#that's not a joke I'm really that invested in this rat man

How about 4, 5 (Scott), 9, and 16 for the fandom ask game?
Hey! :-)
4. Is there a popular pairing you don't necessarily dislike but aren't too invested in?
Out of the most popular Steve pairings, I'd say ShieldShock. It's not a bad ship by any means. I totally get why people are into it. It just doesn't grab me like that, y'know? Though, oddly enough, I am really into the idea of Steve/Darcy/Wanda. Don't know what that's about, lol.
With MCU in general? Clintasha. Granted, part of this probably comes from being exposed to the MCU first, because nothing about their interactions in The Avengers screamed romance to me and everything after that just solidified that notion. I never understood why folks were so adamant about it being portrayed in the MCU over Bruce/Nat and Clint/Laura until I found out it's a comic thing. Again, not a bad ship, but neither canon version I've seen (MCU and EMH) have done much for me. Though, again, Clint/Laura/Natasha? Totally into.
5. Out of all your fanworks that include [Scott], which is your favourite?
Oh, man, this question has taken me the longest, because I had to go through and reread some stuff. Also, I make so many different things that narrowing it down is a bit tough. Plus, I overthink way too much. Okay. For moodboards, I'd say this Steve/Scott/Hope/Maria one, because it's so pretty to me that I forget I made it, lol. I figure anything that's able to bypass my knee-jerk reaction to be overly critical of my work must have something good going for it. For other graphics, this Scott/Jessica set, which is quite simple, but I really like it.
As for fic, I think overall some of my favorite individual lines and jokes have been written for Scott, such as: "At least I don’t want to fuck a fox, Clint." Though I think my favorite exchange I've written has to be between Scott and Steve in Make Up For Lost Time:
“You’re twice my age!” the brunet sputtered. “More than!”
“Only chronologically,” Steve said, unable to control his shit-eating grin.
“I’ll remember that next time you ask for the senior discount at the movies.” With that, he moved as if to get off of Steve’s lap, but the blond only clutched his hips and plopped him back down with a smile.
“You wouldn’t rat me out, would ya?”
“Course not,” he scoffed. “That shit’s expensive, even with your discount.”
For a full story, I'd say it's a toss-up between The Season of Poultry and Everything Will Turn Out Alright. It's tough to pick a full fic for Scott, since I so often write him from someone else's (usually Steve's) point of view. That, coupled with how my work tends to be pretty short, I think makes it a little hard to maybe get a full picture of Scott. But with those stories, I think (or I'd like to think) they pack a lot in a small space in terms of his characterization and dynamics with others. Plus, I just have a lot of affection for those particular stories.
9. Write a recommendation of someone else's fic you enjoyed!
Do Vibranium Androids Dream of Electric Wandas? by DeconstructedFallenStars on AO3. The summary reads, "He had meant for her to be his Eve." It's a short one-sided Wanda/Ultron fic that takes place toward the end of AOU and is something of a character study of Ultron. I'm probably underselling it, but the execution is very good.
16. Do people irl know you participate in fandom?
Friends do, yes, but not relatives. I don't think they'd really "get" it or approve, if you take my meaning.
Thanks for sending these in! Sorry it took a couple days for me to finish. For whatever reason, my brain really needed the answer to that second question to be thorough. lol.

[The following is not an essay. It is the author's attempt to grapple with the despair at losing something important to him, presented in hopes someone in a similar situation may know such things are worth grappling with.]
Apropos of Doctor Who's triumphant return to having writing and direction I can actually care about again, I've been reflecting on how much casual 'Moffat-hate' irritates me.
Obviously, I need to unpack that a bit.
I'm talking about the reflexive antagonism towards Steven Moffat's era as show-runner, writing tics, writing in general, moment of centrality to British TV and so on that I am no doubt going to run into if I go anywhere near Doctor Who reviews and analysis again. A sneer about perceived sneering here, another repetition of a narrative-construction gripe there. The regurgitation of old arguments because there is a strong contingent of people who loathe that era and Moffat in general, who have every right to that opinion, and who can quite reasonably bring it up when talking about Russel T Davies' new, second era of running the show, however that shakes out.
The me-problem here is, I loved a lot of 'the Moffat era' of Doctor Who when it was being broadcast. For whatever reason, it hit lots of nice buttons in my head and I had a grand old time watching it unfold. The 11th and 12th Doctors provided some really excellent examples of the show doing its best at what it does best. Indeed, 'Listen' may be my favourite example of a story delving into what Doctor Who is all about, ever.
But there is a degree to which my enjoyment is now perpetually enmeshed in defensiveness. Because the fandom was/is wild tangle of very strong opinions, much of them to the contrary, and that isn't likely to change any time soon.
[And for me personally, my best friend hates that era, which threw into sharp relief a lot of hang-ups I have around needing to justify the things I like. Having an emotional breakdown kind of sharp relief. That's not the sort of thing you just shrug off, even after all this time.]
To be clear, I am not here to defend Steven Moffat. I do not give a rat's arse about Sherlock – it was enjoyable at the time but I can't say it registered beyond 'a thing it was fun to watch once' – and I actively despise Twice Upon A Time, the last 12th Doctor story, for pretty much the exact reasons I think most people rag on Moffat's other work. It is a story ostensibly in conversation with a piece of source material that instead only concerns itself with the refracted, pop-cultural version of said thing, for the sake of being constructed like a joke.
Which in general is an approach far better suited to Doctor Who – a series progressively layering 'canon' atop stories that could not be recalled as anything other than half-remembered versions of themselves for a very long time – than it would ever be for something like Sherlock Holmes. Even if I didn't like Twice Upon A Time, I can at least forgive it as a wider pattern and oh for goodness sake, I've started defending the man anyway, haven't I?
You see the problem. I can't make a critique with any teeth because I am braced for the whole to be dismissed even as I home in on the specific part I wish to unpack. Must I defend a writer in toto because I vibed with one piece of their corpus? I don't think I would for anyone else and yet here we are. This is probably why I count myself lucky to have never been deeply invested in Doctor Who fandom in the communal sense, online or off. This and the people who fawn over the racist giant rat story.
[Talons of Weng-Chiang is a Yellow Peril tale, straight up, nothing else. It also jobs Leela, rendering her forever 'the savage' despite the entire point of her introduction being a rejection of the superstitions imposed on her people and thereafter proving herself extremely capable in new and strange situations. It was also written in Britain in the 70s so this is almost self-explanatory. Just fucking own the fact you enjoy the production values and excellent cast while accepting it's indefensible to claim this is the best the classic series produced, you chronic dipsticks.]
See, I can do it with other examples of what I dislike, bare my teeth and go for the throat. But few people argue we should write off Robert Holmes' extensive contribution to the series because he did a massive racism on account of being a British writer in the 70s. Maybe they should. I don't know.
What I do know is, I understand why the 11th and 12th Doctor eras work for me. I am a white cis man who thought he was straight when they started airing and who is exactly the kind of Doctor Who fan who'd want to solve the regeneration limit with a Five Doctors reference. I never felt like Moffat's grand arcs were talking down to me because, I suspect, I was the kind of person most easily able to imagine I was in on the joke by the end. Then again, the writer who's done some of the most extensive analysis and defence of this era is a trans American woman, whose work did more for my appreciation of Doctor Who history than anyone else. So – yeah.
When I said 'irritate', I meant exactly that. This whole topic is a burr, making it difficult to revisit things I once enjoyed. Maybe this would be the case anyway. I have grown a lot since then. So did Steven Moffat, over the course of writing more Doctor Who than any other person ever. He gave us gender-flipping regeneration, tried colour-blind casting and when it failed to make a difference, specifically cast for a black lesbian. And he revisited Donna's ending with an eye on querying the moral failure of it long before RTD2 wrapped around to the same point. Why should I look kinder on his predecessor, who presided over the abusive shit-show that was the production of the 2005 revival season and yet gets to come back to save the programme again?
Oh, yes. The writing. But Russel T Davies annoys me just as much in some places as Moffat does other people. So it goes. Although I suppose Moffat did hire Toby Whithouse to write the central part of Bill's arc and it was a chauvinistic wet fart because it was Toby Whithouse. He also worked for ages with Mark Gattis, whose writing I could shred on similar grounds. And around and around we go, sniping and arguing which of the middle-aged British guys tried their best, or wrote the worst.
[I am still mourning what Chris Chibnall's era of Doctor Who turned out to be. I was so hyped for getting Jodi Whittaker as the Doctor and then we hit Kerblam! and the oldest, most foundational piece of my inner cultural map no longer felt like something I wanted to be a part of. So yeah, he's the worst, for allowing that story to go out, 'the system isn't the problem, it's the people' and all. That's my 'hot-take', years too late. The man wasted dozens of excellent, interesting, diverse writers and actors on what is ultimately, in my opinion, the most mediocre crap since the Saward Era and his big contribution to the series going forward is to fanwank in an explanation for the Morbius!Doctors that essentially makes the Doctor the specialest special whoever specialed.]
At least Moffat previously made some attempt to spork the god!Doctor approach, before deciding they should textually be the reason evil doesn't triumph in the universe. Sadly, that endpoint seems inevitable. We're long past the days of the Doctor being a university drop-out, bumbling around the universe, interfering from the edges. Pick your saccharine alternative, I guess.
What was I talking about before I dived into my own bitterness and angry fan-ranting? How much people deriding one sitcom writer for his faults and prominence within a particular era of big British TV that sparked vast swathes of internet discourse continues to be an aspect of Doctor Who meta? How that makes me feel? Hah. Who cares?
