a scathing glare before he picks up the communicator and follows after the rest of his team. “We’ll be in touch.”
“That’s all I’m asking for.” Liquidator watches the last of the darker gems leave, the door slamming shut harshly behind him, before he lets out a tired, worn-out sigh and leans forward to rest his head against his hands where they’re braced on the table. “……I’m sorry..” Alone in his palace of ice and water now, the quietly spoken words echo and fade away into nothingness.

End Notes: Was Liquidator’s plan to show Domino and the others Checkers’ forced-fusion to make them intrigued enough to investigate it and the Cluster effective? Absolutely. Does he feel good about doing it? Not at all.
Like I said before, his relationship with Domino & Steelbeak is complicated and, even though  they left on bad terms and had a mutually manipulative and almost parasitic friendship, he DID still see them as his friends for a while. He knew that doing this would trigger a lot of Domino’s past trauma involving Checkers, but he also knew it would work. The decision to involve them was NOT an easy one and he wrestled with it for a while before finally deciding that he needed to do it to get their help. Sometimes you have to do things you don’t like to help those you care about, but it can be hard when those actions end up hurting others- even if you’re not that close to them.

(Yo.  Its been almost a year, Chapter 5 came out a couple weeks back, Squiggly was lookin’ for some stuff to read, and I missed this AU.  So have a little thing just talking about how scary change can be, but how necessary it is.  Not specific to Toon Henry, but using it as a setting becuase I’m (ironically) and creature of habit.  Here’s a link to a visual aid
https://squigglydigg.tumblr.com/post/166168062821/so-whatisthisnonsense-and-i-were-talking-a-little)
“Morning,” a tired man groaned his way down the stairs, still in mint green pajamas and rabbit slippers..
“Mornin’”, the cartoon character sitting on his couch, flipping through channels at a comedic speed, groaned in a similar fashion.
Henry Ross stretched a little, working out the kinks in his back and trying to wake himself up a little more.  “Where’s Alice and Boris?”
“Morning walk, the lunatics,” Bendy replied.
“Mmm,” was Henry’s only reply.  He wasn’t surprised.  Those two always did have an easier time getting up in the morning.  He was old and Bendy was… Bendy.  “How’d you sleep?”
“Dang storm kept me up.” The toon jerked a thumb upward, “Must be one heck of a bowling tournament goin’ on up there.”  In his groggy state, it took Henry a moment to realize Bendy was talking about Heaven.
“Yeah, must be,” he walked into the kitchen and looked in the fridge.  After a moment, he called back, “You eat yet?”
“Nope,” came the answer. Another thing that wasn’t surprising.
“I was thinking eggs and toast, sound good?”
“Ooh!  Can I help?”  The reply came from just on the other side of the fridge door.   Henry closed it just a little to find the toon with enormous, glistening eyes, and his hands folded next to his cheek, “Pleeeeease?”
“Sure, you can do the toast,” he replied bluntly.
Immediately the toon deflated… literally.  He just as quickly re-inflated with a nonplussed expression and an indignant puffing of his chest.  “The toast? What kind of amateur errand-boy do you take me for?”
“The kind that might still find a way to set something on fire.”  The toon’s track record in the kitchen was anything but spotless.
“You’ve got insurance,” Bendy verbally handwaved.
“And a fire extinguisher now on standby,” Henry countered.  It hadn’t been there two months ago.
With a final puff and dramatic sigh, the toon relented.  “Fine, I’ll do the stinkin’ toast.”  He grumbled his way past Henry to the breadbox and yanked the bag out.
With a chuckle, Henry took out the egg carton and looked at the time.  “When did they leave?”
“Around half past 7.” Bendy climbed up onto the counter and sat at the ready next to the toaster.
It was about 7:50 now, which meant they would probably be back soon.  “Did they eat?”  He looked over to Bendy, who shrugged.  Henry pursed his lips for a moment, then decided against making something for them just yet.  The eggs didn’t take long to make.  If they hadn’t, he could just make some when they got home.  With that decided, he put two frying pans on the stove and grabbed a mixing bowl.  A little bit of milk, four eggs, and some mixing later, the scrambled eggs were ready to be cooked.  He melted butter in the bottom of both pans and poured the egg and milk mix into one, then cracked the last two into the other.  “Alright, put the toast in.”
“Oui, mon capitaine,” Bendy saluted and pressed the lever down on the toaster.
Henry pursed his lips again, debating something for a moment, then nodded to himself.  “Hey, can you head to my office?  In the top drawer, there’s a folder with a couple sheets I want you to grab and bring back here.”
“Sure.”  Bendy hopped off and left the room.
“Don’t look at them until you’re back in here, alright?”
“Sure, sure, keepin’ yer secrets, I getcha,” Bendy called back.  In less than two minutes, he was back, carrying a folder full of papers. He set them on the kitchen table and waited patiently.  “Sure you’re not worried about getting’ grease on’em?”
“It’s fine, we’ll be careful.” He flipped his eggs and continued moving around the slowly solidifying batter for Bendy’s.  “Open it and look at the first sheet, tell me what you think.”
With a curious raise of the eyebrow, Bendy did as he was told.  What he saw caught him entirely off guard.  The first sheet was full of sketches, designs, even a fully colored image.  He, Boris, and Alice, all looking a far cry from themselves.  He was probably the most untouched.  His solid black form, head shape, and gloves were all intact, but his limbs were a bit thicker, his proportions a bit less stretchy, face less rounded, and his bowtie was yellow.  Boris and Alice had gotten a much more thorough treatment.  Boris was sporting dark brown fur, blue overalls, and a brand new ascot.  Alice was by far the most striking.  The black had been traded for white on the dress, red on her gloves and boots, and blonde in her hair.  “What’s all this?”  He finally asked.  “You applyin’ to Hanna-Barbera?”
Henry chuckled, flipping his eggs one more time and starting to scoop Bendy’s onto a plate.  “No, just throwing some things at the wall, seeing what sticks.”  The toast popped and Bendy took the opportunity to get a rest from the new designs.
“Why?”  He asked cautiously as he climbed up and plucked the slices from their hot cradles.
Henry handed Bendy the plate of scrambled eggs and started getting his onto a plate.  “Well, the designs for you three have been around for decades.  Black and white, massive pupils, it’s something a lot of other studios have moved away from.”
“You thinkin’ of doin’ that too?”  Bendy set his plate down and held a hand out for Henry’s, still sorting out the feelings as they arose.
“Not yet,” the old man replied, offering the plate for his toast.  “But if we do, I want to make sure I have some idea on where we’d be going with it.”  He sensed the toon’s worry and offered a reassuring smile. “After all, I’ve got three very important opinions to take into account.”  They both took their plates to the table, and Henry retrieved the salt and pepper.  “Now, you’ve clearly got some feedback for me.”
“Is it that obvious?” Bendy grabbed the silverware for them and a carton of orange juice.  Henry just replied with a smirk as he set a couple glasses out.  “Well, if you’re up for a critique.”
“You don’t get by in the industry without it,” Henry replied as he sat down.  Bendy joined him, having grabbed some jam for his toast.
“Well, I don’t hate the splash o’ color, but I’m not sure how I feel about havin’ cheek bones,” the toon took a moment to tear into his eggs.  “However,” he continued with his mouth full, “I think the limbs are what looked the weirdest.  I’m used to these noodles,” he displayed his spaghetti thin arms to demonstrate, “not normal lookin’ arms and legs, you know?”
Henry nodded, the toon had been reflecting a lot of his own thoughts on the designs.  He liked them, and he knew that the three could do with some updating, but drawing them in such a starkly different way than he’d been doing his whole career, it would definitely take getting used to.  “What about Boris and Alice?”
“Well,” Bendy rubbed his chin, giving his thoughts time to form into words.  “Boris is the easier one to swallow.  He still just looks like plain ol’ Boris.  He’d probably like the ascot, when I think about it.”  He cast his eyes to Alice’s new look.  “That one gets me.”
“Thought I’d try something daring,” Henry explained.
“It’s daring, alright. Switching out the black for all this bright n’ vibrant stuff.  She looks a bit more angelic, that’s for sure,” he paused with his eyes squinted.
