Omg, so true! We were all expecting Byler to happen in volume 2, what were we thinking?? Of course a twist like that would happen in the last season, and M*leven have to look like they're going strong right now for it to work. Which is also why I think David said that "Mike seems to love Eleven", that's what the audience is supposed to think at this point.
But sometimes I think we're just deluding ourselves and Mike is supposed to be straight and Will will get his happy ending, but it just won't be with Mike. You're one of my favorite Byler blogs, so I was wondering, how confident are you about Byler endgame right now? And do you think we should prepare ourselves for disappointment?
Sadly it's always best to prepare for disappointment when we're talking about queer representation but personally I'm back at 70% now
I'm sure that if Byler does happen it will happen in the finale at this point, idk why I was convinced it would happen in s4 when there's still one season to go obviously it wasn't gonna work!!! 😭
I should have hoped for just a hint more that it was going to happen, and in a way we got it with the Vickie and Robin parallel and them talking in the finale because Vickie broke up with her boyfriend which is paralleled to Mike and El....
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't think David was completely lying when he says that Mike loves her, but I also think there are too many hints and parallels and narrative devices in place for it to not mean that Mike does feel the same for Will or will end up with him in the end
This parallel would be completely nonsense if that wasn't the way it was going to go, there was no need to put it in place otherwise
Plus we also have to remember all the movies in the inspiration board of season 4 where there are so many love triangles that resemble the situation with willelmike so closely like Little Women and all the others that we found...
There's too much to deal with next season and if Mike and El are just okay like this it means that their story is:
Boring and repetitive
Badly written because they aren't written with the same care of the other ships, they don't make the fans love them as much
Weirdly being paralleled to couples that have big incompatibilities like Steve x Nancy and Karen X Ted etc for no reason??? They even have a parallel with Bob and Joyce on them starting the season by kissing and now even in the play Karen and Ted were making out all the time meaning they completed the parallels of "couples that don't work are making out excessively"
And they left the painting lie to be resolved when they could have concluded that storyline in s4 or not used it because that inherently makes Mlv look like they are falling apart
Because the feelings that make Mike feel like he could be vulnerable with his girlfriend are Will's declaration of love for him like.... That looks BAD no matter what
Even if Mike was completely genuine in his declaration for El the fact that he gets brought to it by Will looks extremely bad for Mike and El as a couple...
It doesn't make any sense to do this to the supposed "main ship" so it's either byler endgame or Mike is dying
But if Mike dies no one will have a happy ending in that stupid show so I don't see how that could be an ending that "we want" or a happy ending in general like they are saying it will be... Killing Mike would make too many people depressed as fuck and it wouldn't be a good story
But I still have a bit of doubts because maybe they want to follow the awful storytelling of IT and kill a member of the group thinking it's something good or whatever reason they want to delude themselves with... when it will actually always be a shitty ending and a bad decision and mainly what makes me not want to rewatch any IT movies even loving the characters in them

Hi ok first of all im seeing alot of negative energy in your asks so i wanna make it clear that im not tryna be negative like genuinely curious about peoples opinions and yk wanting to talk about stuff i find interesting
So how do you feel about the framing in the last shot in season 4 like yk we have jopper and jancy (jopper is endgame im sure but idk abt jancy) and the will and mike in the middle like
The pairing and framing is very specific and odd like it is supposed to stick out to the viewer (cause yk normally people dont stand that far apart from each other in like pairs of two idk 😭) el in the centre alone makes sense though cause yk she’s in the eye of the storm (lol get it) (storm)
But they could’ve kept this framing but with different pairings too (like the wheelers together and the byers together) idk its just very obvious to me that they wanna make it stick out to the audience (not to mention that its the last shot of the season so obviously important)
And it doesn’t necessarily have to foreshadow byler but then what do you think it’s foreshadowing (cause there is something going on and yk the duffers love playing around like that)
ofc! i love getting questions from byler fans about my point of view!! let's just be nice to each other ❤️
Tumblr media
well i see you're asking about this final scene
*jopper- well they're standing together bc they are endgame ofc!🙄🙄 we all know that, but also they were together in s4 in a team- they're an iconic duo fr
*jancy- first thing, they're canonically still together, we know that they have some issues but we're hoping they'll have a happy ending and will be an endgame duh🙄🙏🏻
