Hello, my dear. I really enjoy your SMB drabbles.
May I please have this drabble request “Please don’t shut me out.” with Mario and Luigi?
Do send me an ask if you’d like one too and please take your time, my dear.
I took some liberties with this one, it's more than a drabble. I present a mini sequel to Mario Bros: Thanks for Everything (expanded edition). We open thirteen years and a few months after the events of the movie.
"Daaaaad!" Geno raced into the throne room and up the stairs. "I can't find Uncle Weege!" Mario and Peach both laughed as their son scrambled into his father's lap to sulk.      "I looked everywhere! He's not in his room."      "Did you check the library?" Mario prompted, chuckling at Geno's definition of 'everywhere'.    Geno nodded. "Yeah, he's not there, either. And nanny says it's too cold out to check outside."    Coaxing his son to stand, Mario got up with a soft grunt. "All right, you go back to Nanny Penny, I'll see where Luigi is."      "Thanks dad."
The marble floors and walls of the castle echoed with the soft tapping of the custom-made shoes as Mario made his way to the gardens, faint worry tugging at his mind.    The king relaxed a little as he went out, the scent of fireplaces lit with fragrant wood drifting up faintly from the town. The trees were shifting to autumn colors and the bushes around the gardens were dressed in their finest royal reds, golds, and shades of purple.    Following the path that was covered in a natural canopy of tree branches, he came to the cliffside that overlooked the lake and training grounds. Seated on the bench was a figure dressed in royal blue slacks, with a forest green long sleeve shirt and a wrap made of the finest gold fabric to keep away the chill. He wore dark green-framed glasses that accented his brown mustache and black goatee.      "Was wondering if you were out here." Mario said, taking the open spot beside him.      "Hey." Luigi replied softly.    Shifting uncomfortably in the following quiet, Mario lightly cleared his throat.      "Geno was lookin' for you. I think he's in the mood to play if you're up to it. Or maybe spend some time with him tonight at dinner. Maybe a movie with Uncle Art."    Something flickered in Luigi's expression at the mention of the weekly family dinner.      "Y-Yeah, about that..."    Peach looked up from talking with the Royal Councilor as her husband returned to the throne room and climbed the steps. Geno, who was sitting at his mother's feet, jumped up.      "Did you find him? Can we play?!"    Motioning for him to come over, Mario put a hand on Geno's shoulder.      "Geno, you know how sometimes Mirra gets really sad and needs 'alone time'?" A look of understanding came over Geno's face. "Uncle Weege needs it, huh?"      "Yeah," Mario said softly, "so we gotta give him some time, okay? And when he's ready, he'll need a lot of hugs."      "Okay." Geno hugged his father. "Thanks dad. I'll go play with Mirra. Bye!" he bounced cheerfully down the steps. Peach turned to Mario.      "Luigi's been growing more and more distant lately, not playing with the kids, barely talking at meals. Is he at least coming tonight?"    Rubbing his forehead, Mario sighed. "He said he wants to stay here. He's just not up to going."      "He's okay with feeling seperated from you? Mario, I'm worried, this isn't like him at all."    The king sighed again. "I know. It's like he's shutting down. I couldn't get him to talk to me." Mario became lost in thought. "Maybe I could get some help..."
Later that evening, at a cozy apartment in Brooklyn...      "So that's it, Ma." Mario said as he placed the dishes in the sink. "I don't know what to do."    Marianna leaned against the counter, arms folded as she thought about it.      "Is he shutting down, or shutting you out?"    A pause. "He's eating, but not really sleeping much. I hear him up at night. He's just not talkin' much, not doing things like he used to."    A hum and Marianna was heading for the kitchen doorway and calling out. "Gio, can I talk with you a minute?"