“But…” Henry urged.
“But it doesn’t look like her,” Bendy blurted out like he’d been holding his breath.  “You know me, I’m a ‘glory days’ kinda guy.  I like how we look, and seein’ that change is kinda hurts, you know?”  He stopped and stood up and started pacing, “But things gotta change, right?  Clinging to the past ain’t healthy,” he looked meaningfully at Henry, “we both know a thing or two about that.”  His circuit back and forth continued.  “And change ain’t always a bad thing, sometimes ya need it.  Most places are doin color shows by now, even the mouse put some red in his shorts years ago.  Most of the cartoons we make these days are in color, we’re the holdouts on that one.”
Henry waited quietly as the toon debated himself, more than a little amused by how similar the train of thought was to his.
“But does that mean we gotta start lookin’ like the Jetsons?  Do we all gotta start wearing shit collars so talkin’s easier to animate?”  He stopped pacing and started tapping his foot with his arms crossed and his stare boring into the floor, after a moment he looked back at Henry.  “Am I overreacting?  I think I might be overreacting.  Maybe I’m just too much of an old man, scared by these new-fangled cartoons.”  He slowly made his way back to his seat, taking a bite out of his toast.  “But I don’t want us to do it too much, and lose all the great stuff we had in the first place.”  He looked at Henry again, a little lost.  “Am I making sense?”
That was when Henry finally had to laugh.  It was like was hearing his own thoughts acted out in front of him.  “More than you realize.”  He brushed the crumbs off his hands and turned to the next page.  “How about this?”
What was meant to be a glance at the sheet devolved easily into staring.  His eyes were glued to the paper, completely silent as he looked over every line, every detail.  As he looked, the toon’s lost expression changed to intrigue, then to wonder and a wide smile broke out on his face.  “Well, helloooo there, handsome.  Have we met?”  The page was filled with a second set of designs.  The first attempt had been such a tumultuous thought process afterward, he’d decided to try again. It was always a good idea to have multiple takes on an idea anyway.
Like before, Bendy was the most unchanged.  Instead of yellow, Henry had gone with red, changing his bowtie and the soles of his shoes. Boris was also mostly the same, with tan overalls colored different from his white face now and there was a bit of blush in the cheeks to accent the black and white.  Alice had the most done to her; like the first attempt, she’d been given a real skin tone, but instead of white and red, he’d kept the black and added some blue.  These designs also kept the more prominent eyes, just giving them whites to frame the pupils.
When he got his fill, Bendy looked up at Henry with a questioning look.  “You had these the entire time?’  With a knowing grin, Henry nodded.  “And you decided to let me have an existential crisis before you broke’em out?”
“I had some doubts and I wanted to make sure it wasn’t just me,” Henry defended.  “I didn’t expect you to get that far into it, though. Besides, I had a feeling you’d like these ones more.”  With that, he stood up and took Bendy’s empty plate, stacking it on his own.  “What do you think?”
“You’re right, I do like’em more,” Bendy grabbed their glasses and followed him, feeling oddly optimistic.  “They feel more like us, you know?  It’s not tryin’ to make us into something we’re not, we still look like we could stretch a little bit, like we belong in a slapstick show, not a cartoon family sitcom.”
Henry laughed; the comparison was fairly apt, he had to admit.  “So is that a green light from you?”
“Bright n’ shiny,” Bendy confirmed with a nod.  Henry took the glasses from him and he went to retrieve their silverware from the table too.  As they cleaned the kitchen up, the toon felt a thought nudge its way into his noggin.  It was only by the time they were done that he’d finally worked it into a question, “Change is a good thing, right?”
Henry smiled down at the toon and nodded. “It’s gonna happen anyway, so it might as well be.”
They walked to the couch Bendy had been occupying before and sat down.  “Then,” Bendy started, but stopped, forming the question a bit more before he tried to ask it.  “Why’s it gotta scare the heck outta everybody everytime it comes ‘round?”
“Because it’s usually not gonna wait for you to be ready,” Henry sat down and Bendy hopped up.  “Sometimes the only thing you can do is roll with it, try to keep up, and,” without warning, an arm hooked around Bendy and pulled him in close to the man, forcing a grunt and a chew toy squeak from the little imp, “make sure you’ve got a pal nearby to keep you going.”
Being allowed room to breathe, the toon cast a pair of annoyed, squinting eyes at the old man, then laughed.  “Yeah, well, lucky for you, I’m here, ya jerk.”
“Yeah,” Henry agreed, probably more sincerely than the imp was prepared for, “lucky me.”

The Ink Demon Got up several hours later as it made a low growl as it held it's head everything hurts as he looks around seeing that the hooded demon was no longer here he makes a low snarl as he tries standing up but he fell down to his injuries he makes a low grunt this was what he gets for angering the true ink demon, he gets the ink beaten outta him. the ink demon makes a low moan as he uses the wall to support his balance as he got up slowly as he hissed as he saw his limp wound had reopened Henry walked through the halls it has been a few hours since the fight bendy and him had with the ink demon as he was now carrying bendy in his arms as he walked through the clean halls despite being so much done underground in the studios he was surprised at how clean and less ink stained this hall was, none the less he still kept wary as he looked down at bendy's sleeping form as he makes a sigh "don't worry bud.... we're almost out of here..." he said as he kept walking, bendy slowly opened his eyes, the hooded demon making a low groan "h...Henry?" he said as the retired animator nodded "Yeah bud, it's me, are you okay?" he said as the demon nodded "y...yeah... just give me a minute...." he said as Henry stopped and letted bendy down the toon having some trouble at first but eventually he was alright as he makes a sigh in relief "d...did we get him?" he asked as Henry nodded "Yeah.... you did get him good...." he said as he saw how bruised and wounded the ink demon was when he found the two passed out during that fight, Henry looked around "I wonder where we are right now?" he said as the toon makes a shrug "I have no clue, maybe we're near a room?" he said as Henry shrugged, the two walking down the halls. as they walked they said nothing as they looked around they saw a piper lounging about as it was snoozing off when henry accidently stepped to hard on a board the piper snapped it's head to their direction and made a loud like snarl as it got off and pulled out it's pipe as bendy pulls out his revolver and the piper clone makes a snarl as it ran at them. after the two had killed the piper clone they kept moving and moving, the two would take a break as they was figuring out what to do, they had to somehow get to the lever but they have to go pass joey’s office and henry needed to see joey he just… wanted some answers to this whole thing he wanted to know his own side of the story before he decides what to do with