Oh wait a minute, I think you may not know the definition of canon-divergence. Hold up let me get it for you, okay? Canon Divergence:  a fandom term, used when fanfiction is set in a universe that diverges from the original canon due to changing a character's backstory or the plot overall.

Yeah, its that easy to make a story for Ironwood and Robyn Hill and still make it good for both of them for everyone to enjoy. Not like a pasty ol' Karen and a plot-twist villain in the main canon.

But enough of that but just the fact that you say it isnt worth it towards a VERY strong answer. Kind of tells me that its like: "Oh its not good to match canon." I dont know what kind of world you live in amigo, but it aint one I wanna be on. Also another thing to say is.

People on the RWDE tag can still like certain aspects of RWBY and can still be critical about it at the SAME time. It doesnt hurt to do that and trust me it does not hurt me as I can seriously take the wild bullshit the main canon does and can cook it back out as something incredibly Canon-Divergent and people will like it.

Poor Damien got dethroned by a sink. Time to spill Mako’s love life! It’s something that isn’t meant to be a secret but just doesn’t really get brought up in the story, because if I write every detail of the character backstories, the chapters will be infinite. Spoilers ahead for Chapter 11.

a — how does your muse show affection? 

Before he met Eva, he knew nothing of physical (non-sexual) affection, being more of an Acts of Service type. Back then he and Misha weren’t close enough just yet to share the affection they do now. As a result, his love language has developed almost entirely from Eva’s cuddling and her small, mindless touches. He’s slowly learning to return that affection, especially now that they’re in a romantic relationship. It’s subtle, no grand gestures or declarations, just existing peacefully together. 

b — does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

He loves flowers. Since he was a little kid his favourite thing to do was wander around the estate gardens, and later Tokyo, just to gaze at flowers and curl up among their sunlit perfumes. There’s something about the delicate beauty and quiet life and resilience of flowers that captures his fascination. Sakura blossoms are his favourite.  

c — does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?

He can’t... eat... chocolate... 

d — what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?

Mako liked dressing up and going to very expensive restaurants, but he doesn’t think of dates anymore, because Vicky ruined the romantics of it for him. 

e — does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?

Not before Eva. Sometimes his baby niece Chiharu hugs him when he carries her around but that doesn’t really count. It took him completely off guard when Eva just ran up to him at regionals and hugged him. It was at this moment he discovered he likes hugs, and these two have been snuggling ever since. 

f — is your muse good at flirting? how do they flirt?

He’s never flirted with anyone in terms of pick up lines, flattering, etc. He knows he’s sexy as fuck physically very attractive and his reputation is a powerful magnet, so it’s always people coming up to him and flirting. If he’s interested then his body language will show it. 

g  — is your muse good at gift - giving or do they struggle to get it right?

Due to relationship expectations he bought many expensive things for Victoria (mostly diamond jewellery), but the only true gift he’s ever given is to Misha for his 18th birthday, which was a collection of books and so quite thoughtful. His perspective of money is extremely warped compared to normal people, though, so if he ever was to get his partner something, he would need to consult Misha about it.

h  — is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?

He falls in love very easily with anyone who shows him a bit of kindness (the reason why he stayed with Vicky and her unpleasant behaviour). However he is very quiet about it, and worries needlessly about whether his feelings are returned, so with Eva she’s been the one to initiate everything in their relationship so far. 

i  — does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?

Mako used to think it as something precious and special, as the truest expression of love. He would exchange it quite often and easily with Vicky in goodnights and goodbyes. Of course, she used this trust to her advantage for an ulterior motive. He realised that the words were just that—words, able to be uttered without feeling. Now it is tainted, and it’s likely he won’t ever be able to say it again. 

k  — is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?

Yes. Hoe. Also, his first boyfriend (Zephyr, his real name being Laurence Atlas) taught him a great deal about pleasure so credit to him, I guess.

l — who does your muse love? 

m  — how does your muse reconcile after arguments or fights?

He rarely gets into arguments because 1) he tries to avoid conflict by calming situations down and 2) who’s brave enough to challenge him? The answer to that is his partner, but they haven’t gotten into any fights yet as a couple so we shall have to see. 

o  — does your muse have a way with words?

Not really. He’s charismatic in his elegant, gentleman way, but his way of assembling words is logical. His crush on Eva rendered him shy and flustered in front of her so his ability to be a smooth talker is nonexistent. Luckily for him, Eva is also blunt so they just talk to each other in a straight-forward manner, or without words at all. 

p  — what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?

Traditionally, his criteria for whoever he hooks up with is just beauty. Thanks to his work, he’s always surrounded by beautiful people, *cough* Damien. Partner wise... he wasn’t looking. Eva just burst into his life and he found that he loves her everything. 

q  — would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

In his situation, technically it would be his parents who are going to be asking :/ 

r —  is your muse a romantic or a cynic?

