been working on this project for the past 3 years where i try to find and seek out unnerving/disturbing/~scary~ music, like the horror movie equivalent of songs and albums. and it's led me to some really great records and is what got me into metal (for better or for worse.....), and i knew going in that some artists/genres were going to be sketchy but Bro why did no one warn me about power electronics. that genre is literally swarming with nazis and racist/misogynistic/antisemitic imagery. why are black metal and neofolk the only ones that ppl warn you about

#i need a sketch list for every genre at this point man 😭#also i think there is a big difference between a sparse dark ambient tune about self loathing and a harsh noise song abt how much a racist #is happy a genocide happened. Like yes the latter is disturbing but not for the reasons im looking for or that should be oggled at as art #that being said like BM there are a lot of great safe PE musicians who aren't horrible #but it's a shame that some of the more well known or popular acts are.