Luigi muttered to himself, pacing in his room. He had changed to plain clothes finding the royal outfit suffocating once 'The Feeling' hit. The nervousness that swept over him when Mario left was soon eased and he sighed, leaning against the desk chair as he felt his twin return. It wasn't much later he heard the kids laughing and talking as Peach took them to their room. He faintly smiled at the sound.    There was a knock at his bedroom door.      "Come in." he called. The door opened and he gasped softly. "Mamma." He rushed over to her open arms and she held him, kissing his cheek. "My baby, I missed you at dinner tonight."    Luigi stepped back, looking ashamed. He turned away as Mario came in.      "Just didn't feel like traveling." Luigi said, avoiding looking at his family.    Mario and Marianna glanced at each other and Mario stepped forward. "Lu, what's going on? You're not yourself lately. You barely talk, you don't spend time with the kids, it feels... It feels like you don't care anymore."    Marianna coughed softly and Mario took the hint, motioning for her to step in.      "What your brother means is, we're worried about you." she said gently. Keeping his back to them Luigi wandered over to the fireplace, stopping to look at the small shrine of items on the mantel. He wrapped his arms around himself, trying to ignore the ache in his chest. Mario felt the ripple of distress up his spine. Going over, he tried putting a hand on Luigi's shoulder only to have his brother wince and pull away.      "Lu, please," Mario begged, "talk to us. Talk to me. Don't shut me out."    Glancing back at the mantle, his gaze landing on the framed photo, Luigi broke.      "It hurts." he went over to the bed and collapsed on the edge of it. "Going back, seeing th-that empty chair..." he let out a sob. "And I'm scared!" he blurted out, looking up.      "Who will I lose next? I can't do this again!" the emotions he had kept bottled up overwhelmed him, breaking forth. "I guess I, I thought if I pulled away," he sobbed again, his body shaking as he spoke, "It wouldn't hurt so much when it happens."    Mario sat on one side of Luigi and Marianna was on the other, both putting their arms around him.      "I miss him so much! Why does it hurt so bad?!" he cried.      "Oh baby," Marianna wiped at his tears. "It's only going to hurt more if you try to stay alone. I know it's painful. But give it time, it's still fresh."    Mario gave his little brother's hand a squeeze and Luigi saw he had tears in his eyes as well.      "I can't stop the pain, Weege." Mario slipped back to his childhood nickname for him. "B-But I'll share it with you, as long as it takes."    Luigi shuddered. "I don't... I-I..." he broke down again, unable to speak.    An odd sound reached the trio and getting up, Mario pulled open the drawer in the nightstand and lifted out Luigi's music player. The little device had clicked on and the volume was up. The lyrics to the familiar BeeGees song filled the room.    'I don't wanna be alone...'

Osaka, 7:30 a.m.
You're already up cooking a healthy breakfast for everyone because today is the match between Schweiden Adlers and MSBY Black Jackals
You're so excited for this and you really want the team you're managing for to win, you're the manager of Schweiden Adlers
But the excitement is not alone, there's also this strange feeling that something might happen, bad or really bad. So now you're filling your head with questions like: What if you guys lose?  What if someone makes a mistake and gets hurt? What if someone is sick before the match?  You know the boys didn’t want to watch any footage nor didn’t want you to give them any informations about the other team because they want to play having fun and feel the adrenaline rush, they really don't want to know any weaknesses or strengths of the MSBY
Even if you think that they're so childish, you understand them, but you don't want to see them lose, because you know that they keep practicing really hard.
‘Okaasan (mom) what are you cooking?’
You turn around and smile at your princess, Kisara
‘I’m cooking pancakes, your favourites’
‘YAYYYY PANCAKESSSS!!’ your daughter cheerfully shouts
You chuckle at her silliness
‘Isn’t your onii-chan (older brother) awake yet?’
‘Nope’
‘Can you wake him up, please? You guys need to get ready’
She nods and goes off to their room
A few minutes later, they enter the kitchen and your son, Kazuhiko, runs towards you with a big smile ready to jump and hug you
‘OKAASANNN GOOD MORNINGG!’
‘Goodmorning, my handsome prince. Did you sleep well?’