him. he sighed as the retired animator rubbed his forehead “hard thinking huh?” the toon said as henry nodded “yeah…. i just… i don’t know anymore.. why… would joey do all this just because i left?” he said as bendy nodded “things change henry like i said… he lost it the moment you left the door….. everything can change just from a small mistake..” he said as the retired animator sighed a bit “yeah well… i just wished none of this would of happened, the studio wouldn’t be.. like this and that.. that dang ink demon wouldn’t be roaming around and of course everyone would be normal! i just.. wish there was a way to fix all of this…” he said as bendy stares in a sympathetic manner before sighing. after a while henry stood up bendy took notice and also stood up “ready to go bud?” he said as the toon nodded “yeah… let’s do this…” he said as they kept moving on. as they walked henry noticed they seems to be no more ink pipes or ink stains as if this part was clean. course he noticed a slight few dents in the walls and floorboards but that was possibly done long ago. they stopped at a office, the stained name of “JOEY DREW” written in black ink was in the label next to the door as henry took in a deep breathe and reached to open it, but he stopped. Bendy saw how much Henry was shivering, like he could'nt move a muscle, Henry was afraid 'why... Why do I feel this sudden urge inside me to run?! I know there's no choice left I have to go in!... But' he looked up at the sign frosting more as he saw the faint bendy like symbol on where the O was, gulping more 'again, what else do I have to lose right?' He thought to himself as he sighed and finally opened the door and peeked inside. joey was in his desk just working, writing down things and what not he looked the same just as henry saw him, the same black hair, same mustache, same body posture and same clothing though he seems more pale than usual and a bit different, ink stains were on his shirt and his pants as his sunglasses were cracked a bit but he did’int seem aware of it. it was like he did’int even notice the door opening. bendy hid behind the door as he was still afraid of joey henry wonder what he should do… before he sighed and cleared his throat as joey flinched a bit before looking up “hello there joey…. long time no see…” henry said forcing a tired smile up as joey stared in shock he took off his sunglasses and henry noticed something different about his eyes one eye was blue while the other was black, both had slight hints of red pupils as joey blinked as he rubbed his eyes as he stares at henry. he pinched himself just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming as he looked up “h….henry….. it’s….. it’s really… y….you….” he said as he got up from the chair “oh what a happy day! you finally got my letter! oh i do hope you did’int find any trouble on the way here!” he said with a cheerful smile. henry stares at that he sounded way too cheerful almost like nothing had happened.  none the less he smiled back “you… could say that…. you said you had something to show me?” he said as joey blinks for a moment before realizing and nodding “ah! yes of course your right i do have something to show you-” he was cut off by slight coughing “hey, you okay henry?” he said as the retired animator nodded “Y…yeah….” he said as joey stares for a moment before giving his smile back at his old friend “well then! why not take a seat, let’s sit down for a while and catch up! it’ll be just like the good old days!” he said as he went to his chair as henry glanced behind himself to see bendy shivering the retired animator makes a assuring smile and a nod as he looks over “alright joey… let’s talk” he said as the man grinned "well... i did'int expect you to come a hour earlier, hope you did'int have trouble coming here" he said, henry shrugging "eh...... had some...." he said as joey chuckled "ah well prehaps it was only the workers then im sure you noticed the new staff!" he said, sounding so cheerfully that he did'int even think to suspect anything was wrong "well... here's the uh... thing... i-" he was cut off by joey interuppted him "now now, im sure you have questions, a lot of questions the truth is henry, i need you, back here, back in the old workshop with me i... realized what i did was honestly so curl i want to make ammends to you my friend, please give this old man the forgiveness he deserves” he said as henry stares he wanted to so badly punch him 'why was he acting like everything was alright?!' he thought to himself as he clenched his fists 'it's like he doesn't even want to talk about what's happened with everyone!' he glares a bit but hides it as joey notices the slight shaking "henry, your shaking" he said as the retired animator notices and stops "sorry, just tired is all" he said as his 'friend' nodded "that's alright im sure it was a big exhausting for you to be walking all the way down here" he said as henry nodded, slightly sighing as they kept talking well mainly joey halfway he could'nt take it and just said "look joey, how... how are you so calm by this?!" he said as joey raised a eyebrow "huh? what do you-" henry cut him off "YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHAT I MEAN! YA GONE CRAZY JOEY, CRAZY! YA TURNED HALF THE WORKERS INTO MINDLESS DAMN MONSTERS! EVEN SAMMY DOESN'T EVEN REMEMBER EVERYTHING!" he said as joey grew silent as henry ranted on, telling joey all that he's seen, he calmed down as he panted "so.... you found out did you...." joey said, his tone slightly changing "then you must really know why i called you here then...." he said as henry nodded "you want me, to become a perfect bendy.." he said as joey nodded "yes... but it doesn't have to go down like this, henry you can help me create one without using you, you can recreate our devil darling, and you can join me henry.... join us" he said as henry glares, before punching joey straight in the face, hard as the man fell out of his chair "that, was for stealing my character and abusing bendy..... get some help joey... we're getting outta here, with or without you" he said as he turns to walk away but, something grabbed his shoulder and slams him on the bookshelf "im sorry there old friend... b u t i c a n ' t, you have two options" joey said, his eyes redder than before as his hands seem to become claws "join me... or die" he said as henry glares, quickly slashing joey's face in with the blessed knife as that did took the man by surprise, he screams as he stumbles, before tackling henry, him and the retired animator engaging in a fight, henry halfway lost the blessed knife as he had to take out his own before being stabbed by the blessed knife. henry screams and then stabs joey's neck, before shooting him several times as the man stumbles, coughing out blood like ink, henry quickly pulling and throwing the blessed knife at the man's head, joey falling down as henry panted, before he felt him still alive, joey coming back at him while screaming, henry had no time to deflect so he just did the next stupid thing, he tackles joey thankfully making him drop the knife as he started punching his former boss repeatedly as joey grabs the knife, and slices henry's arm a bit, henry grunts as he held his arm, before being kicked to the bookshelf, bendy watching the whole fight still with fear in his eyes. henry grunts a bit as he held his side still slightly recovering from joey’s knife attack, the crazed man had