Hopeless romantic. Because of the way he grew up, the classic depiction of romance is wonderfully appealing to him. What little he’s seen of romance in media makes his heart yearn. His traditional perception of love somewhat contradicts his sexuality, and of course now, he’s also a cynic. 

s  — did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

No, the only kids he talked to during his childhood were his cousins. 

t — does your muse believe in true love?

Yes. Just not for him. 

u  — has your muse had their heart broken?

Yes, and it ceaselessly bothers Misha. 

w — would your muse get married? why / why not?

His opinion on marriage is neutral. He really likes the idea of a beautiful wedding (*cough* multi-million dollar wedding) and wishes for it have been brewing in the back of his mind for years. The concept of marrying for true love is just something that has never seemed real for him, so at the same time, he’s worried about the many years after the wedding, if his wife will even like his company. 

x — does your muse use / like pet names?

No, he’s really not verbally affectionate anymore. Eva will fight him if he tries to call her one anyway. 

y — does your muse get protective easily?

He is very protective of the two people he loves. He knows Eva can defend herself perfectly well, so in a way he’s more protective of Misha, who is more vulnerable. He’s not physically defensive because while he’s strong, he’s non-violent and can’t fight for shit, but there’s power in his position in society that has potential to cause far more damage than physical scars. At the moment he relies on people’s fear of this (see: Logan) rather than actually wielding it.

Given that I only learned about the existence of fandom as a concept in late 2016, the longest I’ve ever been in a fandom is roughly 4,5 years.

G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?

Many! Currently it’s Hiccstrid and Hicretstrid. And maybe a little Zelink. But thinking back, I think my very first OTP was when I was around five years old. From the Captain Tsubasa anime series, Tsubasa and... I don’t even know her name... 🤣 There was this girl who always cheered him on and was his no.1 fan. ANd in hindsight, I think I also shipped Tsubasa... with nearly all other players, mainly, Taro Misaki, Jun Misugi, and Kojiro Hyuga. 🤣

H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., TV shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)?

TV-shows, mostly. I prefer the visuals over books and I prefer the slower development over those in movies.

I - Has Tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

Not caused me to stop liking them. But in some cases (ATLA and TDP, to name two) it raised my expectations so high that, when I finally got to dip into them, I was rather underwhelmed. It also didn’t help that I already knew the ending and some major plot points. If there’s one sure way to dampen my excitement it’s spoilers.

J - Name a fandom you didn’t think about until you saw it all over Tumblr. (You don’t have to care about it or follow it; it just has to be something that Tumblr made you aware of.)

Supernatural. Pretty much all other fandoms I dip into occasionally, I knew at least a little before. But literally everything I know about Supernatural is from seeing posts here. 🤣

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

I can’t think of an individual character right now, but in general an arc I like is someone (re-)learning to trust.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)

Snotlout has a great relationship with his dragon. Valka, too. Gobber and the twins are always fun, in their own ways.

M - Name a character that you’d like to have for a friend.

Hmm... First, I wanted to say Astrid. And I'd enjoy having her as a friend, as someone to challenges me to be more active, to work on my skills and someone to talk.

But I think, I'd enjoy being friends with Hiccup, too. I'd like to brainstorm ideas, ponder over inventions and exchange ideas. Geek out about dragons!

N - Name three things you wish you saw more or in your main fandom (or a fandom of choice).

Acceptance, respect, and some common sense. But that’s not just fandom...

O - Choose a song at random. Which ship or character does it remind you of?

My very long list of favoured songs randomly gave me 9 Crimes by Damien Rice. There once was an absolutly stunning AMV with this song about the TV-show The Legend Of The Seeker, The Sword Of Truth (based on the books by Terry Goodkind). I was deeply in love with Richard’s and Kahlan’s relationship, and with Cara on a general level. That AMV featured them all, and I loved it!

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

Oh, oh, oh, oh! I just thought about this modern meet-cute AU for Hiccstrid a few days back, might as well write it down here. (And will also copy it over into an individual post, I think...)

Hiccup is a single father of a three-years-old daughter. One day, he meets Astrid in a supermarket; she’s in front of him at the check-out and when he hears her voice, he’s stunned. Because he knows her voice, hears it every day. Because she lend her voice to one of these talking toys for toddlers.His daughter’s favourite toy.

Hiccup always liked that toy best, too, because it didn’t sound as annoying as most others. Pleasant even. When he sees and hears Astrid, he recognises her voice in an instant. He jokingly thanks her for making his days more bearable. She’s confused, who is this weirdo? So he tries to explain. “The toy. My daughter’s toy. It’s your voice. A pleasant voice. I listen to it every day.” He keeps getting weirder, stammers, turns red like a tomato, until he eventually just flees, wishing a hole would open up to swallow him, that was so embarrassing.