You asked as you embrace him, then you sit him and his sister to the table to eat breakfast.
You go make your own breakfast and sit with them. You keep staring and smiling at the sight of your children eating happily and you just couldn’t help but feel happy.
They’re now three years old and they’re the reason for your sunny smile. You’re really thankful to have such wonderful blessings.
And honestly, you think that the more you look at them, the more they remind you of their father, Sakusa Kiyoomi, because they look exactly like two mini-versions of him, a little girl and a little boy.
You don’t know how he’s been in the last 3 years because you decided to not have any social accounts on the internet, and you also wonder how is his family doing, because it’s been a while since you saw and heard from them, unfortunately you don’t know any ways to contact them unless you go to their house, but.. you remember that..
After the break up, everything that reminds you of him is too much for your heart, there’s this feeling on your chest, it’s like a node that keeps tightening your heart the more memories keep playing on your head.
‘Stop thinking about him, nothing’s gonna change the fact that he left’ You tell yourself in your head
‘Mom, are you okay?’ Kisara worriedly asks
‘Yes? Ah, yes I’m okay honey, why?’ you reply back
‘Because you look really sad’ She answers back and starts getting sad too, while her brother is eating his meal nonchalantly.
‘Don’t worry, honey, I’m okay, finish your breakfast and go brush your teeth.’ You tell them so you won’t be late
‘Yes, mom’ both of them replied
‘Oh, right, your uncle Ryota will be back today. He will pick you up at Aunt Satsuki and then you’ll go to the Arena to watch the game, okay?’
They got really surprised that Ryota is finally coming home
They both yelled ‘OTOOSANNN (dad) IS COMING HOMEEE!!’ at the same time
You just let them call him ‘dad’. This started when one day they got home really sad because all the kids in the kindergarten got picked up by their dads most of the time and when the kids asked the twins why their dad never picks them up, they couldn’t and didn’t know what to say
They started to call him dad when you three were hanging out with Ryota and the twins subconsciously called him ‘Otoosan’ and he got really surprised, but he never denied nor told them that he wasn’t their real dad, instead he just let them
You’re really grateful, but one day they will find out the truth and you don’t know how will they react. You really fear that day, because you feel that they’re not going to trust you like they are trusting you now…
After a few minutes, you’re all ready to leave the house
‘Let me put your shoes on and let’s go to aunt Satsuki’s home.. also’ you said ‘also’ with a stern voice.
‘She accepted to look after you when she has no work, so you better not stress her out, okay?’
They nod really fast and nervously, but you find that really cute and adorable.
Tumblr media
You are now having a conversation with Satsuki after arriving at her house, the conversation’s really going well that you have lost track of the time and fortunately Kagayema called asking why you’re not in the venue yet
After the call you say bye to the kids and Satsuki and hop on the car. Carefully driving fast the 20 minutes gap between you and the Arena
You surprised yourself by the parking you just did, but you don’t have time to congratulate yourself for the outstanding parking
You sprint to the entrance and look for the boys for a good 5 minutes, but you can’t find them so you decide to give up and call Kageyama
‘Yes, Y/N-san?’
‘Kageyama-kun, i tried to find you but i still ended up at the entrance, where are you?’ After that sprint, you’re trying to catch your breath
‘Y/n-san, are you okay? You’re breathing really hard, calm down a bit’
‘Yes, i’m okay. I just ran from the parking to here, by the way, are you coming here?’
‘Ah, i’m coming right now. I was just talking to some friends from high school days. I’ll let you meet them, is that alright?’
