some of the responses i've seen people had about the new makoto shinkai's film is kinda hilarious to me
#this is why people need to understand that aesthetics is not everything to the story#take for example ganbare nakamura-kun's mangaka have done a lot of horror/supernatural works before#and the thing no one expect that from them especially if you've only read nakamura-kun#because their style is a bit retro and cutesy that people nowadays mostly associates with 'pure harmless content'#but nope#syundei-sensei's horror works are disturbing as fuck#and surprisingly the retro aesthetic works very well with the stories#so.... yeah don't judge a book by it's covers#your so called non-problematic creators have done weird shit in their art#the least you can do is accept it and understand that just because someone have created something disturbing#doesn't mean they indulge or support those things irl#tmi tag