this murderous grin on his face as he gripped on the blessed knife some more. Henry glared and gripped on his axe as he ran again attacking him with it this time hitting him on the head as hard as he can despite being in a very exhausted state he hoped this would been the finishing blow, but oh how wrong he was. Joey sliced across his chest a bit as the retired animator stumbles coughing as he starts to pants before joey grabbed the axe and tried attacking his former friend with it causing the retired animator to dodge and almost ram him like a football player before stumbling and coughing and nearly falling down holding his chest as he breathed heavily “ya know!” joey said, his smile widening as he seems to have a bit of ink dripping from his eyes “I TOLD YA BEFORE HENRY! YOU STILL HAVE a ChAnCe” Joey said, holding out his hand while grinning madly “CoMe AnD JoIn me HeNRy DOn’T mAke THiS hArDeR tHAn iT nEeDs TO be!” his said his voice sounding more and more demonic as henry would glare “your crazy joey! your god damn crazy!” he said as joey twitched before glaring and he grabs henry by the collar of the shirt as he lifts him up to his face “CRAZY?!?!?! IM NOT CRAZY MY FRIEND! COME ON NOW HENRY… WhErE’s yOur BeLiEF?!” he said as henry then headbutted joey as the crazed man stumbles as he grunts a bit “HEY JOEY!” bendy said, the human would look to see him holding henry’s gun “THIS IS FOR MY BROTHER!” he said as he then shot above him. Joey was looking up too late to see a chandelier fall on top of him as he screams in slight pain from being buried in the sharp glass shards from the chandelier. Henry would then seconds later start to breathe heavily at this as he sighs before looking over at bendy giving a small smile “nice shot bud…” henry said, smiling as the toon would smile back as his tail flickers “yeah.. come on old man get up and let’s turn on the lever and get the hell outta here” he said as henry nods agreeing with him “yeah i just about had it with this studio” he said as they start to head out but they heard a crazed chuckling sound, Henry then turns around slowly his eyes widening at seeing Joey, whose body was now partly covered in ink as if his skin was tore off as he grinned “DID YA REALLY THINK IT WOULD BE THAT EASY?!?! FOOLS! I HAVE GAINED IMMORTIALLY! NOW IT IS YOUR TURN!” he said as he started shifting and turning Henry stumbles before grabbing the toon demon’s hand and running away as joey starts to transform, his clothing starts to be covered in ink as if replacing it as his bowtie became almost similar to the ink demon’s, his hands would flex into sharp claws and then into kinda cartoon like gloves before his body posture would look similar to sammy and the lost ones and then grew to a similar height to the ink demon as he slowly grew horns as his hair gets melted into the ink as his eyes were flash red and yellow, he forms a mask as it fitted him as his eyes beamed red “Í̶̞M̸͖̊ ̶̢͗N̷̬̍O̶͌͜Ṭ̵̌ ̸̔ͅT̶͓͊H̴́ͅṘ̸̘Ô̸̪U̸͌͜Ǵ̷͍Ḫ̶̓ ̶̗̾W̴̟͐Ĭ̷̢T̶̖̈́H̵̱̓ ̵͇̅Y̶̥̑O̸̭̓Ủ̵̼ ̶̳̈́Y̴̰̑E̵̗͂T̶͚͋ ̶͚͌B̸̫̐Ơ̶̥Ŷ̴̯S̸͖̽!̷̥̂~̴̠̓~̶̍ͅ~̴̹̀” he said, giving chase to them. bendy and henry kept on running as the retired animator transform to his 'perfect' toon form as he slices off a string as a log came running slamming down onto joey as it did'int even stun him as he did rolled around but he kept giving chase, bendy pulls out his machete and waits before slashing a tripwire, as a ton of crates fell down onto joey as it did stun him for a few moments as bendy ran with henry, joey leaping out of the rubble snarling as he pulls out the knife that henry attacked him with and throws it, hitting henry's shoulder, thank god he was in his toon form, he winches as they got into the elveator as bendy had already turned on the lever as the lift went up before joey could even get to them as he snarls out in anger. henry winches as the hooded demon took out the knife "t...thanks bud" he said, turning back to his human form already, bendy nodded, giving a small smile "y....yeah.... let's-" he yelps when a slight dent was heard in the lift "oh fucking hell..." he said as a clawed hand rips over the lift as joey, looking more corrupted, tries to get them but bendy turns to his berserker form as he snarls and lunges at joey the lift being destroyed as they all fell down, with joey falling down first from the lift, henry wondered how deep of a fall he'll survive this time, he looks at bendy who was flying down to him as he tries to get him, he succeeds as henry smiles "thanks bud... come on... let's get out of this shithole" he said as the demon nods, before they could even fly out the lift gets sent down almost at a unknown speed, bringing them down to the lower levels as they crashed. henry weakly opened his eyes as they were burried, he barley saw bendy trying to get him out and he barley noticed a wounded yet angry joey, suddenly his vision went dark the only noise he heard with bendy's echoing roars of anger. Henry would wake up shortly after getting the realization that bendy was not with him, he forces himself up "bendy! hold on buddy im coming!" he said running after following the trail until he bashes down a random door and stares in shock, it was a vast open like area, with a sturdy, stone like bridge as at the end of the bridge, was bendy the toon had his arms and legs chained around the seals, at different posts, four in total each has a jar, one of them was a massive glowing ink mass, the other was a dark angry soul that henry could only assume was the false angel's, the third jar had some sort of hellish fire like energy and the last... had some sort half of a pure soul that henry could barley see but he somehow knew who it was. he ran over to where bendy was and he tries to get him out but there seems to be barrier stopping him from touching the demon "bendy!" he said punching the barrier "come on buddy look up don't give up!" he said as the demon did look up, but not in relief or happiness... but rather in guilt "im..... im sorry henry.... he..... he forced me to do it..." he said as henry looked confused "w-what?! bendy don't say that what exactly happened?!-" he said as the toon sniffled "he... he threathen to kill me if i did'int bring you down here... i tried to warn you henry but you did'int listen... that machine was a trigger waiting to happen..." he said as henry heard a cackle like voice "S̵̨̝͕̲̉̈́͠o̸̲͐͋̚͠,̶̨̨̤͉͂̓͊͘ ̷̼̞̯̙̿̓̓͝ȳ̴̨̖̥̉O̷̯͇͙̥͊ŭ̸̜ ̸̥́ͅk̷̺̼̫͖̈́N̶̨̺̗̰̍͘o̴̢̎̿̍̿Ẃ̶̙͖̣̪̆ ̷͓̞̠̟̕ñ̶̪̀̃͠Ơ̴̥͕̲͎w̷̻̌" joey said his mask half broken along with his horn, revealing half his inky face, with a red jack-o-lantern like plastered eerie grin and his eye were a bleeding red, henry glared at joey "did you force him to do this?!" he said, the corrupted inky man laughed "n̸̨͉̰̯͗̀Ö̸̘͔͔ ̴͍͇͋̄͑͜͠i̶̥̮͑̒̚̚ ̴͉̀̚͝Ḑ̷͇̹͖̏̍i̶̥͕̐́͂͜ͅd̴͔͈̔̂̍͝'̷͓̇i̸̳̭͛Ṉ̴̘̉ͅẗ̶̻͓͇̿͒͂ ̸͎̑̓F̸̝̆o̶̝͕̬͌r̶̹̟͓̉͌̑C̸̘̙̮̔̀̓ẹ̶̇ ̵̟̪̺̐̆͝ͅḦ̵͚͍̫́̏I̵͕͙̔m̵̥̭͒̌ ̴̰̏̍̊̚Ą̷̿̈́͐ẗ̶͙̽ ̸̬̑Ä̷̦̫͍̝́̒̍̓ḷ̶̘̃̇͑L̷̡͎̤͙̃͒͐̅,̵̠̻̪̂ ̵̧̨̏̈́̽̊I̸̘͉͛̏ͅ ̸̟̙̃͝M̸̤̲̮̻̓̐ḛ̵̗̥̦̇̆́̽R̵̨̠̰̟̍̏e̶͔͔̜͋͌͑͝Ĺ̵̦͋͂ỵ̴͆̑͐͝ ̸̭̺̽͌͠t̵̮̂͝h̴̨̰̯̋͆̚R̵͎̃e̷̥̠͐͐A̸̠͗̽̀t̴̤͍̒̒̂̄Ḧ̸̺̣͔́̍ͅẹ̷̈́̏N̸̮̖̣̼̔͑͠ ̶͖̞̀͠Ḧ̶̲̻͔̳́̓i̴͈̗͛Ṃ̴̲̍́͠ ̷͙͔͎͖̀̅ṭ̵̖͉̼̈̐Ô̵̩̄̏ ̵̡̯͐k̶̲̝̗̊̈Ỉ̶̮͝L̵̦͂́̓̕L̸̡͈̻̙̅̚ ̵̗͒̄̾̿Ē̴̱̜̳̓͜ṽ̵͔̩̫͌̕E̸̥͐͂r̶̨̛͇͓͎̿͘Y̴̟̮̒̕o̶͓̺͙͒̃͆N̷̢̞̚E̸̳͇͗ ̶̧̛̩̾͂h̴̬͆̓̇̃E̵̛̼͓̥̅̀̒ ̸͉̠͆̐̾͝ȇ̸̡̽V̷̧̜͍͑ḙ̴̃̈́̋͠R̶̡̘͍̉̀͒͋ ̶̟̺̄̽̈́l̶̝̬̦̯̓Ö̸͕́͗V̷̩̰͓̖̈̄͗è̴̲̠̦S̴̛̩̩̈́̽͆,̷̭̦̀̉̑ ̴̬̇̓̎A̶͓͕̾̿̔͜ṋ̴̳̒̔̈́D̸̹͙̑͐̚͝ ̸̹͝ţ̸͙̩̦̑͊̂O̸͚͆ ̷̬̣͎̾̂ṳ̸͓̾̓͝͝s̸̬̜͈̙̑̓E̸̬̥̊̂ ̷̞̠̔͂h̸̨̪̲̃̂̂I̴̧̡̹̫̒S̶̜͗͊ ̵̡̠̙̣̒̉ỏ̸̥͓̗̎̔̔ͅW̸͉̗͎̞͑̊n̵̙͕̰̫̎̏ ̴̖̣̉̿S̷͎͖͉̖͆̄O̶̘̟̖̒u̵̪͐́̇L̷̢̮̋͗ ̴̘̦̝̊̄͊F̵̨̠̥̽̄̌͜͝o̶̢͇̍r̸̖͉̦͐̅͜ ̴̨̡͈̺͐T̷̩̟̻̯̅̈͗̍Ḧ̶̨̫͕̤́́e̴̩͙̦͛̃̊͠ ̶͈͍͓͇̈́̆͑r̸̖̝̹͆͝I̴͔̤̮͗T̸̺͂͂u̴̳̺̭̎͠ä̷̩́Ĺ̵̟̊̊͝,̸̖͎͚̓̅̕͝ ̶̡̨̝̤͛̕T̷̢̠͈̩͗̓͘h̷̞͍͒̕͜e̸̫̳̮̍ͅ ̸̣̲̺̠͂̉̀ŗ̶͍̘́͆̚E̴͓̐́́̚s̶̯̓̓̊T̴͈̰̞̙̀̚ ̴̘̟̬̈͝w̵̳̼̙̓Ȃ̷̛̱̤̽̊s̷͖̭̏̄͑ ̵̡̠̲̈́̈́̈́A̷̡̼̜͖͒̈͝͝ľ̷̫̠̗̋Ḻ̴̯̳̋̎ ̴͈̥̠̪̀̆̈h̵̙͆́͝Í̴̡̜̗͍̈́Ş̴̳̮̟̈̇̕͘ ̷̫̤̙͘͘ŏ̶̙̖͔͐͘͜Ẇ̴̤̤̽̏̉n̸͍͔̰̔̌̕͜ ̴̤̺̱̐̀̆̐d̶̢̧̝̤͛Ȯ̶̧͚̾̊ȉ̴̧̇N̵̘̱͈͂̑͒̾g̴̗̯͆"̵͚̳͍̂̈́" he said, henry growing more angry "your lucky i already used up my form cause if i did! than i would of kicked your ass!" he said as joey howled with laughter "Î̴͉'̶̯͗L̸͖̓l̵̟͑ ̶̢̏M̵̙̎a̵͔̒K̷̢̀e̵̡͌ ̵͎̾y̶̼̑Ó̶͜ù̵̪ ̷̼̂Ǎ̴̢ ̵̱̓d̷̓͜E̸̟͑a̴̳L̶͙͛,̷̦̿ ̸̫̈́J̴̦͝Ö̸̜́i̶̙͐Ǹ̴̯ ̶̱́m̴̯̔E̷̺̚ ̶̔ͅḧ̸̼́E̵̙͊n̷͕̽r̵̹̉Y̸̮̐,̵̫̑ ̴̧̿a̶͉̽N̶̹̐D̷̞̉ ̸̛͇i̵̠͝'̸̨͛ḷ̸̈L̴͈̂ ̵͚͊ḽ̸̈́E̸̡̚t̷͚̀ ̵̡͌H̶͕͆i̷̢͝M̵̙̓ ̵̜̌g̴̱͐Ö̷̗́,̸̗̐ ̵͕̋r̶̰̋E̸͚̓f̴̳̚Ū̵̧S̷̗̋ē̴̜.