‘Yes, no problem at all’ Friends from high school? You ask yourself if he ever said anything about his high school days
You see Kageyama and someone else coming and you walk towards him
‘Kageyama-kun, i’m really *breath* sorry, I thought i was *breath* really going to be late’
‘Relax, you’re just in time y/n-chan’ Hoshiumi says while giggling
You don’t really get why he’s giggling, but then you see your own reflection on a glass, and your hair is really messy right now
Now that you know, you glared at him, giving him chills on his back
Hoshiumi stops his giggling and you go with them to the locker rooms, and Kageyama tells you to wait for a moment
Then he comes back with an orange-haired boy, shorter than Kageyama, but he’s really a sunny guy, you think that whenever he goes in any room, he could probably start a party, he’s like a sunshine
‘Y/n-san, this is Hinata. Hinata this is y/n-san, our manager’ Kageyama says while having some kind of competition
You greet him and say ‘Nice to meet you, Hinata’
Before Hinata could speak, Kageyama says ‘He and I were in the Karasuno volleyball club together’
‘Oh, so you were the one who considered Kageyama-kun as his rival, got it!’ You say jokingly
‘Well, he’s still my rival though, can you tell me if he’s gotten worse.. hmm.. how should i call you? He asks with a big smile
You say ‘I’m L/N F/N, but you can call me with my first name, Y/N’
‘Well, y/n-san, did Kageyama get worse??’ Why do his eyes have sparkles?
‘That.. you’ll see during the match, Hinata-kun, and you should be the judge for that’
‘I’ll see how bad you got, Kageyama’ Is this how their friendship works?
‘This midg-‘ Oh, he stopped himself.
‘Y/n, i’ll briefly introduce you my teammates, hehehe.. do you see that boy with piss- i mean the blond hair? He’s Atsumu’
You giggle to how Atsumu was looking straight to Hinata’s soul without him noticing it, and he continued introducing them to you
‘Hmm..’
You’re confused as to why he has stopped and you’re wondering if he’s looking for someone in the hallways
‘Are you okay, Hinata-kun?’ you ask him
‘We’re missing someone, where’s Saku‘ Saku? Who’s Saku? Is he someone new? you ask in your head
You and the others turn around when you heard a door opening and you heard a familiar voice, catching everyone’s attention
‘You’d better have all gotten your flu shots.’
That voice.. isn’t that..? There’s no way that’s him, right?
As you’re hoping that it isn’t him..
There he is, standing straight at the door, with his face mask on, the man you fell in love with, the man your kids asked for over a year, yet you couldn’t tell them about him, and also the one who decided to leave you to pursue his career as a Pro Volleyball Player
At the sight of him, you can’t move your feet, you’re frozen and paralyzed, you just keep staring at him and have so many questions filling your head
Then, after he finished scanning and asking everyone, he turns his head at you and sees your little figure, you can tell that he’s in pure shock and that he’s surprised
‘Sakusa Kiyoomi’
‘L/N F/N’
You two whispered at the same time

Okay, my heart burst from your latest update with love! You're amazing!!! I have a question, how do you think the aliens would behave if for some reason a human child were to be aboard?
I’m so sorry this took so long!
I’ve rewritten this passage like, fifteen times. I swear, nothing seems good to me.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy it!
Human Josephine Lloyd was five earth years older than her younger brother, Human Fredrick. Human Fredrick mentioned she was one of three siblings he had, and many of the crew began to question him on his family. He simply told him that he had an older brother named Vladimir and a twin named Maximillian. Not many of the crew knew what a twin was, but they never asked.
Xylion was currently awaiting for Human Josephine to come on board the ship. Human Fredrick had invited her on to see the ship. He was told she was somewhat similar to Human Fredrick in looks, but other than that, he knew next to nothing about her.
Xylion of course knew what it was like to have brothers, but a sister? The only female in his family was his mother, but she was hardly around, so she didn’t count.
Captain Zellnor shared how he was the only boy in his family. His father had passed when he was young, so he was left to grow up with his seven sisters and mother.
Sil’keen, the young chef, mentioned that she had sisters and brothers. She said she often took care of her many younger siblings.
Datallion said he was not fortunate enough to have siblings, though everyone simply laughed at him when he said this.
Human Mason never mentioned any family, and Xylion was too nervous to ask him.
Human Isaac said he had two older brothers, but then quickly corrected himself to having a sister and one brother.
