Hanbin was accused, Hanbin was cleared
Wonho was accused, Wonho was cleared
Woojin was accused. Woojin is cleared
Illhoon was accused. I believe Illhoon too will be cleared.
I can finally speak out on of the things that has been bothering me since the news broke out. At the time it was very scary and stressful as we were dealing with the wildfires in our state at the same time so I was already having a hard time. Woojin was my bias and I never believed he would do something like that. I know everyone says to believe the victim but innocent until proven guilty is still valid and victims lie, it happens often and we all know how fans and antis get sometimes, just like Wonho and Hanbin people will do anything to throw idols under the bus.
The scariest thing for me to see was how quick everyone was in defending Hanbin and Wonho and how quick the same people threw Woojin away, immediately spreading hate and sending death threat and calling him fake and all these names and just obnoxious behaiver. I understand we were all upset but you can’t just believe someone right away with no evidence and so many holes in their story. And sometimes it’s best to wait it out and then make a decision.
It wasn’t just Woojin that was caught up in the whirlwind, Jungwoo, Chanwoo, Hongjoong, Seonghwa and a few more that I can’t remember were also names thrown out from so many people. Their biggest thing was when they claimed he was a member from the big three, had a w and two o’s in his name. This is not a good statement because for one thing Woojin left Stray Kids and JYP so not only was he out of the big 3 but he’s not the only one with those letters in his name. Jungwoo and Chanwoo are also under the big three and have a w and two o’s in their names.
Back when it was so big on Twitter the Jungwoo tags were all stating that Woojin was innocent but the Stray Kids tags were saying he was guilty. Even the supposed person themselves posted one last tweet before delete the account stating it was all fake but no one took that screenshot so people were led to believe it was all fake
And then on the bullying, I’ve seen a lot of videos saying ‘this idol bullying this group’ or ‘this group bullying this member for 8 minutes’ and multiple videos being taken out of context and people claiming that since Woojin doesn’t speak a lot in some videos it’s proof he doesn’t get along and the member don’t like him. Y’all that’s not how things work. Just because you aren’t fully engaged in an activity or if you aren’t getting along doesn’t make you a bully or a bad person, Woojin was going through his own shit and idols lives are hard enough, if they feel out of it sometimes it’s not okay for us to immediately accuse them of such things like ‘they don’t like their members, they don’t get along, they are bullies.’
Idols live together and are around each other often so what you might see as “bullying” might just be them goofing off I mean ffs there is a video titled ‘ATEEZ bullying Seonghwa’ and y’all fine with that because they are only goofing around and teasing each other but you automatically assume from any footage or out of context video of Woojin playing with and teasing the members that he’s a bully. Why are you putting double standards on this? Bullying is a very serious accusation and rumors and spreading false information or any information with no evidence can ruin an idols careers. Tara and Co-Ed School unfortunately we’re big examples of this. The Tara bullying scandal ruined those girls and all the rumors and accusations caused Co-Ed School to disband before anyone could say everything was false. You have to be careful with what you say and what you hear and see cause if it’s not true and everyone believes it is you ruined a whole idols career before it can even be fixed.
Ok so, yes I know everyone says “the victim is always right” and it’s okay if you want to believe that but remember there are two sides to every story and both parties are valid until further evidence or actual evidence and you are able to prove whether or not something actually happened. I had some other things to say but I’ll let those slide and it doesn’t matter not because Woojin is innocent and it’s great news. I’m so relieved because he was my bias and I was so heartbroken when he left and when I heard about the trouble he was going through. I was so afraid to even say Woojin because everyone was censering it, acting like it was a bad name and that’s not fair on Woojin himself and it’s also not fair on the other idols named Woojin because there are at least 5 Woojins so for people to be doing that is like, you’re invalidating the other Woojin’s just because you think one Woojin is bad. Seeing people tag Woojin like w***** or w**jin and woojail and tw woojin is really upsetting and that’s not okay, that’s like bullying, calling him woojail is not okay at all. Pretending his name is a trigger when it’s not and if his name was a trigger than all the idols named Woojin would have that and censoring his name, again you’re invalidating all the other woojins. And everyone that says “ot8 or get the fuck out” or “if you still support Woojin fuck off” like..he’s literally fucking innocent. It was a bunch of Brazilian antis that started all the lies and rumors and after all the stories that don’t make sense and people still think he’s guilty and they are still sending him hate and being absolute assholes towards him. If you don’t want to believe that he’s innocent, if you don’t want to like him fine. Don’t talk about him don’t make a bunch of woojail posts, don’t send him hate or death threats because you’re 1. Making things worse and 2. Care enough about him to make his life miserable which is exactly what antis do and what those antis did. It pisses me off and upsets me how fast everyone just turned on him and they continue to bully him and send him unnecessary hate. Also it’s ok to tag Stray kids and Woojin because he was a member of Stray Kids so don’t give people shit for tagging Stray Kids.
