does your calypso design grow flowers on her head based on her emotions or does she just really like flowers

that actually happens to Persephone, since she's directly linked with flowers and that (for example, when embarrassed more flowers pop, when sad they wither, etc)

And i played a bit with that on Calypso on the begging of her design, but i dont think that fits so well so what happens is that she has control of her insland so for example the sea around can change slightly based on her emotions (will never be as strong as if it was Poseidon ofc), some plants near her may "act" of she has a sudden, strong emotion (example- if she suddenly got mad, the plants near her would bet bigger and intimidating as a mechanism)

I also think she can control small plants (vines, flowers, but not trees, for example) but she doesnt do that often because she doesnt find necessary (+ thats being mean to the plants)

And since im talking abt this ill add here that she can talk to animals that were born on her island, but not in a way we talk with each other, more like guessing correctly what they try to comunicate with sounds

3. What work are you most proud of (regardless of kudos/hits)?

here to take you home! i had a lot of fun writing all the fics in my crystal series, and this one especially was neat because as i wrote it, i kept uncovering headcanons that i wanted to dig into more! i think i was able to work through it enough that it is able to breathe, while also leaving breadcrumbs that i can expand on in the future :] and niko was fun to write!!

11. What work took you the longest to write?

being unknown! my first ever completed multichapter fic so i am also very proud of it as well :] i was able to write each individual chapter quickly enough (weekly posting!) but overall it was quite an endeavor

two very opposite ends of the spectrum! either the andor soundtrack or this crunch time playlist by @alaspoor-yorick that has been inducing manic states in my brain since 2019

Hii sorry for taking so long to answer </3 I thought abt it a bit and these are some general ideas i came up with.

Cub: teleportation, only once in every five minutes and in a 500 meters radius.

Scar: he’s got a Really good eyesight, he basically hits bullseye guaranteed, but he has to stay still when he does it, so it’s impractical during close combat fights (another option would be giving him immunity to fire, but he has to hold his breath for it).

Grian: based on how long she can touch her target they will experience progressively worse hallucinations, but its never a lethal thing.

Gem: can walk on any surface with ease (vertical or upside down) but she can still get dizzy for the blood rushing to her head so she cant do it for too long.

1. What got you into whump?

I'm gonna be so fr, I don't even remember. I've liked shows and movies with whumpy elements ever since I was a little kid, specifically with bondage and tying people up and all that. I've written stuff like that since before I even knew the TERM for whump.

5. Whumper turned Whumpee or Whumpee turned Whumper?

I LOVE a good whumper-turned-whumpee holy shit. Naturally, I love pushing the limits of any normal whumpee, but a former whumper? That's extra satisfying. Most of my whumpers are never COMPLETELY whumpers....they've been at the receiving end before, or they will be at one point.

7. Emotional or physical whump?

It's gotta be both, tbh. Won't enjoy someone beating the shit out of whumpee if they have no connection to each other; likewise, if there's emotional whump, part of it will be because there WAS physical whump in the past. Physical is deffo more fun tho...

9. Opinion on illness whump?

Not something I usually care for unless you write it in a HIGHLY SPECIFIC WAY with a HIGHLY SPECIFIC PERSON (cough cough m&w or b&w). I usually hate to research for it but it can melt my heart at times. I don't even see it as whump in that case, though. It's just a very unfortunate situation.

18. Do you prefer visual whump or written whump? Any reason why?

Ooh, for myself, I prefer visual whump. I always get whumperflies from it if it's something I like, it's just so good seeing the faces I like to envision actually looking horrified back at you! When I make something, though, I like written whump more. I can give MYSELF whumperflies, and it's just easier to do.

20. Opinion on little hurt all comfort?

Who said whumpee deserves so much comfort after not even going thru all the hurt? Nah, if they're getting comforted at all it better be for something HUGE. Otherwise, get back to torturing that thang! I'm not done yet!

pretty high i think.. my family has always eaten spicy food, so i’m used to it. i’ve had people accuse me of “tricking” them when i’ve said something isn’t spicy 🤷‍♀️

2. thoughts on veganism?

i should have more considering my best friend is a vegan, but it’s like “you do you”. honestly, i don’t really know that much about the meat (or dairy) industry — i’m sure there r ecofeminists eager to give me readings tho LOL — but regardless, if i were more mentally healthy and not recovering, i think i would try it. at the moment, though, it’s a no. (that being said, if a place has a portobello burger, no questions asked i’m getting that.)

about gordon-09, idk if u have explained b4 but why is he 09? is there anything else different with his universe or like chrs?

the reason why he's "09" is mostly a nod to the fact that my name is nines LOL, that's literally the explanation. it's due to the fact that i wanted to give my gordon a distinct name so people know who i am talking about, eventually i ended up turning "09" a universe as a whole. so barney is also an "09". haven't really thought of a specific lore reason why they're called that way, but maybe i'll think up of something :O the 09 AU is my own interpretation of the half life story, it basically follows the same narrative just with some changes like how barney remained on gordon's side throughout the BM incident, up until they got separated after an event. there's definitely some work-shopping i need to do and since i don't write that much that's gonna take a while ^^;

ok I absolutely adore the Shiki Victoria costume, I think the black and gray details give it so much dimension. How do you feel about this costume, or shiki costumes in general?

I usually prefer warmer colors for Victoria’s shading, but it really does give her a lot of nice depth and texture. The silver also makes me think of her as connected to the Jellicle Moon which is super cool, and the black in her makeup prevents her from getting the ghostly appearance her makeup occasionally has. I find the fluff on her collar bone to look a bit odd but as a whole unit a solid 8/10 Vicky, love her <3

As for Skiki designs in general, I’m a HUGE fan of the makeup and I really like the unitards, but some of the wigs look a little droopy to me. Most don’t have wigs like that, and I think the designs works for some cats like Bustopher and Jennyanydots, but for others like Jellylorum and Gus it just doesn’t really give me cat vibes, more like dogs or very cute bears (I’m basing this on the 2022 Nagoya run). Overall I really like the Shiki designs, the use of color, texture and patterns is so cool and I love it

i went to my city's pride today and someone was there with a "serving cunt at the vampire mansion" shirt >:3 it was a super cool day ! i was on a volunteer shift at one of the gates for most of the day and it was an awesome way to get to know the community here? pride in a big city is so different from pride in alaska. i almost cried when i saw the dykes on bikes

omg i love finding mcr fans at pride! At dyke march I complimented someones danger days patch and we got to talking and they recognized my url despite not being on tumblr sjfjshfjs they mentioned considering making an mcr tumblr but idk if they ever did. If they did and theyre following me hiiiiiiiii.

Im so glad that pride was fun! I feel like smaller prides/prides that fall outside of pride month are the absolute best, the sense of community is so strong and everyone is so friendly and sweet! And congrats on getting to see dykes on bikes my beloved. And i can second volunteering being a great place to start for finding local community, I've volunteered at dyke march for 2 years now and i absolutely love it (helps that it keeps falling on my birthday lol)

3. What’s something you read recently and wanted to argue with (either with the book or the author or the fans)?

this is a hard one but recently i’ve really been thinking about the representation of “the east” in asoiaf by grrm and how it’s so deeply rooted in orientalism. i’ve kind of drafted an entire essay on it because i keep thinking of crazy instances of very harmful stereotypes he shows. it makes me crazy like i need to yell at someone about it 😭