̶̘̇.̵̨̋.̸̭͒ ̷̞͝w̷͖͂Ȇ̵̩l̸͕̃L̸̬̐.̶̻̐.̷̭͘.̷̦̐ ̴̺̄L̸̯̊è̶̗T̴̘̉'̷̪̐s̴͓̐ ̸̮͗J̵̧͆ů̸̳s̷̜̽T̷̻̽ ̸̢̕S̷̮̅a̶̭̿ŷ̶͓ ̷̈͜T̶͔̔h̷̼̽ē̶̜ ̸̺̒C̵̨͘h̵͓̑Ȍ̷̧i̶͕͌c̷̨̎Ĕ̵̙ś̸͙ ̴̰̂W̵͗͜i̶͎̐L̴̳̚l̸̢̛ ̴̮͗B̶͍́e̷̯̓.̶͕͊.̸̥͌.̷̪̓.̸͔́ ̴̫̀V̴̼͂e̶̲̋R̸̖̀y̵̲͛.̸̪̽.̶̭͛.̶͔̌ ̶̪̌P̸̹̑u̷̧̐N̵̼͝í̶̧s̴̬̿H̸̗̅i̷̖̎ṇ̶̌G̷̖̏" he said as henry stares at him, looking back at bendy who stares at him with pleading eyes "h-henry! d-don't do it! don't give yourself up just for me! get out of here while ya still can!" he said, henry looking back to glare at joey "the answer. is still, the same. I PROMISED HIM I GET HIM OUT OF HERE AND BY GOD IM NOT GONNA BREAK IT!" he said as bendy stares as joey quickens his pace he starts to remember all the times he and henry had together, the hooded demon frowns, the ink oozing up as his seals burned through the chains. he glares his pie-cut eyes flaring red and orange as his trademark cartoon mouth became a fanged frown, with his fangs enlarging. as joey lurches foward, roaring at henry, the two looked to see a large looming shadow, bendy was in his demonic form as he snarls and lunges at the two in slow motion, both were afraid to see which one he would grab when..... bam! bendy grabs and pulls joey into the seal like barrier, henry accidently getting the machete stuck into joey's body as the ink covered man screams as he was grabs and tries to get out of his grip, the demonic demon looks at Henry and roars loudly as if telling him to  run as Henry nodded and quickly ran out of there as the inky like mass jar broke first the ink falling onto the two as the false angel's soul was the next one who broke the jar emitting a echoing banshee like screech as it merged into the two underneath the inky mass, then the fourth jar broke, releasing the half pure soul as it went into the two, the third jar slowly glowed with two eyes as it cracked as it flew around, emitting a laughing like howl as it dove right In as a bright light flashed as the ritual was almost complete. Henry ran and ran hearing the loud burst of energy, four arms merge from the inky mass as each hand held something spiritually, the first one held the raging energy of the toon demon, the second held the angered soul of the false angel, the third holding the inky mass like durability that the huge searcher had, and the fourth held the dark magic that the creature had as three tails sprouted from the inky mass glowing different colors as two bony wings emerge from the inky mass as a body was slowly taking form along with a skull like head with ink dripping from the eye sockets, along with dragon like horns. Henry kept running until he stopped at two places to hide, under the table or in a little miracle station. without thinking he ran and ducked underneath the table and waited, he hears footsteps, large inky footsteps as something destroys the station, he had to cover his mouth as he saw the three long tails as it made a dent on the table, thankfully the creature moved away, leaving the retired animator.... all alone now, without bendy or anyone else to come to his aid.

Why College Is So Expensive In America
Tumblr media
College in the usa: it’s 4 years of all nighters, keg stands, ethnically numerous welcome brochures, Pinterest excellent dorm rooms and crushing student debt. I have $69,812, $47,000, $90,000, $35,000, $350,000, $60,000 worth of student loans. My minimal student loan cost is $1,000 a month. It must take me about 10 years to pay that again, I might be roughly 36, 45-years-ancient, I have no idea how historical i will be once I pay that off. I was genuinely on campus at Penn State and that i noticed that I had so much to pay and it just was once overwhelming. I did not know easy methods to do it, I not ever saw a number that large. I just went to institution for a number of months found out that it was no longer what I desired at all, and now i have this forty thousand additional dollars that I need to pay and nothing fairly to show for it. If I wasn’t paying this student debt, oh my God, i would just make investments all of my cash. It appears like i’ll have a roommate for the leisure of my lifestyles given that my debt is a lot.You can’t factor at anyone and say, this person made your pupil debt load a lot more, it can be the whole approach. So why is institution so highly-priced, and is it valued at it? Greater schooling today is made up of three major sectors. All of them bring in cash from lessons however the place they get the relaxation of their income varies. Public schools are your state colleges like SUNY or Iowa state. They get cash from the government. Personal for-profit faculties just like the college of Phoenix or Capella school get cash from shareholders. Why College Is So Expensive In America

And confidential non-profits are these like Yale an American institution, they get quite a lot of their money from donors. More on that later. Ramiel Valentine’s Extra
Here’s extra three, featuring Ramiel. It’s a little more mature than the other two, but nothing explicit. This is probably about as far as the game will go into detail, but that’s not entirely set in stone. I’m not sure it would exactly qualify as mature, but better to be on the safe side.
To that end, I’m sort of struggling with how... intense?... to make the romance scenes, I suppose. I tend not to have a filter in most writing (at least when it comes to sex). I curbed this scene intentionally. I’m going to talk a little more about this in the CoG forum post.
Anyways, enjoy!
You fumble with the keys to the loft, cursing as you drop them. It was late, you were tired, and you knew you needed food even though the thought was unappetizing at the moment. The gruesome nature of the double homicide that you had been woken up to at four am this morning had put you in a bad mood from the start. The scene had been so contaminated by the time you had arrived, both by the well-meaning group of teenagers who had found them—some of which you suspected had been less well-meaning and more morbidly curious—and the damned rain, that the evidence had been less than helpful.
You were still waiting on the lab for the toxicology reports, and with Zaria on vacation, you had had to sit through a rather bumbling excuse for an initial autopsy report from the poor substitute who was working in her stead. The death notifications had gone over worse than normal, to the point that one of the distressed relatives had actually broken a vase in their grief. Preliminary interviews hadn’t revealed any good motivations—they were such a nice couple, no one ever had any problems with them, they weren’t in any financial trouble, they had no jealous exes, nobody had any problems with them whatsoever.
