wahoo thank you 4 asking and letting me be so so annoying about this. premise is pretty simple--a glimpse into how and why billie betrayed daud. consisting primarily of vignettes about her dynamic with + view of him, her ambition ostensibly warring w her loyalty (when the way shes been raised means theyre both the same thing in effect!!), interactions w other whalers, etc. the actual outsider visit/delilah seeking + bait and switch canonically take place over the course of like a week, and its really interesting to think about billies psyche before and during when she jumped at the chance to take over without much time to consider delilah's offer specifically and her thoughts over the months and even years prior that set the stage for this. this makes the fic sound a lot more expansive than it is lmao it just barely hit 10k and i feel like some snapshots caught and snagged zips of briefcases i didnt know could be opened which is to say theres a lot i accidentally implied that im not sure how im going to unpack......and i only have the vaguest idea of how it ends. Frank was delighted to say the least, despite his face not showing it. You knew he cared. And Frank being Frank, gave you heads up on pregnancy, what to avoid eating, what to do when feeling contractions, letting you know the size of your baby etc. This is his love language, info dumping. He will come and visit Home whenever you need him. As he is Welcome Home's book worm.

Howdy was very delighted. Gave you a pat on the back as well as a hearty laugh. Howdy started stocking up on baby items like pacifiers, diapers and baby toys just for you in the shop

Eddie of course, was just as happy as the other members of Welcome Home. Being the Mailman, he told you that once your belly grows big and you can no longer walk, he'd be happy to deliver your mails and or deliver things to you.

It was delightful having so many wonderful and kind neighbours all around you! And having a wonderful husband made your pregnancy journey fairly easy despite its occasional ups and downs throughout the 9 months.

Once your daughter came into the world, everyone was in awe and took care of her like the niece they never knew they needed!

Wally was obviously a fantastic father, and you were a fantastic mother

When your daughter is old enough, he'd teach her how to paint and they'd go on father daughter dates around the neighbourhood. Painting all they can see and proudly showing their work to you once they get back

I've got a question about synastry, there is this two synastry aspects that I've been trying to search about it more and more but unfortunately there is not many information about it wich are Vertex conjunct south node and vertex conjunct moon. Omg I'm glad someone else brought this up, because I have struggled to find anything out about vertex aspects that aren't vague. I'm sure in-depth interpretations exist, they just aren't readily available.

So I'll tell you what my interpretation is based on what I know about the signs.

(Like I've said in other posts, I'm using the word karmic to mean unresolved issues from past lives, 'you get what you give' energy, etc. I know the spiritual/religious meaning is a little different, so I just wanted to make that distinction. If anyone has a better term, please let me know! I hate how this term has been westernized)

Vertex synastry is often viewed as karmic connections. Especially with the South Node. The South Node can give you insight into your past lives.

To be honest, in my personal experience, South Node and Vertex synastry has been one of the more successful ways that I've found soul contract connections in a synastry chart. Mine and my partner's were actually pretty spot on. When I read my interpretation with the vague description to him he was shocked. (We always said we were a karmic connection before we truly understood what that meant on an astrological level. This was before my spiritual awakening. Which makes it even more bizarre)

Vertex Conjunct South Node in Synastry

This aspect is extremely karmic. Usually, the two people with these aspecting each other have agreed to help the other grow in this life. The connection can feel instant and it can seem like you've known them in a hundred lives before this...probably because you have.

This union will transform both of you for the rest of your lives. It could be a fated encounter to incite a lot of growth.

There could be some unfinished business from a past life, or you simply agreed to be what each of you needs to kick off some realizations to send you towards your life purpose.

(Some believe this conjunction can indicate twin flames. That depends a variety of things and if you even subscribe to that belief, but I felt it was important to point out)

Vertex Conjunct Moon in Synastry

This aspect can indicate deep understanding of one another's emotions. You two might nurture each other deeply on an emotional and intuitive level.

This can also feel like a fated connection (any vertex aspect will).

However, just because something is 'fated,' it doesn't mean it's always healthy. So don't assume this person is your potential soul mate or twin flame without doing further research. Overall though, this person was meant to instigate growth in you in some way.