Meanwhile, Astrid is touched. Knowing that there is at least one little girl who likes the toy she helped create. And her father, apparently. Who had been cute. In how shy he’d been. And how excited. She’s sorry he left before she was able to talk to him and thank him.

Over the next days, Hiccup would think of her a lot. Every time he hears her voice again, he’d think of her. Her face. Her smile. Until they, eventually, meet again... ^^

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.

None, really. There are several fandoms I grew out of, like Sailor Moon or Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne. But I wouldn't say I abandoned them. I still enjoy seeing content about them.

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

Those of the rider with their dragons. Hiccup&Toothless. Astrid&Stormfly.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

Pretty much all of my headcanons are about Hiccstrid in one way or combination. One of my personal favourites is that Astrid has a tiny birthmark on the back of her neck. She doesn’t even know it’s there, she can’t see it and it’s almost always covered by her hair anyway. But Hiccup knows it’s there. And he loves to place a kiss on it. It tickles and would always make her giggle. And she smells so nice.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending?

*snorts* No. If there are people who don’t share my headcanons, then... they don’t have to? I can live and be friends with people regardless of whether we share the same headcanons or not. And if people keep attacking me for mine, I’ll just block them and walk away. Arguing about something like that is not worth my time.

Same answer as the above, mostly. I think I already wrote a long answer to a similar question once. 🤔 I relate to Astrid in many ways. Loyal and reliable, not always easy to approach, often prefers to deal with her problems on her own instead of asking for help.

W - A trope which you are virtually certain to hate in any fandom.

Anything jealously, especially it being portrayed as a sign of love or dedication. But also love triangles. Unnecessary.

Another thing I don’t like is when there’s a misunderstanding and they argue about it and get angry and yell and have a huge falling-out... when it all just boils down to them not listening.

- sometimes too optimists, blunt, and emotional

atlas has been through a lot of hurt. however, unlike most people he hasn’t let it change him. people take his kindness as a weakness but he see’s it as a strength... that he won’t let anyone change him no matter how cruel they can be. he wants to believe that people aren’t all bad, sometimes he tries a little too hard to believe that. but he isn’t naive either when it came to what he expected from other people. the man isn’t oblivious, he just likes to try to have hope. to not expect the worst from people until they give him no other choice to. sometimes, he also can’t help himself and is a little blunt. he never does it to be rude or hurt anyone’s feelings... it’s just he is protective and will call someone out on something in order to protect them. also the little pretentious writer in him sometimes makes him unable to stop himself from just saying certain things as they are. 

H E A D C A N O N S

001. atlas henrik laveau never knew his father, not that he ever cared about that. the boy was a huge mama’s boy. his mother was the strongest person he knew. growing up with only his mother, and his two step sisters. . . atlas grew up seeing the strength in women and couldn’t be prouder of his family.  002. however, being the only boy, atlas did always want a little brother. and he found that in a young boy whose family lived near his. it started with him just being asked to watch the young boy (eric) but eventually turned into him adoring the kid like his little brother. his family and friends all know how atlas saw the young boy and welcomed him themselves as well. 003. atlas prided himself on learning as much as he could on anything and everything. about his world under the sea and the world above. human, vampires, werewolves, witches, etc. he wanted to be ready for when he moved to the land above, it was always part of his plan. plus, he wanted to help his hybrid best friend as much as he could. 004. when he was younger, atlas’ favourite thing had always been writing and telling stories. he was always a creative person and enjoyed sharing all of his ideas. due to this, atlas was known for always thinking outside the box. 005. he ended up going through a hard time when eric was killed. it had been a day that he was asked to go watch the young boy, but he couldn’t do it. so eric’s parents moved their day around and stayed with him. atlas had finished his day early was was going to go surprise the boy and maybe offer to help out so the parents could do whatever else they could. however, when he arrived, he found the entire family had been murdered. atlas took it really hard and blamed himself. he even stopped talking for a couple of months. he spoke to NO ONE and the only person who could get some type of reaction out of him had been his best friend. 006. at the right age, atlas wasted no time in getting his ring so he could travel above land. he didn’t make the move just yet, cause he wasn’t fully ready to leave his family. but mars and him traded off on who was visiting who. he loved the land and wishes his family felt the same, but they loved the ocean too much. so he stayed for awhile longer before eventually making the move all together. though he does visit his family still. family is everything to the man. 007. he’s currently working at the gym as a swim  instructor, but he only does that while working on his book. everything is looking well for him, he already has publishers who want to work with him. he just needs to make a choice and small changes to his book that he feels he didn’t write correctly. he’s very excited about what’s to come.

