Thank god im not disgustingly flexible anymore honestly junior year felt like a curse bc I had no time to stretch but now I have like a perfect balance of strength and flexibility it's nice
#like last year at the TOC intensive I just felt like I had no control and everyone was judging me#and I was so nervous going in this year because I hadn't danced much this summer#but I did so much better and actually got the combos and got called out a few times#I don't remember being called out once last year#the combo of ballet+stretching more reasonably/less+physical therapy+rest balanced me out and I'm better for it#I was just watching Anna McNulty's videos and they are honestly terrifying#it just seems like she stretches obsessively which I used to#and it gets to a point where it's no longer helping you#and you just start losing strength#and you have to flop into every position#not to be mean to her#I just wish she realized that what she is doing is so damaging and she could SERIOUSLY pull something#or dislocate somethint#or just wear away at her joints generally#which she probably is#it's not worth it even if you get attention from it#I barely stretch anymore and I still have legs!!!!!#because I can hold em up!!! and my supporting leg actually stays in place and doesn't shake because my hip is too flexible#like that video I posted is such an improvement for me#if I had done that 2 years ago it would have been hideous#I definitely couldn't have done that attitude my back was so weak!!#anyways this was long and off topic#thanks for reading this far#k bye
