@samsteacup STRAP IN I HAVE SOME ADVICE IN A V INCOHERENT POST.
Seriously if you're queer and feel comfortable using the app, then Grindr is thr way to go. Maybe scruff too if your area is active on there and you're a hairy dude but I have newvr used scruff myself - I've heard not good and good things so who knows on that front tbh.
I met one person using OkCupid last year, and she turned out to be a) teans feminine which isn't my bag and b) asexual so we weren't that compatible anyway. But she was lovely and is on my fb and insta friends lists. But I had NO LUCK on there at all. Just lots of fuck boys tbh in my area at least.
Grindr is where I meet older guys lmao. Its v much more geared towards sex and hookups than it is 'dating' though some people do use it for that as well as or instead of hooking up. In my area there's people of all ages from literally like 18 up to as old as you want to go tbh. Be upfront, even in your bio make it clear what you want. If you want older guys maybe say 'don't contact me if you're under <age>'? Ngl my grindr bio jsut says I like michael sheen and that seems to work for me :x
I either get younger guys into him too or older guys making jokes about how they dont look like him but.. lol
Practice safe sex, get on prep if you can, use condoms and dental dams and maybe even finger cots and other thigns like that, until you're sure someone has nothing you can catch yourself. Don't meet people alone initially, meet them in public places so you can run if they turn out to be a creep. If you do go somewhere to hook up that's more private, keep your safety kn mind at all times. If something or someone feels off, LEAVE.
Mostly tho, have fun! Idk your gender or sexuality so I don't wanna like assume that you'd be into what grindr offers but if you are then I've found my local area to be WAY more accepting of me being trans than I ever expected too. I've hooked up with several guys of varying ages and some are confused but got the spirit and most are jsut cool witj me not having a dick basically lmao. It surprised me a lot that my area at least is v trans friendly and I see t4t people of all genders on there a lot too if that's more your thing than cis guys or whatever
Be aware that you will grt sent pics of genitals and butt's and either embrace it or block people liberally. I block anyone with no pics for example that messages me without sending any over, due to personal preference. I also block chasers and creeps liberally. Butni still get lots of messages and have a few people I talk to regularly on there, and a small handful (teehee) of guys that I see semi regularly now for sex and other fun things.
Hookup culture is great imo, I love and treasure it, it is like a brother to me. Its not for everyone and there is no shame in that! But if it does turn out to be your thing it can be lots of fun! Just be safe and sensible. Avoid chemsex for example unless you know what you're doing and the people you're doing it with. Don't get in too deep with people who have no interest in your wellbeing.
And finally, please feel free to ask me anything, anyone can at any time and I will do my best to answer yall! Whether it's about hooking up or safe sex or whatever. I'm here for yall, I mean it.

Intro post (Genshin blog)
Well, now I have three blogs. Huh. Funny how Tumblr does that to ya.
Anyway, My name is Frog. If you know my main blog shhhhh I'm not here, that blog is linked to me professionally. It's cool to follow and interact with this blog, just don't acknowledge that this exists on my main I beg of you. If you're here from my alt, @officially-other, hello! Here's my genshin infodump/writing/lore account.
If you don't know what the fuck I'm on about when it comes to either of those blogs... Well, for one, @officially-other is the main blog on this account so that's where I follow from. Here's who I am:
He/him pronouns
Trans, panromantic, polyamorous, just generally queer
auDHD
20
My special interests include: Writing, Genshin Impact (duh), music, anime, the ocean, witchcraft, and "weird miscellaneous facts."
My favorite characters are currently: Neuvilette, Zhongli, Scara(Wanderer/Scaramouche/that one fucking dude,) Childe, Tighnari, Alhaitham. I have a lot of favorites, I write most male characters tbh, but those are the ones I find myself coming back to writing most often. (No hate for the women btw- I just come from roleplay and my rp partner yoinks all the women to play.)
Disaster multishipper. Could probably be convinced into most ships. I ship on a whim.
I might post other fandoms someday but I highly doubt it honestly
This blog is mostly for headcanons, fic writing, screaming about the blorbo of the week, and lore. This ranges from whatever I'm writing at the moment, reblogs of whatever genshin stuff I like, liveblogging quests/wiki rabbit holes, or whatever their incoherent screaming I come up with.