C O N N E C T I O N S

BEST FRIEND. these two grew up together and have always been close. they’ve always seen each other as family and don’t keep secrets from one another. atlas knows he can tell mars anything and never be judged, just like she can do with him.   [ TAKEN ; marcelline ]

CLOSE FRIENDS. these would be the people he goes to that isn’t mars. probably someone who is a little more like him. at least in the sense where they are more kind and forgiving compared to most of the people in town. they could meet when atlas got to town and kind of just hit it off. or just sometime since he’s been around and just grew close kinda quickly. i just want him to have a couple of people he’s really close with.   [ 1/2 (could be down for three) ; tabitha ]

CO-WORKER. ever hear of a work wife/husband? that’s what this person is to atlas. they are very close and are always there to help each other. their other co-workers tease them about acting like a married couple at work, but it really is just a platonic friendship.   [ OPEN ; xx ]

EX GIRLFRIEND. i would really love one of those obvious jealous exes who broke up with their boyfriend due to him being so close to their best (girl) friend. so this person, whom atlas loved so much, really didn’t like how close atlas was to mars and grew tired of people making assumptions about him and mars. it eventually got to the point of them telling atlas to pick between them and his best friend. they didn’t realise how much atlas actually LOVED them. now, however, atlas can’t see them the same and they act very bitter toward each other.   [ OPEN ; xx ]

CRUSH. someone atlas has a bit of a crush on. they don’t need to return the feelings. this is just someone he really admires but never acts on his feelings because he doesn’t want to ruin their friend ship. *bonus points though if they do return his feelings and they are thinking the same way he is. that they are worried about ruining the friendship too.   [ OPEN ; xx ]

EX BOYFRIEND. they were friends first and things kind of just happened. it was one of those relationships that just made sense. however, after a few months, this person decided they just wanted to be friends. while it hurt atlas, he understood and agreed. yet since then, the two are just awkward around each other. atlas still has a soft spot for this person and wishes they could actually be friends again.   [ OPEN ; xx ] 

DISLIKE. atlas tried to get along with everyone, he really does. but this person just DOESN’T like him and atlas isn’t too upset about it. they rub him the wrong way anyways. or maybe it’s vice versa. . . atlas can’t stand them? they rub him the wrong way and he just CAN’T see past it.   [ OPEN ; xx ]

well for zuko, iroh gave his nephew a sword with an inscription on it. but that’s not what i’m here to talk about (even tho i love iroh and zukos relationship, i can rant about that later)

what i want to focus on is the gift he gave to azula. (now i didn’t rewatch this scene in order to properly write this so i’m going off just my memory). azula is given a doll meant to be like a traditional fire nation girl or something. (maybe a girl from ba sing se??)

now when azula is handed the doll she doesn’t bother hiding her disgust at it, and i’m pretty sure she even tries to burn it.

at first my initial thought was that iroh assumes azula would like a doll because she’s a little girl, and that is kind of true but there’s more too it.

iroh got azula that doll because he didn’t know what to get her. and that’s important (or i’m just reading too much into it) because it shows that even at a young age, azula and iroh never had a good relationship. he didn’t know what to get his niece because he didn’t know what she liked. he just assumed and made a guess.

iroh got zuko a small sword (dagger??) with a meaningful inscription and zuko loved it. iroh got azula a d o l l.

throughout the show azula never wavered in her obvious dislike for her uncle, and it’s not just because iroh failed at ba sing se or because her father didn’t like his older brother—azula didn’t like iroh because he chose zuko. just like her mother.

in flashbacks azula is shown to always be cruel, but that couldn’t have been always. there had to be a point where azula was just a little girl. she was just taught from the day she was born that her father is great and azula needs to be just like that.

but we know who iroh is. he is a very forgiving man. he knew zuko had a good heart and fought for his nephew. iroh may have been able to see the darkness lurking in azula but i refuse to believe he didn’t at least try with her. when azula was born, iroh was still going to be firelord. it wasn’t until azula was maybe 8? 9? 10? when irohs son died and that meant ozai would become firelord. so it’s not like azula was pushed away from her uncle. it’s most likely that she pushed him away and he stopped fighting.

i love zuko and irohs relationship, but i think the one iroh and azula has is underrated. there’s so many moments that show that azula was jealous of zuko because of zukos connection to their mother and uncle.

i don’t even think iroh ever calls azula his niece?? by the time the show starts up iroh and azulas relationship is just azula not liking him and iroh just not giving her the time of day, and in the flashbacks it’s not centered around azulas relationship with her uncle. there’s a lot of connecting the dots from the scenes we are given.

i think that just like azulas relationship with her mother, her relationship to her uncle is also just as efficient in destroying her chances of redemption.

like zuko said, ozai casting aside and banishing zuko was the best thing his father ever did to him. if he didn’t, zuko would be in azulas place.

