exactly! his struggles to seem normal/human (i personally struggle sometimes to view myself as human due to the ways i differ from neurotypical expectations n the sort of social outcasting of neurodivergent ppl) + general shyness/social awkwardness (my autism manifests a lot in social difficulties, a lot of which i can see traces of in clark) + the whole Strong Sense Of Justice required to become a superhero of ur own volition rlly resonates w me, as an autistic person. i just cannot read clark as neurotypical, and i feel like that's at least partially by design - his whole character sorta hinges on the idea of not quite fitting in with your peers or feeling like you belong - which definitely comes from a different direction (the whole kryptonian immigrant metaphor yk) but i think it's a deeply relatable sentiment to a lot of people. n yeah, some of that comes from his powers n his difficulty handling them, but i think a lot of it is Just How Clark Is, n removing those aspects of his character once he gets a handle on his powers would be a terrible move imo

of course like. this was mostly a joke post, i'm not trying to imply anything abt himboism and neurodivergence. (as a disclaimer for anybody who may have been bothered by the context of this post: i personally find affectionate himbo jokes abt clark sort of comforting as they frame character traits that i'm personally self conscious about irl in an appealing/endearing light)