So I’m gonna end this posts educating y’all about the multiple Woojins and it’s okay to say and spell Woojin you guys. It’s alright, you won’t get in trouble. So Woojin, my boy who I miss so so much Kim Woojin who was in Stray Kids, there’s my Thot Woojin from Target, an amazing rapper btw, I do believe there is a Woojin in AB6IX and of course there is the hot Woojin from My.st who just has this whole vibe to him that is dead sexy. Also the Woojin from Teenteen/Ghost9 and also also your gurl found a sexy man, despite me not being into body builders, I found a man on Insta named Kim Woojin and he is definitely a fucking snaCC. So thanks and enjoy the Woojins. I can get back to making my memes again. I’m just sad that I believed and jumped to conclusions and deleted some Woojin posts. But I stopped myself before I deleted all of them
ALSO ALSO recently it’s been pointed out how did Woojin has been and someone described it as what Jonghyun looked like before he left us. Woojin is my boy and I’ve been worrying about him ever since he left Stray Kids and I swear on god Hui and my camera roll if he hurts himself in any way or we lose another wonderful person I will blame Bangchan. I will blame Felix, I will blame JYP and I will blame everyone that started the rumors, the lies, the people that sent Woojin mean messages, death threats, bullying him because you don’t need to like an idol no matter what they do but bullying them and sending unnecessary hate to them is not ok no matter what they did. Even if it’s bad just ignore it because you sending them mean comments doesn’t make you any better. I was already pissed off at fans and everyone else and Bangchan and Felix for all the mean comments and everything else they were doing and I’ll be even more pissed off if this whole situation was too much for him on top of his depression and he ended his life.
Ok you know what, I’m so fucking pissed off over these posts I’m seeing on tumblr and I’m upset and I’m still having thoughts on whether or not I should post this but you know what. I don’t care. It’s my blog, it’s my opinion and it’s my feelings that I need to get off my chest. Kim Woojin is innocent and if I get any hate of any kind my stomach will do flips but y’all should know better especially if you don’t agree with me so have fun I guess I’ll probably delete or block you so I don’t have to hear your meany-ness. It’s my opinion, my post and my blog and if you don’t like it then I have nothing to say to you.

“Bao! Open the door, God damn it!”
Bao cursed in both Korean and Japanese as she placed her headphones that hung around her neck, on her desk. She stood up then stormed over to the door, revealing an angry Jinhwan. The rapper rolled her eyes, unimpressed by the glare that he was sending her.
“The fuck you want?” she growled, hand on the doorknob tightening. Bao had no patience to deal with him or anyone for that matter.
“Excuse you!” he exclaimed, pushing his way into her studio. “Oh hell no! Get out! I’m working. I don’t have time for whatever the fuck this is,” she followed behind him, shouting.
The older stood in the middle of her room. He faced her, arms folded over his chest. He tilted his head up slightly to look her in the eyes, and if it weren’t for her sour mood, she’d have laughed.
“What?” she asked him, brow raised. Bao mirrored his stance, tilting her head down slightly. She could see him bristle.
“Do you know what day it is?” Jinhwan asked through his teeth.
“Please don’t tell me you came here to scold me over forgetting someone’s birthday. I’m sorry, okay?” Bao spit back. She stocked over to her chair and dropped in it, then turned to face her computer. She still had so much to do, seeing as the company kept sending back everything.
“The fuck? No, it’s no one’s birthday,” the vocalist said, He reached over and spun Bao’s chair around, forcing her to face him.
Bao’s features settled into a deadly calm expression, and she could see Jinhwan subtly flinch. She was about to lose her cool, and if so, she wasn’t responsible for any injuries.
“Then what?” she hissed out, running her tongue over her teeth.
“It’s Wednesday.” Bao blinked at his answer. (And?)