BnHA Chapter 283: I'M MARY POPPINS Y’ALL

Previously on BnHA: Everyone was all, “Tomura what do you have?” and Tomura was all,” a quirk bullet!” and they were all, “NO!!” He then threw the bullet at Aizawa, who ironically actually did have a knife, and since no one bothered to say “no!!” this time he proceeded to CHOP OFF HIS OWN LEG. Just, schwoop. Lopped it right off. Didn’t even fucking care. Anyway so then Tomura was all, “you know what who even needs quirk bullets” and somehow broke free from both Deku and Ryuukyuu to go claw off Aizawa’s face. Thankfully Todoroki “I've spent the past eight chapters puttering around waiting for the coolest moment to strike” Shouto finally decided to join the fray by impaling Tomura, and everyone was all, “ahaha, classic Shouto”, and Tomura was all, “don’t worry though I’m fine”, and it seems like he really is now, since he’s finally regenerated and all his wounds have healed again! The chapter ended with Gigantomachia stampeding towards Jakku, which is super terrible, but what else is fucking new.

Today on BnHA: The Gunga kids spend a few pages standing around letting all that trauma soak in nice and deep as Machia rampages on towards Jakku. Back in the Shigaraki Wastes, the heroes regroup, which mostly consists of the remaining conscious adults tearfully being all “you kids get out of here... save yourselves...” and the kids being all “YOU JUST SIT THERE AND CHILL, DAD” and “[EXPLETIVES]” and “I’M YOUNG AND FILLED WITH RIGHTEOUS SHOUNEN RAGE”, all of which is very entertaining to me and makes me very proud. Anyway so then Tomura’s body sort of explodes a bit, and he’s all, “what”, and then it finally sinks in that he might have popped out of the toaster early, so he tries to end the fight right there and then with another round of Decay. Except that Deku counters it by SPONTANEOUSLY LEARNING HOW TO FLY, which is probably SO CONFUSING for all the non-Gran-and-Kacchan people around, which is just one of the many things I love about it. And the other things I love about it are that it’s (1) THE MOST BADASS THING EVER, and (2) just, really fucking great. So yeah. Rage, Deku, rage.

okay so I’m gonna try my best to explain why I love this so much lol. all right. so the thing is, it’s actually so rare for Deku to actually take the reins like this. even though he’s the main character, even though he’s All Might’s heir, his personality is such that he genuinely doesn’t mind being in the backseat and is perfectly content to share the spotlight with others, or even relinquish it completely. BnHA has had... how many arcs so far? hold up let me check

-- okay I just checked and it’s 18. so, 18 arcs. and out of all those arcs, Deku has had a solo fight in approximately... five of them. and two of those fights were against Bakugou and Todoroki, respectively, so he was still sharing the spotlight even then. aside from that, he’s fought Muscular, Gentle, and Overhaul (oh, and Shinsou, I guess). that’s it! and it’s been almost 300 chapters! and again, he’s the main character. in a shounen manga. like seriously though, that is wild

and so seeing him here like this on the last page, ready to throw hands with Tomura, presumably while using Blackwhip as some sort of physical barrier to coat his attacks and prevent Tomura from trying any more Decay shenanigans with him? dude. I FELT THAT HYPE. it’s just a really effective way of keeping me from getting Main Character Fatigue like I might get in most other shounen series. because Deku doesn’t get the spotlight all that often in comparison, it still feels fresh to me, especially now with him actually going up against the Big Bad. just, idk what else to say except “hell yeah” lol

anyway, so I don’t even know how long it’s gonna last, and I expect that Kacchan and Shouto aren’t going to be content to just sit back and let Deku have all the glory either (Kacchan in particular is probably frothing at the mouth already), so in all likelihood it’s probably going to be more of a 3-on-1 than a 1-on-1. and it’s also very likely to end with Tomura gaining the upper hand and trying to take OFA! and so in truth this is a very fleeting moment of triumph, and the most premature of celebrations! but even so... damn. and also I just love seeing shounen kids lose their damn minds and explode with angry determination. and I especially love seeing it with Deku, because I love the reminder that beneath that sweet, unassuming nerdy exterior lies a core of fucking steel. that look in his eyes, though. TOMURA ARE YOU SCARED. you should be a little scared, lmao

anyway. so that’s the chapter! and I’m really glad we ended on this note, not just because Deku is a badass, but also because like I was saying earlier, this was about as bad a situation as the good guys have ever been in, and I felt like the manga was starting to lose that feeling of hope that still needs to be there at its core even when things are at their darkest. idk, I feel like we needed this. Tomura got a chance to catch his breath in the last chapter, and now it’s the heroes’ turn. whew

AN/// I’m doing fine, sadly work is still just as busy. I hope you’re doing fantastic, and thank you for requesting and for liking my works!!! I had another idea that was still within the prompt, so you’re getting a two for one!!