In other words, it was a load of bullshit that you were still wading through, trying to find the thread to unravel the tangled snarl that this case was turning out to be. That was on top of the fact that you had had green tea spilled on you, and then your computer had gone on the fritz—probably a reaction to your Grace, but that wasn’t an explanation you could give tech support—causing you to lose what you had been working on, and to compound the lousy day, some idiot rookie had gotten off on your floor with a rowdy suspect for a completely different case who had knocked over your murder board, causing you and your partner to have to waste time redoing the whole thing, in addition to subduing the man. You may or may not have cheated and knocked him unconscious with your Grace.
All in all, you were ready to be done with this day.
As you bend over to grab your keys, the door opens, and you glance up, ready to chide Daniel for being up this late. He still had school in the morning, and waiting up for you was not a valid—
The words die in your throat as you take in the pressed slacks leading up to a trim waist, a white-collared button-up tucked in, but as you trace the buttons upwards, you can see that the owner of the shirt had popped the top couple buttons and—
“And it’s more comfortable that way, especially when I wasn’t sure when or if you would be home,” Ramiel states, and you close your mouth, wondering exactly what you had said out loud.
“You look like you had a rough day,” Ramiel says, somewhat amusedly as he pulls you to your feet, plucking the keys out of your hand as he ushers you into your own apartment with a hand on your lower back.
“What are you doing here?” you ask, as Ramiel continues guiding you to the couch. He relieves you of your jacket and other personal items, including your personal sidearm with an ease that vaguely alarms you.
“I have watched you take it off, love,” Ramiel says, smiling up at you from where he was crouched by your feet, busy removing your shoes.
Apparently you had been speaking out loud. Again.
“Just stay here and tell me about your day,” he says, rising gracefully to his feet with your clothing and other items. It wasn’t fair how relaxed he looked, still dressed in his slacks from his ‘day job’ as a lawyer and dress top. He had rolled up the sleeves though, and his tie was missing—something you should have noted when you were staring at the sliver of his chest you could see through the open collar, so he had been here for a while.
Daniel must have let him in. You hadn’t gotten around to making another key, and the wards wouldn’t let him in unless you or Daniel opened the door for him. Maybe it should be a bit alarming that your kid was letting in your boyfriend without discussing it with you first, but right now you didn’t have the energy to care.
“Here.” You look up as a plastic tumbler, complete with cap and bendy straw, appear in front of your face.
“A sippy-cup?” you ask, frowning. Ramiel leans further over the back of the couch, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.
“Love, you would be upset if you spilled the wine on yourself or the couch, and as rough as you are looking right now, I dare not give you anything fragile or anything with an open top,” he says, still sounding far too amused by this whole situation.
You scowl, but take the cup anyways, sucking noisily on the straw just to be irritating. Ramiel moves back, ruffling your hair as he moves into your kitchen. The microwave goes off, and you can smell something delicious. Your stomach seems to concur, rumbling loudly.
Ramiel moves around the couch into your view, carrying a tray with a plate of leftover chicken parmigiana with a side of asparagus and a slice of garlic bread. He sets it gently on your lap before taking a seat beside you.
“You may be an angel, Gabriel, but your shell still needs fuel. Especially given that you’ve had a very long day.” You nod your head as you half-listen to him, mostly preoccupied with scarfing down your food and satisfying the pit in your stomach. It was warm, it was right in front of you, and you were fairly sure it was delicious though you were devouring it too fast to be sure on that last point.
“Alright, I don’t think there’s anything left,” Ramiel says, reaching over and relieving you of the tray. You stare forlornly at the plate, scraped clean, only reluctantly relinquishing the tray into Ramiel’s grasp. He gets up, and as soon as he was off the couch you flop over onto his side, enjoying the heated cushion, curling your feet up onto the side you’d mostly vacated.
“Lift your legs.” Ramiel had returned, and he was staring down at you, a fond smile on his face. Grumbling, you do so, and your Fallen boyfriend slides under them. He was pleasantly warm, and you twist your torso so you can look at him better.
“Work sucked,” you say, only slightly whining. “Humans are so—so—” the word you want eludes you, so you settle for waving a hand in the air.
“I hear it is generally more tolerable when one has sufficient sleep,” Ramiel says, starting to massage your feet. You let out a quiet groan at the feeling, pressing into his strong fingers.
“That’s nice,” you tell him, as he continues his ministrations.
“Well, I had come over to have dinner with you and Daniel. We figured the case was keeping you late, but we didn’t anticipate it would keep you this late especially since you were called out so early this morning,” he says softly. You blink slowly at him, before it hits you.
“Oh shit. Dinner. Tonight. We talked about it last week.” You feel a faint niggle of guilt in your gut, but Ramiel just shake his head gently.
“Gabriel, it’s fine. I know how important your work is to you. Daniel and I had a pleasant meal and a good discussion, though he did seem intent on determining my exact intentions towards you,” Ramiel says, his massage moving up your feet to your calves.
“He what?” you ask, half-sitting up. Ramiel breaks out into a boisterous laugh at the expression on your face, his head falling back. Not for the first time, you think that he might be one of the most human angels you’ve ever met. No, not angel, you remind yourself. Fallen.
But looking at him now, you would dare anyone to tell you that he was any different than he had been before. Maybe a little older, a little wiser, and not as scruffy, but he was still Ramiel.
And of course, now he was yours.
You forget what you were asking about, moving so you were straddling his lap on the couch. Ramiel sobers up, his head dropping so he can look inquisitively at you.
“I like it when you laugh,” you say, tracing the faint laugh lines around his mouth with one finger.
“That’s good,” he says, turning his head to playfully nip at the offending finger.
Your brain tracks back to what he was saying earlier, and you sit up a little straighter, trying to stare down at Ramiel. “So, Ramiel,” you start, putting on your best ‘bad cop’ impersonation, “what are your intentions with me?”
Ramiel’s eyes darken, the pupils dilating as he tilts his head back slightly to look up at you in your raised position. “Well,” he drawls slowly, his hands coming up to gently stroke up your arms, pausing at your shoulders before wandering back down, stopping at your elbows and shifting so he can grasp your waist.
“My original intentions were to feed you and ensure you had a relaxing evening. I’ve accomplished the former, and you sort of missed the entire evening at work.” You narrow your eyes at him as he rubs his thumbs over your hip bones in small circles, the touch intimate but not overtly sexual.
“Well, I do appreciate the food,” you say, leaning down and hovering with your lips just above his, watching the way his eyes track every minute change in your face. “But with the day I’ve had, I’m thinking I could do with some other forms of distraction.”
His hands tighten abruptly, pulling your body snug against his. Without warning he stands up, and you let out an undignified squawk of protest, instinctively wrapping your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck. “Warn me!” you say breathlessly, even as one of his arms moves down to support your bottom and the other shifts up higher on your back.
“You started it,” Ramiel tells you, moving effortlessly with you through your apartment towards your bedroom. You couldn’t help but be a little envious of his inhuman strength, given the limitations you had to deal with in your mortal shell.
“As long as you finish it,” you retort, wincing slightly as the words escape you. You peek at Ramiel’s face, seeing his arched eyebrow.
“I think the people at my work are rubbing off on me,” you say, chagrined.
“I don’t think that’s bad at all. And trust me, I do plan on… finishing… you,” he says, the innuendo heavy in his words. You flush, feeling heat jolt through you. Your earlier tiredness was fading away as Ramiel backs into the door to your room, and you only just remember to duck so as not to hit your head on the frame.
He kicks the door shut with his foot and moves towards the bed with increased speed. You realize what’s about to happen almost too late as he abruptly drops his arms away. Instead of dropping to the bed as he intended, you cling tightly to him. “Not. Funny.”
“It wasn’t meant to be,” Ramiel says into your shoulder. “But I can’t take my or your clothes off with you clinging to me.”
“I don’t like being dropped,” you respond. Ramiel huffs softly, but slowly bends over, lowering you gently to the bed. Reluctantly you release him and he draws back to look into your face. “That better, love?” he asks, kissing the tip of your nose before standing up.