“You haven't been home in two days. Your phone is off, and I know for a fact you haven’t eaten, slept, or even showered.” Jinhwan scrunched up his nose at the last part.
“Fuck you,” she said, pushing him away. “I’ve eaten and slept.”
“Passing out and power naps don’t count. And I’m sure that if I check your mini fridge, all I’ll find is soju. And I know you hate ordering takeout, so, no. You haven’t,” Jinhwan said, flicking her forehead.
Bao let out a growl, baring her teeth. “I’ll kill you.”
“Not if you’re dead. Which is what you’ll be if you don’t start taking care of yourself. I honestly thought that I wouldn’t have to deal with this after Hanbin left, but you’re just the same if not worse,” the shorter glared at her.
“Once again. Fuck you,” Bao said, turning her chair back around.
“How the fuck does Hanbin kiss you with that dirty mouth of yours?” Jinhwan asked. Then with all his might, he rolled her away from her desk. Standing in front of it, he faced her, hands on hips.
“I really will kill you,” she threatened, getting up.
“Bao. I’m serious. You’re overworking yourself. The last time this happened, you passed out mid dance practice,” Jinhwan said in a condescending tone.
“I was fine.”
“You were being lifted in the air when you went limp. Bobby and Yunhyeong barely had time to catch you before you dropped head first onto the ground. Do you really want to make Donggie cry again?” Bao rolled her eyes huffing.
“Listen. I get it. You guys are worried, but I can’t take a break now,” Bao said, slouching back in her seat. (She was too tired to stay standing. Maybe she did need a nap.)
“And why not?” Jinhwan asked, voice softening. Bao saw the moment when Jinhwan realized her stress levels.
“I was supposed to make my comeback by the start of October,” Bao said, running her hands through her messy hair.
“Is it postponed?” Jinhwan asked, confused.
“Not yet. I’ve shown the company all of my songs, except the one with Changbin, ‘cause we’re still working on it.”
“And?”
“All of them have been sent back. The bastards want me to fix them! All of them!” Bao shouted, her anger from before resurfacing.
“What the hell?” Jinhwan asked in disbelief.
“Yeah. They said that if I can’t give them something that they like, then they’ll give my comeback slot to someone else. I swear to God, J. I’m this close to grabbing a bat and smashing the windows to their fucking Lambos,” Bao hissed, holding her index finger and thumb together. (There was no room in between.) Jinhwan swallowed hard. Bao needed to be under surveillance, just in case.
“Okay, let's not make the reason you can’t have a comeback be that you were arrested,” Jinhwan said, holding his hands up as if to placate her.
“I’m not changing anything, Oppa,” Bao whispered, dropping her head into her hands. “The songs tell a story. My story. If I change even the slightest bit, then the whole thing is ruined.”
Jinhwan frowned at the girl. He was never able to understand Bao’s and Hanbin’s passion and borderline obsession with their music, but he could easily see how much it meant to them. The older sighed, then crouched down in front of her.
“Then don’t change anything. It’ll just be another one of your ‘fuck yous’ to the company,” Jinhwan said.
Bao looked up and squinted at him. “As much as that would be true, if I don’t change anything, I don’t get a comeback. And I can’t do that to everyone who worked so hard on this,” she said, glaring at her hands. Too many people were involved for it to get scraped.
“Then get Bobby to help you retell your story. Hell, even go to Hanbin, if you need to. He knows exactly what the company looks for. I know that in a way this would be you giving up, but you can always upload the originals onto Soundcloud. Let the fans hear the your story,” Jinhwan suggested.
Bao licked her dry lips, thinking over the idea. She hated that for her to have a voice, she had to be a muted version of herself. But Jinhwan was right. This might be the only way. Bao nodded, looking up at the older.
“Thanks, Oppa,” Bao gave a lazy smile.
“Of course. All of us are here for you. You don’t have to do this alone, okay?” Jinhwan looked at Bao as she took a breath.
“Right.” She pressed her lips into a line, giving a nod.
“How about this?” Jinhwan started. He got up and leaned over her computer and saved her work then turned it off.
“Yah!”
“As of right now, I’m taking over as unofficial interim leader. I’ll focus on the group while you focus on what needs to get changed and more importantly yourself,” Jinhwan suggested, grabbing Bao’s bag and then putting her stuff inside.