OH one more thing i find interesting: there’s a whole episode dedicated to zuko learning about his two (great?) grandfathers. his mom being related to avatar roku and his father being related to sozin. it’s stressed so much that it’s those two parts of him that cause the internal battle between good and evil.

but azula is his sister. she is also related to avatar roku and sozin. but she never had that battle. maybe she did, when she was young, but she probably felt like she had no choice but to be as cruel as her father. to be as skilled. to be a powerful leader of the entire world. and she had no one to help her decide good.

(this probably made no sense because i’m rambling and this all just shot out from my brain in sorry but i love azula and she deserves the entire world but i know she won’t ever get redemption because she will never think that she needs it)

james rhodes / war machine : jake’s other boss and friend. jake straight up ditched his job at the time & committed high treason to help rhodey  ━ he’s a mess, but he’s constant in always deciding to do what’s right according to his gut. jake served (still serving) as a supporting war machine unit.  the second of two people jake would die for and follow to the ends of the earth without question. complete trust.

jason strongbow / american eagle : punched jake in the face real fucking hard once when he was a rhodey decoy! that hurt like a massive bitch. jason’s pretty cool though, and jake’s gotten along with him in the time sincebecause manners never hurt. usually visits jason too when he goes back to visit rhodey’s mom; they’re not exactly friends, maybe, but they hang out.

amadeus cho / brawn : jake gets on his nerves and he knows it. still, he helps him out where he can and generally tries to keep an eye on amadeus’ well-being and whereabouts. they’re tentatively friends, sort of; jake looks out for him when he has the chance. he thinks amadeus is a good kid and struggles a lot more than he lets on.

carol danvers / captain marvel : jake’s temporary handler. worked directly under carol to track and monitor amadeus cho after amadeus became the new hulk. generally a positive working relationship ━ he did his job well and when t’challa got involved, carol insisted he take jake too.

t’challa / black panther : jake worked as his s.h.i.e.l.d. liaison also concerning amadeus cho, as he was the serving agent with experience re: amadeus. jake kind of mouthed off to him. he doesn’t regret it.

kamala khan / ms marvel : mostly known professionally through the protectors. thinks kamala is a good kid with a super strong sense of justice; not a ton of contact overall.

cindy moon / silk : mostly known professionally through the protectors. cindy is fun and sends jake all of what's new with kpop because the abk squad is best squad and also has to stick together. sometimes he sends her random little cute souvenirs if he thinks they hit her aesthetic.

shang-chi / the master of kung fu : mostly known professionally through the protectors / agents of atlas. he has massive respect for shang-chi and they hung out a couple of times but there's not really consistent contact.

ares : honestly, jake doesn't like ares much. he's kind of a mega bastard, but jake also has yet meet a god that isn't. super didn't enjoy how ares glanced at him that one time.

celeste cuckoo : found jake pretty attractive, which was kind of super awkward, actually. he had very little time to interact with the stepford cuckoos and mostly tried his best to assist them during the events of phoenix : warsong. mostly an incredibly awkward encounter where everyone and their mom ragged on celeste for thinking jake was cute.

the x-men : specifically, wolverine, colossus, emma frost, cyclops, & kitty pryde. jake assisted them in the events of phoenix : warsong and honestly it mostly sucked. the aftermath of those events was what caused him to quit s.h.i.e.l.d. in the first place. he did get fastball specialed, which was kind of the only cool part of the complete nonstop disaster.

jake supposedly has an upcoming minor appearance , so things may change or be added ; i almost definitely forgot someone as usual too so .

after episode 8, I was actually gonna wonder how the whole situation was gonna end because you have not ONE but TWO parties keeping secrets which is understandable

Ironwood trying to protect his people, albeit, very forcefully and then there’s Ruby and her friends keeping secrets because they don’t know who to trust EVEN from Ironwood knowing how he was

but this episode was very tame with both truths coming which is rare in shows ;w;

I was LITERALLY expecting the truth would come out, the city falls into chaos, and then it becomes an all-out civil war with the people of Mantle against Atlas... still sort of that way but for a different reason and NOT from Ironwood’s hasty actions

I mean, two secrets was like two bombs ready to explode at any moment

as for certain things like Jacque Schnee trying to “defend” himself of the caught footage being shown was literally LAUGHABLE. also, I want to quickly talk about the topic of the show and its fandom/writing/yadda/yadda/yadda in general: to me, I just enjoy a great fantasy show. there’s going to be people that’ll complain about this and that. complain the writing is all over the place. complain about about certain romances being forced on certain characters (yes. I acknowledge the whole “Blake developed a great relationship with Sun but is OBVIOUSLY going for Yang” debacle. yes. I know this). complain about the fandom itself being just... toxic at times

guess what? that’s every fandom. that’s every show facing these same exact things. probably not as big or known but it exists. even I have some complaints. I complained about Cinder coming back in volume 6 but it happened because there’s a rule in shows: IF YOU DON’T SEE THE CHARACTER DIE, THEY’LL COME BACK LATER ON. and sure enough, when I saw the promo artwork for volume 6, I saw Cinder’s silhouette and my reaction was “UUUGH WHY CAN’T SHE JUST DIE!”