Inbox is always open, if anyone wants to know my thoughts on anything! Don't be afraid to throw random asks at me,
DNI: homophobes, transphobes, queer phobia of any form, "MAP's", anyone who would discriminate based on religion or spirituality of any sort, under 16, minors you're okay but also please understand that I might not respond if I'm uncomfortable talking with someone of your age, antishippers or anti-proshippers. (I don't hate y'all, you can follow if you want, I just think you guys will hate me lol.)
I'm not sure I count as a proshipper, it depends on your definition, but generally I just don't care what people do so long as it's not harming any real life people and it's away from me if I think it's icky. If that makes you want to send anon hate or yell at me, then just don't follow me. Also don't harass me over ships or lore opinions or headcanons please.

omg l interested in your strange opinion about Carlo 👀
basically...i feel like he doesn't have a very coherent sense of his own identity–i'll explain that more in a minute.  really, the main detail where i seem to differ in opinion from some other people is that i think he doesn't really have a lot of connection to his past/heritage–he seems very american to me and i think he thinks of himself that way (to an extent).  considers himself a businessman, i think, probably calls himself one too, and not in a winking "i'm a legitimate businessman" way either; i think he believes it in some sense.  he's a modernizer, he has no regard for tradition or old values, he's very "this is a business and we should run it like one."  he's narratively contrasted very hard against vinci & leo, who are old school–leo says of him in ch6, “he’s new blood, whereas don vinci is a man of honor, he respects the old ways,” and i don’t recall him being referred to as “don falcone” at any point (he might’ve been at some point idk)–i actually have a headcanon that people mostly call him “mr. falcone” in contrast to the other bosses.  additionally, carlo’s killing of moretti, another old school traditionalist, was symbolic of modernization in a way too.  he’s a lucky luciano type to his core, no time for old “outdated” traditions.  overall he strikes me much more as this like, “new american wiseguy” rather than having much of a connection to any kind of legacy, though i imagine that has to cause some level of internal strife.
now to get into the incoherency thing, he has a very specific image he seems to be going for; he's known for philanthropy, and there's a newspaper clipping from the potts files talking about his "cheerful attitude" and him being a donor to the empire bay press guild and how he's always getting slandered, so clearly he's good at PR, though the cheerful thing seems to be a facade just for the press.  overall i think he's trying to seem like a businessman, and he's trying to seem upper class and refined.  but he's new money.  he grew up a working class immigrant kid, and no amount of philanthropy and and charisma and opera-going is going to make any of the old money snobs see past that.  i get the vibe in his later years he’s kind of ashamed at having grown up poor, or at least he has this sense of “i’m never going back” (probably the same way vito does, but carlo…had what it took, i guess) that probably makes it difficult to reconcile the fact that he had some good times back then–he even expresses nostalgia for his prohibition days in the planetarium shootout.  hell, the existence of the maltese falcon bar kind of sums it up–it’s a nice restaurant themed after pulp detective novels, which were considered fairly lowbrow at the time (and hell, maybe even now).  it’s a contradiction.  i feel like, to an extent, he probably talks himself out of thinking those were the good old days, but i don’t think he can let go completely.
thirdly i think he had a lot of doubts about killing moretti and probably had to talk himself into it, convincing himself it was for the good of the family and he could do much better than the old man, and that the war just needed to end.  he doesn’t seem heartless to me either–he rewarded eddie and jack for their loyalty, he kept tony balls around after he survived the car bomb that killed moretti, he still regards eddie as a close friend despite secretly viewing him as a liability.  he seems personable enough and actually talks to his men even if, again, for PR reasons.  i think he probably went further off the rails as the stress of being boss got to him and there were multiple attempts on his life (rocco, frankie potts), he got paranoid and arrogant, and and he finally spiraled into “everyone who stands in my way has to go” and recklessly attacking everyone, but i don’t think he started that way.  he would’ve gone after the other families sooner if he had.  he certainly doesn’t seem to alienate people as fast as, say, clemente does.
honestly i think i kind of lost the plot trying to explain myself here and maybe i’ll make another post someday if i can figure out a better way to word things, but the long and short of it is that i think he’s a walking contradiction in many ways and it wears on him.  and to borrow a line from “red light” by wall of voodoo (which is a great song btw), his attitude is very much “this modern world deserves a modern attitude!