“What?” she asked him, confused by the word.
Jinhwan seemed to have noticed that the word was new for Bao. “Temporary,” he said.
“Ah,” Bao nodded, understanding. She hadn’t heard that word being used.
“So as interim leader, I want you to go home, shower, eat, and sleep. Then we’ll get Bobby to help you, yeah?” Jinhwan asked as he moved to the door then turned to look at Bao who was still in her seat.
Jinhwan had hated the idea of him possibly being the leader of the group. Refusing vehemently. But here he was, offering to unofficially step in as leader while she worked on her album. For once she was at a loss for words, and not due to the language.
Jinhwan smirked, noticing this. “Just say ‘yes’.”
Bao rolled her eyes, letting out an over exaggerated sigh. “Fine.”

YG and their never-ending fuckery
Disclaimer: I am in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM condoning YG’s actions. I am also in no way condoning drug use.
Hanbin’s departure from iKon is not only sad but it is also very disappointing in my personal opinion. I personally do not think that this is enough to expel an artist from your company, no matter how much money they bring in or not. I PERSONALLY, in my own mental state got pissed off when I saw this all go down.
It angers me even more considering the horrible way YG handled Burning Sun. You can’t just say “Oh bad boy, now here is a BlackPink comeback to distract you all.” On top of that, YG still has T.O.P. as one fo their signed artists. iKon is arguably an iconic group and very popular, but they are not at the level BigBang is. It just shows that the bigger the cash cow, the more YG cares. It shows hypocrisy that isn’t surprising in the Kpop industry.
(legal and kinda-unbiased opinion ahead)
HOWEVER, bitching and crying will only get you so far. Drug offenses in South Korea are a serious crime never the less, and the social parameters are even worse
Quoted in the Guardian, Yoon Se-jin, head of the narcotics crime investigation division at Gyeonggi Nambu provincial police agency said, “Weed smokers will be punished according to the Korean law, even if they did so in countries where smoking marijuana is legal. There won’t be an exception.” South Korean laws allow for up to five years of prison time for just possessing weed, and that applies when you are in the country AND OUTSIDE OF IT. The severity goes up when you get into harder drugs such as cocaine, methamphetamines, etc.
While technically Hanbin did nothing wrong because he technically didn’t buy the drugs, he’s still subject to the social taboo in South Korea. The country used to pride itself as being “drug-free” but within recent years there has been an influx in drug-related arrests and incidents of smuggling. To South Korean officials they are in a drug crisis. However, to some Westerners, we don’t see that sense of urgency or dread.
What makes it even more wrong considering the drug laws for YG to terminate his contract is that- AND I REPEAT- YG STILL HAS T.O.P AS A CONTRACTED ARTIST. That means that not only does he get royalties from his music, but he also gets a salary and royalties from residual endorsements ON TOP of his military salary (I believe that’s what they call it). An artist who ACTUALLY SMOKED WEED but brought YG a ton of money versus an artist who didn’t kiss his ass and brought in a lot of money but not as much as the other? Did he actually think we wouldn’t notice? Legally YG can terminate the contract without T.O.P being there if he violated an honor code or clause. Do I need to put a “really bitch?” meme in here? YG is not being excused in any way, shape, or form, but from a legal standpoint, I can definitely see why they did what they did because Hanbin violated their honor code/clause and attempted to engage in illegal activity that the government is in a frenzy about. From that same standpoint, I also see the immediate hypocrisy by still maintaining T.O.P’s contract when he actually did engage.
THIS IS FROM A POINT OF VIEW THAT I TOOK AS SOMEONE WHO WORKS IN THE LEGAL INDUSTRY. SOMETIMES YOUR PERSONAL OPINIONS CANNOT GET IN THE WAY. I STATED HOW I FELT AS A PERSON, AND I STATED HOW I FELT AS A POTENTIAL LEGAL REPRESENTATIVE.
(back to my personal opinion)
The best thing that we, as Kpop fans can do, is lobby and push for change. YG’s other idols shouldn’t be punished for this, but in the end, the change will only come once YG realizes that Korean fans only make up a portion of their sales and revenue. International fans and those Kfans who are equally outraged should take a direct hit at YG Entertainment by hitting them in the pockets. Their stock is already down -4.05%, and making their stocks drop even further would help the situation. After Burning Sun we saw this drop, but YG pushed an early BlackPink comeback which made them bounce back steadily.
