What can you do when you can't even pull yourself out of the water?
NOTHING! THAT'S WHY I NEED HELP! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE SWORDS, YOU BASTARD. I can't navigate. I can't cook. I can't lie, either. I'm confident that I can't live without help!
i know this does not mean anything in the realm of the show but crazy, silly pink haired ladies and subservient dancer girls with swords are a common thread i guess?
I hadn't seem a direct comparison about this yet, but I can't be the only one who twigged how similar these two scenes were right? Honestly been thinking about this ever since Whole Cake.
In honor of trying to get #aromantic trending this valentine's, take this mantra as a gift.
And just a reminder: it's okay to not be in love, to not feel romantic (or any other kind of) attraction, to be single now or any other time. You aren't broken or something to be fixed, you aren't immature, you aren't morally wrong or evil. You don't need "the one true love" for your life to be full and you don't need "true love's kiss" to "save you from the curse" and make you your best self, because your life is already beautiful and you already are your best self, with or without a romantic partner or romance. Others can certainly bring you joy - but you don't need anyone to be happy.
You are already perfect. A perfect little toad.
because let's be real who wouldn't want to stay a toad I mean they're so goddamn cool I'd give up any potential chance at romance to become a toad without a second thought if I could

Rhaenyra being talked down to by her council because she is a woman so she’s forced to remain ‘safely’ in her castle thus stripping her of power and authority
Alicents council blatantly disregarding her experience because she is a woman trapping her within the influence of the violent men in her life thus stripping her of power and authority
Something something Sanji being there to rescue Nami from the wedding with Absalom, and Nami being there to rescue Sanji from the wedding with Pudding...
Whole Cake Island really giving me a whole new appreciation for the Sanji and Nami dynamic. (Nami should have gotten to bridal carry Sanji tho smh.)
Just a hypothical, had lucifer's creation process/birth failed how would things have turned out?
this is interesting to me as an idea because i mentioned it before, but there appears to be a noticeable shift in god's demeanor between testament iii and testament iv. the first three testaments are bitter, angry, showing a god that is displeased by his creations and wishing ruin upon them, shifting the blame to be their failure of him when they cannot follow his law. he curses and damns them for their free will leading to disobedience and at most he admits that hell is now out of his control, though it comes with the implication that humanity has damned themselves to this eternal suffering as though they forced his hand. however, when we reach the fourth testament, which features lucifer's questioning and subsequent banishment, god now fully blames himself. he speaks of his guilt consuming him and how he weeps after lucifer's loss, which is. strikingly different from the previous entries. this tone carries into the following testament, where god is now in so much pain he's seeking to end his existence because he's unable to live with all he's done...so i have to wonder what lucifer meant to him. how did his concerns so alter god, a god that had been so furious with his creations now changed to be so consumed with regret he wished to die? i don't believe it was lucifer alone - god's soft "...And now I can no longer unmake it" I think represents the start of his change and lucifer represents the end of those internal thoughts being manifested. lucifer came as his conscious, verbalizing what he could not face and sending him collapsing inward. god had made lucifer as the heavenly accuser and now he had accused him. what could god say to him? what could he say to himself? lucifer was the only angel willing to voice these thoughts, and god knew there was no one else left to blame. i can't say for sure what would have changed, but just based on these testaments i wonder if god ever would have come to blame himself....or if his pain would ultimately have been taken out on the whole of creation instead.
Man, I love that One Piece arc where the Strawhats liberate a country from the clutches of a manipulative Warlord who the citizens regard as their hero. It's very cool how they manage to restore the kingdom's trust in the elderly king and the princess they befriended. And they also meet Luffy's brother! You know, the one who wears a hat and has fire powers.
I also really like that One Piece arc where the Strawhats visit an island 10k meters away from the surface that risks destruction at the hands of a crazy megalomaniac. It has powerful messages about oppression and a very emotional flashback about key figures in the history of the island.
Although my favourite One Piece arc has to be the one where a strawhat has to leave the crew due to their past catching up to them. It hurts them terribly, but they're forced to pretend to have betrayed the crew when in reality they're trying to protect them at the cost of a great personal sacrifice. But then I love how Luffy simply doesn't accept it and follows them into a vastly dangerous territory, where he fights and beats a very powerful and previously undefeated officer, and gets his crewmate back.
That One Piece arc where the Strawhats arrive at an island with a cool name where a crazy criminal is experimenting on people is also great. I particularly enjoy the climax of the final battle, where the bad guy imbues himself with his power to grow huge. And don't get me started on when that Warlod shows up by the end!
Of course, I can't overlook that short, transitional One Piece arc where the Strawhats meet a former crewmate of the Pirate King. They get to ask about the last island! There are also hints at Luffy having a special power, which is interesting. It's sad that they get separated at the end, though.
And let's not forget that One Piece arc about a massive war with hundreds of characters involved. The stakes are huge and it culminates in the defeat of two notorius names from the pirate world. Also Shanks shows up at the very end to prevent an admiral from going apeshit, and Buggy gets promoted despite having done absolutely nothing.
