So because I spend my money wisely, I have spent more plat than I'm proud of on giving my weapons stupid, silly names (and occasionally 'cool' ones), I wanna know what yours are!
I'll start:
- The Fast and The Furis, 2 Fast 2 Furis, etc. (There's like 4 sets of Furis??- vanilla, Dex, Prime, Afuris Prime)
- Acoustic Bazooka (Kuva Bramma)
- Napoleon Blownaparte (Tenet Arca Plasmor)
- Do She Got the Booty (Shedu)
- Rooty Tooty Aim N Shooty (Kuva Zarr)
- All bows are some varient of Cernos (e.g. Paris is French Cernos)
- All nikanas are some variant of Weeb Stick (e.g. Nikana Prime is Weeb Stick Prime)
- The Zawshank Redemption
- Per My Last Email (Vectis Prime)
- A Strongly-Worded Letter (Rubico Prime)
- Ballas' Navel Piercing (Skiajati)
- Flameo Hotman (Ignis Wraith)
- Stabitha (Karyst Prime)
- Fifty Shades of Grey (Grimoire)
- Hairspray & a Lighter (Amp)
It's a long list, and I'll probably add more later whether anyone gives a shit or not.

FFXIV Write Day 6- Halcyon
-The following is a transcript of an address made to the Garlean IXth Legion by its Legatus: one Vectis van Coronus, following the legion's suspension from its deployment to Othard after the now infamous Yanxia Bay incident wherein Vectis van Coronus earned the title "The Butcher of Yanxia Bay". The recording of this address was retrieved from the wreckage of the IXth Legion flagship following its destruction in Corvos.
"As I gaze out across the brave sons and daughters of the Ninth Legion, I cannot help but feel a great swell of pride in my breast. You who remained faithful to your oaths. You who would neither shrink away from nor balk at your duty. You who can see the shining future for which we strive, and you who dare to walk the thorny path towards that future. To you, I extend my sincerest congratulations.
You have proven yourselves to be soldiers of genuine character. Sons and Daughters of Garlemald true. In culling from our number those of weak resolve we have once again returned the Ninth Legion to its rightful place as a place fit only for those walking the path of true rigor.
Consider not on the judgments of those content to languish, fat and contented, in the capital. Accept not the hollow camaraderie of those pining for faded glory, steeped in their insipid nostalgia. Heed not the spineless criticisms of the Populares, reveling in their weakness and extolling their wretched cowardice as virtue. The bureaucrat, the traditionalist, and the pacifist—parasites, all.
We who walk the true path do not see war as a means to an end as the bureaucrats and traditionalists do. We understand that war is both the means AND the end. Those who seek to reclaim what we once had fail to learn from the mistakes of the past, and those who seek to be contented with what we have now are no better than livestock. War is the purest expression of a people's strength, the truest test of their value and the surest way to cull that which is superfluous. As the craftsman continually hones his craft, so too must a people continually hone themselves in that great crucible of war. To cease this process of continual improvement is to invite stagnation, irrelevance, and death.
History has shown us this with what befell Allag. A great empire fallen not to foes without, but the rot of greed and indolence that hollowed their nation out from within. Garlemald has long sought to emulate once-great Allag, but the Allagan legacy is one of failure. We will not repeat Allag's mistakes, even if our countrymen are content to strive no higher than what has come before, we of the Ninth Legion will never cease our march towards our glorious future, greater than that of any peoples seen before on this star, enduring until the end of all things!
And make no mistake, my friends the end IS coming. When it comes, the Ninth Legion shall rise to answer it! For that great war is what we are preparing for. That great final war that has been prophesied since time immemorial... The war that shall scorch the earth, rend the skies, and boil the seas. Doubt not that it is coming, for it WILL come; and we who have honed our craft with diligence shall reap our just reward: victory and glory everlasting. Omnes Legioni!"
-I find it interesting that some account of the Final Days appears to have survived since antiquity, morphing into this tale of the 'final war' that Vectis was so obsessed with. Further accounts of the IXth Legion, known colloquially by their peers as a 'war cult', seem to indicate that Vectis' obsession began before his rise to legatus. It may be worth searching any archived resources in Noumenon for mention of this 'final war', though research on the Echo as well as notes from the Scions of the Seventh dawn suggest that there may be some sort of shared traumatic memory re: the final days. Further research may be required in these fields. -Archon Deki Lihzeh

Regular echinoid fossil I found today. It is from the Vectis formation and is around 80 million years old.
See the perfect five-fold symmetry as opposed to the irregular echinoid I posted yesterday.

