#they asked like 'any y'all watch anime' and I was like 'well I just watched 2 eps of dungeon meshi 5 times between them because I'm normal'#to be fair the elevator pitch IS very brief and normal#especially to a person who also plays dnd#'oh it's about an adventuring party going into a dungeon to try to save a party member who got eaten by a dragon'#'they have to reach her before it's too late to resurrect her so to save time and resources they cook and eat monsters they encounter'#'and the art is incredible and my favorite'#and like to be honest? the story gains a lot of complexity and is excellent but this pitch is still really the heart of the appeal for me#the SPECULATIVE FANTASY BIOLOGY AND ECOLOGY and the ART and HOW MUCH I LOVE THE CHARACTERS!!#anyway please read dungeon meshi#dungeon meshi Good#also watch the sub on netflix