There's no widely applicable point here, just an emotional sore making me wonder if I'm ready to 'get back into' Doctor Who. Because yes, actively being revolted by the Chibnall Era is the real reason I fell out with the show. And yes, maybe I've just grown beyond the point where Doctor Who satisfies, full-stop (let's leave the political rant about The Zygon Inversion for another time; I'll only be repeating other people). But sitting here, being honestly, genuinely delighted by The Star Beast and Wild Blue Yonder in ways I'd frankly forgotten I could be by Doctor Who . . . there's a still part of me that doesn't want to risk going back and running into those same old arguments. I've seen them before. They're boring. They annoy me. I don't have the energy to deal with it. And I haven't yet worked out how to thicken my skin against them.
Someday, maybe, I will sort the love for Doctor Who I had since I was six and watching Peter Cushing romp around in glorious Technicolor from a factional fandom pissing match I didn't even play a part in. I never was someone who picked fights online over this or tried to make grand sweeping arguments about why X, Y or Z was better. I want to be mellow about differing tastes and just like what I like. I certainly don't want to be the kind of person who rags endlessly on things I didn't enjoy, which is why the emotional outburst above is about as far as I'm prepared to go in talking publicly about the 13th Doctor's run.
[I want to go back. I want to love Doctor Who again, flaws and all. I probably will regardless of this. I am not making a plea concerning fandom's nature. I am neither asking for grace nor extending it. The answer is undoubtedly to carry on along the sidelines, a skulking hermit-crab of a Whovian. Yet the burr remains, the grief sticks and the solid ground of a long-held interest remains cracked. Perhaps that is growth. Self-examination does not entitle one to set discoveries aside, job done, card stamped, and return to pleasures-as-were. Yet I can't deny the raw emotional urgh that comes of hearing the same punches struck over and over, about a portion of the show that at least tried.]
Ultimately, however, I like picking apart the things I enjoy and I enjoy watching others do likewise. And I don't get to do that here without cautiously curating my experience to avoid the ten billionth iteration of ten-year-old internet arguments.
I'll keep doing it, obviously.
But it is irritating.
[This post brought to you by listening to El Sandifer's podcast about The Star Beast. Eruditorum Press is a great site for fascinating media analysis and her TARDIS Eruditorum series is well worth a read if you're interested in the show's development.]

Rat, C.B., Dustin, Dinah? :)
this got long lol
Rat/AV/OLC-CB
Sexuality Headcanon: Bi, but with a strong preference for men. He's not super invested in long-term relationships tho (but won't turn down one if one happens to develop)
Gender Headcanon: Cis man, pretty masculine, but isn't concerned about masculinity the same way GB is.
A ship I have with said character: Electraboooooose (or, well, spagratti). They are canon in the OLC you can't change my mind (im only mostly joking about this).
A BROTP I have with said character: He hangs out with Dinah and Greaseball, though overall I think he's closer with Dinah. He does "dude stuff" with GB (they drink and watch tv).
A NOTP I have with said character: Hmm, I can't really think of any ship with him that I've seen that I've been totally opposed to. Not a super big fan of OLC Rusted Brakes but at the same time I don't hate it
A random headcanon: Likes to doodle, usually random things but might doodle a little portrait if theres other people near (he has so many doodles of Electra).
General Opinion over said character: Fun fact I used to not like him for a hot second before my brain realized that he's literally a shitty little man with a mustache and now he's one of my faves. I love a grimy little guy.
-
CB
Sexuality Headcanon: Gay. He went through adult magazines as a teen and didn't understand what all the fuss was about.
Gender Headcanon: Cis guy, but doesn't give a shit about how masc he is.
A ship I have with said character: Rusted Brakes is the one I ship most seriously. Greaseboose/Electraboose/Cheater Boys are mostly there cause I think they're funny.
A BROTP I have with said character: He's bros with GB, but they aren't super close on an emotional level
A NOTP I have with said character: Hmm, can't really think of one
A random headcanon: Incredibly flexible!!! He's got no bones. Lounges around in bizarre poses.
General Opinion over said character: He's so funky and fun I love him <33
-
Dinah
Sexuality Headcanon: Hm.... straight, perhaps bicurious.
Gender Headcanon: Cis woman. Very feminine.
A ship I have with said character: I.... don't really have one. Like, I enjoy GreaseDinah and Dinahboose, but neither of them are OTPs for me.
A BROTP I have with said character: She's besties with Buffy and Ashley!! But I think she's good friends with most of the yard. Who doesn't like Dinah.
A NOTP I have with said character: Again, can't really think of one!
A random headcanon: She's surprisingly good at fixing things. GB doesn't know much about tech and sometimes it's inconvenient to invite CB over so Dinah has to be the one to fix whatevers broken.
General Opinion over said character: I like her! I like that she gets an actual arc in the show.
-
Dustin
Sexuality Headcanon: Hmm....... uhh. Let's say bi.
Gender Headcanon: Cis guy, but likes being a little bit gnc, as a treat.
A ship I have with said character: FlatDust I guess, but I'm not too invested.
A BROTP I have with said character: FlatDust again, but also Dustin and Rusty
A NOTP I have with said character: Uhh I don't think I have any
A random headcanon: Hums when he does things!! He doesn't even notice it, and the rest of the freight find it nice to listen to :)
General Opinion over said character: I like him! I don't think about him too often but I do like that he exists

Snatching this character ask game to answer it in its entirety bc I'm currently sick in bed and this sounds like good distraction.
Here's your chance to read some lab rat character snippets.
Answering for Lahpp bc the brainworms got me bad the last 2 years.
A. What nicknames do they get called?
None, really. Unless employee numbers count as nicknames. I've made a joking comment about how Petthri would start calling him Gecko for absolutely no logical reason other than me being amused that the man's voice claim actor played a character with that name in a super niche musical. This isn't canon. But it makes listening to relevant songs funny.
B. Describe their family dynamic.
Non-existant. Didn't even have an official legal guardian until Rata Sum authorities required related paperwork for school stuff. There was the subkrewe that handled surveillance of his 'progress' and the head of the project was sort of 'in charge' of him but whatever relationship they had was nothing remotely comparable to a family. I think to this day he's got the hardest time wrapping his head around the concept of family relationships, other than of course the purely biological explanation.
C. What’s their weirdest habit or quirk?
Does consuming more coffee than anyone feasibly should count? I'm not even sure this man drinks anything else. Probably, but seriously unsure. Just don't question it, it hasn't killed him yet.
D. What was their high school college experience like?
This is one of those "20k essay; 1000 different amv scenarios" topics. In short: difficult, exhausting, but not as bad as it could have been.
On a social level he always felt like the odd one out and didn't have much contact to the other students, but he was never actively disliked or anything of the sort. Him being generally rather distant and observant probably intimidated a few people, as well as him being Inquest. Group projects went smoothly though, and interactions were superficially friendly. Just comparatively rare.
Work-wise he had to put in so much more effort than many others because of his disabilities, all while trying to be as stealthy as possible about it so noone would notice. He excelled in many challenges, didn't manage to hide all of it however; some things he simply couldn't do. Uncomfortable for him.
He was a really good student overall.
Also as a side anecdote, he got the typical "can you speak up please" a lot even though he was a front row regular. Soft-spoken guy.
E. What is their love language?
He's the "invite someone to go out for dinner" type. Spend some good quality time. He might get invested in the relevant person's interests too. Ask about them, enable some rambling, or ideally an interesting discussion.
F. How do they handle conflict?
That depends entirely on the kind of coflict and who or what is involved. Can range from "take the lead and try to find the most efficient solution" to "remove himself from the situation and just not deal with it at all".
G. What’s their greatest talent?
Developed mad acting & pokerface skills. He can smile through the most annoying social situations and you wouldn't guess he hates every single second of it. If he actively wants to give you that impression, that is. Sometimes he just doesn't bother.
H. Where is their favourite place to be?
Not sure if he has a consciously picked favourite place but he's comfortable enough in the small studio room connected to his lab. Made it a decently livable place. It's tiny (very tiny) but that's fine, he doesn't need much space. It's a place of peace and quiet, and that's what matters.
I. What makes them feel safe?
Good question! Next question.
J. What is their greatest weakness?
He's a coward who resigned himself to a life in a corrupt, hateful, criminal system. He was target of that very same system's bigotry for ages but he turns a blind eye on it out of fear and a lack of willingness to change anything. He's content being a simple cog in the machine, not caring about what its greater purpose is. is this what Camus calls philosophical suicide
Maybe one day he'll overcome the cowardice to face some difficult truths. Probably not.
K. What is their greatest strength?
If he says he'll get shit done, he gets it done. He's got an incredible amount of perseverance.
Especially in his teenage years this often meant choosing the path of more resistance simply to spite the people who would assume he wouldn't manage certain things. Even if those people would never actually know. He had to at least prove it to himself under the guise of acting out of spite. Is that even a strength anymore or actually a flaw? A strength born from flawed thinking?
L. What is their secrets to happiness?
Don't have anything change, find comfort in living the convenient lie. The illusion of happiness is good enough.
M. How do they handle competition?
If it's the kind of "who wins the monthly nonfatal pool by putting the most life subjects in a vegetative state" small-ego-competition then he simply doesn't care. Not because he has any moral issues with it but because he think it's a waste of time and just distracts from the actual tasks at hand.
If it's "the events in Cantha have put you in a physical and mental state that prevents you from working; and staying away on sick leave for a prolongued amount of time will eventually get you replaced despite decades of dedication" sort of competition then he doesn't handle it well at all. And he doesn't even believe anyone else could do his job better than him. Somehow that actually makes it worse.
N. What are their hidden talents?
Music. Got curious about the general topic in college. And in true spiteful (big fat disclaimer: asshole statement) "Oh you're severely HoH so this is clearly not for you" fashion, he decided this is exactly for him to get invested in. He got really into the theory part especially but also picked up an instrument (undecided which one. the decision has been haunting me for months.) to play.