  There have been only a handful of books that Eskel has read on psychology. Of course, there wasn’t much knowledge on the inner workings of the mind and functions to begin with. He also, despite his age, hasn’t been around women long enough to understand what could be happening. Eskel had been courting Y/n for only a couple of months, but he, along with the rest of the pack, have known her for years. She had helped Geralt find Ciri, and helped bring the kid to the keep. Every year, she was still allowed to come back during the winter despite humans rarely being invited.

They had coincidentally met up in the south near Gulet, and they spent a month together before heading to the fort for the winter. Nights were long as they stayed up either wrapped in conversation or in each other, and that’s how he didn’t notice it. It wasn’t a great thing to have as a witcher, but Eskel was a deeper sleeper. Geralt and Lambert could be roused by the sound of a pin drop, but the brunette would need something closer to an anvil. It’s been only two weeks since he’d first noticed it, and it was eating at him.

Whenever Y/n is ready and settling for bed, there is a new scent around her. He didn’t know what it is about her, but even the stench of her fear didn’t smell like most- like rot. It smelled like burning cake, sweet yet off. This new scent was also just off. It was like limes with the aftertaste of salt, and it lingered on her side of the bed. He hadn’t wanted to involve anyone, but he also didn’t want to be forward or feel ‘pushy’. The witcher asked Vesemir if he’d ever associated an emotion with the fragrance and his answer was shocking. His father figure informed him that limes or lemons were usually associated with nerves, the acidic scent coming from churning stomachs.

Dandelion had also been wintering in the fort, as he often did, and he knew the poet would be willing to help.

“And it’s every night before bed?” The bard was certainly confused, his finders dancing over his lute strings, but still focused completely on the man across the main hall’s table. Geralt had been plopped next to his friend, silently listening.

“Other than nights together, yes.” Geralt smirked but rolled his eyes. Eskel was known as cold to the outside world, but he truly was bashful when it came to himself or personal matters.

“And you hadn’t noticed before?” His hand came up, rubbing the back of his neck before brushing over his cheek for a moment.

“I usually fell asleep before she did. Y/n also wakes up before me. I asked once and she had said she simply had trouble sleeping.” Lambert finally made himself known, his voice bouncing off the walls.

“Maybe it’s that… period thing, like when Ciri first camped and-.”

“You poor soul. Do you really think it’s a year-round- forgive me, month long, event? You are sorely mistaken.” Dandelion’s voice holding a stern tone. Geralt’s hand placed itself on the poet’s shoulder in thanks for trying to keep the conversation respectful, and the younger witcher threw his hands up in surrender.

“I’m just here to grab some crates.”

“Do hurry.” His voice was still stern, and he had a humorless grin upon his face. He knew he’d make it up to the witcher later, but this wasn’t a laughing matter. Both Eskel and Y/n mattered greatly to everyone at the keep, and this was important. Geralt’s brows furrowed before asking,

“Where is she now?” Eskel’s knuckle brought itself to rub over his eye.

“Sleeping.” Dandelion perked up at his answer.

“Does she usually nap while you’re away?” Eskel felt more confused by this train of thought than he was contemplating the situation on his own.

“I bring her on contracts, but usually she does. Though, there aren’t too many instances where we’re apart. I’m not allowed to go to the market alone once she caught on to how people treat us.” Dandelion stopped playing for a moment, his fingers brushing his facial hair. Geralt leaned over, his grip giving a small squeeze.

“What are you thinking?”

“Certain people have bags under their eyes, regardless of sleep, but I think hers aren’t.”

“So?”

“So, I think Y/n’s refusing to sleep. She’s nervous to sleep.” Eskel’s brows furrowed faster than they ever had before.

“What? Why?” The poet wanted to roll his eyes, but he knew this was sensitive. He leaned closer to the table, and tried to soften his tone as much as possible.

“You know what it’s like being plagued by nightmares. Y/n isn’t a witcher, but you know she hasn’t led the best life. She might have been living life to the fullest since you’ve come into her life, but she certainly has specters following her.”  

Eskel had taken what they had talked about, and tried to come up with a game plan. On his way back to his room, thoughts flooded his mind. He wouldn’t wake her from her nap once he got back. Hell, he might even wait till she’s woken up for a while before mentioning anything. He wants her to be comfortable when the topic is broached, and he knew that if they were still in bed, safe from ears (as best they can be) in their own room, then she’d be more open to talk. He won’t mention that the conclusion was a group effort, but he should say that she can go to Dandelion if she isn’t fully comfortable talking to him. Even if he wants to know. Needed to know. Only to be able to make it better, as his heart has been clenched since he first noticed the smell. At first, he thought it was him, but he knew she loved him.

