#Knives' casual cruelty towards vash disguised under his love and also his disregard for anything human scares me so I wanted to draw that

#no but seriously i was wondering how long it would take for someone to bring this up#one thing that really struck me upon watching Stampede was just how straight-up abusive Knives and Vash's relationship really is#Knives treats Vash like a mentally-challenged child#like he's someone too stupid and too naive to make his own decisions#he's furious with Vash for leaving him and taking the humans' side as well which means Vash must pay#so he takes away everything and everyone that Vash loves in order to force him to go back#to the last remaining point of familiarity in his life aka his brother#when all the humans are gone all they'll have left is each other and then Vash will see the light because Knives will make him see#also he literally cut Vash's arm off if Stampede goes the way of the manga and anime so there's that as well#not something you do to someone if you have a loving and healthy relationship :/#the fact that he keeps slicing other people's arms off when Vash is around might imply he's just rubbing salt in the wound#trigun#whump