Later when he met Luqqah they found out it's an interest they have in common so they spent a lot of time just either discussing or analyzing theoretical concepts or actually making some music. Luqqah taught him how to sing over the years! It's something he had wanted to learn well before he met her but very much lacked the confidence to start on his own.
He hasn't lost that passion over all these years, even if he didn't get to share it with anyone in a while. Post-EoD music trio incoming?
O. What motivates them?
In the past: Mostly fear with a good portion of spite.
Now: Mostly habit. Some underlying fears.
P. What advice would they give to their younger self?
If he could look past his own facade he'd likely tell his younger self to keep kindling at least a bit of that spiteful fire he had.
He does sometimes feel like he's lacking more "bite" the older he gets.
Q. Do they have a signature look or fashion?
Always got that eye piece on covering his left eye. You'll not encounter him without it. If you do, something's either wrong or you've somehow invaded into private space.
He spends the majority of his time working which means the majority of the time you'll find him in a labcoat. He also keeps his hair tied up for practical reasons.
His "casual" outfits are still surprisingly formal looking. He wants to leave a decent impression, you know. I'm awful at describing clothes so I'll skip this one until I one day inevitable draw it, but he's big on waistcoats and likes different shades of brown.
R. How tall are they?
Listen friends I'm really bad at understanding the gw2 race heights and putting them in perspective, but I assigned him a confident 98 cm (3'2") which in my world view is somewhere in the average middle. Not super short, not tall.
S. What’s their relationship like with their parents?
Somewhat answered in the family dynamics question. As for his biological parents, he never knew them. His -on paper- legal guardian wasn't much of a parental figure. Did it fuck him up growing up without any real guiding figure to look up to? Sure. Did it take time for him to understand that this is not the normal experience every child has? Unsure if he actually ever fully understood. Rationally he does, but emotionally this is a different matter.
T. What are their favourite foods?
He's really gotten into wasabi.
U. What do they like to do in their spare time?
See the music answer. Also reading an interesting book in a quiet environment is always a good pastime.
V. What’s their biggest pet peeve?
So he's generally really good at keeping his cool but he's got absolutely zero (0) patience for several people talking over each other in the same time. There's a reason he demanded his own lab space when everyone moved over to the CoE.
W. What’s their favourite sport?
If dancing is considered a sport (I believe it is?) Petthri might eventually get him to be interested enough as a spectactor. Let that be a future arc.
Otherwise literally no interest in any at all.
X. What’s their biggest fear?
Death. And I don't mean it in a 'most people find thinking about their own mortality uncomfortable' way, I mean it in a seriously phobic way. It keeps him up at night. He's had numerous seriously bad panic attacks over it. Based important decisions on it.
There was a time of his life it got somewhat better but it's catching up to him again recently.
Y. What physical object do they value most?
Whatever omious instrument I'll decide on that he owns will probably be valuable to him. I have no idea otherwise.
Z. What’s their relationship status?
Officially single (and it will stay that way). Unofficially complicated.
For the really curious: I suppose their current relationship is best described as "friends with benefits". No they have not kissed yet. I'm gonna first have to figure out when and how and why and if at all and
That said I have this shitpost scene-that'll-never-happen in my head of Luqqah meeting Lahpp and Petthri during the whole EoD disaster and in a moment of quiet she and Lahpp sit together. And she looks him in the eyes and goes "So are you two boyfriends?" And before he can even try to defend himself she continues "You break up with me because you figure out you're gay. And then you're gay for that?" Poor Petthri.

I realized today that before I ever watched MASH, I saw an episode of Community where they talked about Hawkeye a lot. I went back and watched it and it somehow managed to move me close to tears just by referencing MASH, so that shows you how deep my brain worms go.
Anyway, at the start of the episode Abed compares Jeff to Hawkeye, for “keeping his upbeat manner and charm, even in the 11th year of the Korean War,” (which is obviously just a one-off joke about the 4077’s time loop, but it Feels Bad™ when you come back to it having watched the 11th season) and then throughout the episode Jeff tries to emulate Hawkeye by cracking wise and drinking martinis. Near the end of the episode, Abed tells him, “If you’d ever actually seen the show you’d know that Hawkeye didn’t just bed nurses and drink martinis. He also had blood sprayed on his face and barked orders when the choppers came in. If he didn’t, people died.” And that is the line that made me wall watery-eyed and weird for like a solid hour.
The universal experience, I find, is that hearing about MASH secondhand leads people to believe that Hawkeye is like a sarcastic James Bond or something. I grew up hearing occasional MASH references because my parents are actually the correct age to have watched MASH (unlike me, whoops), and I came away with exactly that impression. And I hated James Bond because he was a creep, so I never thought highly of Hawkeye, a character I’d never even laid eyes on.
When I actually started watching MASH, I started at the beginning of season 1, back when Hawkeye was significantly more hokey and they hadn’t yet settled into the character, and even then I fell in love with him within the pilot. The thing that I finally understood was that Hawkeye Pierce did sleep with a lot of nurses, and make a lot of jokes, and drink enough gin to embalm himself, but it became clear to me within just a few episodes that the most essential element of the character is his compassion, which is something that no one ever talks about (outside of Tumblr where we never shut up about it).
There are times when Hawkeye doesn’t make jokes, and there are times when Hawkeye doesn’t flirt with nurses, and there are times when Hawkeye doesn’t drink martinis, but you could hold a gun to my head and I couldn’t think of a time when Hawkeye wasn’t compassionate, besides episodes where there is something very wrong with him. Like, the only time that he doesn’t hum with compassion like a human tuning fork are the moments where he explicitly is not being himself.
And it drives me absolutely crazy. It makes me want to eat glass. Why does this incredible character echo through pop culture as a womanizing martini-swiller? I am deathly afraid of them remaking MASH within my lifetime, because I’m scared they’ll do the same thing to Hawkeye that JJ Abrams did to Jim Kirk, where they just sweep all of complexities of the character under the rug in favor of making him into a manly man who Has Sex with Women, We Promise.

I’m back for part 2! Chuuya deserves it! 👀
Im dying to know what domestic life is like with the king? What’s his home look like? What does he do in his downtime? How’s he with chores? Really whatever comes to mind when living with a man like him. Thank-you kindly, lovely! <3

Nakahara Chuuya
So, Chuuya's memories only start from when he was seven. He essentially woke up to being dragged out of a dark void, before Arahabaki's power exploded and created the crater that eventually became Suribachi City. We don't know much about the intervening eight years between when he was freed and when he met Dazai, but it's easy to assume he was living in the slums, either on the streets or squatting in empty buildings. The point I'm driving at is that Chuuya didn't really have a domestic life until he joined the Sheep, and probably nowhere comfortable until he joined the Port Mafia.
As such, he doesn't take his home for granted.
It took Chuuya a while to cultivate his current taste. His first couple of Port Mafia paychecks were probably spent on clothes, food, games—stuff a fifteen year old street rat would want but couldn't afford. Kouyou stepped in when she realised his room looked like an empty box with a bed and clothes strewn everywhere. She insists she's not his mother, but she took him under her wing and directed him toward interior design and actually buying furniture beyond a bed.
Nowadays, Chuuya doesn't need any help whatsoever. I feel like his taste leans toward 1920s luxury. Think art deco, deep colours, polished woods, lots of light. He's upgraded his living space a few times to go along with his rise in status, and one of his favourite things is working out how he's gonna make this empty white box into a home.
This man has antiques. He ignored all the jokes and bought himself an antique hat stand that sits in his foyer. Dazai can go choke; it makes Chuuya happy. He's careful about what he picks—he doesn't enjoy clutter for the sake of clutter, unless it belongs to his s/o. (Your stuff triggers his simp switch and he likes seeing it around, mixed with his things.)
Now, he's also a 21st-Century guy with a lot of money on his hands, so there'll be copious gadgets mixed in with the tasteful vintage decor. He has every games console going, and one of those ridiculous TVs that comes out from behind a panel in the wall. The coffee machine in the kitchen would put a hipster coffee shop to shame, honestly.
He has a big closet. You can't look at that guy and tell me he doesn't have a walk-in wardrobe. Padded hangers, cedarwood drawers, stands for his hats, a drawer full of gloves—your guy has them all. He insisted on cedarwood because it discourages moths, and smells a lot better than mothballs.
Despite his bad habit of throwing his overcoat and gloves around, Chuuya takes care of his things, including his home. He's not a neat freak, but he's trained himself to take dishes to the kitchen, throw out trash, etc. If his s/o lives with him, he tries to split the chores 50/50 but it's not always feasible if he's out working long hours. If the housework gets too much, he'll hire someone to come in and take care of it.
He doesn't like washing up, but will take care of all the dusting, take out the trash, and he rarely generates much laundry because this expensive mofo gets it dry cleaned. The washing up thing is because he hates rubber gloves, and wet food touching his bare hands gives him the ick. He'll dry the dishes. Honestly, though, he probably invests in a dishwasher and a roomba (nicknamed Dazai, because it sucks.)
Chuuya doesn't get a lot of downtime, so he tries to make it count. Time spent with you is the best, even if it just involves sitting around the apartment catching up on books, movies, or TV shows he's wanted to consume. He likes going shopping, but he especially likes going shopping with you to buy stuff for the apartment. He refuses to go to the hellscape that is Ikea, but most other places are fair game. He likes his own taste, of course, but Chuuya likes seeing things around the apartment that you've chosen. He looks for ways to blend your taste with his, so you create a cosy, harmonious place that reflects the both of you.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo Episode 11
Ok this episode made me laugh...
Reminded me that there are so many trash called humans, walking in this earth...
