hello!! ive been following u for a bit from ur old blog and i just wanted to say i really love your art and ur selfships!! im also a 7D selfshipper and its super cool to see other people like those goobers :]] I was wondering if u can share some lore abt ur 7D s/i and their dynamic with Bashful? They're super cute to me and I'd love to know more!!

Ahhhhhh thank you!! I'm actually really surprised to see just how many people remember this show!! It was honestly what caused me to first dip into Selfshipping, and Bashful was my very first F/O!!

Now, when it comes to the lore of my S/I... I will warn I haven't gotten anything really set in stone, but most of what I've got for now will be put below!

Essentially, they're a witch who's a little less troublesome than others- They live out in the Enchanted Forest, minding their business mostly making potions to sell to other creatures, but never actively seek out trying to mess with anyone who comes upon their home-

Amongst other Witches and Warlocks, they're seen as way too soft or way too clumsy (Most tend to focus on the tail which is a long story 💀) but they do get along with a select few! Mainly Grim, who gets the whole "Bumbling and clumsy" thing way too well-

How did they meet Bashful? Well, really hard to say- Could have gotten lost and separated from the rest of the group during a job, could have been sent out to gather firewood during a camping trip by Grumpy, but one thing's for sure: Stumbling upon a rather witchy looking place out in the middle of the woods is usually bad news- Especially when you get creeped up on by something and have the daylights scared out of you 😭

And when you accidentally scare one of the 7d so bad he faints, in the middle of the Enchanted Forest where literally every other witch, warlock, and magical being wants them out.. Yeahhh, probably best to keep him hidden for a bit- So he's brought into their cottage and gets to rest in a chair until he recovers. And to help him be a little less terrified when he wakes up, they set out a cup of tea and a rather apologetic note while they go back to work in the other room-

And that's really how things kick off for them!! Slow to start, sure, but it all leads to a pair fully capable in matching each other's energy: Both equally sheepish, with moments of sass and rare confidence, and tossing in their shared love of music (I mean. Bashful sings, plays percussion and harmonica, and picks up on Lute shockingly fast, he's almost as musically gifted as Happy tbh-) they have a lot in common!

Granted, Sal does have moments of being a little too sassy or dense for their own good, but it's okay! They make up for it in their enthusiasm and affectionate nature towards him 😭

But that's pretty much it! Just the tale of a timid dwarf and a peculiar witch! Thank you so much for reaching out about them!! I never really go into such depth about my personas for series, it's honestly so much fun!!

BEST EXPERIENCE : aaa i don't want to say 'best' because i'm really enjoying where i'm at right now but the memories that stick out to me most are when i was apart of a group. the tekken rpc here is still so friendly ♡ but before that i had a group of ff friends on a different site. maybe that's the joy of playing canon characters but unfortunately i'm probably sticking with this muse for a while sldkj adri has a chokehold on me-

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : i think the biggest dealbreaker is having a lot of negative/guilt trippy ooc. and idk if this one is a common belief so much these days or maybe just not around here but the whole elitist attitude of higher word count = better writing. omg did that mentality grind my gears lmao. also just being intolerant in general of people's ideas/portrayals/anything and feeling the need to express it rather than just walking away.

MUSE PREFERENCES : female or femme apparently lol. when i had a multi they were all female characters so yeah. idk what it is, maybe i just put way too much pressure on myself when it comes to male characters but i just can't feel comfortable writing them even though there's so many i love. 😭 i also can't do villains. i love morally gray and angst and even dark themes as long as it can be balanced out with fluff and comfort and sweet things.

