#that probably would've played into his inferiority complex

Why do I feel like knowing Fugaku’s favouritism, Itachi would have a much better room. Like with a walk in closet, bathroom etc. I can’t help but believe that Mikoto was lying when she said that Fugaku talks about Sasuke whenever they are alone.
Oh boi. Fugaku hate in my inbox. It is finally happening.
And to that, I say, probably not?
Don't get me wrong, Fugaku certainly plays favorites, but it doesn't really strike me as something he does consciously. And if he does, he at least knows not to overdo it.
Not going to work on an in-depth analysis right now on either Fugaku or Mikoto. I'd probably ask my mum to assist me in writing that one, as she's been working in the field for 40+ years (specifically spotting, critiquing, and correcting malfunctions behavior in parents and adolescents) and it's been a while since the two of us last discussed Fugaku and Mikoto.
On Fugaku
This is going to sound harsh but, to Fugaku, Itachi is just more "interesting" and "useful" than Sasuke. Essentially, Fugaku doesn't participate in the world of his children but instead, he waits for his children to be able to participate in his world. Since Sasuke is younger and has reached fewer developmental milestones, he is not yet able to partake in his father's life to the same degree Itachi does.
Sasuke is still going to school. He can barely use any jutsu. He has never seen a battle before. This is too far removed from Fugaku's world for him to interact with Sasuke on a genuine level.
Itachi is going on missions. He is a prodigy among Uchihas with a wide range of skills. He has seen many battles and gained experience. And to top it all off, Itachi's work is closely related to his father's as a double agent. He has been fully submerged in Fugaku's world.
This is more or less supported by Mikoto's explanation in chapter #224. Itachi is older, so he has more clan duties, which is why he gets more involved with Fugaku's work.
We see this thinking in practice when Fugaku takes more of an interest in an ANBU mission than an entrance ceremony at the academy. One is directly related to his duty as clan head, and the other is child-rearing (something Fugaku doesn't really do).
And to top it off, one has actual consequences (ie. Itachi potentially getting killed or not making it into ANBU), and the other is basically just a pleasantry.
And, of course, Itachi also is of use for Fugaku. As a double agent, his skills are a valuable asset for the Uchiha. The first time Fugaku praises Sasuke, it is after Itachi has fallen out of favor with him and proven himself to be disloyal - if not no longer useful to the clan. And the praise is accompanied by a warning.
"Don't follow your brother [or I might no longer praise you]."
"Don't become disloyal to me or you will fall out of favor with me, just like him."
It can certainly be argued that Fugaku, as Sasuke suspected, views Sasuke as a substitute. Or perhaps chapter #222 made him realize that he had already lost Itachi, so now he is doing his best not to repeat those mistakes with Sasuke and actually listen to his child's needs.
Either way, Fugaku still loves them both. His acceptance of death at the hands of Itachi speaks volumes about his unconditional love for his children.
What I am saying is that Fugaku, despite his very limited screen time, is an incredibly complex figure. He is a failed parent, but he is not a cruel parent. He loves his children but fails to externalize it or build a bond with them.
Does it damage both Sasuke and Itachi emotionally? Absolutely! Was that ever the plan? Hell no.
On Mikoto
I agree with you that Mikoto was most likely lying, however. My mother pointed out that in her experience, children like Sasuke won't usually express feelings of emotional neglect to their parents unless something is actually amiss.
When confronted with Sasuke's perception of the situation, she does two things:
Give a reason for Fugaku's lack of attention toward Sasuke (defend Fugaku's actions)
Tell Sasuke he just misunderstood the situation (invalidate Sasuke's perception)
The first, I have already commented on, because there is genuine truth to Fugaku's paying attention to Itachi being the result of their duty as clan head and spy respectively. But the second is where it gets interesting.
Mikoto defends Fugaku, basically saying "he loves you, he is just too awkward to say it to your face". According to her, it is not that Fugaku doesn't want to or doesn't have time to think about Sasuke, it's that some sort of personality trait prevents him from displaying his pride or affection.
This is contradicted, however, by all the praise that Fugaku openly directs at Itachi repeatedly, right in front of Sasuke, and even when Itachi doesn't seem at all receptive to the praise. Truly, "awkwardness" doesn't seem to affect Fugaku's actions as much as Mikoto claims to.
It is not "awkwardness" that we are talking about here. It is ignorance or disinterest in Sasuke's "lesser" achievements.
Not only that, but Fugaku really does not spend much time with Sasuke and doesn't feel the need to communicate any feelings of endearment or pride to Sasuke. Fugaku is barely involved in Sasuke's life and he doesn't even try to involve himself until that point. Why would he be talking more about Sasuke than about Itachi? How does he know enough about Sasuke to hold a conversation about him?
My mother hypothesized that Mikoto, in that instance, might be prioritizing her loyalty to her husband over her duty toward her children. She still recognizes Sasuke's pain and reassures him, but ultimately, she dismisses his feelings. Not that she wants to but she also doesn't want to or feel the need to confront her husband over this.
It is not an entirely baseless read of her character, as she also appears supportive of Fugaku's choice to involve Itachi in clan politics, for instance. Clan politics which, as an involved parent, she should recognize as harmful to her child.
She agrees with Fugaku's assessment that Itachi is old enough to get involved with clan duties and in another scene she takes a seat beside Fugaku when discussing clan matters (it is symbolic of her support). Of course, it can also be argued that Mikoto is not joining those conversations to support Fugaku but rather to support Itachi. In chapter #221, she appears rather worried or scared, though it is unclear whether she is scared for her son or of her son.
Either way, we do not see her speak up on behalf of Itachi. She agrees with or condones Itachi's involvement in dangerous clan politics against her child's best interest - but in favor of Fugaku's and the clan's own interest.
It appears as though Mikoto is just a "yes" person in the marriage, trusting Fugaku's decision-making and not bothering to argue with or question her husband. Again, much like Fugaku, she is not deliberately failing her children, but that's just what she ends up doing anyway.
#of course still feel free to have different headcanons on this#but this is what i am mostly getting from those two after that discussion with my mother#also had sasuke really been given an inferior room#that probably would've played into his inferiority complex#and we would've seen him being sad over the fact#naruto#naruto ask#naruto discussion#ask#anon#anon ask#mikoto#mikoto uchiha#fugaku#fugaku uchiha#anti mikoto#anti mikoto uchiha#anti fugaku#anti fugaku uchiha

the second gen capp and monty headcanon dump
as much as i like the local teens, i think the adults deserve the love too. some of them were created through a collaboration with my dear friend push. i'll add the read more link after goneril's headcanons, so if someone doesn't want to read the full post could scroll through more easily.
the capp sibs
goneril capp:
the middle child with an inferior complex: was convinced that she can't be beautiful as cordelia and smart as regan, and is clearly unfavored by both of her parents. despite her cold and strict façade, goneril's a very emotional person.
a massive people pleaser, especially when it comes to her parents. only had that much kids in hopes that contessa would've chosen her kid as an heir. dropped that idea only after she passed, seemingly regretting even doing so. nowadays, after contessa's death, she's truly trying to be a better mother, even though she thinks it's a little too late in miranda's case.
