Throwing this concept @ you (age swap igggg????) imagine if Mutsuki was Juuzou’s mentor 🤭🤭🤭

This isn't the first time I've thought about or started and not finished something of a role-reversal in this way, and let me tell you: mentor!Mutsuki that poor, poor fool. I give him 11 minutes, not just to mentor, but to survive.

Like he would have the beautiful kind heart to see a human being behind the bad things his fellow investigators say about junior investigator!Suzuya and specifically want to give him a chance, but I mean, think about where he would be at Suzuya's age without Suzuya mentoring him. Assuming he continued to be an investigator that long without him. Paired with Suzuya where he was at Mutsuki's age at that time? That Suzuya would eat that Mutsuki alive.

#not to compulsively talk around my new just-okay-but-im-obsessed-rn movies but #the sheer chaos of classical music playing while the wrong turn brothers incite a hospital riot #and seizure the very well-intentioned baby doctors poor sweet doctor brain into a fried ready-meal w the ect machine #before any of them were even teenagers #thats kinda how i see moderately accomplished senior investigator Mutsu's attempt to teach rank three Suzu going #not necessarily the massacre part but the disastrous energy of it all #i don't think suzuya would actually kill him because some real part of him wanted to leave that behind #for his relationship with shinohara to work #but with absolutely zero respect for the person in charge of him he would be pulling the strings in that relationship #forget knives the guy would pickpocket mutsuki's credentials off him and use them to steal some big boy quinques #mutsuki however would quickly realize how out of his depth he is solving cases with suzuya #and he has all this knowledge and skill even though he can't verbalize it the textbook way at first #and he would honestly let it happen #answers #snow-dropps #he could possibly maybe bring out the best in suzuya but his life would be a living hell for a while first