As he approached their room, he heard a heart pounding, and burst through the door. The middle of the bed held a clump under the furs, shaking the whole frame. He approached quickly, throwing the fur to the side. There Y/n laid, arms and legs pressed close to her chest, her whole body shaking as she tried to pull in a breath. Her skin was deathly pale, sweat beading and rolling over her forehead, mixing with the tears that rolled from closed eyes. He started to call her name, but nothing came of it. His hand gently landed on her shoulder, the other cupping itself under her head. He called to her again, louder this time, only to have Y/n shoot to the other side of the bed, her eyes frantically rushing around the room. Eskel placed his knee on the bed, his hand going out as if to sooth an animal. The brunette called out again, and her eyes found his, a fresh wave of tears trying to be blinked away.

“You’re awake now.” His voice was soft in volume, but stern, trying to show that there was power and realism to him. His other arm came up, a silent invitation for a hug being put in place. She blinked at him for a moment before crawling into his arm, her hands fisting his shirt, nose jamming itself into his neck. Soft sobs could be heard, and she began to shake again, though it wasn’t because she couldn’t breathe. He curled himself around her, legs coming to frame hers, a hand going to the back of her head, and the other going over her hand that latched itself onto the collar of his tunic. They stayed there until she was whittled down into small sniffles. “What happened?” It took time for her to answer, but he didn’t press.

“There was a skirmish a year ago near the Pontar. I wasn’t in Vengerberg, but I was close enough when the scorching happened. I had a tent of twenty innocent victims. Not even soldiers. I could only save five.” Y/n was a renounced healer, and it was a miracle she saved even five in their state.

“Is it just them haunting you?” Y/n pulled back a moment to look into his soft, knowing gaze. “I know you don’t sleep when you should.” Her arm that wrapped itself around to his back unraveled and tried to scrub dry tear trails, the remnants starting to itch.

“No. It changes every night.”

“Will you wake me?” Her brows furrowed. “When you wake up from another dream, will you wake me?” The hand over hers clenched harder. “I may not be able to help slay this type of demon, but I don’t want you to suffer alone.” She started to shake her head.

“You don’t have to lose sleep over this.”

“And you shouldn’t have to. But I’m choosing to. I want you to know you can be safe, and that you won’t have to go through things- dreams or experiences alone any longer. I’ll always be here trying to keep you safe.”

It took a little longer to convince her, but she agreed. That night, Eskel once again wrapped himself around her, spilling sweet nothings into her ear. Knowing that she was safe in his arms, her body relaxed, lime nowhere in the air.

When Eskel had warned her to watch out, she headed it, but didn’t fully understand why. She chalked it up to some simple aggressive behavior or overbearing angst that didn’t come with a filter. When Letho leaned over the table, lips peeling back into a venomous smirk, whispering to her that his occupation entailed being a King slayer, it fully dawned. This was the witcher that had slipped past Geralt for so long. Eskel’s breathing techniques had been taken further, the brunette teaching her how to rein in her breathing and heartbeat for situations that called for it. Mainly, it was supposed to be used for if a monster somehow slipped past him, and she needed to hide. It wasn’t meant to try and cover her fear if for if a hostile witcher came along. Both she and Eskel knew that Letho was aware of her fear the second she got her heart rate down, despite how quick it and imperceptible it had been.

The lovers moved to the next town quickly and efficiently, but with the baggage of their encounter. Eskel had always kept himself between Y/n and Letho even if they had been sitting. His hand was always on her knee or the small of her back, her figure never leaving his line of sight. Despite these micromovements, Eskel was a right gentleman to the other witcher. While he declined the viper’s inquiry to receive help on the contract Letho had taken up, Eskel did hand him a formula of a lure to get the Chorte out. Despite the wolf’s efforts, Letho had select parting words for him,

“You make bold moves to protect the expendable.”

Y/n all but dragged the brunette out of the tavern, quickly getting him to Scorpion before anything broke out. They had taken measures, acting as if they were taking the trail to the adjacent town, instead cutting through the woods halfway and going deeper south.

The tavern they stopped at had an inn attached, and they decided to stay. Eskel found a contract, but would start the next morning, heading up to their room early. Y/n had found some gwent players, knowing she could make extra coin through them easily. It had been an hour before the healer finally meandered up to the room, tired from the trek through the woods and the intense gameplay. Satisfaction rang through her as she had won, though fatigue still took over. She gently opened the door, looking to her lover on the bed.