everyone has opinions on things but those opinions shouldn’t stop you from liking a show that you love. don’t feel bad watching something you love. that’s my rule of thumb. it’s the same with music. a large amount of people love hip-hop or country. I DISLIKE country music and I don’t like hip-hop unless there’s a song that I can connect with right away. but because I dislike them, does that mean I want everyone else to feel ashamed for liking them? NO! everyone loves what they loves

I love RWBY from the very first episode and I loved how much it has grown over 7 seasons! some people may not like it for reasons but that won’t stop me and it shouldn’t stop a good amount of you either

The Short Introduction of The Neurome Project

Project leader: Dr. Larry W. Swanson

Toward a Pan-Mammalian Neurome

The neurome project aim can be divided two parts:

'proximal' goal

Complete construction and network analysis of macroconnection subconnectomes for the mammalian forebrain.

'distal' goal

Achieve this for all major brain parts, and eventually the entire nervous system, leading to integration with other brain data (such as gene-expression) at multiple levels of spatial resolution.

Chapter 1 Connection

In the connection section, the project main collects three part of connection, they are Cerebral cortex, Cerebral nuclei, Hypothalamus. Here mammalian animal model is Rat.

Cerebral cortex: provides a searchable list of region-to-region (macroscale) collated published connection reports (macroconnections) for the cerebral cortex of the rat. Currently, these data include reports of macroconnections within the cerebral cortex, and between the cerebral cortex and cerebral nuclei (basal ganglia).

Cerebral nuclei: provides a searchable list of region-to-region (macroscale) collated published connection reports (macroconnections) for the cerebral nuclei (basal ganglia) of the rat. Currently, these data include reports of macroconnections within the cerebral nuclei, and between the cerebral nuclei and cerebral cortex.

Hypothalamus: provides a searchable list of region-to-region (macroscale) collated published connection reports (macroconnections) for the hypothalamus of the rat. Currently, these data include reports of macroconnections within the hypothalamus (intrahypothalamic macroconnections).

Region nomenclature follows an open access atlas for the rat brain (Brain Maps 4.0. Swanson, L. W. 2018). Part of figures see Appendix.

Chapter 2 Rat neurome project

Connectome

The term “connectome” was introduced by Olaf Sporns, Giulio Tononi, and Rolf Kötter in a 2005 paper, The human connectome: a structural description of the human brain, where they stated that “The connection matrix of the human brain (the human ‘connectome’) represents an indispensable foundation for basic and applied neurobiological research.”

A complete connectome would include not just the brain, but the nervous system as a whole, along with the other systems of the body (muscular, endocrine, digestive, and so on) related to the nervous system (that is, providing inputs and receiving outputs)–a connection matrix that has been called a neurome (Bota et al., 2015, PNAS). Here is the general form of such a complete connectome, which, of course, is bilateral, representing the right and left halves of the body:

MAPPING CONNECTIONS ON STANDARD TEMPLATES

Since 1992, virtually all of the experimental pathway tracing analyses carried out by the Swanson group in rat have been mapped onto standard atlas and flatmap templates from the 3 editions of Brain maps: structure of the rat brain (Swanson, 1992, 1998, 2004). This approach greatly simplifies qualitative comparisons of connection patterns for different parts of the nervous system. The first example was for the connections of the posterior nucleus of the amygdala, and adjacent parts of the cortical nucleus of the amygdala (Canteras et al., 1992).

1. Brain maps 4.0—Structure of the rat brain: An open access atlas with global nervous system nomenclature ontology and flatmaps

Abstract The fourth edition (following editions in 1992, 1998, 2004) of Brain maps: structure of the rat brain is presented here as an open access internet resource for the neuroscience community. One new feature is a set of 10 hierarchical nomenclature tables that define and describe all parts of the rat nervous system within the framework of a strictly topographic system devised previously for the human nervous system. These tables constitute a global ontology for knowledge management systems dealing with neural circuitry. A second new feature is an aligned atlas of bilateral flatmaps illustrating rat nervous system development from the neural plate stage to the adult stage, where most gray matter regions, white matter tracts, ganglia, and nerves listed in the nomenclature tables are illustrated schematically. These flatmaps are convenient for future development of online applications analogous to “Google Maps” for systems neuroscience. The third new feature is a completely revised Atlas of the rat brain in spatially aligned transverse sections that can serve as a framework for 3‐D modeling. Atlas parcellation is little changed from the preceding edition, but the nomenclature for rat is now aligned with an emerging panmammalian neuroanatomical nomenclature. All figures are presented in Adobe Illustrator vector graphics format that can be manipulated, modified, and resized as desired, and freely used with a Creative Commons license.