Made me blush and then made me mad.
So I guess it was a great one lol
The Elevator
I laughed so hard in the elevator scene when the CEO asked Young-Woo about her concerns I thought that maybe she was worried about the firm having issues with employees being in a relationship, so I was worried she was gonna spill the beans too soon about it. BUT when she started talking about kissing with the mouth open, hahahaha I was not ready for that one.
Tumblr media
The Window Blinds
When I saw her looking at him through the window blinds, OMG hahahaha this was another thing that made me lose it 🤣 the whole things was so damn cute. One thing I love about this show is how much I laugh in it.
Tumblr media
The Video Call
"He is so cute!!!!" The amount of times that I say this out loud every time Jun-Ho does something cute can be a lot. HE IS SO DAMN CUTE!!
When he told her, *Oh so you got what you wanted so you want to hang up, BUT WHAT ABOUT ME AHH??? 🙈🙉* Hahahaha
It's so nice to see that she is thinking about him, her development is beautiful.
Karma is Beautiful
It was a reality check for me the whole case this episode had. Sometimes I forget how cynical and cruel people can be. This guy seemed so loving carrying his wife in the back. At the end the Rat was cheating and ambitious AF. So much that Karma took care of it. It felt nice watching him die in his 300 million won car.
Tumblr media
Give the Girl a Break
I felt bad for Choi. Her story line is confusing me every episode lol, because I always try to assume where her story line is going and apparently it ends up not going there. Lol!
So from the beginning I thought that her and Kwon were gonna be a thing because... you know... They are always bickering to eachother. So that's the typical storyline. Then the Girl liked Jun-Ho, so I was like, "oh no! She is going be the annoying girl story line". Well, that didn't last long lol [Thankfully!]
Then the girl goes in a date with Min-Sik. I'm like "I don't see it. But I guess..." then she meets this guy and he is a total fiasco. I mean, give the girl a break...
Now I'm going back to square one, I think her and Kwon might be a thing at the end. Or is she going to end up giving Min-Sik a second chance after he finds her drunk somewhere with that bottle of alcohol and makes her laugh with Law jokes? Who knows...
Tumblr media
The Hug Chair
That scene where he hugged her, as she kept saying "Tighter" so he did. That was so wholesome to watch.
Listen that "Do you really have to buy one?, I'll be one for you... Your personal hug Chair" I think is the winner against "That's disappointing" hahahaha, OH MY GOD!!! He melts me! I swear! He is a hot sun to my ice cube heart! He is so damn cute!!! I can't stop saying that.
And THEY KISSED AGAIN!!!
I get nervous when he gets close to her like that, as if it was me lol hahaha I don't know why I'm this invested hahaha... I must say, my guy kisses really cute, those lips are pretty to look at.
(His smile is absolutely gorgeous)
God please let me see more men like that in real life. I know they are out there! 🙏🏾 I acknowledge they exist! Amen!!
I have some opinions about marriage nowadays. I don't know if I ever will... But, one thing is for sure! I find a man like that, and I won't think it twice.
Tumblr media
The Dad!
The dad saw them! 😆 what does this mean now?
Is he going to freak out and think she is in danger and would want to move to Boston because he thinks no man will treat her well?
Is he going to be dancing Macarena because she found a loving man and will bring that stupid Info book that the mom gave him right to her office desk?
I guess we shall see...
Tumblr media
The Mom...
Ok! This one...
When Kwon showed up in her office talking about 1996... I was like "Dude, are you this lousy?" The Audacity!
Then the mom started to get a smiling face and I didn't like where that was going so I was like...
Tumblr media
Then she started to talk about getting Woo out of Hanbada and I was like...
Tumblr media
I kinda had hopes for you woman, but you are now in the bad people list.
Then little MISS Kwon started to nod and I was like...
Tumblr media
I kinda had hopes that you would turn arround when I saw the concern on your face when she asked you to do that. But dude, are you really going to be this stupid for the whole drama? No change whatsoever from you? I still have a little hope for you for some reason 😒 am I still naive? Probably...

Julian Bashir Playlist Time!!
Apple Music playlist (if you're a heathen and subscribe to apple music like me) here
I know that there's plenty of people making playlists, but I really feel like this is an under-utilized brand of fan content. Instead of attempting to create a list of songs that Julian would listen to, or a playlist of songs which were all lyrically directly applicable (though there certainly some of those in here) regardless of genre, I tried to create something which captured, above all, his vibes instead, by choosing songs that balance at least somewhat relevant lyrical content with the energy or feel that I associate with the character. What it means matters, but not as much as how it makes you feel. That said, I signed up for apple music and read a TON of those overwrought iTunes store album review descriptions while I was making this, so I have a whole lot to say about all my choices here. In depth explanation of my symbolism and methodology behind each song under the keep reading. (I love tumblr. I want to write 1,000 words of analysis about why I picked songs to represent Julian Bashir and some of you are gonna read it. This is where I get to pretend to be one of those iTunes music writers. I feel joy.)
Good Morning - Two Door Cinema Club TDCC's Gameshow is high on my favorite albums of all time list for nebulous reasons I myself don't really understand. It was this album, though not this song (but one that will pop up later) that actually inspired me to make this playlist to begin with, as for some reason, from the color scheme of the album cover, to the overall vibe, to the ever-present references to illness, injury, surgery and healers in the lyrics, the whole thing feels inescapably Julian to me. And with an opening like I'm a sinner/I'm the victim/I'm an alien when I'm myself/I'm a healer/I'm a fixer/I'm a present danger to my health/I'm so strong/Doing what I'm supposed to do/ There's something wrong/With somebody like me, it's hard NOT to think about Julian when you hear this song, and I can't think of a better way to start this off.
Sweater Weather - The Neighbourhood I think there's a joke somewhere about bisexual people all liking Sweater Weather, and yeah, I resemble that remark. Sweater Weather is just good. You'll notice there's a sort of chill-indie-alt-electronic thing going here, and that is very much the vibe I'm sticking with. Sweater Weather slots in beautifully, both sonically and thematically. As the singer looks to warm and protect the person he's with from the cold, you can't help but feel a loving coziness coming off of this one. It always makes me feel cozy, at least, so it's here.
Gooey - Glass Animals I have nothing to analyze here because the artists themselves have said that the lyrics of this song have no meaning, they're just meant to capture a vibe, and capture it they do. Close your eyes and ride the vibes of this one. The energy is right, I love it, it belongs here.
Blue - Mika I could probably write a couple hundred words on Blue alone, in any context. This might be my beloved Mika's magnum Opus. Opening the song with the inherently counterintuitive lyric Blue is a feminine color, Mika manages to pack it ALL into this 3 minute song: questions about gender; concepts of sadness, joy, and their intersections; of the perception of melancholy as a flaw and loving people despite, or maybe because of, those "flaws" and anything else about them; a powerful first person reassurance that made me start weeping in my car the first time I heard it; just the phrase "why are humans cruel to you." And oh boy, ARE there questions of gender. Why is blue NOT considered a feminine color? Is that a good thing, a bad thing? In 3 minutes of artful poetry, Mika manages to wrap up sadness, love, joy, pain, the feminine that exists within the masculine and the masculine that exists within the feminine, in the simple color of blue and then, in one lyric, validates it all. And on a much simpler and more obvious note, this is in fact all a philosophic musing on the symbolic meaning of the color we see Julian wearing almost all the time (when he's not in uniform, almost all his civvies are also shades of blue.) I feel like this is one of those songs that's hard to analyze because it does what music and poetry does best - communicate something that cannot be communicated any other way. With these broad themes of loving others around the things they can't love about themselves, you can decide for yourself if this one is coming FROM Julian or directed AT him, either works. I find myself struggling for exactly the words to explain this one, but listen to it; you'll understand.
Little Dark Age - MGMT Another choice with no obvious lyrical relevance, but the tonal fit was just too good to pass up. The vibes pass.
The City - The 1975 This song is one of several present because it leans on medical symbolism to get its point across, though I would be lying if I said I fully understood what that point was. But the entire second verse, apparently about the song's subject suffering from some kind of illness and reassuring him that the next one's the M.D./You'll be feeling just fine, seems somehow to transmit the discomfort of illness directly to the listener. I don't know how or why, but the effectiveness of the empathy the second half of this song elicits, in me at least, puts it squarely in the "odd medical vibes" category.
Surgery - Two Door Cinema Club THIS is the song that inspired this whole playlist, mostly because of its title and general vibe. Another example (of many) of medical/anatomical references in this album (another of the songs is called Fever, etc), this song just feels like Julian to me.
The Other Side Of Paradise - Glass Animals I really like Glass Animals. That is probably becoming obvious. Aside from its delightfully cohesive vibes, this song opens with what's simultaneously the slyest and most brazen gay lyric I have heard on the radio recently, as the male singer says When I was young and stupid my love left to be a rock and roll star/HE told me... The song seems to be about a man whose male lover left him in pursuit of fame and fortune, and eventually ends up with a woman, leaving the singer behind. It's got simultaneously subtle and obvious gay themes, it's got confused love affairs, it's got so much bisexual energy. I cannot think of anything that could be more Julian.
Sit Next To Me - Foster The People Kind of like Sweater Weather, this whole song is built around a rather cute and sweet "sit next to me," and you can't help but feel a bit warm and cozy when you listen to it. I think it pairs with sweater weather well, and slides in with the rest of the picks very nicely.
Nothing Better - The Postal Service (the original band of the lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie) Another example of heavy surgical symbolism, the very first lyric of this song is Will someone please call a surgeon. This is actually a duet, and the singers speak of their real hearts to represent their emotional ones. Something about Your heart won't heal right if you keep tearing out the sutures always gets me and always will. And it vibes good. It vibes so, so good.