used to date claudio in the past and was almost ready to abandon her home just to be with him, until she learnt that he only dated her as "a dare". he had also publicly broke up with her, making her look like a desperate. she'd never forgave him for that stunt, of course. years after she's still thinking whether she was in love with him or the idea of him. the idea of being free, to be particular.
one of the best dressed people in the town, always knows how to present herself.
is keen on cooking, though, she's not as skillful as kent, she really enjoys the process of preparing the food
regan capp:
the youngest daughter, so she had not as much pressure from her parents compared as her older sisters. it suits them fine, since they enjoy doing the things on their own. tends to be very independent and stubborn in her descision making as a result.
consort's favorite kid, undoubtedly, since she was named after his prime caretaker (his grandma) and resembles contessa A LOT, both by appearance and character (the list also includes her eyesight problems and difficulties with showing emotions). however, due to her resemblance to their mother, they're often targeted by isabella monty, whenever they cross paths.
is a staunch childfree, she had enough of watching her parents and sisters raising kids to be permanently dissuaded from having them in her life.
is heavily into sports, does a lot of activities like jogging, swimming, playing tennis and football and skiing. they are also a master fencer in the family, tybalt swears one day he will prevail and take over the title from his aunt.
astronomy is her non-sport passion. they enjoy spending their time at the veronaville observatory and fighting with antonio monty over that territory
a bisexual, who also kind of questioned her gender before, has some tendencies towards non-binarity but she's still isn't so sure about it. a she/they pronoun user.
kent capp:
is an accident kid, also the youngest one and the only son - truly a misfortunate fate to have, once you had born in the capp family. contessa had a trouble with birthing him, so consort still (subconsciously) blames kent for contessa's declined health after that. he's the only kid who vastly prefers contessa to consort as a parental figure.
as a result, he hides his unique eyes with the blue lenses in order to have less similarities with that man. would rather die than call consort a father.
has a super fancy STEM degree, never worked a day in his actual work field, instead had changed like 10 to 15 low-paying jobs. from a cashier to a delivery guy to a stripper - you name it!
despite being against the feud, he still takes offence on his sisters' and niblings' behalf. once claudio referred goneril's dress as a "hoe sack", and the next day his car's tires were suspiciously slashed.
has passion for cooking and is darn great at it. once pranked the montys by hiring himself into their restaurant as a cook, they only figured it out after almost a month of his work.
probably one day would open his own gay bar with some cool appetizers and cocktails of his own creating
has a long-lost twin brother in strangetown named vidcund
cordelia capp:
the eldest. the heiress. contessa's favourite. a true capp woman. was very beautiful and charismatic
wasn't as goody-two-shoes person as she initially appeared, though she wasn't necessarily evil or nasty but she had her downsides.
cordelia was very, VERY headstrong and was not afraid to show her teeth when she couldn't have her thing "in a nice way".
yes, she was against the feud, that is correct, but she'd also been driven by the potential financial profit. after all, feuding can be pretty expensive both on money and lives. wasn't above of idea of eloping juliette with one of the claudio's sons, if it could seal the peace deal.
had this surprising ruthlessness when it came to managing stuff in business, yet she lacked regan's foresight in some ways.
still, despite not being the greatest mother on earth, treated her children equally, compared to her parents, each of whom had their own favorite.
the monty sibs
antonio monty:
a middle child, he's meek and overempathetic compared to much bolder bianca and claudio. he's also very easy person to manipulate or guiltrip
had always been on chubby side, since his early childhood, the only time when he was fit was his late teens-early adulthood years
the most skilfull monty in the cooking field (besides isabella) but he had always wanted to be an astronaut instead. still to this day has a passion for astronomy and, of course, out of all people in veronaville, the other person who's into that as much as him is that goddamn capp woman
he likes cooking in general, but he doesn't like do it for life, yet he feels obliged to do so, since his siblings and niblings are quite unhelpful. he personally peaked as a chef with that prize-winning wedding cake of his
used to be a punk in his teen/college student years, looking back, he's not really proud of who he was back then due to some questionable stuff he had done, but those were his golden years for sure
before hero came into the picture, the rest of the family speculated whether antonio was gay or not
he's either insomniac or sleeps like a rock, there's no in between
bianca monty:
the youngest child, also a daughter. unlike kent, she wasn't as screwed being the youngest monty and a girl
is an accountant at the restaurant, won't even come closer to a working stove for more than five meters. she also works as a freelance comic artist and the interior designer (has a degree in it, actually)
is vegan, which sometimes can be exhausting, cause the rest of the family are avid meat-eaters, but antonio usually accommodates to his lil' sis by making her favorite vegan dishes for the family gatherings
is an aroace, doesn't really want a romantic relationship, but still wants a child. seriously considered an option of kent being her sperm donor
she's terrible at handling the alcohol. does a lot of weird shit whenever she's wasted.
claudio monty:
was the eldest son. a proud, self-assured man. patrizio was hoping that he'd take over the restaurant after he retires. unfortunately for him, he outlived his own son.
was an asshole, to be precise. yes, he was very competitive, very determined, was an "efficient business manager", but an asshole nevertheless.
dreamed of becoming a famous musician and even had his own band in his teens. wrote a lot of songs about his exes, lol. most of them are kind of mid, though there was the one which made it to the local veronaville radio station and became a hit. this one he wrote about goneril in particular. even till his later years, he wasn't sure whether he actually loved her or not.
was rumored to be involved with antonio's late wife, hero. no one truly knows whether the rumors were true. he was also named as a main reason for her passing, shortly after his own death, though antonio prefers to believe it was the capps' deed.
romeo was his favorite one, since mercutio was the one who made him tie a knot with his mother

Hi! You asked for iwbft angst and I'm just back from the club so I am here to make myself sad :)
All I can think of I'd jimmy and his sister and the headcanons I have about that. So here you go
It's not that jimmy was the favourite of his grandparents but he needed a lot more tlc than his sister did. With coming out as trans at a really young age and that needing advocated fir, and his anxiety/paranoia, and him being like a music prodigy (and also him height just Youngest Child tm). His sister had classic oldest daughter syndrome and just had to go along with all this when it seemed like nothing in her life was as interesting. (Also she probably remembers a time where their parents were together more than himmy but I don't have thoughts about that)
When she was going to university she choose the farthest place she could. She loves her family, but she needed to distance herself from them (and jimmy specifically). When in school all she was known as was "Jimmy's sister" weather that was a good thing or not, and she wanted the chance to be her own person
Jimmy on the other hand is desperate for her attention/approval! Je doesn't make it public thay he has a sister ciz she doesn't want that but he will bring her up to people who know all the time.
"Oh my sister loves lasagne" "my sisters favourite colour is purple" "Oh my sister is studying that in America" etc etc
When the ark start doing shows in America jimmy very hopefully messages her to ask her to come. She...isn't fussed, but says something like "Yeah, maybe, if I'm free", and to Jimmy that is a undeniable yes! And he's ecstatic!