This article talks about non-consensual porn videos on Pornhub. Two cases are girls who were still minors and the third one, was married but unconscious during the act.

The news report talks about the aftermath that these videos have caused these women even years later. Before Pornhub was faced with major lawsuits and published articles, Pornhub still had over 9 million videos with 80 percent of the content that was unverified (list) by the company.

The Peach (depends on the video) top three keywords: molest, torture, unwilling. Red list banned (red flags) top three keywords: child, rape, unconscious. Up until recently, Pornhub still had the download option but due to recent events they had it removed and now when an individual wants to upload a video they have to be verified first.

One of the cases; Eva (fake name to keep her identity safe) was 14 years old when she was recorded on an online video chat with a 21-year-old man. After ten years this video is still affecting her, she was getting threats and inappropriate messages like “People described in full detail of how they wanted to sexually torture me”.

People looked her up on google and sent her pictures of her house, they also found out where she went to school.” Eva said “It’s like walking around in your life with a gun held to your back”.

Jane Doe was sexually abused when she was twelve years old by a relative. Her abuse was videotaped and in 2019 when she became an adult, she discovered that there were inappropriate pictures of her online. “It’s a nightmare that does not go away” (Miller, 2021)

Rachel (age unknown) was a married woman, who had found a hard-drive that belonged to her ex-husband which contained nude photographs of herself. Some of the pictures were given consent but only for him to see. The folder also contained various other naked bodies, these pictures had been put in folders and were edited.

She later did a reverse image search and found these images online, and on two different porn sites. She also found a video of herself, where she is unconscious and was being sexually assaulted by her husband. This video included titles such as “while sleeping” and “sleeping pills”. Rachel says “It’s devastating. I mean, this is something that is going to haunt me for the rest of my life,” she says. “I will always be someone's porn.”

Pornhub since has reviewed and removed more than a half a million videos in 2020. These videos were removed for not following guidelines. 544,021 videos on Pornhub were removed because it contained “criminalizes production and dissemination of technology, devices, or services intended to circumvent measures that control access to copyrighted works.” (Pornhub, 2020)

Sexual Assault

In distinction to the specified criminal act of rape, the term sexual assault can refer to a variety of sexually motivated criminal acts, such as inappropriate touching and kissing, to rubbing groping or forcing the victim to touch the perpetrator in inappropriate sexual ways. However, “sexual assault overlaps with rape because the term includes rape” (The Conversation, 2018).

Survey Results

o Most of the women, were first dealt with assault as minors. -72.7% under 18 -20.5% 18 to 25 -6.8% 26 to 35

o There are a variety of ages including; -53.7% from the ages 18-25 -22.2% from the ages 26-35 -13% from the ages 36-45 -9.3% from the ages 45+ -1.9% from the ages under 18

o Most women were sexually assaulted four or more times.

o We asked if the women spoke up and more than half replied with no.

Social Workers

Social Workers assist people in dealing with day-to-day issues. They support clients who are dealing with problems brought on by neglect, abuse, domestic violence, mental wellbeing, and parental substance abuse.

Their responsibilities are;

o Helping clients receive help by telephone and also in meetings.

o Involving clients in beneficial activities.

o Evaluating clients and gathering important information.

o Providing information and assistance to clients and their families.

o Communicating and making referrals to other agencies and services.

o Maintaining correct data and preparing reports.

o Taking part in training, supervision and meetings.

Hayley Vella is a 26-year-old female who has worked with Appoġġ, a social servicing organization in Malta. She was an employee for the company for four and a half years. Her responsibilities were to support and guide vulnerable clients in their everyday lives. Keeping in mind their emotional and social aspects when giving them the support and the help they need. Hayley is currently employed by MCAST as a student mentor.

Fandom Related Question I’m Going to Answer Although Nobody Asked Me Just Because I Want To

A: Your current OTP.

My all time OTP is by a landslide Zutara, but lately I’ve been on a Miraculous Ladybug kick and I’ve been especially passionate about the lovesquare (have you seen that dance seen? eek!). I know a lot of people prefer specific pairing within the square, but they’re all the same people so I don’t really care. I like all the interactions. 

B: A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.

Well the first one that comes to mind is Talisto (Talia and Mephisto) from LoliRock. It’s by far the most popular ship in the fandom and I certainly understand the appeal, but it wasn’t something that stood out to me. Personally my biggest ship in that fandom was Irisana (Iris and Auriana)

C: A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can't.

I can think of a few sitcoms where the main pairing was something I never really liked, such as Ross and Rachel on Friends or JD and Elliot on Scrubs. 

D: What was the first thing you ever contributed to a fandom?

I wrote a Zutara fic and posted it on my Deviant Art long before I really knew what fandoms and shipping even were. Man was I naive. 

E: Have you added anything stupid/cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?