&Run - Sir Sly Sir Sly's &Run is my favorite song for driving too fast. It does an amazing job of musical onomatopoeia, talking about running while making you want to run. It's a song about running out of plans and running as far as you can instead, which is all very "I'm illegal by definition so I went to the farthest possible reaches of space." And like everything else here, it just feels good. It's also one of the only highlights here that I can actually see Julian listening to.
Cosmic Love - Florence and the Machine It's no coincidence that it seems like most of us who are invested in Julian Bashir are some flavor of genderqueer, be it trans, nonbinary, questioning, or something else entirely - the man's got a Gender with a capital G, and there's a whole lot going on in there. Between the words that were written for him on the page, and the words that were actually spoken, and the way he carries himself, Julian always seems caught between the white, western, and frequently toxic masculinity that the writers often seemed to want to imbue him with, and the very different, racially and culturally distinct masculinity Sid actually brought. But there's an undeniable element of the feminine in Julian too, at least by a traditional definition. The presence of this part of him at all, much less the fact that, in-universe, it's the more traditionally "feminine" parts of himself - the caregiving and nurturing aspects - that Julian seems proudest of or to like most about himself, is a large part of what makes his character so interesting, at least to me. So there was no way I was getting out of this without acknowledging that somehow, and I can't think of a better way to acknowledge a complicated relationship with the feminine side of one's own gender than with this world's own Celtic divine feminine, Florence Welch. I can't think of any better artist, at least that I know of, to represent femininity as a nonspecific ethereal goddess-concept. I basically spun the wheel of Florence here, as anything would have worked, but Cosmic Love felt very appropriate for a character who does in fact live in space. There could even be some Garashir in here, I think.
Dream Sweet In Sea Major - ミラクルミュージカル, or Miracle Musical, a sister act made up of members of Tally Hall I also couldn't leave off without acknowledging Julian's affection for classic lounge music, especially since it's the only thing about his taste in music that we actually know. But instead of tacking on some rat pack, instead I'm polishing this off with the incredibly chaotic and somehow also perfectly cohesive and calm Dream Sweet in Sea Major. It's got all of the vibes of a lounge singer but gone completely off the rails, which just seems perfect somehow. And it's also a very nice feeling to be left with, so it seems only right to put it at the end.
and if you've read all of this, I love you. Y'all didn't know I was this into music did you. but I am. oh boy. I AM.

I forgot I sent in the Selkie!MC thought! But thank you for reminding me and also thanks for the Nadia thought because now all that's in my head is this following idea of how she finds out about MC (if you have your own idea please share, I'm just chucking mine out because I'm a mess for these characters and the myth and folklore genres).
Also forgive the length of it, I started typing and the idea grew much, much further than intended. I should not be as invested in mythical and folklore creatures as I am, but once I start thinking it does. not. stop.
Anyway, here's the initial idea I had:
Nadia's not a fan of hypocritical behaviour because, fine, some people have moral codes but at least have the strength of character to stick to them. So she's annoyed about the Poppy having a pet seal, so maybe she decides to be petty about it and give them the metaphorical finger.
How does she decide to do this?
By kidnapping the seal and releasing it back into the wild of course!
She figures out quite quickly that the seal in question isn't always in the pool, but for the life of her she can't find out where they keep it indoors. Is there a hidden water tank inside she doesn't know about? If there is she can't find it, which leaves the pool as the only viable option to take the "poor, trapped animal" from.
And sure, MC loves being (as you perfectly put it) a menace in the pool when others are around, but sometimes she just likes to swim yk? So she goes swimming on her own sometimes.
And during one of Nadia's checkups on the spot, she sees the seal splashing around unsupervised and sees her chance.
MC does not expect the net.
She thrashes, of course, but at first thinks it's an ill-advissd, not very sensitive prank and is just like "I'm gonna kill them" until she realises exactly who has just pulled her out of the water.
The plan for Nadia had been to use a seal-carrier bag usually used by rescuers after getting the seal out of the net.
The plan absolutely had not included the thrashing seal to almost immediately shift into an infuriated MC because she recognises the bag Nadia's holding and it might not exactly be a cage but it's pretty close and she doesn't know what the hell Nadia wants with a seal so she's at least going to get into a form where she can defend herself.
Nadia's of course frozen in shock and barely avoids getting her nose broken again.
The Poppy hear MC shouting and come running, and Vivienne nearly kills Nadia the moment she sees the net, the bag and MC clinging to her sealskin. The rest of the Poppy are fully ready to throw down but it's Nadia's shock that saves her because she just blurts out "You're a SEAL?" And the Poppy pauses because they're like "...you aren't trying to take her coat?"
"Wtf would I do that? You think I need sealskin?"
And they really don't like this situation, they don’t want to be in a position where they have to trust Nadia because, yk, it's Nadia, but they can't kill her either (Vivienne does ask again if they can reconsider their no killing rule, but this time she's only half joking) so they don't really have a choice. They chuck her out as fast as possible because they are not explaining anything that could give her leverage and also they don't want her around MC, and Nadia's more than happy to book it out of there because she needs more information but her mind is still reeling (MC, seal, MC, seal, MC is the seal, what the-). The Poppy move to another penthouse and are gearing up to dispell any rumours that might "crop up" about MC in the Underworld, practicing scoffing in people's faces like "Selkies? You mean like magic? That doesn't exist!"
But Nadia doesn't spread any rumours, there's just total silence, nothing to indicate that anyone's heard anything about Selkies or seals.
And nobody's going to, because once Nadia's done her research and worked out that, yes, MC is an apparently not-so-mythical Selkie, she knows she isn't going to tell anyone (aside from looking insane if she did so, she also does want to win the Poppy over and stealing a pet seal is one thing but this is on an entirely different level).
Of course her research of Selkies inevitably raises the point of how important MC's sealskin coat actually is, and it clicks in her brain exactly what the Poppy thought she was doing by attempting to kidnap MC, and Nadia's a terrible human being, okay? Absolutely terrible, she would kill a man without hesitation, she would wreck someone's life in all kinds of ways, but she wouldn't do that. She gets the implications of what taking the coat would mean immediately, what it looked like to the Poppy by the pool before they realised she didn't know, hadn't worked it out.
And the Poppy don't hear anything, not for a while, as Nadia tries to work out how to approach the situation, until she gets wind of Vivienne punching a man who hadn't known that MC was a Selkie, but had thought that the sealskin coat looked very nice and tried to steal it.
He ends up dead in a couple days.
please never never apologise holy shit also please tell me you write??? please tell me you have fic somewhere that i can read because oh my gos your mind???? i’m about to go zombie weird on you and your beautiful brain lmaoooo this had me laughing out loud!! nadia ‘releasing the poor, captive seal back into the wild’ ajdjdjfkfkfk.
all i could imagine when i read that, though, was— you know that one scene in the parent trap? where the twins take meredith (??) camping, and as she’s sleeping they drag her blow up mattress out into the middle of the lake? like either THAT or the fucking aristocats, with MC waking up in the middle of the wilds hearing a toad croak directly beside her ear like ‘MAMA? D:’
but oh my GOSH!!!!! at nadia understanding the implications of her rescue attempt looking like she’s trying to steal MC’s coat. oh god. i can’t tell you how much of a sucker i am when it comes to ‘yes, i will do unquestionably evil acts, but i don’t fuck with kids/animals/vulnerable people’ villains. you sexy piece of shit. 😔👌
also can we just for a second appreciate after everything calms down nadia rocking up to mc with like a bucket of fish or smth equally awful because she is still, alas, a rat bastard. <3

-Formal Beginnings-
Synopsis: You’re a pro hero! You’ve been assigned on an undercover mission with a younger (Pre-UA teacher) Eraserhead. You’ve been in battle together before and you’re no stranger to each other. But having to dress in formal attire and infiltrate a lavish mansion full of drug dealing villains, wasn’t something either of you are very used to.
-
Word Count: 3,478
Tumblr media
Aizawa has worked with you on a few jobs here and there when it was called for. But it was never anything like the task the two of you were assigned tonight. He was used to the quick capture and detain types of missions and they were what he was used to- this was way out of his comfort zone.
---
He sat in the waiting room, the two of you were called in at the last minute as something unexpectedly came up. It was briefly mentioned over the phone what you two would be doing but they were waiting on you to show up before giving a full briefing. It shouldn't be long- he lived closer anyway and had been up doing laundry and cleaning up his less than appealing apartment even if it was already past midnight. He could only assume the call had roused you awake. You had a decent grip on a sleep schedule as far as he could tell.
His suspicions were only confirmed when the doors slammed open to you coming hurriedly in with messy hair and pajamas with your hero suit half sticking out of your bag. He couldn't help but snicker seeing the loose pants covered with cartoon kittens- he never got to see you like this and he found it a bit cute. But he was quickly brought out of his thoughts as you came over and spoke.
“Have you gotten the details yet, or are we waiting on me?”
You were a bit out a breath, no doubt from the run here. He stood up and simply shook his head.
“I have an idea, but no. No details yet.”
He watched as you put your leg up on one of the chairs and balanced your bag on it as you rummaged through it pulling out a hair brush and frantically running it through your locks.
“Okay, good good. Just give me a second to get changed into my suit then we can go i-”
But you were cut off, he glanced up to see the police Chief Tsuragamae had joined them.
“Dont bother changing you two will have to be wearing formal wear for this.”
He glanced over to see your confused look as you set the bag down and placed your foot back firmly on the floor- this is the part that was briefly mentioned on the phone to him.
He sighed and shrugged.
“It's an undercover mission. They want us in formal attire.” He looks up at the dog. “And I dont think I'm the best person for this, especially without my capture weapon right?”
