Nother question about the Stepford Wives of Oblivion. Are there any ways that they differ in behavior from each other? I was wondering that since you made it clear that they don’t all have the same aesthetic so they might not all act as 50’s house wife-y as Red does. Also are Huntsman and Syntax “pared up” as it where after they both get wifed, or is Syntax just like a pet to Silktea or something? (asking cause of the flower crowns pic with our spider boys in it)

Actually yes! there are several minor changes between all of them and their specific personality quirks in relation to 'wife-ing'

The most important things that a wife must have of course is unshakeable obedience to their 'Husband' (Re: Owner) being able to become mindless for said husband with minimal prompting, being oh so happy with this whole setup, happier than they've ever been in their hazily remembered past, and so in love with their husband that they simply can't concieve ever loving anyone else more.

from there they can diverge based on whoever they 'belong' to's preference (or at times, what Xiaotian has decided would 'be best' for them)

Red is the 'standard model' of course, sweet and airheaded, rarely thinking (though throuhgout the main timeline of Tyrant Prince that does steadily change as he desires to be more of use to Xiaotian and slowly starts willingly taking on 'thought' again as a way to help his husband with the plot based problems/running the city) and always happy to cuddle or give kisses.

Huntsman was sculpted into something more 'simple' since they were also lowkey messing with Sandy's head a little too it was decided that Huntsman would be best served as a sort of 'Pet Wife' for Sandy there to clean up and take care of the cats and cuddle and give kisses like any wife, but also perfectly content to lounge about with the cats and feel maybe more kin with them than he probably should.

As for Syntax he IS still thinking more than your average Wife, since much like with Spider Queen back during his initial spider-fication he's too useful to just make him another braindead pet. In one ending it's 'the only way he can be useful and thus worth anything' in the other it's just 'how happy he is to help out' but he's only used for projects that require coding, since anything tactile might mess with his muscle memory and muscle memory is always a gateway drug to remembering something they shouldn't so Syntax is just given a beaten up computer and told to work on better security measures for everyone's systems so they can't get hacked by anyone ever again. (and in the ending where he gets caught he's WAY more melancholy for the Mental torment Xiaotian and Xiaojiao put him through and straight up can't 'meditate' (re: reinforce his own brainwashing) with Huntsman and Sandy bc it gives him breakdowns about what a terrible person he supposedly is) it's a Kind Of Poly setup in that he's given to Sandy and he and Huntsman are BOTH Sandy's Pet Wives, but Sandy and Syntax didn't know eachother before this so it's tech. speaking more of a 'Huntsman has two hands for a reason' type situation. since Syntax is way more of a 'pet' than a 'wife' to Sandy's poor scrambled brain.

Spindrax is mentally very broken in her timelines, but since Xiaojiao likes her fiestyness she's more prone to jealousy and acting out, but @unseelie-robynx has already said about as much as we have on her before

Ironically Shuyin is the most lucid of all the 'Stepford Wives of Oblivion' since being from the cult she was perfectly slated to walk into all of this willingly. and as such has retained most of her personality. SHe's a reserved bookworm prone to fantasies and escapism. She's a writer by trade (being a secretary as a former dayjob before being abducted married off) and always has her head in the clouds, but willing to pull herself back to earth in order to Sing 'her Lady's praises.