Rowan and Lister (as Jimmy defenders through abd through!) Have complicated feelings about her.
I feel like her and rowan are very similar, but because they grew up together worh jimmy hes like a second brither, but rowan is also very stubborn and especially when ut comes to Jimmy so she is the worst in his books (compensating because Jimmy can't see it). Lister Ron the other hand, I feel like she clocked listers crush from the get go and very much h does not approve of the relationship. Not that Lister cares, he can see right through her just as easily, lister knows what it's like to have difficult siblings relationships, so they have their own understanding.
Lister is the one to actually convince her to come see them perform. Nit that jummy needs tk know that.
She crys during Joan of Ark.
Okay that's all I hot goodnight 🥰
AAAAA i loove all of this !! we actually have such similar ideas about her ?? me and my friend talk have like turned her into an oc together lolsies weve been calling her naomi hehe
and i sooo agree with the older sister syndrome. i feel like she would've had a big inferiority complex when it comes to jimmy, since he becomes successful at such a young age, and while shes doing well in school, its just sort of average compared to him. also with her being older im sure she has more memories of their parents, so the move between living with them and their grandparents may have been harder for her. and jimmy not really understanding why she seeks their approval so much when their not even around for them.
but even though their relationship is complicated she does care about him. like she looks out for him in school from the sidelines and i think she really does not get a long with lister after the suitcase incident. rowan was kinda scared of her growing up because she just seemed annoyed by everything 24/7 bless. also i can imagine a younger jimmy being like can we play mario kart :( can we play just dance :( can we play minecraft :( like hes just always been the annoying younger sibling even though if she were to bring it up hed be like well i dont remember it like that so ur being dramatic :/ (shes just saying it how it was)
also i when shes older i think she travels a lot for work !! in my head shes a sports journalist and i totally did not make this a thing so i could make her and kou matsuoka (that one girl from free) lesbians together. i think she comes out to him or the gujarat family holiday and hes like 'no way ur dating an olympic swimmer ????' and shes like. 'even better. an olympic swimmer's SISTER !!' also in my head she looks like camilia from 'i love amy' but with curlier hair
#iwbft#i was born for this#osemanverse#jimmy kaga ricci#jimmy's sister#making that a tag bcus i WILL be talking abt her more on her now

A lot of my hc for hfr are about Chai and his mom lol 😅
• one hc is that Chai's mom acted a lot like him when she was younger, but having Chai matured her.
• I think she may also be the worry wart type as well.
• I also believe Chai got his love of music from his mom, she's not a world famous singer, but the town they live in love her songs.
• I'm 100% convinced Chai had a lonely childhood, whether he was bullied or just never felt like he fit in I'm not certain, but this guy definitely struggled to make friends.
• nothing to confirm it, but I'm also convinced he is a mama's boy.
HAII i love your takes!!! i wish there was even just a little bit of elaboration on chai and his family tbh... i dislike how there's literally zero info on his family but that's just me bc i can never pick and settle on just one headcanon BAJHBHW. him being a mama's boy though? i'm SOO on board for that dawg
i'ma do what i did last time and go down the list ahuhu
(first two) OUGHHH LIKE MOTHER LIKE SON... SNIF SNIF... i think it would be a nice full circle moment if chai goes through the exact same thing when he eventually has a kid... me personally, i like to think he'd have a kid one day. he reads like a girldad. i totally think chai's mom would've been like the cool mom and kids loved to visit because she was chill and funny and made good snacks... if chai had friends growing up, anyway
(third + fourth) i have not considered this take tbh!! do you think that's why he likes rock music specifically? because his mom makes rock music and he wanted to be just like his mom? (semi-unrelated, but i had the thought that chai's mom has a similar guitar to his in canon... and also maybe she probably has a motorcycle... biker mom..........) the hc i have where chai develops his love for music stems from him being in and out of the hospital very frequently (not JUST because of his arm) and music is virtually his only friend through it all. it's implied he prefers to run solo and has an inferiority complex (WHICH. i KNOW this cutscene played was while he was dreaming BUT i have no doubts that this is something that CNMN actually said to him off screen because if he made Pepperrmint take a personality test, he TOTALLY made Chai take one too) so i definitely agree with you that he had a lonely childhood growing up. i feel like that vein of inferiority runs deeper than Chai ever lets on in game and it got in the way of him MAINTAINING friends as opposed to making them.
on this note, i don't think chai would have a father. i think it would be just him and his mom.
#hi fi rush#hi-fi rush#hi fi rush chai#headcanons#text post#ask#answer#chai is totally a momma's boy#now THAT is a hill i would die on

Have summer Santino drinking redbull and having fun :]
Frankly, Redbull is disgusting, it's horrible, I feel like I'm drinking medecine. And I think Santino hates it too (I mean, he clearly loved good cuisine, this is not it) but he would totally drink it the morning after partying hard.
Listen, this was absolutely NOT the question here, or maybe it is, but you asked so now you have to bear the consequences.
(this is a HC I have that's different from the one I described in my W.A.R. series)
I think Santino was the kind to party hard when he was around his twenties. Went to university and was part of the golden circle of privileged youngs. Drove a flashy car (il was yellow, like the one from Lo Spietato), drank and smoked too much, tried about every drugs, and is absolutely the kind that found themselves in the middle of orgies (by choice, probably was the one that made it happen). I say that because I think he loves to be worshipped so he would be at the center, getting kissed and touched and caressed and he might even think that this was love.
You would wonder how he passed his classes, well, that's forgetting he is damaged and has insomnia, an inferiority complex, and respond to taunt by throwing himself head first into the problem. He is smart and charming in the first place so... It was a mix of talent, obsessive behavior and talking people into helping him out. Last resort, his familly would have a word with the administration, but I think he would've hated that.
He also had followers, of course, people to do his bidding just for a scrape of his attention, and he knew how to play on that perfectly. Went through girls like shirts and through boys like underwears and liked both. He treated them all very badly and told himself he didn't care when they cried, or when he got slapped. Tried every kink under the sun, and then some.
That period didn't last long, maybe five year max, where he was far away from his family and kinda got wild because of the sudden freedom. For a moment, he probably thought he could be anything.
But each time he got back to Naples, it was hell. And when he was done with his studies, he went back under his family's shadow and well, that little wild flame got twisted until it was a cold fire.
So here, I think he is on vacation with his friends, and they partied hard the night before and cofee ain't just gonna cut it so Redbull it is.
Also, he didn't have any real friend so whoever is this guy, you can see Santino is totally wishing he would die and leave him to enjoy hate his redbull in peace. He is NOT having fun right at this moment, but he will when he gets a glimpse of the man who is renting the little a bit further away from, who recently lost his wife and looks sad and has a cute little puppy named Daisy.
(the man totally got bullied by his friend Caine into getting out of "that depressing mausoleum you call a house, why don't you come with me and Mia on vacation? We go to this little town in Itlay called Positano...")
(Neither of them are ready to meet each other)
(I'm totally writing a romcom here lol)
(someone stop me)

Pokemon au again.....