The nod of response causes him to huff. The thought of potentially getting into trouble without it didn't sit well with him. He wouldn't be able to protect you if it comes down to it and it gave him a bad taste. But he was sure there was more to the situation if he was specifically put on this job, so he waited for Tsuragamae to continue.
“We have been watching this group for a few months now, they’re not big but they seem to be pretty heftily funded- we’ve been able to detain a few of the thugs but their leader has a sort of teleportation quirk. Which is why we need you.”
He simply nodded in understanding now. Following the chief into his office with you alongside him as he proceeded to give visuals with his further explanation.
“Because of his quirk he has always escaped our men and it's only a few days before they start causing trouble again. They’re a part of the development of quirk drugs. We managed to track down and interrogate one of the people funding this group. The boss is hosting a party tonight for investors and potential future ones. I know you wont have your capture weapon, but that is why you’re plus one will be Miss Y/N here."
He glances over at you, your quirk has definitely been a helpful one in the past. Like his it wasn't very flashy, you had the ability to halt all movements of anyone you touched. Which certainly would help in detaining someone. You gave him a big smile, he was a little less worried now but still this was all a bit much.
“So what kinda dress did you pick out for me, it better not be too bright- god forbid if it’s orange.”
You spoke out causing the Chief to smile and hand you each bag and send you on your way. Having further information to your phones.
The both of you went into the police locker rooms together. He pulled out the contents of his bags and immediately grimaced.
“Oh come on you’ll look great in a tux!”
You were looking at him with a dumb smirk. He was a bit embarrassed, he hated wearing this kind of stuff. He preferred his usual loose fitting comfy clothing. He hesitantly took off the binds that were around his neck and comfortably sat on his shoulders.
“Just something im not used to is all- hope it doesn't restrict movement too much”
Once he saw you were turned away, he did the same. It wasn't uncommon for heros to change in the same room. Ones with the same agencies typically shared one common area, and after all they are professionals- just gotta keep it professional… he wasn't paying much attention as he changed into the monkey suit, buttoning the pants up and beginning to wrap the belt around his waist when you had gasped completely catching him off guard he almost spun around to look- but had just caught himself.
“Whats wrong- Are you decent?”
You were silent for a bit which had him a bit concerned but when you finally spoke he almost laughed.
“I really like this dress. And yes I am, I just need a little help with the zipper on the back.”
He rolled his eyes but at the confirmation he turned around- and wow. He did have to take a moment watching and looking you over as you admired yourself in the mirror. It was a tight fitting black sequin dress. It dragged a bit behind you but had a slit that had one of your legs sticking out with some matching black heels.
“You gonna stop ogling or what, we got a party to get to Eraser.”
He was snapped out of his thoughts and had a bit of a blush now but came over close behind you and pinched the top of the dress together and smoothly zipped it up.
“Sorry, hard to believe the same girl in baggy pajamas and ridiculous bedhead is the same one im looking at now- thought someone took my partner.”
You gave him a bit of a glare and he smiled- but as you turned around to face him and the mess he left his tie in you shook your head, grabbing the edges of his coat to pull him forward. And undoing the tie to fix it.
“At least your partner can properly tie, and we need to fix your hair too. You’re gonna look like a hoodlum going in with that rats nest- no drug investor is gonna look like that”
He was at a bit of a loss for words as you pulled him and started to fix what he had screwed up, though he didn't think it was that bad. But oh man, you were way too close for comfort, you were practically pressed up against him- and in that dress he could see right down-
He was startled when you pushed him down and he fell back onto the bench between the lockers and you started running your brush through his hair- this was too much. Even through the mess he was in he couldn't let this continue with how he was getting a few butterflies in his stomach so he waved you off.
“Calm down, I can fix it myself… Thank you though”
He had slicked most of it back and tied the top half up as well. Lazily, but still an improvement from before. He looked to you for your approval. Your thumbs up in response brought a slight smile to him.
You two went out the door into the unmarked police car, he opened the door for you before getting in on the other side. The both of you looked over the further details that were sent to your phones. Up until you pulled up to the gate with a large mansion in the back, he got out with you in tow.
“Shota, When I think of villain bases, I think of spooky underground cellar types- not, well, this”
“On a first name basis now?”
He watched you a bit confused, you two were a bit close but he doesnt think you’ve ever called him by his first name before.
“What am I supposed to be calling you Eraserhead around a whole bunch of villains?”
You had a point and gained a chuckle out of him nodding. He was surprisingly a lot less stressed about the whole thing compared to earlier. He's sure that was gonna change at some point. But for now it almost felt like he was taking you on some sort of fancy date. He wouldn't mind something like that, he'd even be willing to get dressed up like this.
You had wrapped your arm around his and walked in unison to the guard standing before the door. Aizawa had given the man the name of the man the police detained and it seems there was no issue as his name was checked off the list, and they were quickly checked to make sure they weren't harboring any weapons before walking in.
He looked down at you as you both looked around and took the place in, “Well Shota, I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so nice here.”
“It's probably how they get funding, put on a pleasing image and you get more backing. They think they know what the group’s doing and find it to be a safe investment.”
He glanced down beside him to find you looking up at him- he quickly looked away and continued.
“Well, lets just blend in till we find our guy- then we can make a plan and try to get him secluded… so-” he rubs the back of his neck, “care to dance?”
You were clearly a bit taken aback by his words where he was almost going to take it back and act as he was joking.
“I didn't think you could even dance, I would love to.”
He sighed a bit in relief and took your hand as he kept his voice low, “not well, but I know enough of the basics.”
So he did, he took your hand and led you out to where other couples were dancing. And held you close while staying in rhythm to the music, started swaying. It was a good place to be after all, they were in the center of the large ballroom and were able to look around to see the target.
He was actively looking around up until you decided to rest your head against his chest as you danced. He wanted to scold you for being unprofessional, but he couldn't deny the fact that he liked the feeling too much to tell you to stop. And with the spinning pattern everyone was dancing in he was able to get a clear view of all the room anyway, no reason to ruin the good time yet. Instead he kept his hand on the small of your back and kept you close.
He did struggle to keep focus, he found himself glancing down at your frame against his more than he cares to admit. But always snapped back to it, you had a job to do after all. He barely was able to spot the man standing on one of the balconies watching the crowd, the target.
“Y/N.”
“Hey, Y/N!” He hissed and it jossled you a bit.
You were clearly zoned out, and having been enjoying yourself maybe a bit too much. Though who could blame you.
“The targets on one the top balcony, back by the east wing. He seems to have 3 body guards- with one going out and returning every few minutes. We should go while he's alone with them- It’ll make this a lot harder when he decides to join the party and he's surrounded by dozens of people”
Aizawa made his way with you off the main floor, before simply giving you a nudge
“Are you alright?”
You gave a nod in response.
“Yeah, sorry, it's just been a while since I've ever danced with someone proper like that. I wont zone out again, don't worry.”
He smiled, having made up his mind on his thought from earlier.
“Well, I don't think I’d mind taking you out on a fancy date like this. Ya’ know, when our lives aren't on the line.”
Your head practically snapped up to look at him. And once again immediately regretted the forwardness- it was a bit out of line. You were partners, but not in that sense
“I-”
But before he could even start apologizing you got this giddy grin that made his heart skip a beat.
“Are you serious?”
“Well- I mean, yeah.”
He watched as you hummed. “I think that sounds very nice, a fancy night out on the town and some relaxation would be good for you. You're starting to become more of a hermit everytime I see you.”
He rolled his eyes. It wouldn't be for him, if he had to choose a type of date it would be lounging at home watching a movie and then a nap. But the thought of getting to see you in a dress like this again did get him excited.
He could talk about it more and defend his hermit status later, as the two of you were already at the top of the stairs and he motioned for you to be quiet. You both made your way down the hallway up until you stopped and hissed- he was worried something was wrong until he saw you leaning against the wall and taking off the heels.
“The damn clacking-”
He chuckled and nodded in understanding before spotting one of the guards standing outside the door. If only he had his capture weapon, it would've made easy work immobilizing all of the guards. He tried to think up a plan for a moment- but was drawn out of it by a pair of heels being placed in his hands for him to hold onto as you had stepped out into view. It made his anxiety shoot up for a moment- but hopefully you had a plan since you had revealed yourself.
The guard spoke first. “Hey lady, you're not supposed to be up here.”
Shota sat where he was still hidden but watching, the guard clearly didn't see you as a threat yet which was at the very least good. But what were you planning that you couldnt tell him first?
He watched as you- stumbled?
“H-Huh- what me? I'm just- trying to find the bathroom- couldn't find one anywhere I swear-”
You gave a hiccup, oh my god were you pretending to be drunk? It wasn't a bad act but he was still confused. He watched as the guard looked around a moment not seeing anyone did he smile at Y/N.
“Ah Miss you’ve gone all the wrong ways- why don't ya’ let me take ya’ don't worry yer’ in safe hands.”
Shota grimaced and felt a bit sick, how disgusting and low men could get. So far to try something even while on the job. And just thinking about a man taking advantage of you made his blood boil.
But as he put an arm around Y/N the conditions were met for her to activate her quirk and he finally saw what she was going for as the guy went stiff as a board as every muscle in his body locked up, jaw and tongue included so he couldn't speak.
You slipped out from under his arm and made your way back to him with a pleasant smile on your face.
“I think my acting is pretty up there ain't it.”
He wasn’t very amused by the whole thing, “you could've at least told me you know, could've done something better than playing a drunk victim.”
“Got the job done didn't it. Only two guards and the target to go right?”
He sighs, you had a point. It just didn't sit well with him and gave him a sour taste. He gave a nod as he looked at the door, the three should be just on the other side.
“Alright I got an idea.”