Human Jenny said she had an older sister, and a younger brother who was eight earth years younger than her.
Human Quinn mentioned how she had three older sisters and two younger brothers. Human Isaac jokingly asked his girlfriend was part of the LDS community, which she simply rolled her eyes and told him that she wasn’t, but was Christian. Xylion chose not to question them.
They were still discussing their family life when they heard a loud cry from somewhere. Everyone stopped talking to listen for any other noise. Before anyone could ask what had just happened, the sound of something running was heard, and then Xylion felt something grab onto his legs, rooting him in place. All he could do was cry out, fear chilling him to the bone. And, of course, he began to secrete mucus.
Before Xylion could begin attacking whatever was holding onto him, he saw Human Fredrick out of the corner of his eye. He bent down and began to scold what was holding onto him.
“Justin, how many times do I have to tell you not to run off from me or your mother? Especially on an alien ship?” His voice was stern, yet somewhat calm at the same time.
Xylion felt the grip release from around him. “But Uncle Freddie…”
Xylion looked for the thing that attacked him, but couldn’t see anything. That is, until he looked down. Standing there was a miniature human. They had the same light hair that he did, except their eyes were similar to Human Jenny’s. They reminded Xylion of his own coloring, actually.
The tiny human looked sad as he sat there, tracing the edge of his shoe all over the ground. Human Fredrick shook his head as he reached forward and picked up the small human. Human Fredrick looked to see the astonished looks of every other crew member- Xylion included- and gave a nervous smile.
“Uh, hey. This is my nephew, Justin. He’s my sister, Josephine’s, son.”
Xylion stared at the tiny human. Human Justin looked at him, his large eyes seeming to take in every part of him. Xylion felt the mucus he was secreting multiply tenfold.
The sound of clicking was heard, and a tall, female human appeared from the hallway. Her hair was a wavy blonde, and fell all around her body. Her chest, unlike the other females aboard the ship, was larger. She looked a lot like those pictures everyone had seen of female humans in something called magazines. Xylion was even more nervous now.
“Oh my, I am so sorry! My phone fell somewhere in the cabin, and I wasn’t paying attention! I hope Justin wasn’t causing any problems…” Her voice was like music to Xylion’s ears. At least, that’s what he had heard Human Isaac say when describing Human Quinn, so he assumed it was a good thing.
Xylion looked at everyone else, and swore he saw Human Jenny glaring at him, but when he looked again, she was smiling at Human Justin as he was given to his mother.
Captain Zellnor looked towards Human Fredrick. “What is the meaning of that small child?”
“Uh, well, see-” Xylion had never seen Human Fredrick so nervous before. Normally he was calm and collected, supplying intelligent facts and information for everyone, and occasionally setting someone right. He never stuttered, nor was he ever completely at a loss for words.
Human Josephine smiled sweetly. “I’m sorry for my younger brother. He has trouble talking, yeah?”
Xylion was now confused. Human Fredrick definitely wasn’t like that.
“Anyways, I’m sorry for me coming aboard, but I really wanted to see my little Freddie’s work place, and my little baby Justin wanted to see where his uncle worked, so I asked, and Freddie said it should be okay. It is alright, right?”
Captain Zellnor pondered this for a moment before nodding. “Yeah, I guess it’s alright.”
Human Josephine grinned. “Thank you! We’ll be out of your hair soon, I promise!”
For the next few hours, Xylion and the other crewmembers spent more time watching Human Justin than talking to Human Josephine. She spent most of her time talking to her brother, though Human Fredrick seemed less than thrilled through the whole thing.
Human Justin was an interesting little fellow. He was shy around many of the crewmembers, yet he seemed incredibly interested in Xylion. Of course, Xylion was also less than thrilled about this.
Human Justin was busy playing with Xylion’s gloves to help him when he was secreting mucus when he realized children were just as intriguing and smart as their adult versions.
“Xylion?” The young boy asked, looking up at him.