* eleven - as you just said, she's in the eye of the storm, she's gonna be the main person who's gonna fight vecna, it's gonna be her final fight, her revenge to get a justice for Max and for Hawkins (also why mike is not next to her? not only bc they were kinda separated from each other at the end, but also bc mike can't be in her shadow, he's probably gonna have an important thing to do this season, the same goes with Will)
* byler - well as i said before i think eleven is separated from them so people will pay more attention to them and their role in final season, second thing and you have to agree with me at this point - they were such an iconic duo this season (+ we know that it's canon that Will likes Mike) so yeah, even if we won't focus at romantic stuff here i bet they're gonna be one of the most iconic duo this season!! (let's hope🙏🏻or else👹)
* you said that maybe wheelers and byers could stand together but idk about this one tbh😭 it's probably connected to the fact that- 1)We want jancy to be explained, bc nancy doesn't know why Jonathan was acting so weird and yk we also have a problem with steve and his 6 chicken nuggets....😭. 2) We want byler (some of us romantically, some of us platonically) but still we want things to be explained between them right? Well that's how i see it, hope it helps!❤️

Ok so, the new episode has evoked multiple trains of thought in my head and although they all are related to the buck/tommy/eddie situation, i think it makes sense to put them down in several categories here:
Overall feel of the show at abc: i'm gonna say that the show definitely feels a bit unsettled after the network change, they seem to have a hard time balancing personal relationship plots and actual firefighter stuff. I know a lot of the cases in previous seasons were silly but they were still believable. The whole cruise disaster thing was just so over the top and now in the last 2 episodes there has been next to no action. The promo for next week's episode looks kinda like absolute mayhem. I do believe the abc team will figure this out and that they just need a little time to get comfortable but it's defo noticeable.
Buck's character: completely removed from his new romantic relationship, i am soooo loving his coming out arc. They've shown 2 amazing coming out scenes and one (and a half) dates and yet the word bisexual didn't even need to be said!!! It just makes sense as a story on its own!! It feels so natural and buck seems so so happy and in love and settled and has gobsmacking chemistry with tommy. I love that we get to watch him make mistakes and get things right while figuring himself out, it just feels so close to real life and i think the writers (and actors) are doing a fantastic job here.
Tommy's character: OBSESSED WITH HIM. HE'S SO FUNNY. And i think he's an excellent first male love interest for buck because he doesn't beat around the bush. He's comfortable in his own skin and is very aware that he doesn't have to give that up for buck despite crushing on him hardcore. I love that he gives buck the space to make mistakes and come to terms with his bi-ness, but not at the expense of himself. He is a great mature influence on buck and i think will eventually help him to become confident in his sexuality in a way buck may have taken way longer to do on his own. Which leads me to ...
The buck/tommy relationship: this is where things start to get complicated. My head says "let's microanalyse every scene in regards to buddie" but my heart says "enjoy how fucking cute buck and tommy are being on screen right now". I DON'T WANT THEM TO BREAK UP. AT ALL. THEY ARE CRAZY ABOUT EACH OTHER. WHIPPED, IN FACT!!! I do think buck/tommy isn't "endgame" per se but i do think they fit so well together, they should be given the opportunity to last a little while at least. Buck needs someone like tommy now who will hold him accountable while being entirely sympathetic. It's a great dynamic that i would be very sad to see go (and so would buck i think because i have never seen heart eyes that intense on that man before....)
Buck/eddie: look. I can't unsee it, just like everybody else. Doesn't matter how cute tommy and buck are, i hold my breath whenever buck and eddie share a scene now. There's some weird shit happening there. I think the writers have been very clever with the latest episode because it leaves buck and eddie on good terms without insinuating what exactly comes next. Buck is completely focused on tommy right now (which is good!) and eddie has his own stuff going on, so a rushed buddie arc would make zero sense right now. As a lot of people have already said, buddie is very much a long-haul game and while we can start to see seeds at this point, i'd hate to rush into it. Cause the slow burn is part of the fun right :D right ????
Eddie: eddie. My silly goose. I love what they're doing with him this season. He seems so much more able to let loose and enjoy himself. He's getting sillier and i love that for him. He also seems to have headspace for new things now.... such as recognising that he's limited by catholic guilt..... which is the number one symptom of being into hot godly women.... right ... right..... I'd probably kill a man to quiz the writers on how they came up with the concept of eddie/tommy. Because that means they've thought about how gay eddie would make sense. They will have discussed his motivations and experiences over the last few seasons and recontextualised them. And mould them into the life of a closeted gay man. Gnawing. Clawing, even.