---
He explained to you quietly and swiftly. That this had to be an instant take down. Otherwise they risked the chance of alerting the others in the building, and that would make things a mess and the target would probably instantly escape. He had to use his quirk on the boss instantly otherwise it was game over. The entrance to the balcony was a double door opening outwards, each of you would hide on each side. Make a noise and as they came out to investigate, you each would pop out. He would use his quirk on the boss on the balcony and deal with his guard the old fashioned way. You would use your quirk to stun the guard and bolt and do the same on the target before they had a chance to call for help. It was simple enough and straight to the point but he thought it was the best option given your circumstances. When you had eagerly nodded in agreement you both took your places to the side of the large oak doors.
He gave a final nod to you and you returned it. He picked up the pair of heels he’d been holding and wasted not a moment more to toss them in front of the door, the hard plastic making a loud enough clap against the tile floor that it was only a few seconds before the door hesitantly opened and the two guards peered out guns drawn. It was time to go.
He sprung out along with you. A little bit further to get a view of the boss in the back, his hair going high as he made sure this guy wasn't going anywhere. But there was also the gun in his face he had to deal with- good thing you caught them by surprise, they weren't ready to pull the trigger. He bobbed to the side and with a swift movement popped the bottom of the guys jaw with his elbow. He dropped his gun and before he even hit the floor you were already on the target and had locked up both of the men.
He gave a sigh of relief, but quickly helped you move the men off the balcony before you had any peeping eyes overseeing the catastrophe.
“It's nice seeing you get physical- most times I see you its just all about manipulating that scarf of yours”
“What, didn't think I’ve had combat training?”
He raised a brow looking you over, your quirk really was amazing and it came in handy on many occasions. Now especially since he can't deny someone's quirk for more than a few minutes at most. Yours lasted hours.
He pulled out his phone, “Im gonna call the chief, we got the guy they wanted. The force can come in and wrap the rest of this up.”
You simply hummed in agreement as you picked back up your heels slipping them back on, your feet were getting cold simply standing on the polished tile.
---
Before you knew it Tsuragamae had waves of armed police flood the building. And since the security in this place made such a point of disarming the guests, there wasn't much of a struggle. And the target was quickly carried off into custody.
“I’d say that was a mission success!”
He looked over at you as you both sat on an outside bench. His overcoat wrapped around your shoulders, it and your hair swaying gently with the breeze as you swirled and sipped off a champagne glass you had grabbed amongst the chaos on the way out.
You both sat in silence watching as police came in and out of the building with bundles of the party guests, sticking around just in case there was a need for your assistance.
But since you both were simply waiting, he smiled as he thought he’d bring up a bit of conversation. Shifting his weight and leaning over some.
“So how about that date?”

I love Jon and Sansa's not so sibling relationship and I love Theon and Yara's sibling relationship. I'm sure there are connections between the two. Can you list the ways in which they are foils? Thank you!
Hey, nonnie!
Sorry for taking so long to answer this. I’ve had to spend some time thinking about how I was going to tackle it because I’m not sure I’m quite the right person to answer this question.
My main issue is that I don’t particularly like Yara as a character and I’m not all together happy with the way the show has handled the Yara/Theon relationship.
So, please ignore me while I go on a rant about my issues with Yara and then I will go on to attempt to draw a few parallel/foil examples between Theon/Yara and Jonsa.
I have a pretty hard time talking about Yara because in theory she’s a great character: she looks and acts badass but is still emotional and invested in the well-being of the people she cares about, she’s funny and charming and Gemma Whelan is a wonderful actress who looks and acts the part. However, that’s the theory and the actress.
My problem with her is that in narrative terms, she’s very much a character that talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk. If this was an in-story flaw, I’d have no problems with it but it isn’t. This is the writers wanting to have a badass female character but also not wanting her to overpower the male characters in the show.
I’ll give you a few examples:
Yara coming to rescue Theon from Ramsay
I absolutely loved Yara standing up to her father, calling him a coward and saying she was going to save “her little brother”. However, she ends up at the Dreadfort and runs away the moment a shirtless man and his dogs scream at her. There was so much emotional build-up to that scene for it to fizzle out because the writers wanted to protect Ramsay not just from death, but from any significant injury/consequence.
Yara’s pitch for the Salt Throne
Since her introduction, Yara has been presented as the real reaver in this story. Tough, able, brave, knowledgeable, we were lead to believe people whole heartily supported her and even more importantly that she knew exactly how to talk to these people and what she needed to do for them. Then Yara makes her pitch as queen and all of a sudden not only do people point to Theon as a better option because he’s male (even though they scorned him when he first showed up on the Iron Islands) but end up very quickly turning on her and picking Euron, a guy they haven’t seen in years, over her. But that’s not even the most egregious thing. We could always chalk that up to male privilege.
The real issue is that when Yara makes her speech, she says very little of any real substance and then the moment she’s challenged, she becomes flustered. It’s up to Theon to make the salient points she should have made and then the writers give the truly revolutionary ideas to Euron who wants to develop and raise the Iron Born past the level of thugs they’ve been stuck in for centuries.
Euron’s attack on the Blackwater
Yara is supposed to be a battle hardened naval commander but Euron manages to surprise her and defeat her with little to no effort. I don’t have an issue with Yara losing the battle but the entire set-up shows her as being incompetent because not only didn’t she think there was a chance they’d get attacked, she didn’t take any precautions in the likelihood that it would happen.
Then there’s the Yara/Theon relationship and the two issues I have with that. :))) (Hang in there, nonnie! We’re almost done)
Yara’s sexuality and how that is used to shame Theon for not having a dick
Notice how almost all of the Yara/Theon scenes post-castration take place in brothels or situations where a woman is hitting on Yara? Don’t get me wrong. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the show celebrating and highlighting Yara’s love for women. However, that’s not really what they’re doing. They’re essentially using those moments for cringe comedy and as humiliation for the fact that Theon’s not able to partake because … he doesn’t have a dick! Get it?!? Look how sad he is! Get it?!?
Nor is this the show trying to have a commentary on the issue of Theon’s castration trauma (which would be great but alas) but rather this is a narrative punishment/joke. And I don’t really appreciate that.
And then there’s this:
Yara: Listen to me. If you’re so broken that there’s no coming back, take a knife and cut your wrists. End it. But if you’re staying, Theon, I need you. We’re going to sail to Mereen. We’re going to make a pact with this dragon queen and we’re going to take back the Iron Islands. Are you with me?
If this was a singular case in this series, I would chalk it up to Yara being callous and ignorant about the profound and lasting effects torture and PTSD have on a person. But Brienne gave Jaime a similar “tough talk” when she disapproved of him being depressed over having lost his hand.
Brienne: Coward. One misfortune and you’re giving up? […] You have a taste of the real world, where people have important things taken from them and you whine and cry and quit. You sound like a bloody woman!
The message seems to be that all you need to get over trauma is a tough as nails badass woman screaming at you. Add some good ol’ fashion misogyny on top of it for good measure and you’re good to go.
Had your hand amputated? Stop “whining”! Still unsure how to get passed systematic torture and castration? Either put a band aid on it or kill yourself, we’ve got important shit to do. Can’t possibly waste any time on empathy, understanding and emotional support.
Again, I can’t really blame Yara or Brienne for that matter. This is the writers thinking that anyone who becomes a victim and doesn’t move past it as fast as humanly possible and also “toughens up”, is inherently weak. I hate that mindset and I hate the old “other people have it worse” argument. Yes, I’m sure other people have it worse. That is no reason to dismiss individual pain and how traumatic events in our lives affect us personally.
Now that’s out of the way, let’s look at a few instances where Theon/Yara act like foils to Jonsa. These will be broad because I don’t think these two relationships are set-up in opposition to each other, the way Jaime/Cersei and Jonsa are:
The relationship dynamic and roles
Yara and Theon are very much a relationship that operates under the clear hierarchy of big sister/little brother. This was established the moment Yara was revealed as his sister and continues to this day. In the beginning this was highlighted by Yara making fun of Theon, proving she’s better than him but also giving him heartfelt advice at Winterfell and bonding with him over having a shitty father. It was carried over into Yara protecting or rather trying to protect Theon.
Post-Ramsay, Yara is the leader that drags Theon after her. This inequality is further supported by Theon giving his claim to the Salt Throne in order to continue having a relationship with Yara. So in addition to being big sister/little brother, they’re also queen/right hand of the queen.
These established roles are completely missing from Jon and Sansa’s relationship and, in many ways, this is the true source of their disagreements and tension. What are they? Are they big brother/little sister? Are they true born/bastard? Are they King in the North/right hand to the king? None really fit … Jon doesn’t submit to Sansa’s authority and she doesn’t submit to his. The only way their relationship works is if they behave as equals. Anything less, I think would be unacceptable for either one of them.
Not only that, but rather than enforce an hierarchy, Jon and Sansa spend their time validating each other:
Jon: We’re standing here because of you. I’ve had the Lord’s chamber prepared for you.
Sansa: Mother and father’s room? You should have it.
Jon: I’m not a Stark.
Sansa: You are to me.
Sansa: You’re good at this, you know. Ruling.
Sansa: They respect you. They really do.
Jon: You know Tyrion better than any of us. What do you think?
Sansa: You’re abandoning your people. You’re abandoning your home.
Jon: I’m leaving both in good hands.
Sansa: Whose?
Jon: Yours. Until I return, the North is yours.
Arguments
Yara and Theon have a very typical sibling/relatives relationship. They say the most vile things to each other and then move on as if nothing happened because that’s how family works. (Yara does most of the saying in these quotes but you get my meaning)
Yara: Why! It’s the Prince of Winterfell!
Theon: Envy isn’t attractive.