Dian with a Greavard..... The dog. The ghost motif. The "grieve" and "grave" in the name. The dog being based on a Briard (or the Spanish Catalan sheepdog), the .. the candle too.
Fai with a Mabosstiff maybe. Just because of the tale of like. A white dog being good, and a black dog being bad (the Cadejo)..... Yeah ..reminded me of them ...
Waitttt.... Flor Dian and Fai with dog pokemon.... Explodes. The dogs...
Okay so um hello Kel you're going to make me go feral /pos
Greavard for Dian isn't necessarily one that I would've ever thought of because while it has a candle, it's a pure ghost type! But looking at it, it's super fitting for him, a small and happy creature that is very lonely, he would definitely scoop it up and want to take it home with him. (my brain screaming at me about the candle. the candle.) Not only that but it's violet pokedex entry, "this friendly Pokémon doesn't like being alone. Pay it even the slightest bit of attention, and it will follow you forever," is so utterly Dian, he's very insecure about friendships and so he can be kind of clingy haha. Also grieve/greave/graveyard and the mourning symbolism because Dian is such a bleeding heart? God, it's spot on.
Mabosstiff is perfect for Fai (especially with the parallel you draw between his and Dian's dog, white/black, good/evil) not only because of the symbolism but also just because of mabosstiff as pokemon in general! Their violet pokedex entry is "Mabosstiff loves playing with children. Though usually gentle, it takes on an intimidating look when protecting its family." and fuckkkk that's so Fai, he is fond of children and he's very protective over his loved ones . . . (also Mabosstiff being a dark type, a dog, and it has the ability "guard dog" which makes it so moves like "roar" don't work on it? Fai won't back down from a fight . . .)
Also the way that Di would have an unevolved pokemon whereas Fai's is evolved kind of shows like, their priorities and their work ethics? Di is hardworking, yes, but only really when it comes to his passions. In a pokemon world, Dian would not be a trainer who battles a lot, and that's kind of reflected in his pokemon. I think he would probably only have one that was fully evolved? Whereas Faisal, he would be a battler and a skilled trainer, but that's because whenever he does anything, he puts all of himself into it, in an attempt to prove himself. Man, Fai and his inferiority complex . . . hooo boy man, Kel, you're making me go a little crazy /silly /pos

answering a entire ask game for one oc because i can (but its probably only gonna be miley)
(use the link for a key!!)
🌈 orange and grey, mainly neon orange and darker shades of grey (not black, more of a #48494a than a #acadb0 if that makes sense)
👁️ from how i see it? a moody teen who's only like that to counter his best friend. and while that's semi-true, he is meant to be a bit more than that.
💝 eeeeh....he just puts on a grey hoodie and calls it a day 99% of the time. he's always cold.
⚠️ 'incredibly paranoid and easily provoked, interact with caution.'
🌨️ outside with his camera, taking photos of anything that catches his eye, and probably napping in a few places while he's at it.
💙 somewhat messy, a few posters and a desk + spinny chair, closet, and a messy as hell bed
👖 i mean. hes in hs.
☕ he likes soda, cherry to be specific, but also can do with energy drinks sometimes. not often. he would refuse to ever sleep if he had them more.
🧁 8/31/2007, with his friend group. his parents try to leave something for him (one works day shift leaves a gift, one who works night shift gets a cake) but he spends the day with the rest of the quartet. Bri especially makes sure she wears something miku related (since him and miku share a birthday)
🧠 fight. easily fight. though he moreso.....either makes the other person try to hit him so he can dodge and blame it on them, or lets them tire themselves out.
💭 ooooh boy. inferiority complex, anger issues, paranoia, yeah hes doing great. a lot of shame, since he doesnt really feel like he's a good or worthy person.
💔 absolutely hard. he can come around to it after a WHILE, but forgiving himself is off the table.
❗ keeping his friends from other people bullying them, taking photos of important things, and just staying alive.
⚔️ he tries to stay out of it, unless it's someone he cares about or a unfair fight. then he steps in and ends it by either surprising the other person or scaring them off.
🌍 eeeh. he doesnt give a shit. he's not dying, is he? and he's a bad person, right? why worry about a way to redemption when you know you're already damned?
🌊 ...he really wants to take care of animals. cats, specifically. sadly, animals don't like him much, so he doesn't think it's possible.
✨ taking photos of his friends and keeping them physically. it's something to remind there are people who spend time on him and want him around. helps his self-loathing.
🧶 photography. he loves photography.
🍪 rain, somewhat flowers, and fire/smoke.
☔ he loves it. in his words, 'it keeps everyone else inside, so it's just me and my umbrella.'
🌲 his friends houses, but also a abandoned gazebo he found in the woods while taking photos. he goes there when he feels like being 100% sure he's alone.
⚡ no, not really.
🗡️ his camera, maybe?
💛 awkward as FUCK. he'll push lavender instead, he knows he's bad at it.
🧡 eeeeh. if you're trusted, absolutely.
👁️🗨️ don't. just dont. he HATES it.
🐺 he's alright with it. not for too long, but for a bit, sure.
🔅 cursing. LOTS of swearing.
🌱 (doing it from from ic dialogue) "Eh?- Early memory?- ...I guess meeting Bri is early enough. She approached me, pulled me up from my seat, and dragged me out to go play with her! ....I was looking for an excuse to talk to her, don't worry. Sometimes I wonder what would've happened to me if we never met...."
🐰 eeeeeh. depends on the person.
🍁 autumn. he likes it being cool but not too warm.
🌕 he'd be a standard orange fox. he loves them.
🦷 ......probably not. i hope.
🐉 dragon.

anyways now that im awake im elaborating on this post that i made at 6 am
here's the line in question:
so this is post-loan jamie. keeley asks how he's doing and he rattles off statistics about the game that city's just played. something something he's never considered anyone aside from his mum asking how are you doing to be asking about his health instead of his skill something something his dad fucked him up good with that one.
jamie didn't play this full match. just 2 completed dribbles for jamie? yeah no that's like. probably the last 20-30 minutes played. if we compare jamie to one of his most direct (imo) comparisons, phil f0den (man city academy product, skill all over the pitch, blah blah blah), here's f0den's stats for 2019-20. he played 10 minutes of the first west ham match and 5 of the second. but, in the latter half of the season (in my thought jamie's loan was cut short the second week of february - we're given a post-gala date (feb 3) and jamie's still sulking about being benched when he's sent back to city - it very easily could be true that his first match back with city in 2019-20 was west ham !! if we just switch that the first west ham match of the season was played in london and the second was played at the etihad but this DOESN'T MATTER and im LITERALLY JUST BRAINROTTING HERE) phil got more and more minutes in each game, even playing the full 90 in a few (like jamie does at the richmond match!)
here are the irl stats for city at west ham 2019 and west ham at city (in the third week of february) 2020 but again does not matter i am literally just brainrotting here.
so. jamie played the last 20 minutes of city/west ham at west ham. the line i really want to focus in on here is this.
in the 89th minute, they let me take a free kick.
