okay so siffrin's stuck in the time loop. we know this. siffrin restarts to how his body starts at the start of the loop, okay, and all that changes is that siffrin knows how to better take pain, and also craft. experience. whatever.

so the dragon au in my brain is like. siffrin's always been able to transform into a dragon, they just forgot how to and keep this form. but the more they stay in the loops, the more their mental state falls apart. and while they stay the same at the start of the loops, when they're falling apart, the dragon side of them wants to break free because. well. it wants to react and be out! kinda thing.

what if physical representation of someone's mental state going down the gutter.

what starts as simply some scales on their arm at the king grows into scales under their eyes at the final snack break grows to it being visible on the mirror and a nagging headache from the horns growing in, and accidentally biting your lip thanks to the sharper teeth at the second snack break...

to the clusterfuck that is painfully regaining your features all at once when you take what you have and decide to run it through the shredder because you're just running singlemindedly towards a goal and the wish you are breaking reflects very badly to the transformation you've been staving off through the loops.

siffrin didn't have wings until the final loop. nor did they have a tail.

loop has wings. and a tail. and the whole star business going on. siffrin thinks, surely this star can know what's going on, when they start noticing their own transformation.

... Loop... doesn't. (Sure, they may have been stuck and in a mental health rut, but they purposefully kept looping to the final hours before the king. the most they could get was scales before getting killed.)