Yara: You were a terrible baby, you know that? Bawling all the time. Never sleeping. And one night you just wouldn’t shut up. Screaming like a dying pig. I walked over to your crib. I looked down at you. I wanted to strangle you.
Yara: I’m tired of seeing you cower like a dog.
Yara: I need Theon. The real Theon Greyjoy. Not this rat shit pretender.
Jon and Sansa, on the other hand, can’t get away with saying things like this to one another. Their relationship just doesn’t allow for it. And it isn’t because they’re not close or because they aren’t comfortable with each other. But rather that whatever one of them says/does affects the other very deeply.
All through season 6, Sansa was in desperate need of validation from Jon. She takes it personally that he trusts Davos and Tormund and feels he prefers them to her. She gets angry that he didn’t specifically ask for her opinion prior to the battle.
There’s also this:
youtube
Jon: You sound like you admire her. [Cersei]
Sansa: I learned a great deal fromher.
Look at that scene and tell meSansa isn’t hurt that Jon thinks she admires Cersei or isn’t affected by hisdisapproval.
As well as:
Jon: And how should I be smarter?By listening to you?
Tumblr media
And Jon …
Sansa: He plays with people. He’sfar better at it than you. He’s been doing it all his life.
Jon: Aye? And what have I beendoing all my life? Playing with broomsticks?!?
Jon: When you question my decisionsin front of the other lords and ladies, you undermine me.
Sansa: Jofferey never let anyonequestion his decisions. Do you think he was a good king?
Jon: Do you think I’m Jofferey?!?
Notice how nothing they say toone another or do to one another is as bad as Yara calling baby Theona “dying pig”. And yet they can’t handle it. Even something as Sam gentlyattacking Jon saying that he “hates” him after Jon admits to being enviousof Robb would probably not work. I mean can you imagine Jon’s face if Sansa, even jokingly, told him she hated him. She’d be better off sticking a knife inhis neck. It would probably hurt less. :)))
The sexual component
Even though I noted that thescenes of Yara enjoying her sex life is a ham fisted way of reminding theaudience of Theon’s lack of sexual organs, I think it’s important to note thatTheon isn’t affected by the idea of Yara either having sex or beingromantically involved with someone.
That’s the kind of lack ofworry that Jon “If you touch my sister, I’ll kill you myself” Snow andSansa “do you think he wants to marry her?!?” Stark would probablyenvy.
And on that note, one of themost interesting things that denotes the differences between these two is how thetwo relationships start:
Yara and Theon’s relationshipstarts on a shared horse ride to Pyke, where Theon fondles Yara’s breasts andprivate parts all the way there only to be horrified when he realizes she’s hissister. Since then, their relationship has been completely platonic and neitherone of them has ever given any indication that they’d like to revisit thatparticular incident.
Jon and Sansa, on the otherhand, start off as long lost siblings who very quickly end up enacting marriageceremonies (the cloak), having passionate fights in tents, lingering foreheadkisses and … (to be continued in season 8). :))))

Sanders Sides Confessioms
By your local Orange~Chan.
I don't remember who made the original thing, I just,,, found it,,, sorry lmao
Oh wait found them! @im-not-evil-you-are ;3
-Most favourite Side? Deceit.
Why? Idk. I'm just so intrigued by this side. I really want to see more of him, and I'm excited to see an interaction with him and Remus.
-Least favourite Side? Either Roman or Remus.
Don't get me wrong; I actually don't dislike any of the sides! The "twins" are just at the bottom of my list because, I guess, I'm just not too interested in them? Idk.
-Opinion on Logan? I relate to Logan, actually, and I think that's why he's my second favorite. I see myself as being a little more mature than my friends, because I am, and they'll tell you that. But I despise being thought less of. Enough of it, and... I'll snap. I'll regret it, but listen to and respect me, thanks. I'm glad Logan is there to explain how stupid the others can be- even if he, himself, is a little stupid sometimes. Yay for Logic!
-Opinion on Roman? pff. I'm not even sure how to put this into words. He's just- great- I guess? His obvious love for Disney and general singing makes him so fun. We love our prince :3. I want to see more of him interacting with Remus- because, you know, he... Wasn't in most of the last episode...
-Opinion on Patton? Dad jokes. So loving and funny. I think he's who a lot of people like to relate to, because of everything that happened in the Nostalgia video. I'll just say, though,,, Pat has been so... I don't know. He's STILL so obsessed with forcing on Thomas that he's a 'good person.' Nobody is perfect, everybody has these dark thoughts or general sides to themself.
-Opinion on Virgil? He's made a lot of progress since Accepting Anxiety. He's so much more invested and open to the others, and he's really grown. Number three! Here's the big 'but' though, because Virgil is being a stubborn brat/kinda hypocritical recently. He's so dead-set that the Dark Sides are the absolute bad guys. Which, what the heck? Who was the exact same way, Mr. "I was one of them"? Virgil knows firsthand that just because someone is made one way doesn't mean that they are that way. Look, I get it if he's been emotionally scarred by the Darkies in the past, but I kinda think he just never cared to think that just maybe the others' number one goals aren't to destroy Thomas. Oh also i want to see Deceit impersonate him because that honestly just sounds really funny.
-Opinion on Deceit? "...I don't want Thomas to be disadvantaged in a world where you can die, by not following the laws made in the name of a lie." I, myself, lie kinda a lot? No, that's not a good thing, but it helps to get myself out of trouble. Anyway. He has this bigger plan that we don't know about, I think, and it's really interesting. He's so compelling, and I just can't wait to see more of him. And, maybe, just maybe, see him and Virgil come to some sort of agreement,,,,,? A stretch, I know.
-Opinion on Remus? Garbage rat man, get him out of here. I'm kidding. Remus is so openly honest with everything, and that's a little scary to be honest? I don't really struggle with intrusive thoughts, but I have had the occasional 'it would be so easy to shoot up a certain part of the school' and I jUST REALIZED HOW AWFUL THAT SOUNDS OH MY GOD. Eh, no one's judging me. I hope. Remus in general is a very fun character, and I can't wait to see where the team takes him.
-Speculations on Deceit’s name? I don't know. I don't really think about that stuff lol. I just call him Dee/DJ/Damien. Oh, but I do think Remus might know Deceit's name. Probably not. If he does know, though, I bet he's accidentally gonna let it slip :). Think about it; Remus never actually refers to Deceit by name. He says, like once, 'a certain snake.' That's all.
-Favorite romantic ship? I ship it all. I guess Prinxiety, Loceit though,,,
-Favorite platonic ship? Moxiety.
However, I can see it both ways; Virgil romantically with Pat, or dad Pat. Esther's good!
-Least favorite ship? Remus x Roman.
I won't discourage it- you do you- but eh. To me, they'll always only be twins that just don't get along. Pure opposite of Hikarou and Karou. Did I spell those right,,,? Don't care.
-Favorite episode? "Selfishness v. Selflessness"
As an actress(kinda), I personally don't like the end/outcome of this episode... But I still really like it. Lawyer Deceit? Uh, yes please! I love the court room setting.
-Least favorite episode? "Why do We get Out of Bed in the Morning?"
I just couldn't follow this episode, for some reason. It just drug on, and I got bored...
-Favorite quote? Ugh, I have so many! I'll list some.
"Fla- Flames. On the side on my face. Seeth- Seething flames-" A lot of people don't know that this is from an ending of the movie Clue! Ugh I just love this joke. https://youtu.be/92IkddsjtAA
"...my chemically imbalanced romance!"
"...I don't want Thomas to be disadvantaged in a world where you can die, by not following the laws made in the name of a lie."
"Your mom misses you!"
"FALSEHOOD!"
"What the heckity-heck five abs in one pec..." I've referenced this so many times.
"There's never a wrong time to drESS AND DRAG AND DO THE HULA OHHHHHHH!"
"We get it, you're adorable!"
That's all I'll list...... For now.
-Favorite non-canon (incorrect) quote?
"Anything's possible!"
Thomas: "Thanks, Roman!"
Roman: "That wasn't me. That was Virgil."
Virgil: "Seriously... Anything could possibly go wrong right now."
Thomas: "...Thanks, Virgil."
-Favorite headcanon? Oooof I don't knowwww!!!
-What pet do you think each of the sides would have? Patton; a bird, like Ari. Idk what that kind of bird is called. Virgil; a little black and white cat. It hates everyone but him. Logan; a fish or geckos. Small, but he's willing to put in the work for it. Roman; either a big German Shepard, or like, a Corgi. Or both. The dog(s) is(are) named after Disney characters. Deceit; cant think of anything but two ball python sneks? Idk??? Remus; Rats. Hear me out, I have a friend who has pet rats. Not the huge sewer ones, but almost mice like. Just rats.
-Each of the side’s favorite snacks? Pat; Microwaved popcirn. Heavily salted. That's all. Logan; Toast with jam spread on it. Deceit; Oreos, I guess. I'm not sure. I'm just thinking random things, here. Remus; Straight-up cold pepperoni from the bag, what you buy when wanting to make a pizza. No ideas for Virgil or Roman,,,
-What is your theory on the next dark side? Ugh, I don't know. It bothers me that there might be more Dark Sides than Light Sides, that it's not eVeNnNn, so I don't think about it.
-Favorite angst headcanon? Strap in, y'all, we goin for a lil ride.
The Dark Sides were actually pretty upset when Virgil left. They weren't really accepted by the Lights or Thomas, so they just had each other. Virgil, however, strived to be out of the shadows, as the others grew to accept it. They were sad that he left them and thought that being a Dark Side was shameful, and the others were awful people. So now they mess with him and tease him and are just in general rude to him. They called him a brother; but he decided it wasn't enough, not entirely realizing what he was doing. Now he can't go back, even if he wanted to.
I don't feel bad for ending on angst.