You hum softly as you scoot up the bed, watching eagerly as Ramiel starts to unbutton his top. Catching your gaze, he slows his movements, making a show of it. Part of you feels annoyed, but part of you is also enjoying the slow revelation of his flawless skin, inhumanly perfect. As he finishes stripping off the shirt, your eyes trace down his well-defined chest, abruptly struck by the strange absence of a belly-button. Angels don’t have them, but you had grown so accustomed to your mortal shell that the lack of it was momentarily disconcerting.
You blink, shaking off the strange thought as Ramiel carefully tosses his shirt into the hamper in the closet, not even looking. He hooks his thumbs into his pants, drawing them down over his hips with almost agonizing slowness.
“You know, I’m almost done undressing, but you still seem to have too many clothes on,” he says, his eyes raking over your still clothed form. You scowl and sit up, impatiently tugging your top off. Your pants and underclothes take a bit more maneuvering, requiring you to do a little flopping about like a fish as you wriggle them off your hips.
You hear a suspicious snort as you finally free yourself of the confines of your clothes, chucking them haphazardly in the direction of the hamper, aware that none of them probably hit their target.
“Don’t you dare laugh,” you tell Ramiel, sitting back up and folding your arms across your bare chest. Ramiel hastily schools his face into something more neutral.
“Of course not. I would never,” he says, finishing baring himself to you. “My eyes are up here, love,” he adds, and you tear your gaze back up to his face.
“You’re the one standing naked at the foot of my bed. Can’t blame me for admiring the view,” you inform him, as he slowly kneels on the bed. He starts to crawl his way up the bed towards you, reaching up with one hand to remove his hair tie, letting the dark waves fall around his face.
He reaches out a hand and snags one of your ankles, and before you can protest, he tugs you flat onto your back, drawing you under him with ease. “I rather like the view myself,” he murmurs, before closing the distance between you and kissing you sensuously. He moves from your mouth to your neck, down to the junction where it meets your shoulder. There’s a momentary sting and you swat at him.
“No marks above the collar,” you hiss, as he draws back. “I don’t need the flak that will get me at work,” you add.
“It won’t be there in the morning,” he says in response, shifting his weight to balance on one hand, his brows furrowing briefly. “I just wanted to show you this,” he adds softly, lifting his free hand to the mark he had made.
For a brief moment, you sense discomfort, a side-effect of a Fallen’s Grace brushing against your own. But then the discomfort is gone, replaced by a soothing warmth all too familiar to you, the scent of cedar flooding your senses.
“Your Grace!” you say, startled. He shouldn’t be able to heal you like that, not as a Fallen. You sit up, almost knocking your head into him. “What—how—”
“You.” Ramiel’s reply was simple, but he holds your gaze, a mixture of pride and pain in his eyes. “I don’t really know, but I know that it has to do with you.”
You open your mouth to ask more questions but he silences you with a kiss, stealing your breath. “Not now. Not tonight,” he says, voice taking on a rough quality.
“Tonight is about you.” He cups your chin with his hand, slowly guiding you back onto the bed, following you down, his weight warm and firm against your body without being uncomfortable. “After all, I do have to finish what I started, don’t I?” he whispers into your ear, before biting gently on the earlobe.
“I plan on making sure that you are quite satisfied tonight, perhaps into this morning,” he continues, once more trailing kisses down your neck and across your collar bone, deviating to the area above your mortal heart.
“Let me worship you, my love. Tonight, just let me take care of you. Tomorrow you can go back to saving the world by putting away one murderer at a time,” he says into your skin. “Just for right now, be mine, and mine alone.”
“I’m always yours,” you say to the top of his head. “It’s a side effect of being in love. Just like you’re mine.”
He shifts his head to look up at you, eyes warm and soft underneath the desire. “And I’m yours, for the rest of my existence,” he says. “And yes, I love you too.” He raises himself up to free his hands, letting them resume their somewhat possessive hold on your waist. “Now let me show you some of the ways I plan on regularly reminding you of how much I love you,” he adds, roguish grin telling you that you were going to be in for quite the satisfying night.

Why College Is So Expensive In America
And confidential non-profits are these like Yale an American institution, they get quite a lot of their money from donors. More on that later. However deciding on a college hasn’t continually been so intricate. In 1636, the united states’s first institution used to be based. You might have heard of it earlier than, Harvard school For 1000s of years tuition in the united states used to be an attractive distinguished club to get into. However we’ve got come far from Harvard’s first graduating classification of just nine guys in 1642. In 2018 more than three million americans have been expected to receive a college measure. The demographics of american bigger education have been utterly transformed. In 1944 the G.I. Bill used to be signed into legislation giving veterans money to attend tuition. The G.I. Invoice of Rights looks after the money finish too. That’s correct. Tuition is looked after. Money are supplied for laboratory expenses, books, supplies and equipment are included. Only a few years later, close to half of of usa citizens enrolled in school had been veterans. You can not underestimate the G.I. Invoice. This informed an entire new release of men and a few women too. And it opened the doors humans who hadn’t even proposal that they would go to institution. The G.I. Invoice modified what American households could aspire to. But no longer all people was once capable to take full abilities of the invoice’s advantages. It was enormously tougher for females and men and women of color to get the schooling money and sign up in university for the reason that of the fashionable discrimination through both faculties and banks. Dateline Russia 1957. In a moment the story. In the 50s a bit seashore ball sized satellite launched into area by way of the Soviet Union had a enormous have an impact on on the American education process. The primary Sputnik. Folks have been worried about this clash between the Soviet Union and the us.And suddenly it was once preferred to be taught science and math. It was patriotic. In the 60s the civil rights motion helped push the doorways open even wider to provide ladies and people of colour entry to larger schooling. In these years scholars at institution of California colleges paid not up to a thousand bucks in registration expenses. No lessons if you happen to had been a resident. However with the 70s came the taxpayer revolt. If you wish to have whatever you pay for it. Do not expect me to pay for it. It’s your crisis no longer mine. And so what occurred was the student mortgage procedure exploded. After which got here the U.S. Information and World document. It used to be one of the crucial luckiest or most ingenious publishing decisions ever. In 1983 U.S. News and World document published a list of the united states’s pleasant schools. It became a particularly data driven rating. Every one of the most standards that U.S. News used trusted name attention, natural pleasant, prestige and most of all wealth. Rankings played a colossal factor for me. I was once an athlete and so I was once lovely aggressive. There have been a ton of new lists considering that the 1983 rating but the united statesNews and World file nonetheless reigns king. And faculties preserve a lovely shut eye on it. When you ask them they are going to say they pay no concentration to it. But inside the conference rooms of the admissions place of business and provost places of work throughout the land, i can guarantee you they pay very close awareness to it. One thing they are paying attention to are their test score averages. By the 90s, schools began boosting base tuition and utilizing the extra cash to give merit founded scholarships to youngsters who tested good. The chief information strategist at u.S.News and World file downplayed experiment ratings as a important component of their rating, pronouncing it is less than eight percentage of the methodology today. And that "we have noticeable colleges participate in first-rate in the rankings if they emphasize and participate in strongly in pupil end result areas like commencement and retention premiums. He additionally mentioned they additional cut down the weight of SAT and ACT rankings. Training expenses at both public and private faculties have doubled considering that the late 80s, even while you account for inflation.Even so, more american citizens have become university degrees. But state funding for public universities has taken a hit. States spent less on bigger schooling in 2017 than they did in 2008 earlier than the recession. And that implies students are spending more. The tutoring they are paying is a gigantic moneymaker for faculties. 