we already know jamie's a talent at a free kick. even if we're just using s1 jamie as proof, we see him score one in 1x05. if we include s2 context, in 2x12, chris says you have to think tartt'll be the one to take it. he hasn't missed a penalty all season. if jamie was the one fouled, which is possible given that the foul could've happened on one of his two completed dribbles, you have to think jamie would be the one to take it.
the three words i want to focus on is they let me. jamie would've said pep if he was referring to pep letting him do just about anything. the they implies more than just pep were involved in the decision.
in my mind this really just solidifies what phil (the actor not the player) said when he said that jamie at city had an inferiority complex. i think his captain/maybe some of the other older players on the pitch were actively involved in keeping opportunities from jamie. they can't exactly dictate when pep decides to sub him in or out from the pitch, but they can dictate when to pass to him, how many opportunities to give him, and they can take free kicks.
we know jamie is an all around talent. even in s1 when he had mannion and cartrick hyping up his ego, you can't deny that he's a good player. we have jamie publicly described as a "budding superstar", "a special player" and "[ted's] best player" all in 1x05. in 2x03 he's referred to as the "ex-manchester city starlet".
but he couldn't thrive at city. and that's not just because of his dad.
#headcanons !#i dont know if this makes ~ any sense at all ~#but im posting it and not looking back we ball

~Avery X Reader~
Word Count: 932
Content: SFW
-Attention-
Out of spite and dislike for being inferior in any way, Avery ran away from the thought that you were in any way, shape or form likable. Actually, he found your overly friendly behavior annoying and repulsive, or so he has been led to think by his own complexes.
Anybody else would've found you charming and fun to be around, having so much to say at any given moment, but not Avery. He had been furious every time you'd meet, hence just the thought of your smiling face made him red in the cheeks.
How does one, or rather, how does he, knowing you so briefly, have learned to hate every cell of your entire being, fiercely and passionately? That's why he needed to see you again. Prove his strength and overall dominance.
Yet again, Avery lay awake in bed thinking about you and all the ways he could show off his natural elegant glamour and make you like him more than you already do.
Scenarios were playing in his mind like an old film, you being impressed, utterly defeated by his strong drive to be Galar's own Psychic Gym Leader. The way you'd mouth a 'wow', clapping your hands and stating: 'Yeah, you're really cool, Avery! Now I see what you meant by your impactful words!' or… something like that.
That should be the winning formula.
He grinned and chuckled to himself, gripping the sheets close to his chin. A rival is always a rival. It's a cute concept, in a way.
Wait, no, not cute, I meant, uh, mighty! Yes, indeed, a mighty occurrence, something to be thoroughly cherished as an opportunity to outsmart and outwit your, quote, buddy. At least that's how Klara always is when he's involved.
Surprise, surprise, the next time he saw you, idling around in the Wild Area, you were chatting with her, giggling, having fun. Avery's fist clenched on instinct. Siding with another enemy force? You?? How ever could you?! You were supposed to be focused entirely on him and his dashing battle tactics, looks and charm!
He pushed his glasses up his nose and swallowed the lump in his tightened throat. He was super nervous, twirling a strand of his silky blond hair around his finger.
If he could figure out what you were thinking, if only he knew what your opinions on him were, what you liked, what your favorite places were… no, no no, he got sidetracked.
While tugging on his cravat, teeth nibbling on one of his nails, lost in ocean deep thought, you finally noticed his tall hat and waved at him.
His name being called so joyfully snapped him back to reality, gaze adjusting to your distant figure. Avery could barely make out a beaming smile on your face, but it was certainly present, the edges of his lips subconsciously tugging into a tiny smirk of his own.
Klara put a hand over her mouth, and laughed for a brief moment. She gave you a playful, friendly hit to the shoulder, briefly nodded at Avery and went her own way, probably to train up some more, ready to wipe the floor with him the next time they would meet. Or pretend to train. Avery was confused about her missing the opportunity to squabble with him, but what puzzled him more was the warmth in his chest when you suddenly appeared in front of him, outstretching your arms as an invitation to a hug.
That must've been a kind of frustration only the best of the best feel towards each other as trainers.
Actually, now that he'd though about it, did he ever announce your rivalry out loud? Did you even know?
He was looking into your eyes, admiring the brief but innocent sparkle.
He felt funny.
"You wanted to have a battle, right?", you asked, slowly linking your hands behind your back, seeing that he wasn't interested in an embrace, "That's why you're here, I assume?"
No, not only a battle. A battle with you. To prove that he is good enough. So that you would notice him and admire him.
Toying with one of his levitating Poké Balls in an attempt to distract himself from the flips his stomach was stubbornly performing, he opened his mouth slightly with the intention of replying, but nothing would come out.
He had nothing to say. Not even an arrogant remark. Only heavy silence pressing on his ears. He felt his heartbeat in his neck.
What kind of trick did you use?
Where did all of his strength go?
Your cheeks were slightly tinted pink, you were fiddling with your thumbs, patiently awaiting some kind of response.
He was forced to look away, palms getting a bit sweaty, his own face redder than yours, color present even on the tips of his ears.
Avery stepped forward awkwardly, shaky arms gently enveloping you. And oh did he regret not doing that earlier. He felt welcomed, accepted, finally seemed like he belonged.
"I am, i-indeed", he stuttered,
"And this time, (Y/N), I will try my absolute best", his grip on you briefly tightened.
"More than three percent of your strength now?", you chuckled, throwing your arms around his neck.
"All of it."
"If you lose, you're buying us lemonade later!"
Immediately, he agreed, but not without a forced complaint.
"Don't breathe in my ear, scoundrel!", he exclaimed, to which you started laughing, your chest pressed to his, him clearly feeling all the life in you. Somewhere along the way completely forgetting that he ever totally seriously and utterly sincerely hated you. Or something.

Ezaaaaaaa OMG I just binge watched Enchante and it's such a gem of a show! I watched Cherry Magic because of you too so it's not like I went into it thinking that it wouldn't be good, but it surprised me just how much I'm liking it! Episode 8 was so good and so worth the wait, but now I'm worried about what's going to happen in the remaining 2 episodes 😭 I don't want anything bad to happen to Theo and Akk just when they got together 😭 What do you think is going to happen in episodes 9 and 10?