Stachybotrys (/ˌstækiˈbɒtrɪs/) is a genus of molds, hyphomycetes or asexually reproducing, filamentous fungi, now placed in the family Stachybotryaceae. The genus was erected by August Carl Joseph Corda in 1837. Historically, it was considered closely related to the genus Memnoniella,[2][3] because the spores are produced in slimy heads rather than in dry chains. Recently, the synonymy of the two genera is generally accepted.[4] Most Stachybotrys species inhabit materials rich in cellulose. The genus has a widespread distribution and contained about 50 species in 2008.[5] There are 88 records of Stachybotrys on Species Fungorum (in 2023), of which 33 species have DNA sequence data in GenBank. Species in the genus are commonly found in soil, plant litter (hay, straw, cereal grains, and decaying plant debris) and air and a few species have been found from damp paper, cotton, linen, cellulose-based building materials water-damaged indoor buildings, and air ducts from both aquatic and terrestrial habitats (Izabel et al. 2010;[6] Lombard et al. 2016;[7] Hyde et al. 2020a).[8]
St Peter's Church, Havenstreet
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway Museum is located in Havenstreet, along with a station. Activities are run throughout the Christmas season, with a train running between Havenstreet and Wootton.
Within the grounds of Havenstreet railway station is the Haven Falconry Bird of Prey Centre.
A notable Victorian resident was Lancashire industrialist John Rylands who bought land in the village in 1882[2] and built a large house named Longford, after his primary residence Lancashire. The house is now used as the Northbrooke Nursing Home.
A First World War shrine, dedicated 30 June 1918, is a prominent landmark that stands on a hill north of Havenstreet village. The shrine was built in 1917 by local landowner John Willis Fleming, to honour the memory of his son, as well as all the other men of the parishes of Binstead and Havenstreet who were killed in the War.
An identical war shrine, the Stoneham War Shrine, was built at the same time at North Stoneham in Hampshire.[3]
Public transport is provided by Southern Vectis buses, which link the village with Ryde, Newport and Wootton Bridge. They are run with volunteer drivers as part of the Community Bus Partnership.

Prime Report June 2023
Happy Pride Month! It's me, and I was thinking about prime warframes again so here's all the updated news about them.
Prime Access
Currently Hildryn Prime is still in Prime Access as of June 2nd, but her reign is due to come to an end some time around June 15th. The next one coming, as has been announced, is Wisp Prime! You can expect to see her around the middle of June and then she should be available until about the middle of September. So you have 2 weeks left to buy Hildryn Prime if you were hoping to do that!
After Wisp we should be looking at another 2 male frame rotation, and the next ones on the list are Gauss and Grendel! We don't have any information on their order yet, but we're all excited to see what happens with them. They should be coming in fall and winter of this year.
But also, when Wisp Prime comes, Nidus Prime is the one going into the vault. Gara went into the vault last time, and in two weeks Nidus is following her. After him are Harrow Prime and Garuda Prime. They will all be going into the vault before the year ends, so plan accordingly!
Prime Resurgence
Prime Resurgence has shifted as of today! Nova and Trinity have returned to the vault. This month, Ash Prime and Inaros Prime are available at Varzia's shop! They bring with them the Vectis Prime, Carrier Prime, Panthera Prime, and Karyst Prime. So you can buy them from Varzia or trade Aya for their relics until the end of June!
Also, Oberon Prime and Nekros Prime have also returned to the vault with their weapons. They were out special for the 10th anniversary celebration but they have left again, seemingly for the last time (for now).
They seem to be keeping the schedule for Prime Resurgence pretty close to their chest, so we can only guess at who's next from who hasn't been available recently. To that end, here's a list of the Prime Resurgence rotations so far this year:
January: Volt Prime and Loki Prime
February: Atlas Prime and Vauban Prime
March: Mesa Prime and Limbo Prime
April: Mag Prime and Rhino Prime
May: Nova Prime and Trinity Prime
And then for the Anniversary, Oberon Prime and Nekros Prime were available from March 24th to April 6th, and again from May 19th to June 2nd.
Since Prime Resurgence started again we've also seen Ivara Prime, Oberon Prime, Saryn Prime, Valkyr Prime, Wukong Prime and Equinox Prime, but they were all at least half a year ago now so it's hard to say that we definitely won't see any of them soon. The pattern has yet to reveal itself.
If you'd like to keep track for yourself, I've found Prime Resurgence does have its own page on the warframe wiki now. I can't link it because tumblr would eat this post then, but if you search for it on the wiki you should find it. It has a helpful table of all the previously available rewards.
I think that's all for now. Thanks for reading!
#warframe#prime warframe#prime access#warframe prime report#prime resurgence#hildryn prime#wisp prime#ash prime#inaros prime#sup it's ya girl the least consistent warframe content creator ever#this isn't a series yet but this is a thing I've done before sort of#if I were a more consistent person I'd love to make this a regular thing#create this once a month or every couple of months or something#just to help people stay up to date#but I have a hard time keeping up myself so we'll see#anyways I hope this is helpful#also any time I say 'so plan accordingly' I'm talking to myself#I still need to get garuda prime so I gotta keep track of the time#I need her very badly

Here's a nice list of very British sounding town names and other places from a website about cement kilns.
It also happens to contain the local gravational acceleration in Newtons per Kilogramme because that's apparently an important thing for cement kilns