Eskel was reading, book in this outside hand, the other arm tucked behind his head making the perfect spot for her to tuck in next to him. She toed off her shoes, slowly let her trousers drop, and padded to the bed. He had a small smile for her, though his eyes still flew over the pages. Y/n climbed into bed, positioning herself into his side, giving his scarred cheek a chaste kiss on the way to rest her head on his chest. She noticed that he was at the end of the chapter, only a page to go before the break, and she knew he’d put it down to chat, but she fell asleep moments after laying down.

 When she was awoken, Eskel was half over her, eyes sad and worried. Her heart pounded and sweat beaded, images of her last nightmare still flashing through her mind. Y/n’s eyes flew over every shadowed shape in the room, her shoulder fitting over Eskel’s chest. Her head snapped to look over his shoulder to look at the space behind him, all the while he was softly calling her name. She didn’t stop however, finally turning to him. Her hands cupped his cheeks, inspecting for blood that had previously been flooding out of his nose and mouth in her dream.

Her hands then flew to his shirt, fingers dragging over the dry material, finding no blood, no wound. She couldn’t really see anything, the overcast covering the moon light making it impossibly harder for the human. Eskel’s hand came up to cup hers when it flew over his heart. He knew that the beat was slow, but that she would still be able to feel it. His other went to her cheek, thumb brushing away the tears, and trying to sooth so she would stop shaking. Her eyes closed and she started to breath along with the man in front of her, their chests syncing up with only a few shaky inhales from her.

“I’m sorry.” Her head tilted into his hand.

“You know you never need to apologize for that.” They sat there for a handful of moments before he had to ask. “It’s been months.” It’s true that the two had been together for years now, but she still had them from time to time. Though, there was usually a trigger, either seeing Eskel badly injured after a hunt or passing through war riddled husks of towns. There was another difference to the dreams as well. It was never random people she couldn’t help, nor was it herself in the shoes of who was in danger. Eskel was always the victim in her dreams, and it tore at her heart every time. Even the thought of him getting hurt through her heartbeat to speeds it should never reach. That isn’t to say that she didn’t believe in his abilities. She had never felt safer than by his side, but she also knew his heart. Eskel would do anything to make her or innocents safe.

“It was Letho.” She could feel Eskel tense under her hand. “I didn’t know I fell asleep and you were reading to me. He waited in the shadows,” her tone was barley audible, but she knew he heard every word, every inflection. His, however, was just above a whisper, and his tone matched the tension in his shoulders.

“Did he hurt you in the dream?” Y/n shook her head lightly.

“No, he only said what he did to rile you up. And he was here to finish the job of taking you out.” Eskel had also noticed the pattern of her dreams and how they morphed into him being hurt. It hurt him to know that he was the source of her pain, though it also made his heart soar. To know that she truly loved him to where he plagued even her dreams. He had never thought he’d be happy, not like Geralt. And he was man enough to admit that he was jealous of his brother when it came to love. But now he had it, and he was never letting it go.

The dreams had lessened to only times after traumatic experiences, and he was determined to destroy them forever. Now, he just needed to figure out how to show her that even the threat of death couldn’t tear him from her loving arms.

Have you seen Amanda Brugel's last instagram post? I'm beginning to worry Serena doesn't survive the season

HEY ANON! SERIOUS QUESTION: ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE ME A HEART ATTACK LOL?! Now, cue me frantically pouring over the post!

I’m curious. What makes you think that it’s ominous? It could be my wishful thinking, but nothing screamed out at me from it? Am I blind, lol? I mean, of course, there’s Ever waxing all FOMO over it, but that’s expected cos she’s not in the show all that much as it is. And the photo, if I’m reading Amanda right, is from S1. Is that why?

Maybe it’s wishful thinking but I don’t think they’ll kill off Serena–yet. Mainly, she’s one of the central characters, and certainly the central (human) antagonist to June specifically. (We all know the real villain is Gilead and male power. Fred is a secondary antagonist imo, and more like a stand-in for Gilead itself to make it easier to see the true evil.) There is a great deal of focus on her thus far, to develop her and weave her into a story that, if we’re all being real, the Waterfords should have been gone from already and certainly by the end of S2 but we know there’s going to be even more about both of them. And there is quite QUITE a lot of potential to move Serena across the “villainy spectrum” towards neutral or even true anti-hero without it being a deus ex machina/jump the shark sort of thing. And that sort of story is pure gold for a writer. It can be milked for a long time and works easily with drama, and the feminist themes of the show. I don’t want to say “redemption arc” cos that would require A LOT of work and I think most viewers are still stuck on 210 (once again–that was a HORRIBLE MISSTEP FOR THE CREATIVE TEAM the way it was written. I’ll say that forever because so many, many people missed the underlying point about it), but movement is possible.

