hey guys so it was really good [speechless]

ok everyone i need opinions. do i get popcorn AND a coke for the brutalist later today. apparently the first part is about an hour and a half so it's kind of not too bad if i can go to the bathroom real quick during the inrtermission.

#i really enjoyed it. i do not believe the 2nd part falls apart? wild thing to say i think the 2nd part is very deliberate #the epilogue made me feel sad. i've read many interpretations and personally i'm not the best at film analysis #but it felt very ironic to me. i don't think i could ever take that last line at face value.#the shift from complete immersion in laszlo's life to this outside perspective of his life and work #even if it's his niece. it's a presentation and it's a celebration but the journey was important. and it was arduous. and it was terrible.#and laszlo is old and his wife is gone and there will be explanations for his art that will be take at face value but he doesnt speak on it #and then bringing it back to that shot of zsofia from the beginning.#IDK MANY THOUGHTS. it was a very good movie i liked it a lot #adrien brody was fantastic GUY PEARCE WAS REALLY FANTASTIC sorry kieran but i think im rooting for ole monum here #according to jules