That. Should. Not. Happen. Again.
Do not stand for YG’s hypocrisy and let him use his other artists to sweep his fuckery under the rug once again. I personally heard A LOT about Burning Sun when it came out and how big of a POS YG is. THEN BlackPink had their comeback/Coachella and he was back on top. Now I barely hear about Burning Sun.
DO NOT LET THIS BE A BLACKOUT. YG sucks but he is a businessman first and foremost. He’s going to find a way to bounce back from this unless there is an immediate backlash. Use your voice, protest, boycott, do whatever you need to do, but complaining online (kinda like how I’m doing, but I also deleted all my BlackPink and Winner songs off my Apple Music and Spotify so) is only going to get you so far. You need to physically act, and in the end, the change will come eventually. Don’t give him more money. Take away his livelihood.
International fans have more power than they realize and they need to use it.
End of the rant: I really truly hope that Papa Psy comes and helps. That’d be amazing.
I will be ignoring comments on this post and any messages about this post that are in any way, shape, or form negative will be deleted.

No Speed Limit | Chapter 1
Summary: Some people live to race while others race to live. When an uptown girl’s and street racer’s worlds collide, their lives are bound to change. For the better or worse, it’s hard to tell. In-between rivalry and unwanted sparks, there’s definitely a bumpy road ahead (with no speed limit).
Words: 2.6k
Chapter index
Tumblr media
Kim Hanbin wasn't particularly fond of his reputation but he disliked even more that those Gangnam kids treated him like dirt.
In the Ring, this depraved outskirt of Seoul he was known as the Ringmaster's favourite, a puppy jumping at every order. The rumours also said he ran away from home by stealing his father's car at the fragile age of sixteen because that was when he first appeared on the horizon among the local gangs. People whispered behind his back that he not only dealt with drugs but lived on them too. They claimed he once beat someone half-dead because of a scratch on his car.
Lies. All of them. But nobody had to know.
Hanbin didn't bother correcting those who were in the wrong. Now that he was both feared and admired most people at least let him be. They gushed about him when he was there and only talked shit behind his back. There was only a small circle of people whom he had trusted with his life and who know enough about him.
However, one thing was true out of all those gossips running around about him: he was the best driver in the Ring and undeniably one of the bests in all Seoul. Cops had only caught him once during his rookie years and never again since, he was too good, too fast for that. And as somebody who lived off his driving abilities, he had to be if he wanted to survive in this cold, harsh world. That much he has learned since he was on his own.
He had worked  hard to earn himself a title here in the Ring, so when that almighty Jeon Seungyeon waltzed in here as if he owned the place, as if it was his innate right to get bows from left and right, he was pissed to say the least. That rich guy thought he was better than anyone just because he had money and a fancy, expensive car that could break in two at the first scratch. He had probably never knew deprivation since he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
“Come again?” Hanbin slowly, unimpressed, borderline bored looked up at the big bulk of a man, taller and older than him. He didn't care about all that as he shrugged that perfectly manicured hand off his shoulder. Guys like him always just act tough and badass until they run back to hide behind their mothers' skirts. Hanbin has faced so much worse than him, so he won't be intimidated by a glare and flashy words.
“Are you deaf?” Seungyeon huffed, anger building up in him slowly, the vein popping at his neck.
His little crew laughed at his poor joke from behind and Hanbin rolled his eyes and put a hand on Bobby's chest stopping him in the middle of getting up to beat up the cool kids for messing in their territories. But Hanbin knew better than to make a scene, it would only benefit the politician's son.
“No but you're talking nonsense,” he answered coldly, eyes shooting daggers at the taller man.
Around them he heard the onlookers whispering, guessing the possible outcomes of this sudden encounter. There had been talks that the newly elected Gangnam mayor's son goes around in the suburbs looking for trouble, picking on people and not a lot of them dared to say no. But Hanbin had not much to lose anyway besides his pride and beloved car.
“So you don't want to race me? Ah are you afraid? What a coward,” the guy scoffed, his tone degrading as if he was talking to a stupid child. But if one of them was stupid, it was him with his ridiculous gelled hair, wearing a designer leather jacket and Rolex in a neighbourhood where people would have killed for there. And here he was, acting like a little prince so far from home, faway from his father's surveillance challenging the best of the Ring.