Yessss my plot to get people hooked on queer asian shows is working hohoho
Hey there!! I'm so glad that you're enjoying Enchante!! :D
that is a great question.... there are a few things that come to mind. first, I think the show is going to tie up any loose ends with the ambassadors. we'll see how Saifa is gonna be living his dream of becoming a singer for the simple price of playing cupid lmao, and we're definitely gonna be seeing Phupha and his mom (based on some clips in the BTS special). They're also gonna want to show what tf is up with Tan and how his relationship with Natee is gonna progress, since it's obvious that he likes Natee. As for Wayo - it looks like his arc is mostly resolved, but I can also see him having a brief interaction with our main boys so that he can get some closure with Theo, given that their last interaction was them throwing hands. Idk. Idc that much about wayo lmao
second, there's the issue of the literature major being phased out.... which I seriously wish will not happen!! because my baby Theo worked so hard on the zine fair!! but. I'm also prepared for the possibility of it happening, because it would be a pretty good source of conflict or dilemma for Theo's character and his relationship with akk e.g., will he change majors? I don't see it happening, given how stubborn he is and how much he loves literature. So will he change schools? Maybe :'( but it'll definitely be a struggle, since Theo obviously would want to always stay close to Akk.
third, they might include some reactions from theo's parents regarding his newfound romance, but I don't think it'll be angsty, since they've established that Theo's mom is okay with her son being queer. They might throw in the whole social class difference thing, but that wouldn't make sense. If status difference was gonna be an issue, theo’s parents would've never let him be close friends with akk in the first place. we already know that Im and Egg are gonna react like the supportive teasing queens they are in ep 9, so I'm looking forward to that :D I always love me some sibling dynamics!!
finally, and probably most obviously, they'll introduce Sun's character properly. He's definitely gonna play a big role in the last 2 episodes. He seems to genuinely like Theo based on the interactions we've seen of him and Theo, but we don't know yet what the nature of his feelings is. I think he's gonna show up in Thailand and trigger a whole crisis in Akk. We know from the trailer that akk is gonna have self-doubts about whether or not he's worthy of Theo, which is just so :((( I hope this doesn't entail him and Theo breaking up tho, because THEY JUST GOT TOGETHER. i'd be so mad if they broke up so quickly lmao. but i do think it'll be good to address Akk's insecurities, and I do think that it makes sense that his inferiority complex wouldn't disappear overnight after he and Theo got together. those things take time, you know?
I can also see them throwing in something that would make theo go back to France :( but if they do, my only wish is that akk will go with him lol
honestly, idk, anon. I personally think that the show has been well-paced so far, so I'm holding out hope that the writers won't throw in too much shit in the final 2 episodes unless it can all be resolved nicely and meaningfully. With all these things needing to be addressed, I hope that they won't have time to come up with some nonsense to drive theo and akk apart lol. so maybe we won't have to experience the penultimate-episode-angsty-break-up curse!!
#anon#anonymous#enchante#the show hasn't disappointed me so far with any of the conflicts#let's hope that this trend will continue lmao

Tbh, I think the writers have handled not this donation situation well. This is what happens when you create a contrived conflict for the sake of drama. You rarely have a concrete plan to let things develop organically.
There's a meltdown in the fandom, expect lots of ranting from me and others. L
They've squeezed in so much between 4x09 and now because they took too long bringing it out into the open. Now they hurt two characters which is unfair.
Leyla is basically throwing her life away unless someone "talks some sense into her" Residency spots are not so easy to come by and she's giving up two spots already. I'm quite pissed, not at Leyla but at the Dean for his bias from the beginning and to see no mention of it in all this makes me angrier.
Leyla has an inferiority complex and I'm sure not getting the slot in NA has only contributed more to it. She's needs therapy and I don't trust this show to really dive into it.
PS: I'm going to be doing lots of ranting today. I'm sorry in advance, because I'll probably spam your inbox. 😬😉
It's truly going to take some unexpected twists and turns for Leyla to come back to NA. Giving up her residency spot is a big deal. Ngl, I think she's probably going to do her residency in another hospital because I don't know how they are going to bring her back.
I'm gonna brace up for a LDR and an extended Leyla disappearance.
I don't like how this story is painting Lauren as the villain who messed up a woman's life for her selfish gains to the casual viewers. People are quick to demonize her and it seems the writers are playing into their hands, it's just not fair.
She's suffered enough, you 'sadistic' writers.
Rant ended.
oh this plotline is definitely contrived through and through and if i had any say in the matter, i would've kicked the writers' asses before a single brain cell of theirs could ever wander into this idea. but alas, here we are, stuck with it.
unfortunately this hammer drop reveal was never going to happen any sooner than the midseason finale and you're right, it does leave us with limited room in terms of the back half to get into things, especially with leyla disappearing for chunks of episodes. but another thing to consider is... maybe this drags into s5? and 4b ends with them in a hopeful place rather than totally mended and we'll build back into that for 5a. so i guess in these scenarios it's almost a pick your poison, trust the writers to effectively, acceptably, get things resolved in 10 episodes (remaining) or have patience and give them more leeway to work with.
i'm tentatively hopeful that the writers are exactly aware of how they've written leyla with her own set of flaws instead of a character just being wronged. which, let's be clear, she was. but roxana saying that she and the other residents who are friends with leyla, are worried she's throwing her future away, floyd making it clear in his story about nottingham that he came to realize nottingham, one of the best cardio surgeons NA has, was rightfully talented despite getting a spot via donations, the fundamentally untrue things leyla said about the food and clothes in their last conversation, are signs of acknowledging that leyla's reaction is... well kind of an extreme one. i think it was significant that roxana's reaction to leyla quitting was essentially 'woah girl pump the breaks.' now how deep the writers get into this, if at all, still remains to be seen. and for sure, i ABSOLUTELY, like would bang down their doors and debate them, would like for them to more frankly acknowledge that leyla was unfairly discriminated against by a nationalistic system and mindset at NA. a mindset, btw, that max should have, would've been horrified to learn about. hell, i think it's very ironic that in this week's episode, helen was gushing about a candidate for her deputy medical director position who practiced at the afgan border when meanwhile across the ocean, leyla, a fully trained doctor who practiced in refugee camps, gets her application dismissed for a RESIDENCY spot. like. okay. but i don't think it's been as definitively, 'DONATION BAD, LAUREN BAD, LEYLA RIGHT' as it sometimes feels.
and that's another thing i wonder about, the writers intent vs the casual viewer's perception. because do the casual viewers think what lauren did is that evil or that she's a villain? it's certainly not the pulse of the entire viewership but i did scroll through the NA official IG account that asked captioned the post asking whether what lauren did was wrong and tbh i thought the responses, filtering out the obvious leyren fans, were pretty fair, leaning sympathetic. which is that lauren had good intentions and shouldn't have kept it from leyla. now opposing shippers who for some reason have beef, lol, are certainly more vocal in their.... perspectives. but are they really the baseline? if i'm honest, in my (very biased) opinion, i don't think the writers are trying to paint lauren in an unsympathetic light. they've certainly had her called out for what she did but with casey's reaction, i think you had almost a counterbalance with floyd's experience with nottingham. because they could have just a easily made it a random resident floyd encountered during his years in cardio and never found them redeemable. after all, he is the upstanding, moral character.
we know for certain that leyla plans to seek residency elsewhere, how that plays out, how far it plays out before she gets thrown back into the wild world of new amsterdam hospital, remains to be seen. but she will, in some way, brought back into the fold. if the writers do go the LDR for lauren and leyla, i have to think it's with some kind plan to reincorporate leyla eventually into NA. otherwise the writers are limiting themselves on an important part of lauren's story. but again, we'll see. i try not to speculate too much into the future because it'll drive me bonkers LOL. there are like 8 of those little bastards in a room writing, who knows what'll shake out.
and my friend, my inbox is always open for your rants! i may agree, disagree and every range in between but i hope you know it's always out of love and the spirit of fun discussion.