Conclusion: buck/tommy slay. Hate to see them go. Would love to see eddie be gay and get his own independent coming out arc just like buck did. Want them to be gay buddies for a while. And then see what that makes of the situation.....

(I sent this yesterday after my first ask but I don't think you got it, my wifi was bad.) No I get it, I agree that just because actors speak positively or lightheartedly about it, doesn't mean byler is endgame / Will gets a perfect happy ending. I know everyone always says "Don't compare them to other shows/ships" but. It really truly would not be the first time something like this happened and I would be extremely disappointed but not that surprised. Imo, giving a tragic character a tragic (or just meh) ending is bad, but the duffers might think it's peak television. Or maybe they are the kind of people who think Will not getting the guy is "just realistic". And actors could just say what they're told to, what fits the current vibe or whatever. Idk. I won't know until I have seen s5 myself. Byler and happy Will make narrative sense to me but that doesn't really mean much. I'm v curious about all your predictions now, what do you think is most likely gonna happen to everyone?
I honestly can't be certain about anything, tbh I try not to think too much abt S5 bc if I do I'll set expectations for myself that'll never end up happening lmao but if I'm talking in a positive the best I can see realistically go down is some sort of weird ambiguous gay ending? think something like Sam and Frodo.. in a more negative way I feel like all the events of these season do matter whether we like them or not, the lie abt the painting is going to be revealed and just like will said at rinkomania when mike finds out abt it he's gonna be mad and they'll def argue (the only good thing I can hope out of this is will getting the last word in an argument for once lol) like.. I'm not sure how big of a storyline this will be, I can definitely see vecna trying to use this all for his advantage to try to get will on his side, and honestly? If he's in a bad state emotionally I can see him being persuaded, ''my life started the day we find you in the woods'' remember? Vecna is definitely bringing that back lmao
I feel like this whole season was just building up ammunition to try to get will to break or snap or something next season(and I'm soooo not looking forward to seeing this tbh this season was already enough angst to last me a lifetime) but like despite all of this, Im like 100% that henry and will are meant to be character foils of each other, so whatever happens I think will end up going against him bc at the end of the day o don't think the duffers spent 4 seasons showing how selfless and kind will is to just end up straight up turning him into a villain, also how homophobic that would be....
Also m*leven side note I have no idea what's in store for them, idk how a love confession led by a lie is meant to be a good thing for them (and not any lie btw, wills feelings disguised as elevens) in my head this is something that should doom the entire relationship + the fact that max died during the monologue (just like Nancy and barb) but in reality the only thing this will do is just something to set up some conflict for them for the season just so they have something to argue about before they end up getting back together towards the end of the season like they always do... there's also the weird looming idea of marriage that makes my skin crawl but as much as I hate it I feel like it might be an actual possibility 😐 like I'm soooo serious if this happens I'm not watching S5 at all
There's more stuff that I think that might happen in s5 especially with all the time references they have been making throughout the show but if I get into that this answer will be 500 pages long so I'll also expect to be something time related, maybe even time manipulation especially related to will, I can also see vecna try to give him the opportunity to go back so none of this would've happened and he could've been able to live a normal life but will like the angel he is would tell him no and to fuck off, but this is more leaning into a full on theory based on nothing so idk what's the likelihood of it happening lol, thanks for the ask btw!!

I've got a lot of thoughts on this finale.
starting with the length.
27 minutes? really?
I'm not asking for a 2 hour episode but cmon, at least give us something closer to 40 minutes.
next, the characters
the characters just didn't feel like themselves, especially portwell.
all season long we saw how much potential they had, how well communicated they were, how good they were at being a proper, healthy couple, and now they just can't talk to each other?
it doesn't feel like them.
portwell had arguably the best set up of all the other ships, they showed us how good they had the potential to be only to throw in a cheap plot to wrap it up? I would understand that they want some angst to make the ending all the more satisfying, but this was pathetic.
there I said it.
of all the ways to add drama in a ship, don't use the one that completely contradicts their entire development.
paired with the length of the episode, it seemed even more poorly written.
here I made a lovely, handy dandy homemade graph to represent how I see portwell's storyline:
Tumblr media
as i said before, we saw the build up being nearly perfect. they peaked during episodes 9-11 because they just had the chemistry, the communication, and the most potential to be the endgame couple.
they just got eachother.
then we get Jamie popping in for 10 seconds and erasing a lot of that, only for mediator Ashlyn to jump in and solve their problems.
then there's the "kiss".