Have I added anything stupid to my fandom? Some of the stuff I’ve written is pretty stupid. And I sometimes make some really ridiculous headcannons. But nothing specific comes to mind. 

F: What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom? What fandom was it?

Probably the ATLA fandom. I didn’t get into HP until later on otherwise it’d probably be that. ATLA was sort of the first thing I became kinda obsessed about. I was livid about Zutara and Suki and Sokka are also so important to me. I was actually just reminded of how amazing Suki is on a post and it made me want to rewatch the series. 

G: What was your first fandom?

Again, ATLA. My first fandom, which I am still a part of. 

H: Do you prefer real-life TV shows or animated TV shows?

Normally real-life. Then I don’t feel like I have to hide it or make excuses for watching it. Because when I watch animated shows my brothers are always making fun of me for being a giant kid which doesn’t actually stop me from watching it, but I still prefer the option without the ridicule. 

I: Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why?

I don’t think that’s ever happened to me. If I stop liking a fandom it’s normally because of me getting bored with it or upset about the writing. 

J: Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr.

Supernatural. All the way. I don’t even really watch it. I’ve seen the first few seasons and a few random episodes but I haven’t watched the whole thing. Yet I have Destiel stuff on my dash all the time and I’m always reading Destiel fanfic that pops up. 

K: How do you feel about the other people in your current fandom(s).

Well with my latest obsession, Miraculous Ladybug, I feel like there’s a lot of homophobia and a lot of unnecessary idealization of Chloe. I mean, Chloe is going to get a Miraculous and right now I hate that. I don’t think she deserves it and she would need to be written a Zuko-level redemption arc for me to be happy about it, but only a small number of people seem to care. It’s like they’re just excusing her behavior. I hate that.  

L: Your favorite fanartist/author gives you one request, what do you ask for?

If I could have only one request I’d probably ask for something Zutara. Probably something to fix that horrible ending. Although, who knows, I might ask for something in my current obsession. I’d love to see some Broppy or Lovesquare work. 

M: A person who got you into a fandom and what fandom they pulled you in to.

Actually, I didn’t get in to Miraculous Ladybug until after I got into LoliRock and one of the blogs I followed posted about how much of a great show it was. I respected and admired them enough for the LoliRock stuff that they posted, that I decided to check out Miraculous Ladybug. Now I’m obsessed. 

N: Your favorite fandom (for the people; not the thing you fangirl over).

For the people? Probably HP fandom. It’s like the mothership of fandoms. Everybody knows HP and talks about HP. There are a few bad bugs but mostly everybody is just so awesome. They all just realize how special HP is to our generation. 

O: Choose a song at random, what ship does it remind you of?

The only song I can think of under such pressure is Chore by Mark Forster and that’s because I just saw an amazing fan made animation for Broppy that had that song and it literally made me cry. It was beautiful. 

P: Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas).

Au for Miraculous Ladybug: Uhm Girl Genius Au. Instead of having Miraculous, Marinette and Adrien have sparks and have to face off against another spark, the evil father of Adren who is most definitely not like Gil’s father.

Uhm let’s see. I shipped Eretria and Amberle in the first season of Shannara Chronicles. But seeing as how Amberle is now a tree I guess when I finally see season two that ship will be out the window. 

R: A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships.

Uhm, I’m pretty passionate about Luna and Ginny in the HP fandom but I don’t really ever see anybody else ever shipping them. Which sucks. 

S: What's a headcanon you have?

Well I have a lot of headcanons but since I’m assuming this question is about my current fandom, which is Miraculous Ladybug, I’d say that I headcanon Rose and Juleka as precious lesbians.

I have plenty of gay/les ships but some of my favorites: Wolfstar, Supercorp, Destiel, Johnlock.

I am not opposed to the 3-way ship of the three main girls in LoliRock but otherwise I can’t really think of any others.

Harry Potter fandom: Luna is definitely my favorite character. I adore her. 

ATLA fandom: Suki by far. I sometimes go through the series and just watch the episodes with her in it. 

Miraculous Ladybug fandom: Alya. That scene where she flawlessly dances Adrien and Marinette closer to together and then goes back to her boyfriend who has an adorable little smirk. I just can’t handle it.  

Trolls fandom: Aside from Branch who is sarcasm king, my favorite background character is Guy Diamond. He would make for an amazing best friend.  

Brooklyn 99 fandom: Holt is my favorite character. When he pretends to be straight or when he acts especially gay are the best parts.

Lord of the Rings. I support some of the ships (Frodo and Sam, Barduil, Gimli and Legolas) but mostly when I read/watch LOTR I don’t really ship anybody. 

Z: What's a ship that you want to ship publicly, but everyone on tumblr hates it so you keep your mouth shut about it?

I don’t think I have any of those. Even when I ship unpopular pairings, I don’t really keep it to myself.
