YIPPEE YIPPEE YIPPEE I WAS HOPING THAT SOMEONE WOULD ASK THIS !!

scar makes video essays about anything and everything! one day, he'll upload something about amusement parks or roller coasters, and the next it'll be about a book he's read or a show he enjoyed. the video essays aren't really that edited, and sometimes they can go a little long when scar starts rambling about something unrelated mid-essay, but his personality shines through, and it shines bright. sometimes, though...he seems lonely, and i think that's what makes grian so curious about him. how can this bright, boisterous man, full of so much life, be lonely? surely he has friends - surely he has people to listen to his endless ramblings, to listen and to hear. but...sometimes it doesn't seem like it. sometimes, when scar posts little mini-essays just talking about his day - what he ate for breakfast, the silly thing his cat did that afternoon - he seems awfully lonely indeed. and i think that grian's lonely too - he works long hours to keep himself busy, to keep himself distracted from the gnawing feeling that something is missing, that his life is meant to have more to it than this - then going to work and coming home and eating and sleeping and existing. and i think that endears scar to him. and then especially when he starts noticing the similarities between scar and hoyguy - his rampant curiosity kicks in, and it's all over from there.

as for how grian stumbled across scar's channel...he actually isn't sure. he seemingly was just...subscribed to him one day, with no recollection of doing so. honestly, he figures that scar just...bought some subscribers as a way to kickstart his channel, and doesn't really question it!