Also, Miller seems to really enjoy the character/actress, and Yvonne’s got a LOT of hype on social media/critics circles. I think even if you hate Serena, you recognise how stellar Yvonne’s doing. Like, that’s why Serena is so hated (other than people not understanding Serena)–Yvonne plays her so exceptionally well.

I have NO idea what the contract situation is like, but I’d suspect she has a 5-year deal, like most. Quite frankly, the only reason I can see for killing Serena off is that Yvonne wants out, to be with her new baby. It must be dreadful to have a newborn and be working 6 months on such a dark, cold show about the oppression of women and horrible things about children. But she is a professional so we’ll see.

Or, I suppose, if they want SHOCK VALUE. Cos, who really expects Serena to die? I know a lot of vocal idiots online cream themselves over her dying a painful death and wish her horrible death constantly, but those are just loud online idiots – and if I’ve learnt anything from decades of fandom, it’s that showrunners rarely give a shit about those fans or take them seriously. They’ll pander to a degree, but they deep down don’t care. (Obvs there are exceptions but most showrunners and writers have a goal and view and it doesn’t change based on the whims of rabid fans on Twitter and Tumblr. There was a time in my life that I believed they cared. They do not, lol.)

But hey, this is complete wishful thinking cos she’s my babe and I don’t want THT without her. So I live in denial that they’ll kill her off. She’s honestly the most complex and second most developed character in the entire series. It would seem short-sighted to dump a character like that.

Honestly? I think it’s far more likely that Rita will leave the show than Serena, if we’re looking at Amanda & Yvonne. Which is a shame too cos she’s the only Canadian in the main cast and a good character. It all depends I suppose on the direction they go with the Resistance/Mayday and the Waterfords. Rita and Serena could BOTH go by the end of the season.

I’m gonna rant now about the characters that SHOULD go…

In terms of characters that have run their course, I vote for the main males. Both Fred and Nick are totally redundant to me now–and this has nothing to do with my dislike of Nick, I swear. Just on a narrative level, he no longer serves much purpose if we’re supposed to be watching a show about women fighting back against a repressive patriarchal fascist regime. (I don’t need some cutsey romance subplot, thanks. And I don’t think June requires it either, not when she’s on a mission to get HANNAH back and make to Canada to reunite with her HUSBAND and bff, all whilst saving ALL the children and women of Gilead. She’s got quite enough going on. The story is supposed to be less depressing this season so the argument that the N/J thing brings “lightness” and “hope” to a bleak story is also outdated too.) He’s just redundant. Served his purpose, and it was an important purpose, don’t get me wrong! I understand his very integral role especially in S1 but it’s just run its course, imo. I think even Nick stans seem to recognise this on some level cos they’re always terrified he’s going to be killed off almost every episode lol.

I may not care for Luke either, but he actually will remain important to the story, I think and I can’t see any good reason to get rid of him. He needs to remain alive. I think it would kill June to find out he’s dead.

Fred is just… a cartoon now and needs to go. How many more Evil TM things can he do? Yawn. We don’t need the personification of Gilead anymore I don’t think. We get it. Both Nick and Fred have dodged certain death now and it’s just like, OKAY, with June I get it cos she’s the protag, but them? Give me a break. Lazy. The only reason I don’t think they’ll kill off Nick is pure fanservice. I can’t see any rational reason other than that. Those LOUD fangirls will have a fucking meltdown. (I’ll say that when I speak to non-fandom people offline about the show, the vast majority don’t really care about the N*ck/June storyline nearly as much. Most people I’ve spoken with care much more about the larger issues–and it was crazy cos I was talking to a friend that I hadn’t seen in like 4 months about THT, and I know isn’t a fan of THT–like she watches it but isn’t in fandom. Just casual. And I brought up Serena (of course I did) but I was very critical of her, and she (who knows ZERO about my true feelings for Serena lol) was defensive of the character. It blew my mind cos she’s really not the type to defend problematic characters or villains. (I honestly thought she’d be a Nick fan, N/J fan, and Serena hater. But she’s a JUNE fan first and foremost, doesn’t really care for N/J but thought it was cute at the time, and doesn’t hate Serena.) She even brought up points that we Serena fans say, completely unprompted by me. So, I think in terms of casual fans, they’re a little more perceptive than the vocal majority of N*ck/June fangirls that dominate fandom. God, it’s such a relief to talk to offline people sometimes. By and large, they seem far more reasonable when it comes to this show and where the focus should be. (I should probably mention that almost all of the people I’ve spoken to about THT have been over the age of 25 (many over 30), which probably has something to do with it tbh.)