Xylion cringed as the pronunciation of his named, but didn’t correct the young boy. Prior attempts had failed. “Yes, Human Justin?”
The boy giggled. “You can call me Justin, Xylion.”
“Alright…Justin.” Xylion could almost feel his parent’s rage at his informality.
“Is Uncle Freddie happy here?”
Xylion was shocked at the sudden change in the boy’s mood. Just moments ago he had been laughing and talking animatedly about random little things that happened at his school. But now, he looked almost worried. But why would he question his Uncle’s happiness?
“Why do you ask, Hum- uh, Justin?”
Human Justin looked down at the gloves in his hands. “It’s just…Uncle Freddie never really…I mean, ever since Aubree…” The boy’s voice trailed off. Xylion looked down at the boy and saw his eyes were filled with what humans referred to as tears. He gulped, and blinked, the liquid dripping out of his eyes. “Ever since she died, he hasn’t been too happy.”
Xylion frowned, but then he remembered. Human Jenny had mentioned Human Fredrick was depressed ever since his girlfriend had been killed in a shooting on Earth. Was her name Aubree?
“You’re uncle has been happy here, Justin. Don’t worry about him.”
Human Justin shook his head. “He has raised me more than my own parents have. My mom usually works or hangs out at the bar, as she calls it. And my dad died before I was born, so I don’t even know him. Uncle Freddie was always there for me, but now he lives on this ship.”
“Your mother doesn’t care for you?”
“No, she loves me, but she’s never there. She is trying her best, but it isn’t going so well. Uncle Vlad and Uncle Max do their best too, but Uncle Vlad is busy in New York working with his company, and Uncle Max already has a family of his own. They can’t take me in.”
Xylion looked at the young boy. “How old are you, Justin?”
“I’m seven and a half, why?”
“You just seem very smart for such a young age.”
Human Justin grinned. “Uncle Freddie always told me that if I paid attention to school and everything around me, I could be just as smart as Einstein! Am I as smart as Einstein?”
Xylion had no idea who Einstein was, but he nodded. “I think so.”
Human Justin grinned, and Xylion noticed he was missing a tooth. He was slightly worried, but no one else seemed concerned, so he figured it was fine. “Thank you, Xylion!”
Xylion nodded. “No problem, Justin.”
Before long, Xylion found himself saying goodbye to Human Justin and Human Josephine. Human Fredrick wrapped his arms loosely around his sister, but with Human Justin, he scooped him up and spun him around. Human Justin laughed the whole way through before being squeezed by his uncle. Human Fredrick set him down, and whispered something in his ears.
The two said their goodbyes, and when Human Justin got to Xylion, he did something similar to what Human Fredrick had done. He wrapped his arms around Xylion and squeezed him. Xylion was confused, but when he looked up at the other humans for guidance, Human Jenny made the motion of wrapping her arms around herself, so Xylion wrapped his arms around Human Justin.
“Thank you, Xylion.” Human Justin whispered, squeezing him once more.
Xylion smiled at him as he let go of the small boy. Human Justin walked over to his uncle once more and said something that Xylion could barely hear.
Everyone waved goodbye as Human Fredrick led his family out of there.
And as their figures vanished, Xylion remembered the words Human Justin had whispered to his uncle.
“I love you, please stop.”
Do you like this?
I like this version of it. Sheds a little light on Fredrick’s past.
I am so sorry it took so long! These past weeks have been hectic. Between birthday parties, friend gatherings, schedule pick-ups for the new school year (stupid year long schedule, giving us only 6 weeks of summer vacation and 2 weeks for every other vacation), helping out in the library, sibling birthdays, the whole freaking package.
Also, lack of inspiration. I hate when writer’s block hits, because it seems to last forever.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed it, @bee-wrecker ! I had fun writing it, even if it took a couple tries!
Also, you are so sweet! Thank you so much for always supporting all of my posts! You are the amazing one!
And remember, if you want to request anything, just message me!
