Thinking about our last convo at the middle school w our 'supervisor' and how my coworker wanted to go back to work in the city bc she 'misses the challenge' and how her and the supervisor were saying how in the city you get the chance to make a difference to some kids and my supervisor being like 'the best kids to work with are 1st gen immigrants because in Jamaica, el salvador because they parents have expectations for kids... they don't have dcf in those places' and him soon after saying oh you wouldn't want to work at [tech school i at one point lived just down the street from] because of the supposed behavior there

#i was like yes i would work there? and he was suprised at me and saying his dad subs there sometimes and complains #unfortunately i was just kind of weakly those are my people... i know people who went there....#the broader implications are bad but also it straight up hurt my feelings in a personal way #racism cw