I know that Sofia is underage and that even if she/her legal guardians consent to the kiss, the writers can still decide not to show it, but still. In my opinion, if you're not going to show the kiss, then don't bother.
there are other ways to establish a relationship that would work better in this situation. Of course if they get together they'll have to kiss sometime, but one way they could postpone it is by having Gina be a bit more reluctant to give away her first kiss like that. it could also show how accomodating EJ is.
I like to think that Gina is very meticulous when making decisions so she'll probably want to be very sure of the relationship before giving him her first kiss. perhaps she'd stick to cheek kisses until she's ready, and then she kisses him and he's surprised.
that would've been, in my opinion, a sufficient way to hold off the kiss while still wrapping up portwell until season 3 when Sofia would be 18 (assuming they get picked up for S3 this summer then start filming fall-winter. Sofia will be 18 in January).
as my friend @rtcosley (idk why it's not letting me tag them, so their page is linked) said,
"They created like 10 plots
And instead of wrapping it up
They added 4 more"
there's just so much more they could've done...it's the season finale for crying out loud.
I get that seblos already had (what I assume is) their storyline for the season, the fight and resolution. Ignoring the fact that that only lasted for 2 episodes and didn't have anything to do with what we were expecting, (i.e.the financial differences between their families, as mentioned in episode 1, the fact that everyone treats seb like he's stupid, this being carlos' first show and the drama that the stress of that caused, etc.), seblos had to purpose this episode than to stand next to eachother and be gay.
I get that they're not part of the core four or anything, but the poster for season 2 has all of them, as opposed to season 1 just being the core four.
They deserved better, just like redlyn and kowie.
redlyn's arc was pretty early in the season compared to the other ships. they had Ashlyn confessing her insecurities in episode 3, antoine stirring the pot of confusion and causing a bit of distance between them briefly, and then big red confessing his goals and plans for the future in episode 8 and for the rest of it, we just see them getting closer and more comfortable with each other and caring about each other more and more.
they had a good arc together.
but that's just it. I wanted to see them have their own arcs. but then again, this show can't seem to balance multiple storylines. I think it is possible, but not when they keep adding new characters that don't contribute anything much to the story(more on that later).
kowie's storyline is... confusing.
I really like their dynamic, how carefree and happy Kourtney gets around him, how she's remaining true to herself and managing a million and one things, plus a relationship in her own without losing herself to it all.
but the main issue I have is that the entire development was never shown.
we went from strangers, to coworkers, to friends that flirt, to lovers that text constantly and went on numerous dates (and Howie met her mother at some point). but all of that, was off screen.
it's like the writers made every episode with them in it kind of thrown in at a new stage of relationship progression and said "here, accept this, no questions asked because we don't have answers"
I just wish we could've seen more of howie trying to get in her good side again after episode 7 because it seems like that's when a lot of it happened.
I appreciate the Rini scene in this episode, seems to be the very end of them, for good this time.
i'm happy about that.
Ricky especially deserves to be free for a while to focus on his development, and Nini has the chance now to really shine through her talents and make a name for herself.
The Rini storyline is the only one I'm fully satisfied with.
now, that being said;
what the heck are they trying to pull with Lily and Ricky rn???
just like that.
after lily being the villain this whole season, they're just gonna not redeem her and then have her confess her feelings to Ricky, a guy she barely knows and only talked to to harass and intimidate, and for him to reject her publicly then call her afterwards?
please I hope it's just to say "you dropped something, here it is and never contact me again, thanks." /hj
speaking of the villains, this season was promoted as the season of rivalry between North and East High right? so why did that plot idea only progress in about 3 out if 12 episodes?
we got Zackey Roy in there for a few episodes then he disappeared, Lily just caused Gina to stay true to her friends in episode 2 and 7 and then basically did nothing else?
this is what I mean by the new characters providing nothing to the show.
the writers can't manage having so many characters and plots at once so they start so many promising arcs, only to kick them aside later on.
we already know that the first half of the season felt like filler episodes, so I think they could've cut those down to leave room for the more important plots to take root, rather than have them pop up and get rushed at the end of the season.
all that, and they just add 4 more plots at the end of the season.
this post sounds very negative looking back...but if I'm being honest with myself, I'm just very very disappointed.
