Me, ranting excessively to my dad and brother: —and while it would make more sense for nintendo to make a new Link and story for the movie like they kind of did for the Mario one I don't know if they'll do that so they'll probably choose an existing game which is dumb because if they're doing it live action they're probably pick either twilight princess or breath of the wild even though a link to the past would make a MUCH better movie due to the looseness of the plot at certain points which would lend itself well to adaptation to film, but really if they'd done animation like everybody was hoping for they have a trilogy sitting literally right there with wind waker phantom hourglass and spirit tracks which they could make as lighthearted or intense as they'd like but they won't because it's live action and they wouldn't pick those because of the mixed reception anyway so instead we'll have to watch some strange adaptation of a game that really only works as a game and not a film—