Okay so I wanted to do a few posts in defense of my favorite pairings Sasusaku, Ichihime, and Todomomo, because I've seen them get bashed quite a lot. Today I'm starting with Sasusaku.
Sasusaku common hate: Sasuke treated Sakura like garbage, why does she love him,Sasuke never cared about Sakura, sasusaku is sooo toxic.
" Sasuke treated Sakura like garbage" Ok Sasuke never treated Sakura like garbage where are they even getting this from?!... are they referring to when he called her annoying? Because he was right..he wasnt being a jerk, she was basically bashing naruto for have no family and remember Sasuke also had no family either so she was also indirectly making fun of him too.. as much as I love Sakura everyone could agree she was being a brat, she didn't know better sure..so that where Sasuke comes in. Sasuke just told her that her making fun of someone for being all alone in the world made her annoying..and it did! No one can argue that. He wasn't trying to insult her.. Hell if that was an insult it was super weak and he could've called her something worse if that's what he was going for..like a snobby privilege brat.. for example..but he didn't..he was just trying to explain loneliness to her and when she didn't get it her called her annoying.
Maybe their referring to when he said she needed to stop flirting with him and hone her ninjutsu..and told her she was worse than Naruto in that respect. Again not treating her like garbage he was telling her the truth! She needed to focus on her skills to improve their team dynamic not her crush on Sasuke! He was just being truthful, bluntly yes, but it was needed. Because after both of those instances..it made Sakura rethink her actions..ie inciting character development. After he called her annoying she thought about how Naruto felt and wanted to be nicer to him after that. And after he said she was worse than naruto she reflected on it. Also he made up for it later on during the chunin exams when he cheered her up
Sasuke Uchiha, the aloof guy who doesn't play nice with others and the guy who "supposedly" treats Sakura like garbage..not only noticed her being upset, where even Naruto (the guy who likes her) didnt, but Sasuke went out of his way to pay her a compliment to make her smile and bring up her confidence! I mean look at his smirk in the bottom panel...oh yeah he so doesn't care.
Oh yeah let's not forget the Forrest of Death..when Sasuke wakes up and sees Sakura hurt.. I mean he must dislike this girl strongly right..its not like he almost killed the people responsible for her beating her..
Yeah because when you treat a person like garbage and dislike them..you care if they get hurt and beat the dog snot out of the ones who did it to them..right?
Did the antis maybe mean when he knocked the apples out of her hands?? Firstly you have to think of the frame of mind he was in..he had just had an encounter with Itachi, you know the man who responsible for his suffering in the first place, and pounded him into a pulp and taunted him about not being good enough and not having enough hate. Remember what he was thinking about as Sakura cut the apples??
He was thinking about how he couldn't do anything to stop Itachi from trying to take Naruto and how he couldn't save Sakura from Gaara but Naruto did..he was feeling powerless and frustrated. Besides if he really didn't want Sakura there or to cut apples for him..he would've told her to get lost and that he didn't want her there but...
He let her hug him and stay in the room with him while she peeled apples for him. Sasuke wasnt being an ass to Sakura. He was frustrated and angry in general at that moment he felt so far away from his goal it hurt, he had trained so hard for years and for what? To be no closer to his goal..his reason for living..letting all that hate and feelingings of uselessness fester and fester until it boiled over and Sakura, at that exact moment, happened to push an apple in his face like he was a baby who couldn't do it on his own.. and the result..
The bottom image even parallels his expression with Orochimaru, showing he wasnt in his right frame of mind at the moment and he was being overcome with vengeance and Orochimaru's influence, the curse mark. I feel this also is seen from Sakura's point of view not just the readers..its foreshadowing his descent into darkness.
Getting back to my point.. He wasnt treating her like garbage! He frustrated at his own lack of power and just so happened to take his frustrations out on the nearest person...Sakura.. and dont forget Naruto, he fought him to appease his inferiority complex at the time. Let's not forget he was a pre teen boy who was dealing with so much for a someone his age and to have your lack of power rubbed in your face by the very person who took everything from you would have made anybody lash out...and let's be real here..how many times has any person lashed out at even people they love because of anger? Not saying it's right, but it happens.🤷♀️
Plus after Naruto and Sasuke's fight Kakashi comes in and lectures Sasuke about having new precious people..and guess who he thinks of along with Naruto..
SAKURA! Imagine that the girl he supposedly doesn't care about and treats like garbage is on his list of precious people..
I wonder if Antis mean when Sasuke thanked her and knocked her out so she wouldn't follow him or scream for help to stop him?🤔
Okay so I always say this..if Sasuke treated her like garbage or didn't care why would he stand and listen to her confession..not only that but he actually spoke back to her..explaining his reasons for leaving.
Sakura is pouring her heart out to him and it does affect him..make no mistake, at the bottom it shows Sasuke with a blacked out pannel..which shows the impact that Sakuras words had on him. In fact he cares about her enough to say he doesnt remember calling her annoying..because at this point in time she is no longer that loud, bratty girl she was when they first made genin..she was a precious friend and comrade to Sasuke. Then we find out he does remember because what does he call her after she asks to help him with his vengeance and abandoning the village and her family and friends with him and confessing her undying love to him.. he says "you're still annoying" showing her he does remember.. so why did he call her that after saying he didn't remember calling her that only minutes earlier? Maybe because..it was the only way to deter the current conversation so he didn't have to answer her..or maybe because she had gotten to his heart through her words so much..that it almost made him falter.. and that annoyed him..maybe both.
Then the fateful Thank you..
Honestly if Sasuke didn't care he wouldn't of had this little heartfelt goodbye with Sakura..he would've knocked her out the second she tried to talk him out of it and left her there...but no he let her say her piece and he said his..even kishimoto mentioned this felt like a conversation between lovers.. Sakura confessed her love and while Sasuke didnt confess back he also didn't say he didn't feel the same either..I feel at this point not only was he still too young but he was still too goal oriented and scarred and hurt to except her love or even explore if he felt the same way about her, which is why he probably didnt deny or comfirm. Sasuke knocks her unconscious gently and then carries her to a bench..if he didn't care or treated her like trash he wouldn't left her on the ground and knocked her out long ago.
Now shippuden is a crazy roller coaster for Sasusaku fans..but even so I still dont feel he treated her like trash..
The first reunion is rough..Sasuke has been isolated for two years letting his hatred burn with no distractions so he's obviously colder. Now I hear antis all the time swear that Sasusaku is an abusive relationship.. Now my favorite rebuttal is " How can their relationship be abusive when their not even in a relationship"! At this point in time Sasuke and Sakura are technically enemies..now Sakura and Naruto may still see him as a friend but..they still know to be cautious around him as if he were an enemy..they even know they might have to fight him and drag him back by force.