I love this show so much and I really expected better for the season finale, especially if they don't know if it's getting renewed or not.
given the IMDB ratings of this episode so far, I don't have very high expectations for the renewal, but I'm still hopeful because this show is a great thing, one of the best things that happened to me over the course of this quarantine. I've become so attached to this show, the cast and the friends I made through it, that I don't know what I would do if it just ends like this. writing these reviews and posts about this season has been so fun for me to do and thinking that this may be the very last one is a painful thought.
I'm sorry if you were expecting this post to be as light-hearted as my other posts about the episodes, I just had a lot to say about this episode in particular.
all my episode posts are tagged with "#guac's episode text blocks :)" in case you wanna read through and reminisce the simpler times🥲

Destiel Chronicles
Vol. LXX
It was a love story from the very beginning.
Cas, Cas, Cas
(11x18)
Hi! We just reached one of my favorite episodes, I'm talking about "Hell's Angel" or… Dean's desperate quest to rescue his angel.
Joshua's Horn
Just a few words about the Hand of God chosen in this chapter: Joshua's Horn.
One of the books that compose the Bible from the Old Testament is Joshua, if you read chapter 6, it talks about how the Jewish people, more exactly seven priests, broke down Jericho's walls using seven  horns. Jericho was a strong city, that had closed it's walls, and it was blocking the path through the promised land.
So, the symbology of all of this is… with faith, you can destroy any wall that stands between you and your dreams.
What this has to do with Destiel and this episode? I would say, everything.
Dean will remain firm in his decision to get Cas back, he doesn't care about Amara or any end of the world, he wants Cas. As we will see later, his plan in how to do it, is reckless and illogical if you think about war.
But let's come back to analogy I made before about making the walls to collapse, to defeat the fears, depression, repression, to reach our treasurer once for all: Wasn't Dean trying to do this when he summoned Casifer? Trying to reach Castiel? To break down those walls between vessel and Lucifer and get to his angel?
Wasn't Cas sinked inside his own walls of sadness, depression and guilt?
Isn't Dean true love for Castiel surrounded by walls of shame? (recalling here the Qareen speech).
Priorities
Let's speak now about a canon fact here, I'm not gonna say something new, but because I was pointing the clues in previous episodes, I have to talk about it.
When Dean and Sam went to see Crowley, it was very blatant the difference between Sam's priorities and Dean's.
Sam: Dean's right. Priority is to put the Horn in Lucifer's hands and set him loose on Amara.
Dean: After we exorcise Lucifer out of Cas and put him into a new vessel.
Sam: What? Really?
Dean: Yes, really. We're not gonna send Lucifer into battle inside Cas. What if he doesn't make it?
Here is something you all already know: WAR DECISION vs HEART DECISION. Sam thinks war strategy, his plan is pure logic, in every war there's collateral damage. Cas is the one that had chosen that path, he is willing to be the collateral damage, self sacrifice for the greatest good. But Dean is following his heart (thank you Mildred) he loves Castiel, the angel is the love of his life and he doesn't want to see him die. Because there's not normal after that. (Thanks Michelle).
Sam: Dean, it's a strong vessel. It's held Cas for years, and we know what he's been through. I'm guessing it can hold Lucifer.
Dean: "It"? It's not an "it," Sam. It's Cas.
Sam is strategic, he tries to separate the vessel from the angel. Trying to make his brother to see, the vessel is strong. But Dean is in love with him, so he doesn't see that logic. Cas is not a vessel, is family.
Sam: And Cas wanted to do this.
Dean: Yeah, well, there's times I want to get slapped during sex by a girl wearing a Zorro mask. That don't make it a good idea.
Sam keeps trying to make his brother understand. Sam loves Cas too, but in a different way, they are truly friends, truly brothers. They respect each other, they think alike. Sam understands why Cas took that decision, and he respects it. He respects his friend so much, he wants to fulfill his desire of being useful to the fight. But Dean doesn't see it like this, because Castiel doesn't represents a friend or a brother to him, Castiel represents the love of his life.
Sam: Dean, this is exactly how we screw ourselves. W-We make the... the heart choice instead of the smart choice.
