The entire human population of the Earth falls into three ethnic groups: Caucasoid, Negroid and Mongoloid. Well 'Aryans' called themselves 'nobles' because, they were from the Caucasoid ethnicity having fair skin where as the Dravidians are from the Negroid ethnicity having a darker skin complexion. Even today, North Indians look down on South Indians because of skin color. The people of the Indus Valley civilization were predominantly Dravidians who were driven to the southern part of India by the invading Indo-European groups, which settled in northern India. If someone does not believe about the 'Aryan' or Indo-European invasion of India, they just have to look at the India map. The Northern part of India has more of fair skinned people where as South Indians have dark complexion. The people of North India are predominantly of the Indo-Aryan ethno linguistic branch where as people of South India are predominantly of the Dravidian ethno linguistic branch. But in the course of few millennia, there has been intermingling between the two groups forming the modern Indian population. But even today, at the Northern and Southern extremes of the Indian sub-continent, you can still see the preserved ethnicity. For example, people in Kashmir are fair skinned where as people in Tamil Nadu are very dark complexioned. Even the 'Khans' of Bollywood trace their ancestry to Afghani Pathans who were Indo-Europeans. All people, irrespective of their skin color, are created equal. Its true that many have exploited the issue of skin color to look down upon people and oppress them. But the facts are there to see for all. India today is a mixture of people from diverse ethnicity. North India for the most part is made up of people who trace their ancestry from the Caucasoid ethnic group; South India for the most part is made up of people who trace their ancestry from the Negroid ethnic group and many people in the Eastern part of India trace their ancestry from the Mongoloid ethnic group. India is made up of people who trace their ancestry from different ethnic groups and there is nothing wrong in it. No ethnic group is inferior but as human beings all are born equal. There is beauty in diversity...