“Afraid of you? Hardly but I'm not a fan of wasting my time on newbies who think just because they can drive their fancy little car, they can race, too,” Hanbin answered as dry as the sand in the Sahara and he turned back to his group of friends sitting by his cars, clinking their beers after the regular Friday night race. Hanbin didn't even have a chance to celebrate today's victory or gather the cash, his share of the Ringmaster's profit from bets because Seungyeon butted into his business almost as soon as he got out of his car.
And now that annoying asshole grabbed his shoulder yanking him back.
“What did you just say, short stuff?” he hollered like an attention-craving child and Hanbin swatted his hand away irritatedly. He had some anger management issues in the past but he knew well this guy wasn't worth of starting a fight.
“Who's the deaf now?” he snorted and standing up straight, eyes fierce and wild, he croaked a brow at the rich kid. “I don't have to prove myself to you. Everyone here knows I'm the best. So if you want me to race with you,so you can get that glory you dream of, you have to offer something worthy of my time.”
For a long minute of two, they were staring at each other's eyes, unwavering, like two predators showing off dominance. It was a wordless battle and their audience of dozens of thugs, rascals or just young adults wanting to have fun hold their breath back waiting for something to happen. And Hanbin had never been one for backing off, for giving up, so it wasn't even a surprise when the big mouth Seungyeon sighed deeply in the end.
“Fine,” he shrugged and looked around, eyes searching for something, someone in the crowd. When he found what he was looking for, he flipped his arm towards a certain direction while his gaze settled on the current best of the Ring. “You can have my fierce little sister for tonight.”
First, there was silence, an awkward laughter and then a few people started whistling when it turned out he wasn't kidding by the stern look on his face.
“Why would I want anything fro-” from your little sister? Hanbin wanted to ask shaking his head but the words froze onto his throat when a girl, tearing herself apart from a barely adult guy, lunged at Seungyeon from behind.
“I'm not an asset, you asshole!” She spit on him furiously, long, black hair swirling in the air around her and Hanbin would have been a liar to claim his breath didn't hitch for a moment there. She looked like a beautiful, wild amazon, almost unreal but unlike her brother she didn't seem too outstanding, too Gangnam-like. She looked like someone who could get mixed up in their crowd. She wasn't too young, probably only a few years younger than Hanbin himself but still.
“Shut up, bitch,” her brother growled at her unapologetically and one of his friends yanked her back. The brutal way he treated her gave one more reason to Hanbin to hate this guy. “He won't win anyway, so you don't have to worry that he will dirty you.”
The crowd laughed, a few eww-d and for a moment Hanbin's eyes met with the girl's in the middle of this chaos. Her dark orbs were full of fire, pride and the kind of yearning for freedom that he has known well. HIs gaze slowly wandered downwards from the cupid bow of her plump, carmine red mouth, through the slim neck to her curvy body covered only in a crop top, jeans shorts and leather jacket. It was indeed a gorgeous sight but Hanbin didn't consider the offer because of her looks.
He wasn't that unattractive to not get laid if he didn't want to, a lot of girls were actually pretty willing just because of his mysterious bad boy reputation too, But offering his sister as a reward was far too big of a face of this guy. He was beyond confident, to the point it would be called arrogance and cockiness. Or else he wouldn't have offered his sister, right? And oh how Hanbin wished to wipe that confident grin off his face, to see him dancing back on his words, so he grinned wide at the last remark.
“Oh but it's not fun if you don't get your hands dirty,” he played with the word and tapped his fingers on his chin thinking before agreeing. “You know what? If you're that impatient to humiliate yourself today, in that case, we can start. Till the water tower over there and back.”
The triumphant smile on Seungyeon's face was ridiculous. Nobody has heard about his skills, so he couldn't have been good no matter how much his monkeys hyped him up. A good car didn't make the good driver, it was the other way around: a good driver could make a good race with any car. So it didn't matter that rich kid had the newest model of a car with a fabric roof that could be folded down and Hanbin still drove his black Nissan that had too many years and repairs in it. It didn't matter because unlike the other guy, he knew his car in and out and he was reborn on these streets, so he knew every corner and every traffic light.
“I will show you who should be humiliated, you pawn. If I win, you'll admit that I'm better in front of everyone,” Seungyeon grimaced as if he was disgusted just by looking at a ragged guy like Hanbin but the fact that he wanted to prove to be better told enough about his insecurity problems. Hanbin didn't say a word, just let him make a show, turning to the onlookers for applause while he got in the car. “Everybody heard the conditions, right?”
