It's bad enough that the award shows were allowed to have "covers" of a very recent song but making these girls literally perform a tik tok challenge on an award show stage is so embarrassing

#like they added tiny sections from other parts of the song so it wouldn't exactly be the tik tok challenge but even those parts were #nothing of substance #that and the 'peformance' itself was so poorly thought out as if there was no real planning behind it #and tbh there probably wasn't #its literally so mind boggling to me that when award shows are already famously called snoozefests that they decided that a half baked #tik tok performance would probaby spice things up a bit #and if there's gonna be a 'cover' then put in the effort to make the cover look passably good atleast #like who even greenlit all of this #its all so embarrassing #nothing against the girls tho fr because they probably don't have any deciding power here and they are just doing their job #but the people behind the scenes who greenlit this 🔪🔪🔪🔪#ira.text
