#that's how fudging bad it is but no lets vote for a highway expansion

So there was a by election in my area and the results have just left me so so disappointed.

Over 11 thousand votes for a guy that wants a new highway on/off ramp and lane expansion that might cost the city itself millions and which is frankly completely unnecessary considering there's a ramp to get to the industry park already.

Anywhere from 8 to 9 thousand for the candidate that wanted to help better education; helping teachers with burn out, staffing issues, classroom sizes(we're talking 30 kids to a class sometimes.) To name a few.

And its just how many people are caught up in the teachings of their parents and grandparents that they don't even bother to actually listen to what each candidate wants to do.

How many people voted not realizing that they were putting a highway over their children and their grandchildren's maybe even great grandchildren's education. A highway over making sure a kid can actually learn and get help.

All because they're too caught up in their parents ranting about oh this party is bad so you can't ever vote them only ever vote this one party. And they just don't care enough to look into the platforms.

A highway over children.
