i was wondering if hinata's case in butterfly was somehow based on true story? i watched an episode of rotten mango where a kid was abused by his mother and older brother to the point that he died. they would lock the kid in their basement and hurt and starve him that when he died, his body was beyond emaciated.

there's a part in the story where the kid would escape from the basement to steal food from the kitchen, but the only food available was frozen chicken nuggets, which the kid would still eat - i don't know why but that part is what made the whole case unforgettable for me.

so when i read butterfly and got to the part about the nuggets, tho i didn't think that there might be a connection, i've associated hinata's case with the kid's case that sometimes i would think the kid IS hinata who got a second chance at life and then i'd get this overwhelming feeling that i wanna protect them so much.

Hinata's case isn't based on any story you'd find in media, it's based on a personal story that's never been in the spot light before, and probably never will, honestly. I've never heard of the case you mentioned, but the similarities to Butterfly definitely overlap and that's really, really sad, even sadder that that poor boy didn't get a chance to get out.

My heart breaks for him.

It almost sounds like Butterfly is helping you process that case from Rotten Mango, and if that's the case, then I hope it can give you better closure or help you make peace with its tragic end 🫂

Sorry for the random ask but I saw your post about regarding your opinions on the P3 casts personas and you said to share if anyone had any ideas so...I might have an idea as to why metis was given psyche as a persona??

Psyche is supposed to be a representation of the human soul (her name literally meaning both soul and butterfly, something that is often connected to souls symbolically. And also literally becoming the goddess of the soul) and Metis is all of Aigis' repressed emotions basically given form right? And emotions is apart of what makes a soul right? Kinda? So you could argue Metis is Aigis' soul(or at least a part of it) and therefore, she was given psyche since she is a representation of the soul.

Anyways those were just my thoughts, sorry to crash into your asks so randomly

I didn't know that her name meant soul butterfly and that she was the goddess of soul. I think I was too focused on the myth about her and Eros (how she attained godhood I believe) that I didn't think of looking at the name.

You're right about Metis though, I think there might even be a point where they straight up say she is a part of Aigis' soul (been a minute since I played the Answer) and even if they don't say it, they imply it heavily. So yeah her persona being a soul butterfly makes so much sense and also given Aigis has access to the Velvet room and that has heavy butterfly symbolism as well that makes so much sense!

My first dates were so silly!

So we start with Benkei!! Him and I are basically friends to lovers and we had a home date. Now chilling at each others wasn't unusual but this somehow felt so much different next to us making out on the couch like two horny teenagers. It was very chill and cute.

With Toji he took me out for dinner and ironically forgot his wallet 😒 but it's fine it's fine! He drove me home after and stayed at my place for a little while just cuddling on the couch for a moment. He was like a giant teddy bear and left when I fell asleep in his arms.

Mahito first took me to the sewers as a shocking factor but I wasn't really shocked or scared which actually upset him. His plan B was the amusement park and we had so much fun there 🥹 we ate cotton candy in the color of each others hair (blue and red) and I've been stuck with that idiot since then hehe
