tbh the fact that i ended up shipping carageta is really funny because i didn't even want to go see the movie. And now I'm halfway through typing up a second fic and it's been. a week. what happened.

How do y’all deal with a neighbor that hates your dog? I’ve lived in a double for a few years and one of the newest people that moved in hates Honey with a passion. Honey barked once in the backyard this morning around six when someone she’s never met went into a neighboring backyard to smoke a cigarette. I brought her in as soon as she started barking but this new neighbor texted me vitriol about how she can never sleep because Honey barks occasionally and that I shouldn’t use our shared backyard (the reason I moved to this place). I’ve never had a single neighbor complain about her before and the most she barks is like three separate barks throughout the night but l can almost always get her back in and quiet before she barks twice in a row. Leia can’t sleep through the night without going out but this neighbor expects them not to go out at all between 10pm and 10am.
#I’m at such a loss#advice#like I’ve been sitting outside with them when I take them out at night so she has less opportunities to bark but she’s a guard dog breed#it’s in her nature to bark#like I have no idea how to cater any more to this neighbor#she’s like why can’t you walk them instead of letting them in the yard#which 1. I’m in a house with a backyard for this reason and#2. honey has arthritis and her PT only wants her to go for one 5 minute walk a day right now and we have no front yard#3. is that walks give them the zoomies so they’ll wake her up that way#I feel like I’ve done a lot to try to keep them quiet at night but I have no idea how to deal with this chick#again everyone else who’s lived in that side of the double including her roommates have no problems with the dogs

small update
ok so um I got my number theory paper today, and the TA had cut marks for me because i left the answer at 66^2 and not 4356 (fermat's little theorem) 😔 I even wrote the full proof
my friend told me I should mail the TA about this, I got 14/20 and should be getting 17or18/20 😔
scores aside, number theory is so much fun, so much fun. the only good thing here is that I know the concepts well, and I fully knew the paper (still fucked it up, because I'm so frickin slow while writing and time). and it hurts worse because there's not enough proof that validates my knowledge. which in turn makes me question if i actually do have any.
I am, in general, a person who does well in concepts but screws up the exams (70% of the time) and I'm trying, I'm trying to get myself out of this "exam paniK" that I often spiral into, just minutes before the exam. I hope I change and grow; I hope, I hope.

The past month or so has been a HILARIOUS trainwreck - My new job essentially went bankrupt after my FIRST day, I accidentally grew Datura on my balcony, I have an elusive MRI appointment that keeps getting pushed around, tried to get the limited Hozier vinyl but they only got a payment method I don't have, my friend nearly got snuck up on by a TORNADO cause we were busy playing Fortnite, and I STILL need to fix some of my ReShade presets -
#1) yes my job is done and i worked ONE shift. hoping to at least still get paid KFGDHSKSFGH#2) got a pot of soil on my balcony that i was planning to grow some lavender in but it started to get a random seedling and i was curious#turns out its a Datura plant. sometimes it’s late at night and you’re cleaning your room and you come across a few old black and white photos of a young girl and you stare at them for a long minute wondering how on earth they got lost in an old Kroger shopping bag with an unopened pack of cigarettes and a receipt dated 2017.
and you look at the girl in the pictures sat on the floor of someone’s home you don’t recognize, smiling and playing with a set of keys and a tiny part of you feels like it recognizes her but you aren’t sure.
and you flip the pictures over hoping to find some sort of annotation that would give you context and all you find is the year 1964 stamped in tiny font along the edge.
and you flip them back over and time stands still as you realize that the recognition you feel is because she looks so much like you once did and next thing you know your hands are sweating and shaking and you have to sit on the floor because you’re crying so hard because it hits you all at once that you’re looking at your mother.

okay so we have officiallllyyyyyy started the writing for our second route of the game !! very excited, especially since this one is so different from the one we just finished
