Matt remembered rumbling, falling concrete and water. He remembered one minute Elektra was in his arms and the next she was ripped away from him while he too disappeared into the abyss. Soon he couldn’t breath and all the sounds he heard felt like he was under water. Then there was silence and stillness. 

 He swore he felt vibrations but nothing was moving around him. It felt as though he were in some deep tunnel, yet he couldn’t actually sense any walls surrounding the space. In short everything felt...off. 

“Is this my punishment?” Matt spoke into the void. “For thinking you put the devil in me?”