Sam knows Cas is strategic like him, Cas is a smart Commander. He respects him. And he is seeing with his own eyes how Dean is the one thinking with his heart here. He can plenty see why is that.
Dean: Oh, okay. Thank you, Dr. Phil. Cas is family.
Sam: Yes, and his choice deserves to be respected.
Dean: Even if it kills him?
Sam has a point, is like a friend respecting his best friend decision. Even if that will take him to the death. Sam saw Cas for  a brief  moment and talked with him. He knows exactly what Castiel wants. But Dean can't let Cas to go through that, and die. His worst fears is to lose Castiel as Michelle lost her husband.
Dean had to see it with his own eyes
When they summon Casifer, the expression in Dean face is DISGUST, ANGER. Is canon in the fandom too the whole scene in which Castiel appears in front of him. The amazing change of facial expression is priceless, Dean went from disgust, to desperation, heart eyes and pleading. (An Oscar for Mr. Ackles).
He runs towards his angel, calling him, but Cas seemed confused. And in just one seconds, Casifer is back, even so, Dean kept calling him, he kept trying to brake the Jericho's walls.

Dean: Cas, expel him! You got to kick Lucifer out! Do you hear me?!
Lucifer: Honestly, I think he's happy with the arrangement. I mean, he did invite me in and all, Dean.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dean [yelling, desperate]: Cas!
Lucifer [mockingly]: Cas!
Dean glares at Lucifer, in frustration and anger.
This scene, THIS ONE HERE, showing us again that Lucy knows. He knows about the strong bond between these two love birds. But he's a little done of it. That's why he mocks, annoyed. And Dean's face again, surprise and anger.
But that last quote coming from Lucifer, saying Cas is happy with their arrangement is what breaks Dean's heart again.
That's the thing Sam was saying, not exactly, but the painful words CAS WANTS THIS. CAS WANTS TO STAY IN PURGATORY. CAS WANTS TO BE POSSESSED AND GIVE HIS LIFE FOR THE GREATEST GOOD.  Castiel's hard decision that keeps him away from Dean. Dean can't handle this. Cas doesn't want to be saved.
Another confirmation of this is when Crowley enters inside the Castiel's vessel. And he finds Cas sitting in the Bunker's kitchen, is his safe place, he doesn't want to be disturbed, he doesn't want to be moved from there.
Castiel: Wait. That was Dean I saw a minute ago, wasn't it?
Crowley: Yes.
Castiel: And he wants me to expel Lucifer?
Crowley: Yes!
Castiel [laughing]: Ha, ha, ha! Well... he may have a more objective view of the situation. Maybe I should.
Dean may have a more objective view of the situation, because he saw he wants him back. But why Cas says 'Maybe I should' ? Is because he is thinking too he wants to be with Dean. He wants to be with him. Because he loves him too. He has to fight against his own love for Dean, and be useful to the fight. War decision against Heart decision.
So when Crowley comes back, his words went straight to Dean's ears …
Crowley: Useless. Lucifer's hold on him is too strong.
So, Dean should give up? He won't. Because when Amara irrumped and kidnaps Casifer, (another Canon fact) our hunter in love, bonded for eternity to his angel, calls his name again… in that amazing scene in which Amara put that face of WHAT??? IS HE CALLING THAT ANGEL IN MY PRESENCE???? I'M HERE!!!! YOU SHOULDN'T BE CALLING ANOTHER NAME THAN MINE! And Casifer showed us a… OH SHOOT… THEY'RE SO STUBBORN, AREN'T THEY? EVEN WITH ANTIE HERE… HE CALLS FOR HIS NAME.

Dean's longing, calling Castiel's name, even with Amara there, is the perfect proof of the Profound Bond is intact, and that Dean won't never give up on getting Cas back alive.

At the end of the episode we had a very sad Dean, learning the lesson, a hard one…
Sam: Listen, um... I know I came down on the side of wanting Cas to deal with Amara, so...
Dean: Well, that's what he wanted, though, right? Besides, didn't we say that we were gonna swear off getting in the way when one person makes a choice the other doesn't agree with?
Sam: Yeah, um... Yeah, we did say that.
Dean: So...
Sam: Okay. So, that's our policy.
Tumblr media
Gif credit @some-people-call-it-tragic
Dean: Which sounds damn good. [Sam chuckles.] Well, let's go find that idiot and bring him home.
