well, now i understand the dominance of paddy/eoin and paddy/augustin on AO3: SK committed for once and decided subtext was not enough
sulking like achilles in his tent
#i mean why not#watching sk's stuff soooooooooooo much like the buzz of excellent fanfic; that rare intersect of entertainment and meaning#dunno if it's because he draws mostly from real events and leverages for a narrative and character arc. his approach=transformative fiction#or because of that underlying love sk has for men. all men. all kinds of men even narrative monsters.#he just loves his characters so much#sas rogue soldiers#that wrestling in the sand and the russian roulette after#[hides his eyes / i cannot see] i did not find his body / i did not find his body#now i'm suddenly really keen to see what happens in the PB movie because there is a legitimate possible intersection of SAS + PB verse#the dead gazelle = the eating/burying of eoin's body#depending on where you look the gazelle is a symbol of female beauty#or of rebirth/resiliance#that said i am saddened at the lack of furious dudley clarke/david stirling#stirling's weird petty uppercrust daddy-mummy issues that could be explored with a crossdressing daddy figure who absolutely despises you#how dare you redesign my logo!