PLOTS OR MEMES : as much as i appreciate the ease of memes, they're a hit or miss a lot of the time for me. i rarely post them much nowadays but i do still like to send them in for others! i feel a lot more comfy plotting something first, even if it's just the bare minimum cause i like the certainty of being on the same page and making sure we want to write the same ideas.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : both! i just write whatever i'm feeling at the moment really, sometimes that's something short and casual or more long and introspective.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : definitely in the morning, or generally anytime right after i wake up while my brain still feels refreshed and uncluttered.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : lol no. i mean we're both air signs so there's that, but adri is nice and outgoing and i'm more reserved and cautious. i think in a way writing them helps me to channel all the positive emotions i have a hard time expressing into something productive. c:

3. How easy to annoy is your oc? Do they have common pet-peeves or are they stoic in response to everything? What is their reaction if the source doesn’t stop?

He's both incredibly annoying and incredibly hard to annoy 😔✊. He's pretty tolerant of most things and I'd imagine you'd have to be given the people he hangs out with JFHSJF. He's more apt to just laugh things off and/or say he'll get you back for it (and he will). The only thing that really annoys him is when people talk poorly about Valen or treat her poorly when he's around. A good way to earn a swift punch to the head <3.

4. How does your oc view housework? Do they absolutely hate it? Do they enjoy having their surroundings neat and tidy or do they not notice?

He's messy but mostly because he forgets to clean up after himself. He has no problem doing it when he's asked to and that goes for most chores. Just don't put him on laundry duty bc he might put bugs or smth in your clothes bc he thinks it's funny 😭.

7. How would you describe your oc’s voice? Do they have an accent? Do you have any voice claims for them?

Uhhhh idk like medium pitched? Not too low, not too high but it's masculine sounding ig?? Him and Valen probably both have kinda ambiguous accents since they traveled all over growing up but like.. vaguely british or smth like I think we see in eso with bosmer.

Depends! She generally tries to follow instructions especially if she doesn't know what she's doing. But she might deviate a little bit if she figures she has a better idea. Results vary when she does that fjshfjd

12. How skilled at lying is your oc? How frequently do they lie? For what reason? What situations would be the exception?

SOOOOO bad at it, you can literally see her taking psychic damage. So she rarely does it. She might try to tell a half truth to save someone's feelings but she generally just tries to phrase things as gently as she can.

25. How jumpy or easily spooked is your oc? Do they have a fight or flight reflex to being startled, or are they never startled at all?

Uhhhh, like average maybe? She gets a bit spooked if you take her by surprise or smth but that's mostly just kinda jumping around to see what's going on. She's generally a good sport about people startling her on purpose but Sylvan or Valkya get a flick to the forehead (worst thing she could ever possibly do to someone tbh :/). She has days where she's more on edge like after heavy combat or if something bad happened.

hi hiiiii... I need like a harsh shifting motivation because I feel like I've been having some sort of shifting block lately and I'm a little uninspired because of it.

(LONG POST AHEAD WITH RANTING BEWARE)

HEY LOVE i am very glad you decided to reach out and send this message and i hope i will be able to help you at least a little bit

however i do want to mention that it is very possible no matter what i say or however way i try to tell you that shifting isn't an inside joke but quite possibly a true and real thing you can experience - there is a high chance you will still continue to have doubts. i don't think it is humanly possible to not have doubts about something until you experience it/see it yourself (or maybe hear it from a very very trusted source) especially if you are a very skeptical person in general or one who overthinks and questions everything. another thing in relation to that is - i have not shifted myself so more or less i am kind of in the same state as you - i don't necessarily know what and who to believe and what to disregard

HOWEVER!!!! one thing that kind of had made me so into reality shifting (besides the fact that it's super fun and a very cool concept lmao) is that i have not once seen a good argument that supports the theory that shifting is fake (ofc i can be corrected at any point here) but well okay so let's see what arguments we come across the most;

shifting is fake/impossible. - okay why? silence…nope thats it. thats their whole argument and when you ask them to explain further they don't have anything meaningful to say or back it up with. -10/10