It was hard for him, but he understood. Cas wants this, but he won't give up on him. Even so, Dean's heart breaks at this, and he will show it from now on, feeling he was rejected by Castiel, one more time, he will begin to use the WE vs the I, and to call him BROTHER, in the last episode from this season.
To Conclude
'Hell's Angel' talks about breaking walls to reach what you really want. Dean wants Cas back and safe, over any other Apocalypse. He understood Cas took his decision, and is the angel's will to be in that situation. But even so, he will try to save him.
The profound bond is so strong, it brights even with Amara attempts to control Dean's will. Because Dean is in love with Cas, period.

You don't think they'll kill one of them off at the end of oitnb do you? Alex and Piper I mean. Like after all that, surely they're endgame? Also, idk why, but I always figured it'd be Alex proposing in a way? But I liked the way they did it and thank fuck we got some flashbacks of them, although I'd prefer if they had been more fleshed out. But no Stella! Hurrah!!!
I mean, I’ve ALWAYS been pretty sure they were gonna be endgame since season one (again, you don’t just toss out lines like that inevitable one without meaning it on shows like this) but after season three hit, yeah, I got a little concerned they’d off one of them to be edgy or to make up for other fan outrage mistakes or SOMETHING. but after this season I feel pretty confidant again? I don’t want to say I’ll ever trust it like I did after season two, they could still paint themselves into a corner & sort of lose control of the story, but I think Piper & Alex are going to be okay. if anything at this point I can see them WRITING them off the show somehow over anything else? which. would be fine with me. as long as they were happy & healthy because then honestly maybe I could leave too. a girl can dream.
but yeah, like… I kind of keep saying it, but I think part of the reason I loved this season so much is because it made Alex & Piper feel normal again?? like it just felt really good & like… closure on a lot of the issues they kept making them go back & forth on. the flashbacks felt so concrete & confirming & Yoga sort of making Alex say some of those things out loud & face that she’s gotta stop pushing Piper away as much as Piper’s gotta stop running, it all just felt like really… closure… ing… ish… closureingish. IT FELT GOOD. okay. like. I’m just gonna ride this high until things about next season start coming out & making me worry again. it’s fine. I’ve got at least six months.
tbh I kind of like Piper being the one who proposed. this is like… gonna be a little sloppy & disjointed because it’s hard to formulate what exactly I want to say but, it felt more natural. ESPECIALLY after that episode because yeah, Alex is kind of beaten down by how many times she’s lost Piper. it’s like in season one when she told her she hearts her. that always felt so raw to me because it’s like Alex WANTS to tell her she loves her again & she WANTS to ask Piper to spend the rest of her life with her but she’s always gonna be kind of afraid that it won’t last or the answer will change again somewhere down the line or that Piper will eventually break her heart again. which like. fair. because she HAS done it a lot. but the last couple seasons have sort of been Piper coming to terms with the fact that she has to be there for Alex as much as she needs Alex to be there for HER. & I think she really HAS been pushing to be more dependable in that regard in the last two seasons. all of her arcs with Alex have been about proving that she’s HERE now & telling Alex she needs HER here too. I think ultimately it HAD to be Piper. because that’s kind of the best way to make Alex believe it’s real? she means it. like… I really loved the flashback were Piper called Alex because it kind of confirmed that she never DID bury her or forget her. like we all sort of assumed. it kind of filled in the blanks where we thought there was nothing, & showed that there was still… Alex. so like… idk… I just think THAT’S what makes it so huge & important & heavy??? it was always ALEX saying “I love you” first & losing, & she sort of needed that confirmation that Piper’s gonna stay. which she’s stopped asking for & stopped expecting. so the fact that Piper comes to her unprompted & lays it out like that. I just. I think it was so well done. I loved it.
& like don’t hate me. but. that felt like a really good final flashback episode for them? like. IDK. it just felt like Piper calling Alex & all that fallout around Alex naming her & then sort of like… idk… then the proposal… it all just felt so… like closure. I KEEP SAYING THAT BUT I DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO EXPRESS IT. it felt like we don’t HONESTLY need anymore flashbacks. like… I’d LIKE them. but it feels like we have a full sort of understanding of where they were without each other. which was… truly never actually WITHOUT each other. y’know? IDK. IT JUST FELT GOOD.
