(Flowers-Pine is also a fine order for the hyphenated take, and arguably more funny since Pine-Flowers is right there, but I think Pine-Flowers has better flow, ya know?)

one year on t!

today is the anniversary of when i started T so i kinda wanted to make a post about what thats been like for me!

under a readmore so if you don't want to read a wall of text about testosterone you don't have to aslkdfjalksd

also if you have any questions related to my experience on T, my askbox is open and i do have anon on. :)

so i decided to do the gel instead of the shot because i had needle issues. i don't think i really do anymore though, because for the first year of care, they have you go every three months to get your hemoglobin and t levels checked and they draw blood for that. but i am still sticking with the gel because there's a lower risk of blood clots(APPARENTLY - this was told to me by a nurse PLEASE double check this with your doctor and confirm if thats a concern for you), and since i'm on a hormonal birth control, i want to do everything i can to keep that risk low!

I also started on a half dose bc I was a liiiiittle nervous about it, and went up to the full dose after 6 months.

so. pros and cons of t gel:

pros: no needles (also makes for easier disposal), lower risk of blood clots (again, feel free to fact check me on this)

cons: its daily, i've had issues with acne on my shoulders, can't wear tank tops

overall i think its the best option for me right now, though i might change my mind in the future!

changes so far:

voice - my voice has gotten deeper and is starting to crack. my voice no longer gives me away if someone genders me correctly before i start talking

hair - toe hair, leg hair, arm hair, ass hair. no facial hair. a liiiittle bit of tummy hair

libido/horniness - i had a pretty low sex drive before starting t bc my bc kinda killed any semblance of one i had before aldksfjalkds so im not 100% more horny all the time, it kind of comes in waves. but i am WAY more horny and interested in sex than i was before

bottom growth - this was the thing that concerned me THE MOST before i started. i did NOT want bottom growth, i liked my bits where they were. but honestly its not bad at all. i didn't even notice it was happening. i think its leveled off for now which is good, i'm chill with where its at, but if it does start growing again, we'll see how i feel about it aksdjfklads i've seen some people have INSANE bottom growth. also. if you're thinking about getting on T. bottom growth is one of the FIRST things to happen. so you gotta be chill with it aldskfjalksd

muscle mass/fat distribution - i really haven't noticed too much change in this department yet. i don't really have any fat on me (just a little on my hips and some on my thighs) so that could be why I haven't noticed much change? and i'm not currently going to the gym so idk in terms of muscle mass.

ultimately I'm very happy with where i am in my transition and i can't wait to see what the next year brings! (facial hair maybe? we can only hope)

okay so first of all. Shery x Helena. but now I expand on the siren helena agenda

3-4ish? concepts at the moment... siren x mermaid, siren x sailor ane mermaid x pirate

I've been ROTTING on these concept for a total of 16 minutes and I must report to HQ.

for the siren helena x mermaid sherry agenda, I feel like it'd be a form of forbidden love thanks to my wonderful imagination creating worldbuilding on the spot!

I perceive sirens and mermaids differently — sirens being on higher sea levels for deception of sailors and pirates, whilst mermaids are mid-lower sea residing marine life. this is important, as they'd likely have very different prey and diets and whatnot— yada yada, essentially, they don't like each other because of cultural differences!

now mix this in with helena— either a man eater or a social outcast for disliking the "siren way"— attending a large hunt and "dropping" (as much as one can under water??) her prey and needing to swim lower to catch him (can be dangerous due to pressure differences),

and sherry is lurking to see what the commotion is— likely seeing helenas prey and her trying (and beginning to fail due to the pressure getting too heavy for her head). maybe sherry helps her— for whatever reason you might like, I was thinking sherry was feeling generous/bad that shes losing her lunch

yada yada, they converse maybe— get to know another. can go in any direction you'd like!! but it'd be doomed yuri to a degree thanks to, again, all the biological marine bullshit (this is when you find out I'm a nature/marine FREAK)

bonus: mermaids being larger/longer than sirens due to sirens having more "human-sized" proportions and mermaids likely being more fish-like... so this is me getting at "staring at my large beautiful wife" meme being them

coffee break here: helena is so fucking introverted in re6 because why was I playing it and this girl ONLY spoke directly to leon, a bit to ada, and like one sentence with jake?? insane.

anyways, siren helena x sailor/fisher sherry!!!!! yay!!!!!!!!!!

this one I'm more or less imagining a few tropes included— and this is childhood friends (?? to a degree... we'll get to it) and, you guessed it! forbidden lovers!!!!! (we all saw this one.)

this I have more of a vague concept of,, primarily being sherry and her foster dad leon visiting a town on the coastline— maybe visiting family, a vacation home, whatever fits— and leon decides it's the perfect time to teach sherry to fish

so they hop on a boat— renting, owned, whatever. and they go out to sea, not too far from the coast

while leons doing... whatever fishers do.... grabbing bait, looking some of the fish over, whatever, helena is lurking near the surface and her and sherry spot one another

I like to imagine helena holds a finger to her mouth to tell her to be quiet before swimming away, but, as I've said 30 times, whatever floats your boat!

yada yada, sherry revisits the town and sails onward, faintly recalling the memory only to see helena again .

thats like . everything ive got for this concept

ive also got nothing for mermaid sherry x pirate helena . but that Sure Is There !

thoughts below the cut cuz i got carried away sorryyy. mermaids usually aren't my thing but idk im inspired.

enamored with fisher!Sherry and siren!Helena bc I think their dynamic could get catty so fast and i eat that up with a spoon. Like kid Sherry was all enamored and wide eyed because whoaaa a real mermaid!! And then she grows up, and she learns more - and she sails out and starts to know Helena, like really know her and not the legends of what she is. and she's sitting on the bow of this shitty little boat that she scrounged her money together for, looking around at what she rowed all the way out here for, and she realizes that - wow. you're a messy eater, helena.

there's discarded shells and bones all over this shallow little copse of coral that they've made their meeting place, and helena's so shocked bc like what. hey what i was trying to charm you. don't look at the bones. stop it. don't notice that. and she's trying to flick sand to cover the mess with her tail and winds up splashing sherry - and then sherry's laughing, and her nose scrunches when she laughs, and now helena's in deep.

also, helena just straight up swimming away during arguments or conversations she isn't ready for. like what's sherry gonna do? swim after her?

and then she hears a splash. then arms are wrapping around her tail, tugging her back to the surface. now she's hauling this girl back up to the surface, sherry's gasping for breath and she still has the faculties to snap 'next time im tossing a net out and pulling you back'.

I HOWEVER can contribute to the pirate Helena agenda!! we flip the script here. Helena heard Sherry's voice once at sea and spent years trawling those waters to hear just one more note. the figurehead on her ship is modeled after that glimpse of sherry through the fog.

and to sherry, this is all coming on very strong. flattery, and all that, but how can she be sure of helena's intentions? she's heard of sailors angling to fish a siren from her waters, heard that they dry them out and hang them on walls, that you're still alive when they do it.

somehow all of this ends up with helena's giddy joy at finding sherry again, and sherry's caution melting away - and, potentially, depending on how you like your mermaids, helena feeding dissenters and captives to sherry.

I'm rotating mermaid/siren shelena in my head right now... specifically the large beautiful wife part... will report back later.