you are delusional - which makes no sense? when you compare reality shifting from people who claim to have experience it and then compare it to the delusions of people who actually suffer from different mental disorders that have delusion as a symptom you find both of them to be completely irrelevant and different things. people who are genuienly delusional have a very distinct thought and speech patterns that are not present with people who claim to have reality shifted. plus i think it is quite a rare condition and i doubt it will be seen as often as it is so this argument is also quite invalid. (also delusional disorder, schizophrenia, DID, maladaptive daydreaming etc etc have literally nothing in common with shifting so whoever says that STFU lmao) (let's not even go to the point where they use it as an insult and in turn insult mentally ill people who without their shit already suffer enough) 1/10

you are lying - now this is the only one that kind of could make sense since people lie a lot and have indeed lied about shifting - i remember this girl on tiktok that said her body left her DR when she shifted back and i was like gorl💀 it is quite obvious when someone is lying tbh however yes there is a possibility that quite a lot of people are lying but lets get this to the next level why do people usually lie? they usually lie to get some form of recognition or attention right? sometimes people lie to protect themselves however lying about something like shifting so publicly is definitely not about that. okay so let's assume that it is for recognition for a following maybe, maybe to be a part of a community etc etc - okay so where does that leave all the countless other stories of people who also shared their stories without getting any sort of recognition - who for example send many anon messages confirming they have shifted or who post on discord let's say, amino, reddit - yes you can say they are still lying, still hoping to get something out of it but cmon every single one - like not every single person would do something like that? it just doesn't fit right?? it doesn't make sense. however still this is one of my biggest doubts because i just cannot be sure 5/10

it's lucid dreaming - my favourite one. THE STUPIDEST ONE. (besides the one with no argument lol) firST OF ALL!!! lucid dreaming as realistic as it can get is fucking dreaming - dreams are blurry, hazy, they make no logical sense (hence why you usually have 365 fingers) dreams last usually up to an hour and i think the maximum a dream can last is 2 hours. (which not all of it you are going to be lucid and conscious) how are people supposedly dreaming for days and weeks at a time? absolutely stupid comment also lucid dreaming used to be considered fake and delusional :) sooo…waddup with that -1/10

OKAY so we can come to the conclusion with this that there is currently more stuff in support of shifting than against it. so we can at least keep and open mind and entertain the idea right? okay now.. how do you keep yourself motivated and inspired and get yourself rid of that block…okay so i was super unmotivated a month or so ago - i didnt really feel my old dr i was starting to get bored of nothing happening… soo maybe what you need to do is change things up a bit? start a new show, book,movie and create a new dr, or even create a new world yourself - something you have always wanted to see or experience or even a person you have always wanted to be - start focusing on that creating a script, playlists, pinterest boards, drawings, edits even whatever you want and inspires you. start reading/watching other people's stories on reddit, discord, amino, tiktok. maybe potentially find a friend (unless you are asocial like me lol) to share it with. or maybe if nothing works just give yourself a break maybe that is what you need - shifting is never going to go away after all even if you are 80 it is still going to be there for you to experience and have fun with. there is really no rush and it is completely okay to be burnt out

even if you keep having doubts i suggest you keep trying (at the end of the day if anything trying to shift can be quite a healthy habbit - i mean cmon meditating is extremely beneficial for you, sleeping well, positive affirmations - the process itself is good for you) - as long as you keep an open mind and by that i mean keeping it mind that it might not be true and still being okay with that - there is absolutely nothing wrong with trying and trying and trying. (why im saying the "you should be okay with it not being real" is because i dont want you being dependent on shifting, or your happiness being dependent on it - remember that idealizing things be it people, places, memories - is never a good idea and it never ends well and is never what you thought it would be - (like for example you shift for someone and they turn out to be a horrible person yk?)) (if you are in a bad living situation and you find this the only way you can escape things get very complicated and though i understand i do not feel qualified or knowledgable enough to help)

also one of the things that always motivates me (maybe because i can be SLIGHTLY narcissistic) is if there is even the slightest possibility that you are literally going to experience one of the most exciting and weird things known that quite a few people experience then sign me up honestly idc fjdsfds