2017 was once the first 12 months ever that most state schools bought more money from tuition than they did from govt funding. If you’re sitting in the state legislature and you are watching for cash, the school method is one of your largest expenditures. So when you realise well we cut them 2 percentage last yr, they failed to go out of business. Let’s reduce them one other 2 percent. What happens is you go the buck.It goes from the taxpayer to the pupil. The normal scholar graduates with about $37,000 in scholar debt altogether. The U.S. Has $1.5 trillion dollars of it. I had this mind-set that I used to be gonna go to tuition undergrad after which I was once gonna go to grad institution and get my PhD. I proposal that i might get by way of it and then come out on the other side with a job and then be ready to pay it off. But that didn’t go in line with plan. Rachel Brandt acquired her undergraduate levels in math and economics from Iowa State. Then she moved to ny to pursue her master’s in economics. She left grad institution after her first semester to raised cope with intellectual health problems she was once going by means of. I inspiration that i’d just withdraw and be pleasant. However then a couple of weeks after I withdrew, I received an e-mail from the university pronouncing that I owed them $6,000 right away. And that was hard. So I didn’t understand how I was once going to pay that. And that used to be very traumatic. Three, 4, five, six, seven exceptional pupil loans that each one need to be paid with unique interest rates. The quantity just continues going up. I shall be paying $867 in employ a month and that is about how much i will ought to be paying in loans. I appear at my bank account day-to-day and it’s very scary. Rachel is a ways from the one one not to finish a measure she began. Handiest about 57 percentage of undergrads whole their measure inside six years. One alternative pupils flip to for a extra bendy and at times more low-priced route to a measure are for-profit schools like institution of Phoenix or DeVry university. The industry has been in flux, however at present just a little more than 900,000 students attend for-revenue schools in the U.S., many of whom use federal loans to support quilt the fee. I suppose like I wish to do whatever sensible that may that would evidently result in a distinctive job. The art Institute of NY city was once advised to me. Now, I rather regret that it was because it grew to become out to be a horrible fiscal experience. Regardless of for-profits being just a small fraction of all schools within the U.S., for-revenue pupils default on their scholar debt at a a lot higher expense. Chyna is a primary new release college pupil from new york who studied web design and interactive media on the art Institute of New York city when it was once run as a for-revenue.I withdrew from the university, that used to be some thing might have totally taught myself making use of tutorials. For-profit schools date the entire approach back to colonial times. Now not each person would attend associations like Harvard, so entrepreneurs noticed a business possibility and started educating studying, writing and trade talents *** for a rate. Benjamin Franklin was a colossal fan of for-revenue schools and the functional competencies they offered. In 1994, university of Phoenix’s dad or mum manufacturer Apollo schooling group went public and laid the groundwork for the for-revenue schooling enterprises of in these days. But this gigantic trade method to schooling hasn’t come with out controversy. With a lot money on the line many turn to the colleges that show the pleasant numbers, the pleasant chances at a new job when you graduate. But can you consider what a few of these for revenue schools let you know? Once I went there for the so-known as tour it was once it was truly a income pitch. That must have been a red flag but it surely wasn’t on the grounds that I was once 18, no longer having moms and dads who completed tuition, you recognize, being a first iteration student it’s like I did not have the discernment to only depart those variety of faculties on my own.The art Institute didn’t reply to a request for remark. However the director of Cato’s middle for educational Freedom defended the for-profit method, announcing non-gains make some huge cash too. They simply distribute it in a different way. He stated natural faculties by and large use it to "make the lives of persons working in them extra comfortable." He also mentioned all people in better education is almost certainly seeking revenue and there is little evidence that folks in for revenue colleges are less enthusiastic about scholars excellent interest.Considering the fact that Chyna left, the artwork Institute of NY city along with 43 different artwork Institute campuses shut down. There are a quantity of lawsuits towards various campuses. However Chyna’s not capable to qualify for loan forgiveness seeing that she left the university just earlier than the cutoff date. And he or she feels trapped. When you consider that she hasn’t paid off her scholar loans in full, she’s no longer in a position to get her transcript, which she needs that to use to state faculties. So for now she’s enrolled in one other for-profit university within the hopes of utilising the measure to use to a master’s program at a state institution. I think like several these for-revenue colleges they prey on humans who are already who come from low income backgrounds.Enter the non-profits. Amari Lilton is from St. Louis but went to undergrad at a personal university in Chicago. Now she works at an promoting company in New York city and is paying off her greater than $40,000 in student debt. You wish to have to have the tuition dream with out the pupil debt, when you consider that you’re just coming into some thing and you consider like i am gonna have all this independence i’ll be competent to pick my possess classes i’ll have this freedom I’ve certainly not had earlier than. So you need to move to the coolest position which you could. Each school wants to be the first-class. They wish to compete with the next university. They wish to appeal to the highest pupils. That suggests they have got to have the quality facilities they must construct new structures. And consider lessons discounting? Whilst the sticky label price of non-revenue faculties are rising, so is the tuition reduction rate. The cost you see on a university website is greater than what many scholars grow to be surely paying. You may consider that many of the money is going to the rate of running the institution, however practically half of of undergrad training at non-profits goes to aid other people pay for their education. Amari didn’t pay the whole cost of tuition at her confidential tuition however she’s still facing extra debt than she used to be anticipating. I just cried. Yeah I simply cried considering I had no clue how I was going to do it. I dream about it. It is continuously on my mind. If i am like going out to lunch and i’m going to just say, oh my God i am hoping this goes through given that i know they simply took my cash out. I just hope, i am hoping. I need to double my repayments by way of the tip of this year so $2,000 a month. My purpose is to no longer go into my 30s with debt. If i go to Wells Fargo and say like I need a portfolio with all my great investments support me out, they is not going to take me significantly due to the fact that i’ve $250 in the bank. So the place will we go from right here? I have been studying this for a very long time and advocating for reform and that is the hardest sort of challenge to fix on the grounds that it can be structural. It is every body. It’s the entire market. Jarrett Freeman ran for big apple State Senate in 2016 when he was once simply 26 years historical. I declare my candidacy for the big apple State Senate. And a giant a part of his platform was once education and pupil debt. I was really on campus and that i noticed that I had a lot to pay and it simply used to be overwhelming. I didn’t comprehend find out how to do it. I certainly not noticed a quantity that tremendous. Americans are becoming much less satisfied that a school degree is valued at it. In 2013, fifty three percentage of folks notion a 4 12 months degree was once worth it. In 2017 only 49 percent of folks proposal so.I believe that it can be so ingrained to your head that you simply have to go to college, that school is your next step after graduation. I consider in hindsight I see that tuition is just not for all people. Total I suppose a bit of jaded about institution being valued at it for all people, or at the least for scholars immediately out of excessive college. Knowing what i do know now, i’d have even taken a couple of years off earlier than I went to college. There is this proposal that 18-year-olds are supposed to understand what they want in existence. And now that i’m turning 25 day after today, I nonetheless have no idea precisely what is going on on. That mindset might be a concern for the future job market. It can be expected that by means of 2020, 65 percentage of jobs within the U.S. Would require folks to have some university schooling to even be considered. So there are quite a lot of jobs that require you to spend some money on tuition before they may pay you to work. In lots of instances that sum is some huge cash. Student debt is a national problem. Unluckily we don’t have expenditures on the floor that are actually addressing that. The truth is there traditionally is not just one solution that is going to resolve the whole thing. It’s going to take a variety of one-of-a-kind methods, and unique approaches are being established throughout the united states. Some of the proposed options is an sales share agreement. Practically, rather of getting rid of loans, pupils might agree to repay an investor a percent of their revenue for a set quantity of years after they graduate. The thought has aid from politicians on each side of the aisle and a few colleges are opening to experiment it out. In New York city, Governor Cuomo applied a application that gives core-classification residents free training at select state faculties. And a few billionaires like invoice Gates are giving their own cash to check out and repair the approach. And of direction there may be the concept to offer free institution. I do not believe free school. I suppose that when you provide anyone anything free of charge they do not comprehend the worth of it, and that’s just my opinion, and that i consider that there will have to be some rate associated with it.Free college is a exceptional proposal. I’m totally supportive of free college. The trap is: who’s going to pay the bill? In other international locations taxpayers foot many of the invoice. So rather of paying scholar loans later in existence, you are paying higher taxes. Roughly two dozen countries across the world provide free or almost free institution to its residents. The solution on the whole won’t be that easy within the U.S. However with scholar debt rising and the need for a tuition degree fitting increasingly foremost, the future of American schooling depends upon figuring this out. .

However with scholar debt rising and the need for a tuition degree fitting increasingly foremost, the future of American schooling depends upon figuring this out. .
