2. Bram Stoker's Dracula Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

I have this on CD lol. This is very special to me because this is one of my favorite movies ever, and a college friend gifted it to me when she had to move cities. I put it on while reading because the vibes are just delectably evil and eerie 🖤

This plays throughout the opening scene of the movie and is just deliciously dark, the swelling crescendo with the choir and sinister whispering gives me goosebumps everytime. It's also perfect for imagining your oc's going through their villain/corruption arc hehe

This track walked so Christina Perri's Thousand Years could run. But seriously, it's such a bittersweet song. The cover by Collin Rae? Ray? I forgot his name is also good.

3. Gone Now - Bleachers

I don't know what it is about this album, but something in it just scratches my brain right. The sound is very synth-y, but there's a lot of sax and sample overlays that I really like. The whole theme is about death and dissatisfaction with where you are at the moment.

canadian grand prix ✩ 18.06.2023

truthfully, this is a race in which i don't remember much of what was happening in the REST of my life while watching it. that's not a bad thing, but it does make these messages shorter. or it would be. if it weren't for ONE thing 😁☝️🌷💌💌💕💕💕✨✨💥💥💥💥💥💥‼️‼️‼️‼️

so, one thing that happened during this race weekend is that i started tagging all the weekends as they were happening! my tag for 2023 canada was canada gp 2023 ‼️‼️‼️🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🌷💕✨🥺 it's so much fun looking back on everything i posted, i'm so glad i made that tagging system work for meeee :3 🍁💌🕊️🥰🥰💥 so from here on out: expect more random photodumps LOL 😁😁😁 and more clear experiences‼️‼️‼️‼️ so that means longer race messages‼️‼️‼️

as for my personal life? idk man same as before. texting emma and quinine all day getting tipsy at 4 pm and writing fanfiction i was very genuinely living my dream life atp. i need to go back this fuckass internship isnt it rn (i am exhausted)... ANYWAY yes life was very very good and i was very excited for this race weekend ✨🌷🕊️🐇🦁

for some reason i decided to watch free practice, which actually turned out to be nice because the pollen made everything VERY interesting :3 🌼🌼🌼 to watch at least LOL it was nice to see the pollen flying arouuundd the wind 🍃🌬️🎐

qualifying was AMAZING... i didn't like to see charles go out early yet again, but what do you do 💔💔💔 the groundhogs were absolutely hilarious though, can't believe i forgot about that jdhjdgfgf ✨✨✨🐿️🇨🇦 and rain!!! rain i like rain my best friend rain 🌧️🌧️🌧️ it was AMAZING seeing alex p1 for a little bit, and it was very fun watching quali with my brother and dad 💕💕🌷🌷🌞🌞 i was very very happy when max got pole, as i always am 🥰🥰🙏🙏💕💕💕 also max was VERY very adorable with fernando after qualifying, leaning into him and just happily maxplaining... my baby boy... my sun... 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺💥💥💥💕💕💕💕‼️‼️‼️‼️

the race itself was quite decent!! before watching the replay i only really remember being mad because max's gap was "so little" 😭😭😭😭😵😵😵 spoiler alert: it was about 10 seconds AGAGFSDHSFDGSF... whatever i've grown thank god 🙏🙏🙏🌙🌙🌙 what i didn't remember until now was the poor little bird... rest in peace lil guy 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️ and max having issues with tyres in cold temperatures (i suddenly remember why i was so scared of vegas) 🌞🌞🌞 i didn't remember george in the wall but i love george in the wall. fyi i fucking love george and i will not tolerate any genuine hate (hyperbole, idc as long as you don't hate max), but i just fjdghjgfdfhgjdh HES SO FUNNYYY 😭😭😭😭😁😁😁😁💥💥💥‼️‼️‼️ max laughing about almost putting it in the wall... you better be grateful youre my sun sweetheart because i was a bit mad at you jghdfjg 😵😵😵😵😭😭😭💥💥💥 him winning made my entire week though 💕💕 other than that obviously the 4433 was INSANE this weekend like WHUH. what happen.... the infamous selfie... the your rear end looks insane........ AW NOHR ITS OKAY 💕 I saw a while ago you mentioned you aren’t really on discord much, and I’ve been busy in my own little world lately and haven’t been on here much to say hi myself. 😔💕 Don’t worry about it mwah!

Hhmmm 5 things that make me happy right now are:

1. My brother and my sister in law are visiting! I usually see them once a year, since they live in another part of the country, and that time for 2024 has come. My mom has also made some incredible baked goods for their visit, which I am also enjoying LMAO. Last night my brother, who has a fancy business boy job but is also in a couple bands, one of his friends who is also in those bands, and a family friend who is a folk musician played music together. It’s been lovely so far!

2. Makin’ stuff! I got some new brushes and textures to use in Procreate, and I’ve been having a lot of fun experimenting with them. I’ve also been working on the Dimension 20 Zine Jam again this July, and it’ll be coming out soon in early August! And in between all this, I’ve been making little sketches for AU ideas with friends. I was in a funk for a while, and everything I was making felt like torture. But I’m getting back into the swing of things! Here’s one of the things I drew last night. :3

3. Speaking of D20: I finished The Unsleeping City’s second season! If anyone is unfamiliar, it’s a D&D actual play on Dropout (and some seasons are free on YouTube!) TUC is about a magical, dream-fueled secret borough of New York City and the people who can see and interact with it. I think it’s my favourite D20 series. The first season (which is up on YouTube) had some elements I didn’t love, there was some Iron Fist stuff in there. But the second season rectifies some of that, which I appreciated. Really hoping they bring the second season to YouTube, too. Both seasons have some truly incredible improv in them. Lou and Brennan going at each other as a divorced couple, Brennan’s “You know that kindness is incredibly real. And the realness of that kindness makes it hurt even more that these people are not going to lie down in bed with you to keep you warm at night for the rest of your life.” KILLS MEEEE. It’s also so stupidly funny. In season 2 they get shrunk down so they can go to a monastery inside a hot dog cart that’s run by cockroach monks. They have to fight an army of centurion ants with ballista mustard and ketchup bottles. The absurd creativity of the seasons is so good, and being helmed by Brennan Lee Mulligan who was born and raised in NYC, it does make the place sound and feel magical.

4. Just good ol art in general! For one of the zines I worked on for the jam, I was looking into a bunch of different artists for inspiration. Here’s a little list of some of the artists I looked into: David Blackwood, Mary Pratt, Alex Coleville, Bo Bartlett, Edward Hopper, Maude Lewis, and Wayne Theibaud! Some of their works:

I love sweet treats and if you’re a fellow sweet treat enjoyer, go get yourself a sweet treat right now. I’m gonna go get a slice of that pie now myself, I think.

Finally /got/ into fandom. Was mostly reading fics. I had my “x reader” phase. Was hesitant about making an ao3 account but would go searching to the most weird places to find x reader fics.