The audience cheered loudly and on cue every soul left the road to stand by the side and not in the way. Hanbin's friends patted him on the shoulder as they cleared from the hoof of his car. As he sat in the driver's seat, securing the safety belt, Bobby leaned over the window from outside and smacked him playfully.
“Are you out of your mind? Racing to get into a girl's pants? Are you that desperate, man? At least you should have asked for his Rolex.”
“Shit, you're right,” Hanbin laughed and they exchanged a knowing look with his best friend. Then Bobby gave him thumbs up with a huge grin and jogged off the road to join the others.
“Good luck, oppa!” One of the girls shrieked and the driver scoffed.
“I don't need luck.”
It had been a while since he hadn't believed in such things as luck or fate. He only believed in hard work that would pay its price. He started up the engine that growled like a hungry predator and he drove his car parallel to the white expensive one. Seungyeon grinned at him from behind his wheel with probably leather driver gloves on his hands and Hanbin almost laughed. The show-off! But he just glared at him coldly before looking ahead.
A girl was walking in front of their buzzing cars ready to take off her top to signal the beginning of the race when someone's shouting stopped her movement:
“Soyeon baby, you should go!” The guy from earlier who treated the girl - Soyeon apparently - like a ragdoll, now kept pushing her towards the road with a shiteating grin on his face.
Hanbin rolled his eyes and came to the conclusion that the girl couldn't have been any better than her brother as she was just there letting him do this. She must have lived for the show, especially with how quickly she agreed. The other girl left the field with a pout on her mouth as Soyeon stopped on the middle, separating line. She gave each driver a glare that would have killed them if it could. It was impossible to tell whom she wanted to win as she shrugged off her leather jacket slowly.
With his hand on the gear shift, Hanbin's Adam apple bobbed at the sight of the newly exposed skin and his eyes travelled down the beautiful tanned skin as the girl lifted the piece of clothing high. He shook his head slightly to get composed. He couldn't have let to get distracted, not now. It was a race for his pride after all. Not for the girl, he reminded himself.
The moment the jacket shot down, he stepped on the gas pedal and enjoyed the acceleration of the car. He switched between the clutch, shift, gas again and again with coordination movements and soon he went way beyond the speed limit. His dark car became one with shadows, going forward as relentless as one dark horse of the apocalypse.
In the rear mirror he saw Seungyeon not much behind, not enough to switch lanes before they reached the first traffic lights. Since Hanbin's lane was originally for the opposite direction, if anyone wanted to turn right when they reach the crossing, they could collide. And as they approached the corner, he noticed the huge truck just in time to step on the break, pull the wheel aside and get in the lane barely behind Seungyeon. He could almost hear the other guy's laughter. Stupid, if it was for him, he probably wouldn't have been able to stop the collision. As the truck passed them by, Hanbin went back to the other lane and sped up until he was in line with the white car. Meter by meter they were getting closer to the water tower and Hanbin knew well he had to drift if he didn't want to run into the fence around it. But since he was pretty good at that, he let the rich kid ahead with a smile as he slowed down a bit and while the guy struggled with a Y-turn, he pulled the handbrake into on position and let the car's back-wheels back out, turning the car completely around in lightning speed. But just as it reached 180 degrees, he switched the handbrake off and stepped on the gas pedal again shooting out in the right direction, toward the finish line. It was funny, watching Seungyeon trying to catch up with the dirt his car left behind but he had no chance. Hanbin arrived back to their original place six whole seconds earlier.
He let out a victory yell and as soon as he got out of the car, his friends and strangers alike surrounded him congratulating for another great win.
“As expected from our best,” Bobby hollered, girls screamed, guys were whooping and Hanbin took it all with a satisfied smirk.
“It was a piece of cake,” he claimed adrenaline still running wild in his veins as he got those high fives and congratulatory slaps on his arms and back. He enjoyed the joy and the attention, but his eyes were searching for his opponent, the rich guy with big mouth and even bigger ego. He wanted to see him walking away ashamed with his tail between his legs like the lapdog he was but it wasn't him whom his eyes found over the up and down jumping crowd.
