they had jesse start the confession tape with "he was my teacher" because it was easy to forget after five seasons that his and walt's relationship was founded on a power imbalance. as he sat there being exploited by hank to settle a personal score, making a tape that would later be mocked and derided by a gang devoted to exploiting him, he started his story with that sentence to remind us all that he was exploited from the very beginning

Why does everybody, including Rory, assume that school would be easy for Jess? Because he's smart? Because he's well-read?
Being well-read would do exactly nothing to help Jess pass chemistry, algebra, or Spanish. Reading every book on the planet doesn't mean Jess has the executive functioning skills necessary to study or manage his homework.
And we KNOW that Jess' schooling was interrupted. They moved constantly, which means Jess changed schools constantly. Liz was financially unstable and completely disengaged as a parent: both of those things lead to school absences. If Jess missed entire chunks of math and science, no amount of natural intelligence magically erases that.
AND Jess has obvious mental health issues. You know what makes it really hard to succeed in school? Intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, chronically high anxiety, hypervigilance, poor sleep patterns, and a lack of social skills needed to ask for help. Doesn't matter if you're the smartest human on Earth: nobody can pass a physics test if they're in the middle of a panic attack.
It bugs me that everyone collectively rolls their eyes at Jess' school problems. It's entirely based on the (wrong and VERY dumb) assumption that if he simply walked into the school building and put pencil to paper, he'd instantly ace his classes.

I've gotta make a fake trailer for show/movie turning it into a different genre which theoretically is hilarious and fun, but I'm scared because now the fate of my bachelors degree lies in the hands of a shitpost

Worst thing about Abbott Elementary is that it's never been on the air at the same time as New Girl. It would've been the crossover of the century. RIP Jess Day, you would've loved Janine Teagues.

adhd is diverse and so are individual experiences with it. for example, jesse pinkman was unquestionably diagnosed by age 7 at the very latest for being king of classroom disruption and not cleaning his room, but his parents refused to have him put on stimulant medication because adderall and ritalin are "basically meth". jimmy mcgill just got hit with yardsticks a lot by the nuns at catholic school for Shenanigans and his dad turned stocking inventory on the store shelves into a fun racing game to tire his ass out.

How do you think Walter and Mr. Krabs would generally act in Trials? Not how they would react to specific scenarios, just what do you think they would do? How seriously do you think they will take it? Will they take the lead or provide support? How good would they be when it comes to making new theories?
Walter & Krabs fans take notes
Krabs would be somewhere in the middle in terms of overall trial competence. He wouldn’t take much of a centre stage in anything, that is, unless he came up with a big theory. He would gather everyone’s attention with a “listen up”, and he’d either be completely off or somewhat there, but it really depends on if the particular case lines up with any of his own expertise. He’s have some of his own comic relief moments, mainly about money or free labour (“they weren’t even getting paid to do all that!”)
Walter on the other hand, I feel like he’d be on the same playing field as L and Hayasaka. However, I don’t think he’d be so cooperative with his theories, unless gathering information would benefit him. He’d be the type to help explain some harder parts to the others, however with Jesse in the mix, I feel like he’d have that hurdle of trying to focus while Jesse stands on the other side of the room making terrible theories or saying to him “in English, yo,” anytime he says something. Then, we can bet Walter’s patience would run very thin very quickly.