Antis also love to use the "Murder" attempts to trash the ship. I use quotations because like I said earlier they are technically enemies at this point and it was Sakura who initiated combat each time and Sasuke literally just defended himself..Sakura and Naruto..as far as Sasuke was concerned were just in his way of vengeance and trying to get involved in his business and stop his goal..so of course he tried to stop them by any means necessary. At that point he didn't see them as friends anyway
Now during the land of iron Sasuke had fallen so victim in the curse of hatred ( yes it's a real canon thing so dont try to write it off) but even at his lowest he still didnt hurt Sakura at first sight..he attacked when he knew Sakura was there to take him out when she hesitated to kill Karin. We know this because if Sasuke really just wanted to kill everyone in his path he would've tried to kill Sakura on sight..I mean after all he did hate the village and everyone in it at the time right? He did express his desire later to kill Kakashi right? Didnt he boast about how he'll turn everyone's laughs into screams of anguish?
Yet he didn't try to hurt Sakura until he learned of her motive.. he saw her hesitate.. then he tried to kill her..because there would be no reason to come up behind her in a sneak attack..to trick her so he could kill her while her back was turned as some antis say..no Sasuke was way stronger than her at the point..stronger than most jonin and even took on all five kage and didn't die..there is no reason he would need to trick Sakura to kill her.. so he did want her to join him at first then he saw her true motive and struck before she could.
Again he wasnt treating her like trash she was just in the way of his goal and tried to stop him with deadly force...plus he was so twisted by hatred and Obito that nothing really mattered to him at that point not even himself really. Like I said these are the best times for the ship but we have to think of everything Sasuke endured. Especially mentally.
On a side note..
I think i need to point out that Sasuke treated Naruto far worse than he treated anyone else in the series, calling him names, expressing the wish to kill him a few times, and actually attempting to kill him more than a few times ..and he called him his best friend so if you wanna get on a ship for being toxic or treating the other like trash..look at that ship before you point fingers at Sasusaku..
Also for the antis who complain about Sasuke or Sakura being terrible characters and hating them..remember Gaara is a very beloved character and great kage and he use to kill people to make himself feel alive so much in fact his sand reeked of blood but the fandom let it go..Neji almost killed Hinata over something that wasnt even her fault and talked down on others telling them they were born losers and they cant change that.. but he changed and all is forgotten..the fandom forgives.. Obito is literally responsible for Naruto being an orphan and ostracized by the village but he changed and helps out a bit in the war..Naruto forgives him..the fandoms applauds it.
Sakura..said something rude once when she was twelve, and had a super crush on a boy when she was twelve that turned to genuine love that she never gave up on, was kinda annoying because she was twelve.. wasnt that strong because she comes from civilian parents and had no one to teach her anything at a young age like her peers..she changes all of those (minor) flaws..fandom never forgives..wont forget hates her.
Sasuke..one of the most tortured souls of the series..was made to watch his family get murdered by his own brother over and over was now alone and wanted vengeance..achieves it find out his brother was ordered to do it by his own village everything he knows is a lie..a higher up stole all his clansmen eyes and ordered the slaughter on his family.. kills him and attacks everyone out of pure rage because basically his own birthplace and the whole government system screwed him over.. he seeks vengeance for said screw over..finally comes to his senses..again..no one forgives..fandom: he needs to suffer more.. 🙄
Anyways back on track in the war arc antis love to say Sasuke didn't care about anyone but Naruto.. first off..there's a literal war going on so he's kinda busy trying to keep the world from ending and not dying so.. yeah. But we find out later he does still care on some level.
When Naruto calls him out when he said he only saved Sakura and Kakashi because they were next to Naruto.. then Naruto counters and reminds him of the bridge when they were fighting Haku..when his body moved on it's own.
Then Sasuke got real quiet and his eyes are blocked by his hair so we cant see his expression..telling us..Naruto was right!
I also knew it was BS because if he only wanted to save Naruto he would've and knocked everyone else out of the way.
Another thing antis spout is he was mean to Sakura when she asked what was going outside the susanoo to which he replied " why do u wanna know you cant do anything".
Again I'll admit it was very blunt..Sasuke needs to work on his tone yes..but again..he wasnt wrong.. he wasnt treating her like garbage..he was bluntly telling her the truth in a very dire situation. They literally, at the time, were the last four people on earth..so his bluntness was understandable.
There is another scene before the infinite tsykoyomi that shatters the illusion Sasuke doesnt care once again.. when he first told Sakura to be on guard when she was healing Kakashi's eye..then later when Naruto pops back up and Sakura is asking Maruto a qu6about how he restored Kakshi's eye he yells " I told you to be on gaurd....Naruto" obviously he didnt tell Naruto..which he himself points out he didn't tell him..so it lead you to believe he was talking to Sakura again..since she was the one distracted again.😉
Now when the second confession happens you can see Sasuke obviously was impacted again by Sakura's words..so much his foot was shaking and we get a full panel of it shaking. Then the infamous " You're Annoying" again with a different face..almost a pained fake smile. Then he puts her in a genjutsu.
Now most Antis say he denied her when he said he didn't know why she loved him and didn't have a reason to love her..but Kakashi jumps in and says the line " you only need a reason to hate someone"..which is true. Sasuke even says he knocked her out so she would follow and get in the way like last time..last time they almost killed her remember.. and he admitted that her feelings are chains from a failed past..and even thought of his family while talking about Sakura..
So Sasuke again listened to Sakura confession..acknowledged her feelings..even thinking about his family as he did acknowledge her love..and he admitted he knocked her out so she wouldn't get between him and naruto..knowing last time she almost died...hmm weird for Sasuke considering he was still under the curse of hatred and he apparently doesn't care about Sakura..
Then lastly Sasuke's apology.. every anti said it was too simple and Sakura gave in to easy. Firstly even though Sasuke probably only indirectly hurt Sakura by going down the wrong path and leaving her and the village he actually never hurt her intentionally like he did Naruto..Kakashi..The Five Kage..Hell even almost killing Karin, then giving her a half assed apology, imo she definitely deserved more than a sorry js.. but he felt the need to sincerely apologize to Sakura..and Sakura even egged him on saying "sorry for what" and he replied with everything I've done until now..
Out of everyone he apologized to Sakura..he hurt her yes..but even Naruto..his best friend, the one who got his arm blown off by him, didn't get an apology. Or Kakashi the man who was his teacher and mentor who he tried to avidly kill, and helped get him outta jail and wonder free didn't get an apology...but Sakura did..and idc who says otherwise..that means something
Sasuke even shared a forehead poke a special gesture shared between him and his once beloved older btother.. just with her.
Everyone can say what they want about this ship but I know Sasuke always cared to some extent and he never treated Sakura like she was garbage. Sasuke had problems yes..anyone would in his situation..he made bad choices..turned his back on his home and friends but he never really stopped caring and so many scenes in the manga obviously show that. After all no one valued love more than the Uchiha right. Sakura's unwavering love, I feel is also something to be admired not mocked.. she went from a young girl with a shallow crush to a woman who never gave up on the one she loved and it played off in the end and that's powerful..honestly the world needs more love like that...this world is so full of pettiness and hate that unconditional love is refreshing.