Both Fred and Nick are props for the female characters, and I think June and Serena are developed enough at this point to stand on their own without the need for either of those dudes. I don’t need men to help tell a story about women, thanks.

But again, I’m just some online voice. The producers and showrunners don’t give a shit what I think. They don’t even know I exist. And that’s probably a good thing (considering my obsession with having June/Serena fuck, lol. I’m gonna wager they don’t wanna see that.).

I’m just gonna pretend I am not now freaking out about Serena being killed off in S3. As much as I think it may be a terrible idea, I honestly don’t put it past this show…

(he said yes) he also hasn't seen this Darren guy since glee ended and btw he has a girlfriend and they have been together since glee started. If u even read Chris's frickin books u would know him and will are dating!!!! Because he dedicated the last one to him

Newsflash, Chris Colfer news is PR. They post what the agenda is. the agenda is to try to sell Chill. Why? Oh I know, I know!!!!!  Because Chris is in a relationship with an actor is is in the closet. And the spotlight has shined brightly on CC for years. and therefore, in order to dim that spotlight, Chris needs to have his own fake relationship. This is called PR. Something that is common in Hollywood. Will is a merkin, a person that is the pretend boyfriend commonly used as a source of protection for one’s actual significant other.  Ever question why Ashley is always with them? Even on their trip to London? Its just so odd....

And Darren has a girlfriend?  Yes, the one that is under contract to play his plus one. And insufferable spoiled brat that lives with a man named BEN.

You see, Darren signed his life away when he joined Fox. And the last thing Fox wanted was (a) for Darren to come out as straight and (b) for there to be any reason to suspect that Darren and Chris were a couple. So heavy bearding commenced in season 4 and it has been relentless since. Why?  No one knows. An obvious mistake.  Fox should have chosen to capitalize on it. But all they could see was the $$$ Darren brought in as their straight teenage dream,

And sadly years later, this is the mess they find themselves in. And they are stuck trying to balance what is right for them, their careers, and for their naive fans who would rather see them both with completely unequal partners than be with each other. It is beyond my comprehension. But this is where we are.

I beg of you. Please take off the blinders.  It is beyond obvious what the truth is.  And for the record. You haven’t a clue what I know. But trust me, it is more than enough to not doubt even for one second what I know to be fact.

YES I read the new Kuro chapter! Honestly I disliked the 2CT for various reasons  but now that it’s actually become canon I think I feel a little better about it (also, is it just me or does ‘real’ Ciel look a bit different from 'our’ Ciel on the last page? His face looks too…perfect, if that makes sense). I’m excited to see what this means for Lizzy’s relationship with both Ciels and Undertaker’s connection to the Phantomhives!

Oh, actually I agree with you there? What I meant by 'op’ is more of a really strong character, not an overpowered one ^^;; sorry, I’ll try to explain myself better:

Super strong characters like Levi, Mikasa, the Titan Trio, Kaneki, Eto, Arima, Sebastian…they are all technically 'op’ (especially Sebastian, dude has literally no weaknesses so far). However, they work because they also have traits that interest us beyond just their strength. Kaneki is a lonely child, a selfish person with a fear of being left behind, drifting and unable to find a reason to live. Levi is an orphan who was raised by a serial killer- he clawed his way up to where he is now. Annie is a sixteen-year-old trained into a killing machine from childhood, she went through life believing that the only person she could trust was her father, and she was desperate to return to him.

(It’s also difficult because everyone seems to have a different definition of 'op’; I personally just use it to jokingly refer to powerful characters or when I talk about strong characters whose power levels are inconsistent with canon to the point where it gets ridiculous (example: we know titan shifters take some time to heal, so if a titan shifter came along who could be behaded then have their head instantly stick back onto their neck like some sort of AoT version of Noro, I’d consider them OP).)

I guess what I was trying to say was that it’s fine to have strong characters, just make sure that they have an actual personality (readers need a reason to care about the characters, after all!) and that their powers make sense? ^^;;

(Also, I think I might have sounded a bit passive-aggressive or rude during this convo about op characters, I'm really sorry if I did OTL I didn’t mean to, but when I reread my comments I realized they could come off that way)

I agree with you about the AoT OCs though. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of good ones…actually, most OCs I see for popular fandoms aren’t very interesting. Other than the powers or character designs the thing that bothers me is the lack of proper personality (why do so many people think 'happy’ is a personality trait???).

