The ideal situation in 4 years is tens of millions of those people realize they were wrong, get welcomed to this side with forgiveness and understanding, and start standing with us, beginning to heal the deep divide that has occurred in this country.

Yes, the die-hard MAGA group is basically a cult, and their leadership is pretty evil, and there's a fair number of outright bigots and quasi-fascists on the right, but a lot of the voting block is also made up of people who got taken in by the cult, or people who just plain don't follow politics much and simply vote the way their family does, or who don't really understand politics at all, or who believed a lie, or who were single issue voters who didn't realize what they were doing to their country, or, was influenced by the bad friends they used to hang out with, or, or, or.

And if they realize they should, we want them to be able to walk across the aisle and find community here and stand with us.

There was a time i didn't really pay attention to politics and just voted how my friends were voting because it seemed like the thing to do and my life was complicated enough without doing all the research and activism politics seems to require. I know there are many people who voted red for similar reasons.

Leave room for grace, for growth, embody the spirit of the humanity we strive to enable and leave the door open for anyone who realizes they made a mistake and wants to help fix it.

I know it's tempting to feel like they got what's coming to them, evil things are always tempting; it's not the feeling tempted that makes a person terrible, it's the embracing it instead of resisting it that defines what kind of person you are.

Approve of people who start to do the right thing. Encourage anyone who starts to realize they were wrong.

They just found out what tariffs are

They just found out what denaturalization is

They (particularly black and Hispanic trump voters) just found out that other trump voters are racist

Leftists and liberals don't want to be their friends (they are furious about this)