Jeon Soyeon looked at him like one looks at a mystery waiting to be solved. She wasn't one of those shy girls who looked away immediately when their eyes met, she wasn't flirting either. She just merely stared back as if waiting what would be his next step.
Kim Hanbin wasn't particularly fond of his reputation and yet, sometimes he was ought to do something to keep it. So with a cold smile, he started walking towards her.

OKAY!! EMERGENCY!! my mom is forcing me to speak at an event, and to spite her i want to end my speech by saying, "here is a quote from the great philosopher Kim Han," and then say some deep thing he's said (because there's so many). do you have any i could use?
Since I don’t know at what kind of event you have to hold the speech, I’ll just post my favorite hanbin quotes and you can look for yourself if you can use any of them.
“Do not do it half-heartedly. Devote your life into it.”
“A winner is someone who gets up one more time when he is knocked down.”
“There is more to life than studying. Just do what you like.”
“I think we are able to stand here and sing because of the tears you shed for us. The happiness you felt with us, starting back from WIN. I’m so glad I became a singer and I’m so happy to meet you. We met so many people here, I think that this is a huge blessing for us. Really, thank you so much. And there is one thing we all want to say together. Well I don’t know if it will transfer over to you, but we’ll shout it together loudly. THANK YOU!”
“The gods asked me ‘won’t you regret this?’ I answered without hesitation ‘why should I regret?’. What’s left behind is either success or failure.”
“There is nothing humans can’t do. Just do it!”
“I don’t make music to make it to the charts. I’m happy even if just one person listens to our songs. I used to be fussy about the charts. I was blinded by something unnecessary. I let go of that, and it got a lot better.”
“It was like hell. But after being in hell, hell became comfortable. If I go to hell again, I think I’ll be prepared.”
“The moment they relax, I eat them up.”
“My determination has no choice but to be different from others.”
“If I were you I’d practice day and night. I would be too pissed not to. Where’s you determination? Do you really want this? Are you desperate? Your nose should be bleeding by now. You should feel so exhausted that you’d think you might die. Why do you even sleep? Why do you go to the house? Why do you rest? Why are you taking the weekends off?”
“In 10 years, I’ll be the best.”
“I want to become a person who doesn’t change even after debut.”
“Happiness, sorrow, hope, anger, desire, despair, love. What’s the meaning of these emotions that you feel only for a moment.”
“I absolutely have no regrets.”
“All I could do as a leader, is to protect the team.”
“Before 6th grade, my dream changed once every 2 days. My parents said that if my dream doesn’t change for a year then they’ll help me with that dream and that was becoming a rapper. To see that my dream did come true, I think I was lucky.”
“Our business got nothing to do with you.”
“I don’t know this games rules. But fuck it, I don’t care. I will do it my way.”
“The pain given by god, I was getting over it. Brothers that share blood and flesh I was trying to protect.”
“Hey haters, sorry, it’s my time now.”
“After ‘WIN’ ended, we went back to training. Fans sending their love, our families rooting for us and our performances. I wrote songs to cherish those memories.”
“No limit, gon touch the sky.”
“If you don’t know me, get to know me now. Korea’s music industry had no owner, but it’s mine now. If that disgusts you and you have the confidence, try to take away my leadership.
“Everyone look closely at how far I’ll come.”
“The fans are my motivation. They’re the reason I make music. I’m thankful that they experience sadness and happiness with us. They’re the people that make me make music.”
“We will become the best.”
“Life is sometimes heaven, sometimes hell. Sometimes pleasure, sometimes pain.”
“ I fell and learned how to walk on my own.”
“Giving up my youth, I ran barefoot for three years. Living each day nervous about tomorrow.I had no choice but to throw away the pressure and failure.”
“From now on I don’t want to bother about success or failure. I don’t want to think about win or lose. As long as we can bring happiness and good songs to you all then we are satisfied.”
“I don’t hate anyone. I learned from my mom that I shouldn’t hate people.”
“What are we fighting for? What do we find so funny? We are still young and naive, we just want happiness. After lots of moments of regret and the liquor glass that is emptied out along with our hearts. With the people and music that I like, this should be a satisfactory life.”
“Let’s take it slow, let’s last real long, let’s stay together until we die.”
“The reason why I can’t run away when the gun is pointing at me? The reason why I can sleep in peace during the night after dark? What am I living for? I’m living for my fam, for my fan, do this thing for my team, for myself.”