And definitely agree 100% on the angsty backstory. Like, that’s just overkill. There’s a difference between tragedy and being edgy. (It also sort of depends on how good the writer is at conveying emotion and handling the angst, but for the most part stuff like that is

That’s a great way to do things! :D I’m really, really disorganized when it comes to making characters…usually a concept pops into my head and I run with it, adding in details along the way. Tatsuo was created when I wanted to make a male TG OC and suddenly this image of a smug-looking guy with a long black ponytail popped into my head, Naomi started from the idea of making a character with the themes of 'self-discovery’ 'identity’ and 'lies’ woven into their arc. Louisa was literally born from an outfit- I randomly thought of an outfit that looked really pretty and traditionally feminine, yet was actually very practical when you looked closer. Then I tried to imagine what kind of person would wear these clothes and that was Louisa…

idk, I’m bad at explaining stuff haha

(also: Tatsuo was also inspired by various vampire characters I saw in anime/manga, books and TV shows. He’d be so offended if he knew LOL in fact, he just might serve me for dinner at the restaurant or something ;-;)

As for Lou, I’ll send you some more info about her after I develop her a bit more if you like? :) For now, a few random things:

-rarely shows emotions like anger or sorrow

-not because she’s bottling them up, but because she’s learned how to handle them in a healthy way

-always smells like mint for some reason

-maybe because she’s addicted to mint tea

-her bodyguard suspects she doesn’t drink water at all and lives on the stuff

-she also likes strong flavors

-has the kind of bright, pretty smile that makes you want to trust her

-so you do

-and you (probably) get killed

-had a girlfriend named Iris once, a nice, sensible girl who managed to keep her from getting too buried in her work and various plans for her family and took care of her in ways that her bodyguard couldn’t (AKA somehow got her to realize that mint tea does not equal a proper meal)

-unfortunately Iris did not know that Lou can be a bit terrible

-she walked in on Lou casually wiping the blood off of her knife with the dead body of a certain businessman on the floor in front of her

-“Oh, Iris. What are you doing here, darling? I thought I asked the servants to keep you upstairs, my private meetings can be a bit messy… Iris? Love, are you quite alright? You look a little pale…”

-Well, that was the end of that relationship

XD the titan designs are one of the best things about AoT, in my opinion. You could make a gallery out of all the pictures of them that that have appeared in the anime and the manga so far lol

Well, I never really had a formed opinion on the 2CT theory, but I did read a few things about it. I didn’t expect it to be true, though. Welp, now we can assume it is true, and I am SHOOK Here’s an accurate description of me during the chapter.

I think that might be since he’s a tiny bit more similar to Vincent, while Our Ciel is more similar to Rachel. I mean, we know that there are physical differences between the two (if we assume that Real Ciel is the one who was previously Lizzy’s fiancé), because Real Ciel is taller than Our Ciel.

Well, like you said, everyone has their own definition of OP.  Sometimes, I’ll even think of OCs who have trait that’s already specific to another character as OP, like Titan-Shifter OCs, or OCs with a plot basically the same to a canon character (not OP but very irritating) And don’t get me started on Demon-Contracted OCs in the Kuro fandom. Those make me want to defenestrate myself.

Yup, I have no problems with strong characters as long as they’re not ridiculously strong and aren’t there purely because of that power, but they also have personality.

Don’t worry, I reread my original statement about OP characters and was like ‘man this sounds so bitchy and high and might hnnnngh’ but couldn’t find a way to rephrase it properly ^^;; So, no worries, I know how you feel ^^

Well, for some reason, it seems that the people who make believable OCs are either lazy or scared to post theirs. Or they simply don’t care. The ones with Mary Sues like to holler at people with ‘LOOK AT MY BAE CHARACTER AREN’T THEY PERFECT???’

There’s this blog I follow (it’s gone inactive, unfortunately) that takes Mary Sues and breaks them down (well, the correct term would be make fun of, but they do offer some advice on how to improve them), and you wouldn’t believe the shit I found there.  Here’s the link if you want.

For some reason, people seem to think that the edgier the backstory, the ‘more original’ the character, which (of course) isn’t true, because that means everyone will have a super tragic backstory that no longer makes sense.  Another thing I’ve noticed is that they sometimes avoid some pretty important details like ‘Character was born into a healthy, happy family. One thing led to another and the family was killed, while character was molested (a very common backstory theme) and taken in by a cult’ and I’m like ???

My character usually start out like this: *luna is watching a show*  OK BUT WHAT IF THERE WAS A CHARACTER WHO-

And so a new character is born. 

But your ways of starting a character are also quite interesting ^^ Especially by looking at an outfit!  I ALWAYS WANNA LISTEN TO YOU RAMBLE ABOUT CHARACTERS!
